Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the support. The Qubit algorithm has been a big success for many miners allowing great distribution for everybody. Support for GEO is gaining tons of momentum.

As a way to show you guys the geocaching code is real and under development, here a little video geodropping some coins all over the world. No you can't test it yet, yes we are on track to release this in about a month, updates as we get closer to the release.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juyITLxwuXo

Sweet video, can't wait until that goes live!  I can put my geocaching skills to good use  Grin

Hi Folks,

Another Checkcoin deserter here, looks like you guys beat them to it. I was a little hesitant to invest, but now I see that you are actually developing I pulled the trigger. I only invest in product, not just ideas. That's so 2013.

Do you realise that if you pull this off it could be huge? This could cause a crypto hype treasure hunt, the linking pin between crypto and real world use.

Also companies could offer rewards for people coming to their store for example, by having an in store GEO faucet.
Or micro loans could be sent instantly without needing a third party. I don't know if you guys know Kiva? http://www.kiva.org/ basically it's an organization that mediates between the western world and developing countries, where you can give $25 loans to people setting up businesses or needing a little capital to restock their stores, or to buy farming equipment for example.

GEO could change all this by having the website, mobile wallets and a direct GEO < > Fiat exchange capability. A direct connection between fundraisers and the people themselves.

I just bought my GEO and will hold, as I said if you pull this off I am seriously thinking GEO will be a Top 10 coin, at the minimum.

Only 500K coins that is not much!
I regret that I have long held to other GEO currency.
That currency has made me very disappointed and holding 3 % of marketcap I better invested into GeoCoin.

It's best to invest in some solid development rather than promises made without any code backing them.

True, but in 2013/2014 you could invest in ideas that got seriously hyped without even delivering anything, those days are over. With the myriad of shitcoins out there, full of empty promises, people start to realise that without a tangible product an investment is fruitless. That's why I stayed out of investing in alts for some time. I was lurking in this thread since the start and I was interested, but didn't want to invest until I saw some proof that there was actually something being developed. The video was my green light. Of course, it's still highly speculative but that's what we're here for. High risk / high reward, we're like micro venture capitalists. Some do it with lunch money, some with funds that could buy a car, but we're all here because we believe in the product that is crypto. It takes skill to pick the right one, and there are no guarantees, but I've been around the block enough to see that GEO ticks all the right boxes.
