Significant changes in the 10k Version 2.0.2 Hard Fork:
I've heard your concerns. It's inflating too fast, we know. I have an idea to slow it down significantly while still giving the huge lottery bonus and keeping the 10k name intact!

Changes to Stake Rate

• Stake rewards start fluctuating at Block 360,000

• There will be ninety blocks at 10% Stake Rate
• Following those will be 10 blocks at 10,000%
• These waves will happen every 50 minutes

Basically, every (almost) hour there is a lottery with 10 winners who win 10,000% stake rate for that block, while the other 90 will be at 10%. The reason I chose 100 block cycles is because being slightly less than 50 minutes will ensure the massive blocks aren't always at x:30 or x:00 and add a bit of variance to when the large blocks will hit


Forums mess up formatting a bit, but the Stake Reward Structure in its entirety is as follows:

I'm guessing about a week, but it will function as normal until then, just to give people, and exchanges, time to update

This change was also brought on by a conversation I had with Richie last week. We talked about theoretical maxes for coins and systems. While I think huge inflation wouldn't be an issue (since they can support DOGE with billions and billions of coins), I agree slowing it down is better for scaling it up. So, essentially, we wanted the same things for different reasons and I think this is a creative, but extremely fun and effective, solution

Yes, nothing changes until then, even if you run the new client. If it affected you on a local, rather than network, level, you would be on your own fork

All previous lotteries were based on prevhash as the seed and in PoW. This is the first 'lottery' I know of that is consistent, reliable, and based on STAKING, not mining. With PoW, I could just turn on my huge farm to conquer all easily predictable superblocks. Staking introduces coinage as an added factor, and at current rates:

The stake weight is too high to be manipulated. At best, any cheaters would get 1, maybe 2 superblocks per cycle, but they would then forfeit the compounding while building enough coinage hoping, not guaranteed, to hit those blocks, making the superblocks not worth it. This system will reward long term holders the most and nerf day-trading stakers the hardest

Seednodes are updated to 2.0.2, and also the new source has them coded in so there is no longer a need for 10k.conf at all
