Nothing like a bit of suspense. I'm still holding and also have a large wallet on a broken laptop hoping one day it will be worth having fixed Hi you may remember i posted this a while back id like some info please ! If the laptop is broken and on the very first VTR wallet will i be fine just leaving it broken for now if the dev is going to fork or should i get the coins onto a new wallet I'm not a geek I'm an investor I mined the coins at the start i think its around 200k and have never really touched them so not exactly pocket change now and definitely won't be soon, but don't worry guys I'm not dumping as there is definately something going on here and always has been, this will be a top 10 ! Genuine help appreciated ! Your coins will be fine, just load the wallet.dat into the new wallet and your good to go. What's wrong with your laptop? will it power up? The screen is smashed to bits !

You could try to start your laptop by connecting it to a monitor. That's a cheap fix - just need a cable. Next, you could take out the hard drive (easy) and dock it. Then connect the docked hard disk to a working computer and find the wallet.dat file by searching through your windows file manager. https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-External-Duplicator-Function-EC-HDD2/dp/B00IKC14OG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1474808557&sr=8-1&keywords=Hdd+dockWith the dock, your hard drive is treated like a USB stick

looks like someone keeps dumping their own coins on them selves, trying to keep the price down.
pre-pump behavior. Most prob, it's over due a price correction. Possibly. The other interesting part is that there are now ~16-20% of coins listed on Bittrex and about ~1% on RAWX; that is much higher than has ever been on Bittrex if I recall but still shows that most coins aren't even in play. So whichever way you look at it around ~75-80% of coins aren't listed on any exchange. The other thing is that barely anyone seems to actually be staking although a decent number are running the wallet.

The previous wallet did a good job of auto-staking. Not sure the new wallet is working in the same way.

The previous wallet did a good job of auto-staking. Not sure the new wallet is working in the same way. Well for sure it works as I'm staking right now (and if I don't stake then the staking difficulty on bittrex and cryptoguru goes right down to near zero; conversely when I do stake it raises extremely high). The other thing is that you do have to unlock the wallet specifically for staking and not just general use (there is a tick box which I believe wasn't present on the previous clients)

Anyone can tell me why this coin would be "better" than others? When did the dev write news last time? Time frame for stuff to get released? It's been 1½ year since the thread came up and nothing is done yet or?

That would require all the effort of looking up the OPs thread history and speed reading through about ~150 posts. That's going to require a lot of effort on your part. I wish you well.

Hey vTorrent, I stumbled across this project and it piqued my interest. I normally develop in C#/Java, but I'd be interested in helping out on this project in any way I can. Let me know what needs to be done and how I can help -pickle

Did you notice the article author states any solution introducing a new altcoin is not viable? regardless of whether he is right or wrong there, but I would not trust this author or rely on his conclusions, just because he seems to be genuinely subjective and somewhat biased. This may be even paid article, not sure.
