Fun with math... Why 25% pos kicked so much ass. So imagine we are starting off on 1-1-2016 with exactly 100k coins. End of the year staking figures would look like:
2016- 102487.867
2017- 103611.503
2018- 104177.937
2019- 104700.127
2020- 105226.377
2021- 105753.823
2022- 106042.503
2023- 106307.940
2024- 106574.771

100k coins @ 25% for 93 days= 106574.792  9 years of staking in just over 3 months. It was great while it lasted

*figures reflect leap years and pos changes on Feb 3 of each year... and assumes wallet is open 24/7 for staking

Unfortunately your math is true. There were two reasons for holding this coin: dividends and staking. We'll have soon only one that still needs to be confirmed by the dev...Hope the company strategy for future investment and development will show positive results.

a lot of crypto have a small pos

Blackcoin the example only 1% ,bitbay 1% even they never give us dividends

i think we are lucky here, got stake and dividends...even if pos only 2%

Pos reduced to increase the value,.

or if  want looking for big stake coin, like HYP, tek or Ball,..etc ( i forgot) maybe can considered

Meanwhile today Round #6 and Round#7 were sold out!
Current Round is #8 - 250,000 Amber at 21,400sat (0.07$)

Great. Please share the info about the new buyers.

Both of them are offline non-crypto shareholders.

The first one have bought 61,500 Amber for $3376.
  31,400*$0,05=$1,570
+
  30,100*$0,06=$1,806

The second one - 290,572 Amber for $18,140.
  219,900*$0,06=$13,194
+
    70,672*$0,07=$4,946

Dev, I think it would make sense to have for Amber shares only one fixt price by buying from the company: BTC or $. Otherwise, due to the BTC:Dollar fluctuations there is no clear price for it.
Just an example with round 7: To buy it out (250k coins @0.06$) you need 15.000 $ paying in $ that corresponds today to 46.8 BTC (C-Cex rate of 320$). However, paying with BTC you need 52.5 BTC (@21.000 satoshi per coin). This is >10% difference. Theoretically, everybody could buy shares directly from the company in $ and sell them two days later back to it for BTC (corresponding to your buy back policy) making a nice profit.
Could you please also update the shareholders list.

i think stake is advantage for big shareholders but not for small ones. for example if you have 100k ambercoin daily nearly 69 coins you will get as a stake it means 480 per week. even with this price everyweek this shareholder could dump nearly 500 ambers for 0.04btc. and still have same share. and imagine if 10 shareholders do this. prices will always going to be same or down.

As Amber-Trade operates in USD, it is reasonable that AMBER price is fixed in USD.

Sure, depends on the coin and its purpose. I see Amber as a (long term) investment, where people gets also some interest. But, don't understand me wrong, I'm supporting Amber and just sharing my thoughts, what could be attractive for new investors. The business of the company and the huge dividends paid till now is still a GO for this coin!

I certainly wasn't complaining, just stating how great 6 months of 25% was. You can't just give things away lol. The pos is just incentive to keep the chain moving, once mining ends. I wonder if NASDAQ will do a .25 or .5% pos for similar reasons... If they go blockchain. If dividends get paid I'll say nothing but thanks for the extra Amber I stake, even @ 0.25%

I think it was originally 10% for year 1, but dev did a "temporary" bump to 25 for as a bonus to the early investors when we got the last wallet end of may. That's based purely on memory, actual facts may differ slightly lol. They always had diminishing pos by year factored in.

Just for information: Nasdaq says to develop blockchain services in Estonia
http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/11/13/nasdaq-blockchain-estonia-idUSL1N1382S620151113
( little country, ideal testing place ) Lets see what NASDAQ can do with blockchain... big companies are slow. And NASDAQ knows that C-Cex is better and cheaper trade platform than NASDAQ...  Grin

SP500 profit is now something like 5-6%/year, was 7-8-9%? Real-estate buy-hold-rent profit is about 10%. Small loan business profit is about 13...15%. AMBER profit was over 100% from dividends + 25% from POS... Out of mind... Smiley It is unbeliveable profit, and combined with words "crypto" and "coin"... - for first look everything looks like Bonzi and pyramid Smiley Nobody believes it is pure gold, for cents.
I hope with raising AMBER price and new normal POS AmberCoin gets more investors and less people look to AMBER like pump-n-dump "cryptocoin" just for daytraders-freaks, dying after some weeks.
About AMBER marketing: I have noticed NASDAQ and other interested parties never say "crypto" or "coin", these words sound just so bad. They talk always about "blockchain" and "technology". As some people sell today still OneCoin... and some buy for investing purposes..., you can imagine how bad these two words sound. More bad words: "bitcoin", "mining", "cryptoshare(s)", "cryptomoney" - immediate red lights for investors.
Just my thoughts.

I prefer amber keep having investors from outside of the crypto world, right now there is very few coins on the market and its better like that.

Tell your self , these non crypto investors will never dump or sell in the market and at some point rounds price will be way higher and people wont have the choice to buy from the market if they are on a limited budget and want their 10k ambers.

Price will skyrocket its just a question of time.

I've got some questions. Some time ago there was some downfall of the price since the diidends weren't paid.

1) Are the dividends of the 3rd quarter paid?
2) How are the dividends paid? In extra Amber shares, BTC ?
3) WHen will the 4th quarter dividends paid? First week of January?

Thanks for letting me know.

Amber has no reason not to reach 20K + sat 1 week from now.

1-No sell pressure ( since shareholders doesnt sell on the market)
2-Price is at 50% of what the company sell their share right now.

This thing is going to fly
