' . . . all members who want to vote must have a bitcoin stored on Ccex to qualify your vote . . . '

Hey, Rebelneo! I t h i n k you mean that one votes by paying a sum of Bitcoin: 'Rules: You can vote for adding coin to our exchange here by depositing BTC to it's address.' (C-cex)

Heavy sigh: I am torn between not wanting to seem to be holding things back, and my profound dislike for this practice. I feel that paying for listings drives the speculative-trading agenda.

More opinions, please.

C-Cex has a very bad rep. pls do not pay them, they are scammers. the Cryptopia userbase has gone from 2k users abt 6 months ago to presently ~18k, volume will be on the rise there, i think

It is possible for every account to vote for free in C-Cex, once for any given coin in the voting list; so this is what I did for CBX. I also sent BTC dust, but that didnt seem to move things much.

Just everybody's unique free vote in C-Cex would help...

Looks like we're having endless supply in that sell wall. We're still having a solid wall out there and some crumbs (10's of CBX) before it.

I thought it was Buy Walls that supported the price on an exchange..There is a bigger Buy Wall at 0.00012.

Walls happen, but mean very little to the long term viability of a currency.

Point taken, and it is true that I write quite often about walls it almost seems like an obsession; but I think you understand my point of view about this wall.

Walls happen, but mean very little to the long term viability of a currency.

Actually walls do matter, when they, stubbornly, give a currency the wrong image, even when you have the best of everything. There is no denying the image a cryptocoin project is of significant importance, as it tries to gain a broader audience; gaining a broader recognition is what will ultimately create true value IMO. This is how the US$ gets away with such bad economic treatments: a strong image (for the time being).

I am not a programmer, so I worry about these things. Programmers don't necessarily say much in between stages of development so perhaps I make it seem like CBX is only about trading strategies.

Nothing could be further from the truth, at least mid-term, as we move closer to currency status. Some of our projects are directly aimed at that.

While I talk about walls, in the CBX team others are working on developing and coding to bring creative solutions that will provide actual value to the CBX network (see roadmap, plus a few more projects in too early stages to discuss).

We will keep you updated about the upcoming Online PI Vault project, very soon!

Oh, and this wall will do down, too  Grin Grin Grin Grin

A bunch of alts are already signed up for Bitsquare.

https://www.vericoinforums.com/threads/vericoin-listed-on-bitsquare-io-decentralized-exchange.1274/

Wrote this the other day. Been waiting to post it:

‘Kay, there’s no easy way for Window’s folk to set up Bitsquare yet. Feel free to have a gander here:
https://www.bitsquare.io/docs/#_download_and_install_bitsquare

This is a simpler explanatory video, and in better English:
https://bitsquare.io/blog/category/video/

One of the IMZ guys pointed out that Bitsquare could have sold the abitrators’ positions. If the arbitrator’s fee is 0.1 Btc – as it is in the demo video – then perhaps the CBX community should elbow its way to centre stage. (Bear in mind that crypto-fiat conversion is central to this model: $US, Eur. Yuan.)

The cryptos accepted – again, the list in the video – are sorta looks like roughly the top dozen of CMC plus XPM and (although it’s Num. 72 today on CMC) Faircoin.

I'd prefer if the community here will build a buywall instead of worrying about a sellwall. When a good buywall can stand it's ground it proves that price can go higher, not the other way around. Do you want a range between 0.00015000 and 0.00200000 and no volume at all .... ? For that reason I stand with my previous comment about this although I gotto admit the bonus offer has created some good extra tradevolume.

The merchant API project is of utmost importance to us, as it is a component that will bring CBX closer to being a currency - check your email socks435, I sent you an update.

Trading-wise, incoming bitcoin halving is supposed to take place on 11 Jul 2016; it is very difficult to predict what will happen after that, but we can assume BTC price will rise leading up to that event. This rise may not be exponential because BTC's core usability problems are still unresolved and the astronomical amounts of investor money required to significantly move BTC,  indeed it is fairly easy to say that a selling pressure will be sporadically felt on all cryptos leading up to that date.

BTC's challenges will remain: inflation will still be high even after the halving, even if less so than before, and there might be huge sell walls (worth millions of dollars) from investors who bought from the FBI in the Silk Road aftermath, hacked BTC from exchanges waiting to be cashed in, among others who will want to get out and spend fiat (there is no direct benefit in holding BTC, as opposed to holding CBX which has the PoSP algorithm). Once halving has occured, BTC will still be in an oversupply situation (as real value creating projects are not practical with BTC), so I am not sure BTC will be able to hold on to any big gains in fiat prices.

I suspect that after this halving has occured and if still BTC's convenience issues are unresolved, investors will no longer see opportunity in BTC and will look elsewhere for financial gain. This is usually the aftershock of a BTC rise and fall which has been historically very beneficial to cryptos, including CBX. This very strong upward pressure could be seen even before the actual halving takes place, as investors try to anticipate and time the perfect moment for their exit from BTC.

I have no magic crystal ball, but this is what I see now.
