It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

The whole site is down.  Aggravating when you're in the middle of a hand...

Not the site, the network might be the one that is probably down. The site works for me just fine. e
Everyone wants SWC available on more platforms, the more people playing the more money everyone makes.  Yes it's annoying/bad that whoever is currently running SWC doesn't provide timely updates, but don't you think a better idea would be to say "hey it's been _____ months since the last update regarding porting SWC to other platforms, could we please have an update with an updates timeline?"  If they won't answer that, they certainly won't answer you tantruming about being raped by software and you come across as a more rational human.

DarkDays: thanks for the suggestion:

SWCPoker: hey it's been _____ months since the last update regarding porting SWC to other platforms, could we please have an update with an updates timeline?

They should probably just releast online version for everyeone so atleast they can play.

Honest question: what's the difference between "the site" and "the network"?  Because literally everyone got kicked off and when I was able to get back on there were zero active tables.

I meant that network is just the software you were playing on which must have went down. Site is swcpoker.come , which is still online. Either way, yeah a lot of downtimes in the last few days.

Oh, no, the entire site def went down.  Three times today, all for 2-10 minutes.  Not a big deal, support made everything right, they've def stepped their game up recently which is awesome to see.

Hi there!

I am an usual player at your poker room and I might say I enjoy it pretty much.

I wanted to ask for a request. You need to add a time bar for each player when they are in the game. Currently, when I'm playing I can't see the opponents time bar, and that becomes pretty boring. It maight be a bug or something, or it might

So if you add that it will be perfect

Are there any stud or mixed games that run on this site? What stakes? I remember some speculation about shady activity in 2-7 over the summer... did anything ever come of that?

Stud games never run.  12game will occasionally run shorthanded @ 1-2 or 2-4.

There's a knockout that runs daily and tons of SNGs offered.  The only problem is that few people are playing them.

The issue with KO tournaments is it helps promote donkey play (i.e., "I will take this risk because if I happen to win, I get a bounty"). That's how it is on most sites at least. Does the same happen here?

Question...

Many of the other Poker rooms have the monthly table for the tournaments. The winners are awarded montly according to their performance. Do you have monthly tournament championchips as well?

Well, MTTs with a high % of the prize pool allocated for bounties do have a lot looser of play, but a lot of that is supported by basic math.  Also, why do you not want other people to play "like donkeys"?  That's what makes the games good!

But to your question, my experience playing that tournament is that people are slightly loose but it's not anything drastic.  Everyone is still pretty much horrible in other ways.

The nightly 100 chip MTT struggles to get 10 players per night and the weekly seems like it gets in the low-20s every week.  Have you considered trying out some sats that pay out in 100-chip buyin tournament tickets?  There are plenty of spots in the nightly schedule where you can slot in a couple of 10-25 buy in sats.  Gtd at least one tournament ticket and worst case you'll be overlaying 40-50 in a spot where you've been overlaying 100.

Donkeys get lucky too. There's no fun in someone who just goes all-in all the time -- especially when they wipe out an entire table because they got lucky on a hit. Best case scenario is they keep building a chip stack while everyone folds, giving them a strategic advantage.

If you think it's the best case scenario you are admitting it's the best tactic to use in this tourney: then just do it yourself  Wink

It's a high-risk, high-reward scenario for everyone involved. I'm not that big of a risk taker. But yes, I've seen it successfully work many times, as has everyone else. No different than going all-in with AA and being beat by 2/7 OS that hits full house.
