For Research use CoinMarketcap to see pricing & total supply as some are a few cents with only a million coins and some others only a few satochi but billions of coins.
Plus read their discussion forms, to see the coin's general mood and direction.
You will also want to determine what amount of coins is needed per block to stake as fast as possible to gleam the effect of compound interest.

If you decide on any of them, Here is a link to my bootstrap service to save time syncing with the coin's network.
Kiklo's Bootstrap.dat & Blockchain Snapshot for Proof of Stake Coins

 Cool

@kiklo I will pay 10TALK for any quote of the day I post so PM an address Smiley

full list of multi-algo coins, in chronological order of release/fork to multi-algo.

    Huntercoin
    Myriad
    Saffroncoin
    Parallelcoin
    Joincoin
    Digibyte*
    Digitalcoin
    Neoscoin (since forked to mono-algo)
    Unitus
    Aurora* (fork ~1st May)
    Verge (to be released)

Sadly, Saffron and Parallel seem to be on their death throes... and Huntercoin, while technically multi-algo, is a rather different design. So in the multi-algo arena, I really consider there to be only 6 contenders as of yet.

* Coins with the same algos as Myriad

quote of the day
What are some of the issues with a private blockchains?

Is this a serious question?  Private chains/federated chains = counterparty risk, central point of failure, no anti-fragile attributes, no reason for anyone to keep the system up and running if it's no longer profitable or beneficial to the federated administrator.  The list goes on?  The fact that the "trusted parties" can cease functionality of the chain at will makes it impossible to use as a real store of value unless the counterparty is maybe the government and you're already forced or held hostage to "trust" them.  But those systems already exist...it's called central banker IOU notes.
Using the blockchain to recreate legacy financial systems is a Rube Goldberg machine.

*Decred is an open, progressive, and self-funding cryptocurrency with a system of community-based governance integrated into its blockchain. At its core is a hybridized proof-of-work proof-of-stake (PoW/PoS) consensus system that aims to strike a balance between PoW miners and PoS voters to create a more robust notion of consensus. << BLAKE >>

quote of the Day

"TOP myths of Krypto"
- If Bitcoin fails, alts fail too.

- PoS is insecure.

- Price of a PoW coin is backed by electricity consumption.

- PoS has no intrinsic value, PoW intrinsic value is in the consumed electricity.

- People need smart contracts.

- Governments will be happy to embrace Bitcoin when they realize its potential.

My Take on the following:
Intrinsic Value
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/i/intrinsicvalue.asp
Quote
The intrinsic value is the actual value of a company or an asset based on an underlying perception of its true value including all aspects of the business, in terms of both tangible and intangible factors.
This value may or may not be the same as the current market value.
PoS Coin's Ability to Reproduce more of it's own kind does give it an intrinsic value, that a sterile coin or token does not have.

Easy Agricultural comparison like the Intrinsic Value of a Seed
http://x-fin.com/stocks/usa/SEED

And for the PoW comparison
The ASICS holds the Intrinsic Value not the coins they produce.
Since they can be used to reproduce other PoW coins of the same algo.
Problem, their value drops due to increasing difficulty which kills their profit potential.
At most switching to newer PoW coins with the same algo is the only real way to get more than a year's use of an ASICS .

PoW is not secure because the PoW 51% attack tactic currently has no Defense. Wink

http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-mining-detente-ghash-io-51-issue/
Quote
"[GHash] got brazen at 55% from 2014-06-12 11:53:05 until 2014-06-13 09:45:24 GMT, for almost 24 hours. And prior to that, it seems to have tested the waters over a period of 10 days or so, perhaps gauging the public's reaction."
Funny today Ghash is only at 1%.

Quote
Proof of Stake is the only way to make money in the long run , buying Sterile BTC or Tokens that can not make more of themselves is Pure Speculation.

Example: It is like a farmer buying a herd of cattle that are sterile. He only makes money if the market is higher when he has to sell, if the market is down when he has to sell , he just wasted his Time & Money, where if he buys a herd of cattle that can produce Offspring, he is able to keep his original amount of cattle and sell off any excess , therefore giving him a
Lifetime of Revenue verses a One-time Completely Speculative Time Sensitive Investment

TALK is devoted to the entire BTCtalk community and is a part of it. It just can't die! Hope it will draw people's attention soon and reach a real success one day.
For now it would not be bad to get a Yobit listing as a birthday present  Grin
