Funny.
that small price drop..just cosmetic.  while BTC went up...
So
If it goes back on 1000$-Geo will drop on 0.00002000 sat Smiley  just cosmetics

peoples selling Geo into BTC into Forints, dollar and euro

You know how on Londons ring, traffic jams occur..

Just one car that breaks to much is enough, and it makes chain reaction back till eventualy cars behind must stop and go again in 10min... and there is no crash or anything to see

Just one smart ass driver breaking to much

So lets ride those BTC waves  Grin

quote from website

Quote
WALLET_ADDRESS can be of any currency we mine or a BTC address.

Does this mean you funtion as a multipool? Lets say I mine on the x11 pool, and add a GEO address... Will I get paid in GEO? Huh

Please explain the blocked IP and the IPs listed in the debug.log file.

Don't forget ! I had 'listen' and 'irc' both set to '0'.

Hippietech appears to be a well known troll and general nuisance on this forum. There are entire threads (made by established individuals of this forum) dedicated to talking about his abusive and/or annoying antics. He appears to have a history of making false accusations, trying to blow small issues out of proportion, and trying to defame people and projects.
Here's one for example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1095023.msg11694131#msg11694131
But, hey, the very fact that a troll of this "caliber" has decided to "bless" us with his useless time should be considered flattering! It appears that very few altcoins draw this amount of attention from this clown.

Anyways, keep up the good work Geocoin devs. A lot of people believe in you and in the future of this project. This thread may not be as long as others but that is in large part because there have been relatively few sock-puppet trolls and shills talking back and forth about nonsense page after page after page after page. Content-wise there is just as much or more than most altcoin threads, and it is a lot easier to find without having to weed through a bunch of junk.

They are the ones blatently abusing the trust system and lying about it, not me. Do you realize that this makes you an accessory to slander/libel after the fact ?

Please explain why you are not concerned about the nefarious IP traffic seen with this coin's client ?

Yes I am the creator and lead developer of GeoCoin, however we also have several other developers who are working on the project as well as a strong community of supporters (big thank you to all our supporters!)

I don't know anything about the IP's listed in your debug.log file. I suspect they might have come from a vulnerability in the original QT wallet. Although no one has had any problems with it, we have developed a new wallet that will be released soon. I sent you this wallet to test if you are uncomfortable with the current one.

cheers

It's okay guys, I accept all criticism and input from the community. If someone has a legitimate criticism we will address it. Sometimes skeptical people just need time and eventually they will understand we are hard working and ethical on top of the fact GEO has huge potential.

Well said Tobler, keep up the great work!  GEO has huge potential, those who are not convinced can move on to thousands of other cryptocoins.  You can't please them all.

Notice how I used the word "appears". I am not making those claims myself, or even claiming their legitimacy. I am not stating those claims as a fact, I am simply stating what appears to me to be the case (opinions cannot be defamatory) because of the claims other people have already made. Sharing already readily available and accessible information is not a crime (as long as I don't try to act like it is fact, which I didn't).

Now, if you think calling somebody a troll or a clown over the internet is slander or libel than I think you may still be living in the dark ages. Besides, in my culture, trolls and clowns are highly respected mythological creatures and professions, respectively, and their titles are meant as a compliment!  Kiss  Wink  Cheesy

Do you realize that falsely accusing me (it appears you stated it as a fact- "this makes you"- when it is not) of being an accessory to slander/libel after the fact could be considered a form of defamation itself?

"defamation is a false and unprivileged statement of fact that is harmful to someone's reputation"
https://www.eff.org/issues/bloggers/legal/liability/defamation

I did not state anything as a fact that was harmful to your reputation, but it appears that you did just state something as a fact that was harmful to my reputation... hmmm..

I am not concerned with the issue you bring up because I trust Tobler (maybe that isn't smart, maybe I will pay for that later, but he is one of the few devs I actually trust). I have been interacting with him and the rest of the dev team in the slack channel for a long time now. I do not believe he would purposely use this coin as a vehicle of harm, I do not believe he had any malicious intent. He has stated that he is in the process of addressing this issue. Additionally, nobody has shown there to be any harm done whatsoever, so what exactly is the crime? You say nefarious IP traffic- which means criminal- so what is the crime? If there is no crime, than it appears that your statement could be considered a false statement of fact that is harmful to Tobler's reputation and the reputation of Geocoin as a whole (i.e. defamation!).

Okay, this was so much fun, but I have you on ignore now and don't plan on ever responding to you again! As a last piece of advice, maybe in the future you ought to put more consideration into the potential repercussions of your own accusations and the wording you choose to employ before you attempt to bring legal threats into the exchange and, in my opinion, end up making yourself appear as an uneducated hypocrite. Cheers!
