I'm not familiar with this.  Is FTP Iron Man a points system? a rakeback system? what is/was it?

It was a rewards program on top of the 27% rakeback we were getting.

Basically you earn 1 point for each dollar of rake paid for each hand you were dealt into, or 7 points for each dollar of tournament rake.

To earn the top tier (Iron) for that month, you had to earn 200 points per day for 25 days, while other tiers could be earned with less play:

The medals bonus you got depended on how many months in a row you earned the status:

Medals could be used to buy cash bonuses or other items in the Iron Man store.  There were also bonus medals if you got over 500, 1000, etc. points in a day.

The details aren't that important, it's just the idea of having something to shoot for by playing almost every day.

Obviously connectivity would need to be super solid before initiating a program like this.

I'm not familiar with this.  Is FTP Iron Man a points system? a rakeback system? what is/was it?

Iron Man rewarded players for getting 50, 100, or 200 points each day for 15, 20, or 25 days in a month, obviously with higher rewards for higher levels of play. The rewards were both freerolls and points ("medals") which could be used to buy tournament tickets or cash bonuses, and they increased for each consecutive month you hit the level.

But with all they gave away with that promo it doesn't even come close to what SWC gives with no promos at all 1/2 the rake of FullTilt, that is 50% RB.

As the rake is so low there is not much more that SwC can give as promos.  It seems making something like FTP IM worthwhile would basically mean replacing RB and krillrolls.

Another difference is with thr IM structure you must play or lose rewards and with the krill structure you never lose your reward level.  I think I know which Micon would prefer.

...will return to the NL200+ mBTC games on SWC once the krillrolls are back and connectivity issues are no more.

... Waiting for the krillrolls though because that's a big part of the VIP program.

... they really should open up their affiliate program to all users

1) totally valid to wait until you observe a long period of stability to return.  No arguments, today's SwC has connection issues.  We are applying a very big fix to this tomorrow.  Wait and see how it goes, I'm confident within a few weeks we will have a reputation of being stable.

2) krillrolls are coming back after stability is achieved.   If we have an unexpected outage, we need to look 1 or 2 hands of each cash game.  If we are running many MTTs, it can be a much different shitstorm for us.  I'm going to bring them back, you have my word, but I must first build a site that achieves proper stability.  The old krillroll schedule was super-player friendly and as many have brought up the fact that it rewarded lifetime play more than recent play.  I'm going to think deeply about them before bringing them back, I want to design a system that is fair to who is currently pounding the site and never forgetting the guys that helped make us and have the big krill.  Also, the krill program will get deeper and more interesting after a few months of client building and stability hardening.

3) Anyone can apply for the affiliate program!  Just email me your username micon@swcpoker.eu and give me your marketing plan (A signature link is a fine plan if I like your account, natmccoy you totally qualify) I insert this step so I can see exactly who is marketing SwC.  I care deeply about this brand and won't have it marketed in an evil way.

i guess u dont like my account lol i asked you be an affiliate and i was only gonna put it in my sig but never got an answer in 2013 or 2015 lol

You guys are really bringing me back re: Ironman rewards from old-FTP.  I remember cashing in medals for shit all the time.

We'll wait until we have sustained connectivity then deepen the krill program and make a more interesting rewards systems.

I like the idea of daily somethings.

I had a Full Tilt black card.  It was metal.

Hey Natmccoy, I have also started twitch streaming my play on SwCPoker.  I didn't realize there was anyone else doing it on a regular basis.  I will definitely tune in for your stream this weekend!  I'm new to twitch, but have had a blast so far.  I play all of the games (mostly draw and mixed games) and have found people to be interested even with my limited number of viewers.  I'll be live today at 9PM EST.  Feel free to stop in, say hello, and request a song or two!  twitch.tv/yepimnaked   I'll refer my viewers to check your stream out this weekend.  Do you have a set time/date yet?

Affiliate program?  Seems interesting.  Not sure if I'm there quite yet, as my reasons for promoting the site are purely selfish.  More players means more action!

Good stuff! I just gave you a follow, nice layout for your channel page. Would have watched yesterday but I had to study for some exams.

Quick suggestion: Add Changetip to your page and a bitcoin donation address, no sense playing on a bitcoin poker site and only accepting paypal donations.

I don't have any times set yet, but hopefully I'm feeling lively enough to keep it going through the afternoon, evening and night. Just picked up a 30-pack so that might help  Wink

Is SWC still down from earlier? I just tried to log in and I could not.

We are having some issues right now, should have it solved in minutes.

Tomorrow the situation improves drastically.

Was the fix implemented? Definitely some issues last night around midnight - 1 a.m.

A bitcoin address should also do fine as thats where donations from bitcoin users can be sent. Paypal option, would almost never get you donations, even if people wanted to, as it takes away the anonymity.

@Micon, I know a lot of people have been bugging you a lot for the html client, but is there an ETA for the same as of now ?

That's a good idea.   Heavy metal poker.   Slayer playing while you try to take other people's money would be great!

Kinda old news now, but still thought it was worth noting in this thread...

Pretty impressive start considering the circumstances.  Honestly happened faster than I would have expected.

Congrats to Micon, Glitch, ST7, and everyone playing, posting in this thread, Twitching etc.

The first million was the toughest... and this is just the beginning.  Bitcoin Poker 2.0 gonna do big things.

For Sheldon Adelson, Preet Bharara, the NGC, and all the others...

So once again I didn't get cards:

Closed and opened table real quick, still no cards:

Next hand, still no cards:

That should definitely not happen. I quickly restarted whole client after that hand and got cards now, but still might have missed some value there..

edit: Fox told me about the refresh button, I forgot about that.. still the client could have some logic "if no hole cards, refresh the damn thing" imo..?

Once i joint a freeroll and suddenly I didn't get the cards, so I tried to close the client, and restarted it, it was working, I got the cards again, but I lost that freeroll, just got 5th, I should have been top 4, lol.

I just find this image, so funny.

Ok another thing. Not bitching just seriously wondering about what you guys (especially Micon) think:

DeepTurbo, I was CO or something, was planning to shove / steal blinds w/ my short stack. And before it's even my turn, the button says "im allin". What to think about that? Is that normally considered allowed? I highly doubt they would be happy at live poker with that? Because of that I actually folded.

It might have saved me chips and I am not on a witch-hunt to get the guy chat-banned at all, but just seriously wondering about the rules of that. He did do it multiple times btw. Perhaps it's just grey area or completely fine, idk. Opinions? Smiley

The client thinks you are too good to have cards.

Anyone ever get any problems when the client first opens? I had some problems yesterday but today it seems much better.

The original SealswithClubs has been here as a poker site since the start since 2011. SWC is just by the same management under a new name .
The old thread is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=40077.new#new
It is probably the most trusted site to deposit and play poker on.

Tried a last-ditch attempt to get to the next krill level before the krillback paid out today. Missed it by 17 krill. But while trying to get those extra two chips worth of rakeback I did make half a coin in play, lol. My priorities might be a little off.

Just got disconnected from hyper turbo. No popup error / reconnecting thing, just message "disconnected" on table. Obviously didn't notice before blinding out. GG. Not really complaining about the stability but especially there should be some auto-reconnecting or popup with info etc.

Yeh too lazy to email for 5 chips though :p but just giving feedback, I know they already know they have stability / dc issues, but hope at least "auto reconnect" or some popup could be made.
