Having worked in the porn industry one of the most difficult things that many sites have issue with is in securing a quality payment processor that does not screw them on the rates. I think that many major porn providers fear the repercussions of adding bitcoin they may face from their payment processors. I think that until the day bitcoin reaches mass adoption you will find porn companies and even many other merchants hesitant to alienate their merchant services providers and the inherent risk in trying a new technology with such limited adoption. As an example most people still need to use services like Coinbase etc to purchase bitcoin which they can then use to pay for porn. Why take the unnecessary step of buying bitcoin to use for porn when you can just pay for porn?

Law is a matter of geography.  It may not be illegal in some places and illegal in other.
In Saudi Arabia, a woman can get in trouble by being alone, or by letting her ankles be seen.
In many other places prostitution is not a crime.


For what its worth, Amnesty International is working to decriminalize voluntary prostitution (so that it is also easier to fight human trafficking).
