Oh man, the day the news about the paid dividen happen. The market price will skyrocket like crazy I can't wait to see how amber will reach the moon. the best thing with amber is, these big holders coins will never get into the market and never cause any dumping because if they want out they can sell them back to amber!

Good news indeed. But could some explain to me, why people buy directly from the company over 500.000 amber, while there are almost no trades on the exchanges. I'm also a bit confused with the prices. If I remember it right round 6 was already @21400.

But, somewhere every investor try to get cheap in.... If they were just 1-2 investors that spent >100 BTC for the shares and did not want to bother themselves with the 10BTC on the buy wall, it is understandable. If they were more I think it is strange to have nothing on the exchanges. I personally, would try to buy as much as possible from the market end increase the price that will be good also for my investment. Sure, less guarantee but possibly higher profit (again would be the case just for "small" investors playing with few BTC). Anyway, lets hope the best and see what will happen. Cheers!

It pays out dividends and it looks like it will continue to survive for the next years. Price is really cheap right now, and it would be the perfect time for me to buy more and become a shareholder. By the way, I was thinking if it was possible to stake Ambercoin with my Raspberry Pi 2?

I've tried to compile one on Ubuntu, in fact if I could get it working on Ubuntu I would have ALL the more reason to ditch windows completely. I'm not a coder just a self learning coderesque geek. Love crypto Love Ambercoin. I bought it as a joke/love token to my wife Amber. I was buying all kinds of crypto at the time. I bought Amber-coin and told her look I bought your coin, LOL. Then I did research like I do with all the crypto's I spend money on, and lo and behold Ambercoin is the Diamond in the Rough. My long term investment that pays dividends (patently waiting) in the best currency in the world Bitcoin. I'm sure someone smarter than me has gotten Ambercoin to work on Ubuntu. Please if anyone could post some help that would be great. I've tried this and couldn't get it to work, I'm not that good with ubuntu though. https://github.com/AmberCoinDev/Amber/blob/master/doc/readme-qt.rst

You should be able to drop it into Rasbian wheezy or jessie and be done.

Fun with math... Why 25% pos kicked so much ass. So imagine we are starting off on 1-1-2016 with exactly 100k coins. End of the year staking figures would look like: 2016- 102487.867 2017- 103611.503 2018- 104177.937 2019- 104700.127 2020- 105226.377 2021- 105753.823 2022- 106042.503 2023- 106307.940 2024- 106574.771
100k coins @ 25% for 93 days= 106574.792 9 years of staking in just over 3 months. It was great while it lasted
*figures reflect leap years and pos changes on Feb 3 of each year... and assumes wallet is open 24/7 for staking
