Basically, the shooting suspect's father seems to have had a major role in creating and maintaining the anti-fraud software used by FICO, which detects fraud on half the credit cards in the world.  Odds are he is familiar with Bitcoin.

Really?  Obviously if more info surfaces, I will delete this.  But they have the same name (minus the Jr./Sr.), same workplace, same job title, a resemblance to both the suspect and the photo of the father.  The one thing I left out was this article, which goes into the family history and mentions a "tradition" of attending York Academy, and which matches the probable graduation year on the Linkedin resume:

I agree with you that it seems very likely he's the father, you should make sure before putting this out there.
If just one person picked up this rumour and posted it somewhere else you will have no control over deleting it.
The fact that it's likely gives it all the more chance to spread.
Rumours mutate quickly so by the time it reaches people that know this guy,
it just needs to say, he's in some way related, to stick.
