Been away for a while, but still got some CBX from the past.
Do I have to swap  the old coins?

No, just update to the latest Vault and sync. Use of the bootstrap or troubleshooting tool from the OP is suggested to minimize sync process.

Also like other coins that use masternodes, it might make sense for a small % of the income they produce to go to the developers.  Creates a nice positive feedback loop, where the coins are locked up (reducing available supply), devs get $ that can be used to implement more features, helping to drive demand for the coin.

Thank you for bringing this up. We had a community vote to discuss the options for funding ongoing development and the decision was made thru voting to create a 10k superblock that would be used for dev operated BPN(s) from which only the interest earnings would be used to fuel development, advertising, etc. This would insure continued development as long as CBX has a value. After the vote we opted to attempt a try at avoiding the superblock idea by trying to gather 10k CBX from community donations. Please see below for details. Note, we gathered 21% of the goal the first night but nothing since. Our group of investors funding the present road-map that will get us to the point of self-sufficiency have verbally committed to donating 5k CBX to this fund so after that occurs we will be to 71% of the target. Almost there!

Quote
One critical piece of the outlined 2017 road-map is to put in place a self funding mechanism for continued development. The current plan is to create a 10k superblock at the time of the hardfork occurring in August/September to be used for a dev operated BPN from which interest earnings would fuel ongoing CBX development, advertising, etc. However, this is not ideal as it could potentially create an issue with exchange listing policies or negative perception/issues for investors. Resultant to this, it has been suggested to create a donation address to gather these funds from the community. In response to this suggestion the below address has been created to accept donations. The goal is 10k CBX. We will report periodically on progress towards the goal.

CBX Donation Address: 5jMKPEvPoHN4UNQEyEh9n84ZPdaQBMzfuZ

Can you run more than one node per computer?
Can you run a node on a Mac?
Thanks

Yes and yes

- thanks very much for the prompt answer, guess I will be buying more!

One more question... will the developer fund "supernode" be essentially BPN * "x" where x is 10k/CBX required for supernode
... ie. just one or several "normal" BPN....  or will it have special rules?

Thanks

Just something that crossed my mind in the past few days: if we implement the superblock we voted for last week, won't we be risking being excluded from Cryptopia for "changing the blockchain"?
Out of Cryptopia, there won't be any "acceptable" exchange for us to trade at.

Cryptopia delists for reversing transactions (editing blockchain history). This is a completely different matter.

why? Huh

Has anyone used walletgenerator.net service?
They support a number of cryptos for creating cold storage paper wallets. I see CryptoBullion is also supported.

https://walletgenerator.net/?currency=CryptoBullion

Perhaps this can be added to the website and the OP here?

Hello
I see that CBX is trying to fight for life, but in my opinion, the value of an asset is also determined by its emission.
You are trying to add to your algorithm a masternode (PPN) system and thus increase the attention of users.
But at the same time, the overall inflation of this coin will become even more than 2% in theory and 6-12% in practice.
So what then is the meaning of such an asset as a means of accumulation?

I think you misreaded, maybe read completly all informations about it to have an idea of the real inflation

I agree with Alex4J. One thing is global/actual inflation. Another one is personal gains. If you average out all outstanding coins "personal gains" (many are currently 0% because they don't stake) you will obtain global inflation: that's the announced 2%.

So you mean that you upgrade your POsP of this coin and the addition of BPN will not change the theoretical inflation rate of 2%?

The values themselves are not yet set on stone, but the BPN should follow the same basic rules as other nodes: more running BPNs, less personal gains per BPN, same inflation. You can read more about the current proposal here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=951753.msg20114595#msg20114595.
