Updates? are you mad? Dev don't do updates. And what exactly is he doing ? Procrastinating? seems vTorrent dev has responded to 'bad language' and cuss words in the past ... might be time to 'four-letter' him out of the code bunker for an update

My grandmother used to say that you'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar Dear Mr developer, please, please, please, if it's not too much trouble, could you inform the community of what you are currently working on and how far along are you from implementing torrents onto the block chain? Please note that I am not asking for a delivery date, but just curious as to how development is going. Maybe a few sentences or pretty screenshot would be nice, as we have waited nearly one year. Kind Regards, Leigh.

I'd assume the dev would try it out on testnet? I checked and there were transfers for similar throw-away amounts over the past 2 weeks or so.

I don't even know why people act so naive.
Its simply a matter of a guy who had an idea and thought it would be easy, so he made a lot of claims and hype, but once he got down to it, realized it would not be quite so easy. Besides , exactly what is the point of torrentz + cryptocoins ? Perhaps torrent + cryptography, but not a coin. For you to actually make this work , you need a way to monetize content in a way that will result people actually opting to buy/upload, maybe in collaboration with a original content provider, you could get somewhere, but not as current.
Just some thoughts.

Pirate Bay Founder: ‘I Have Given Up’December 11, 2015 // 02:26 PM EST“The internet is shit today. It’s broken. It was probably always broken, but it’s worse than ever.”
My conversation with, Peter Sunde, one of the founders and spokespersons of The Pirate Bay, did not start out optimistically. There’s good reason for that: In the last couple of months, the contemporary download culture shows heavy signs of defeat in the battle for the internet.
Last month we saw Demonii disappear. It was the biggest torrent tracker on the internet, responsible for over 50 million trackers a year. Additionally, the MPAA took down YIFY and Popcorn Time. Then news got out that the Dutch Release Team, an uploading collective, made a legal settlement with anti-piracy group BREIN.
While it might look like torrenters are are still fighting this battle, Sunde claims that the reality is more definitive: “We have already lost.” http://motherboard.vice.com/read/pirate-bay-founder-peter-sunde-i-have-given-up?utm_source=mbfbEvery day that passes is bring more and more demand for something like this. There are at least a half-dozen registration only websites that could easily be replaced by this project.

I disagree with you on the possible uses of crypto and torrents. The fact that torrents could be put onto a blockchain and there's not a god damn thing the MPAA or any other organisation could do, is a billion dollar idea. This is why I have kept my coins, just in case the Dev does pull it off.

You really haven't researched file sharing. Go take a closer look at what file sharing is really like beyond the pages of TPB. There already exist paid torrent services, featuring blistering speeds and blinding methods that make it impossible to tell who downloaded what. What part of this exactly is a billion dollar idea, in fact, convince me this is a million dollar idea.

What part of this exactly is a billion dollar idea, in fact, convince me this is a million dollar idea. I live in the UK where the government has told ISP's to block torrent sites. It's now increasingly harder for your average Joe to use torrent sites, thanks to organisations like the MPAA and others lobbying governments. Torrents on the blockchain via a search function in the wallet would solve this. Let's also take freedom of speach into consideration also. Let's say I made a video that spoke out about the government or had some whistle blower info I needed to get out, then torrents on the blockchain would be the best amd safest way of me staying private and asking sure that the message could not be taken down.
