PSB is a different development team although there has been some collaboration.

Was there an update to the wallet?  I'm running v2.4.3 and I'm stuck on block 142951.  Should I delete everything but the config and wallet?

Vault 2.4.3 is up to date. Looks like your Vault has strayed on a fork, I recommend reloading the CBX blockchain from the bootstrap.

I am not developing the PSB, so no.
I am just helping them when they have questions over the PoSP and CBX to do a correct crypto 2.0.
I am just busy because I have alot of work these days, if any big problem or issues appear the cbx vault will be fix asap.

Nothing new at the moment but as Alex said, we are around should there be any issues. VonSpass is focusing on SPK/Quintessence, which to my understanding is progressing and should have some releases occurring in the near future. I am not in contact with the PSB guys so cannot speak for them.

Hopefully schedules clear a bit and Alex and I can resume some new developments for CBX but at the moment time is a luxury we do not have. If members from the community want to step up in promotion or development, this is welcomed - even highly encouraged.

Happy Holidays to all!

Dude its right there. He told u hes not involved with PSB team and factually has no time to pay attention to what they do and how they carry out transition from cbx to bullshit 2.0. What he does is sort out questions. If u ask me both CBX and its 2.0 successor, both are crap.

3) CBX has the threat of 124000 CBX being dumped on the market looming, because of the Cryptsy fiasco - until this is resolved there is no way we can integrate CBX.

Number 3 , simply make vote on it to burn or not to burn , god knows when that will be solve , it's already lost .

I do not know if this is possible.
Personally thanks to the advice of elambert  I left the majority of my cbx are my wallet.
It should remain me only between 200 and 300 cbx on crypsy.
If I can not retrieve them I prefer they are burnt

Some updates are planned, but I don't know what do you mean by bring back hype ? Maybe a super-fancy-update-of-the-death, I don't know, if community suggest a good update yeah why not.
We planned a cloud staking system for CBX, tools to fix troubleshootings, etc... I don't know if it's hype or not, but it's needed and wanted by our community and actually it's what it cares the most.

Yes we could burn it, but it will lead to less block reward

Yes, good point about block reward but even though its a smaller number, it would still be the same amount with regard to the percentage of the overall supply so really a non-issue.

If we took this path, another option to consider would be to boost the PoSP reward for a set period (1 year for example) so that the CBX removed from circulation are restored via PoSP distribution. So after the 1 year we would be back to where we are now before the burn of stolen funds at which point we could reduce the reward back to the current level.

This would be an interesting solution to the issue of the stolen CBX and would at the same time highlight CBX as people are made aware of the 1 year of higher interest...

Lets continue the discussion here and brainstorm some to create a few options for a new survey to determine a consensus strategy/plan.

Why not invent a way to give back the coins to original stakeholders. I've lost over 20,000 CBX for example.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that BTCat

How would you propose doing this? One would literally have to track through the history of all the coins in the Cryptsy wallet to determine what the last address was prior to shipment into Cryptsy. As all addresses and owners are anonymous, how would one be able to determine which previous addresses were still Cryptsy and which were the last non-Cryptsy ones? It is a very interesting idea though...

I think it's the only way to really repair the damage to the cbx community. A big part of CBX people used cryptsy. I do have screenshots but don't know how others could be traced properly.

I have discussed this with Alex and there is no way to do this without the Cryptsy database. If you can provide that, then we can look into this.

All we can do at this point is try to rectify this situation as best we can with the tools we have at hand. So we either do nothing and let the theft run its course as has been our tact to this point or come up with workable alternatives for the community to come to a consensus.

I am sorry for you loss BTCat

The coins officially belong to the claimants of cryptsy. I don't think it's right to just destroy them even though it represents a relatively small value.

Please vote then, this is an excellent point. Is Cryptsy intending to return them to their rightful owners? This would be critical info...

The rightfull owner will be the one that purchases them through the auction of assets.
Even though the CBX wallet was not stolen from, they are seen as cryptsy assets that are part of the lawsuit. So after they are sold the value will be paid to the cryptsy claimants.
If they are deemed invalid by the CBX network ofcourse they will lose its value.

If people that have lost their CBX balance could be given opportunity to come forward with some proof of balance and that they were involved in trades at that time, we could reclaim and distribute accordingly.

If you speak about 'a more fair currency' then this should be done for the people that lost, to win back the trust of all the members that were involved with cbx in the first 3 years. I think this situation has lost a lot of members that were previously around and we all had trust in CBX to be rock-solid and robuust. We should get rid of the looming shadow somehow, at least I would be motivated again to step up the game again and do some actual work on the web to promote and find more ways to market.

1. Destroy cryptsycoins
2. Create a superblock of same value
3. distribute to people that make a viable claim.

If anything remains they can be used for developments and promotions.

I don't mind if this can be added as an option in the poll.
