Quick note I have been offered a review unit from bitmaintech . I will post the review when I get the unit. I want to thank them… I got a pm from BitmainWarranty this morning. I will set it up and match up against the sp20's I have. I am fair honest and will try to show which is better and why. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=383527Thanks to bitmainwarranty for the offer.

This is the fourth string miner that I know of - the others being the OneString and Yazio (or whatever) boards with Bitfury chips, and the Prisma. I know plenty about how reliable the Prismas are, but not enough about the Bitfury-based boards. (A previous post mentions a fifth design I had not previously seen, so chalk that one up).
XBTec have been using it on their custom BE200 designs for a long time now without problems.

Shipping, still a rip off, is half of what the S3's STILL are. Bitmain, bust out the plasma cutter and lop the tops off those S3's to knock down the weight! S3 shipping weight 6.2kg S5 shipping weight 3.5kg

now, first batch of S5 sold out in 12 hours. good luck to you guys.
Nope, not sold out. Let me put it to you: BMT are unsure about the stability of the S5 and they have only sold a few to test RMA requests. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if they can beat SP-Tech 1 (one) voluntary RMA in Thousands... dude, you are really working hard here, I hope you get your free sample of sp20. I don't accept free units, all of my miners are paid for. thanks for your concern. then you are really stupid if you are doing it for free. Have you not seen his GIANT affiliate link banner for ST? He's one of their biggest affiliates - he doesn't need the free units, only to continually post and disparage in competitor's threads.

Warning: Just received PM from Author named "BITMAINE". Seems very suspicious and has -6 trust rating. If this is truly a BitMain account, please verify.
Thanks, that guy is persistent. Forwarded to tomato as well. If in the future you want to check if someone is a BITMAIN account (apart from me), check BITMAIN's signature.

Just wanted to throw my experience in here. I have purchased many tens of thousands of dollars of mining equipment from Bitmain, as well as other sellers, and have had my share of problems with each in one form or another. But, in all of my experiences, I have never had the level of customer support that I have encountered while working with Bitmain. Whether that be at the company level (sending in service tickets/support) or at the forum level (Dogie's help with issues here and there). I have been very happy with all of my purchases from Bitmain and continue to achieve positive ROI on every single unit I buy from them. The experience that took the cake was last weekend when their American Service Group helped me with my problem throughout the weekend and ultimately made me the happiest I have ever been being a bitcoin miner customer.
In conclusion, you can compare other companies all you want and promises and guarantees, Bitmain has come through and delivered for me time and time again. I am currently trying to convince my parents and family to open up some power space for me at their place as I want to buy 6 or 7 of these S5's right off the bat, and need some place to put them.

Will those who opted for L1 refunds in full bitcoin receive them soon? Will place an order if I get the refund.
If you're ordering S5s from L1 refunds, why don't you choose option 3 and have the value refunded in a greater value S5 coupon?

Still no answer on this one Checking. it's should deserve not "checking" but a major hurry. Everyone who is ordering at prices listed on the website is losing $12-13/miner (the btc price difference between "real" and "bitmains" btc price is up to almost $9-10 or ~3% right now). They will have to either cancel all orders that were erroneously priced or issue massive refunds if this continues unabated.

Congrats to Bitmain for staying ahead of the curve on the S5. Looks like a great machine. It won't ROI so I'm going to pass right now. But give them kudos for sticking with the home miner market. Very impressive.
