Anything think this company is pushing the price of LTC/BTC to increase sales of this miner?
No idea why the price basically more then tripled in the last month.
It would take many millions to push the price by one company to the point it is at now (probably 10s of millions). They probably invested a fraction of that to develop these chips. under 500k usd on 2 or 3 exchanges would be needed to drive the price to current point.

It's like an air conditioning company polluting to the maximum to increase global warming. Your example is no where close. A miner company could push LTC to make a miner look nicer at start. I doubt anyone is currently doing this as this miner seems to have buyers waiting to buy it. So they would really be wasting money they currently don't need to.

Pretty sure it's taken several million to get us where we are over the last couple weeks. You also have dark pools to consider as well.

Or if you want to dive even deeper into conspiracy they don't have many except prototypes. So they are not mining much only buying up market of LTC. All this in a effort to push price of miner higher. I think we can agree not to put to much faith in the conspiracy's. Anytime there is a thread open and no gear being sold crazy ideas seem to happen.

I do not think they built enough of these to justify pushing the price of LTC with trading..
Risk is very high to do this.

With everyone scrambling to get their hands on scrypt hardware, I wouldn't be surprised to see LTC prices fall back to 2-3$ by the time anyone manages to. You either have the hardware already, or don't bother. Seems like a fool's risk.

Isn't that basically how the Bitcoin mining boom happened in 2014? Price went bonkers the end of 2013 and hashrate / difficulty went bonkers in 2014 as miners raced to strike it big! Not exactly the same, but still the same chasing concept.

Its just been a really long time since new mining LTC rig. I think LTC needed to go up but how high I'm not sure. A lot are buying trying to get in.

Well I think the thing that has changed is that previously it felt like litecoin was closely tied to Bitcoin. This boom isn't tied to Bitcoin trends right now. I think a lot were gunshy from previous loss. If you mined with the A2's a lot lost money overnight. Gear was just dropping in price quicker then you could mine. Some did make ROI but a lot the drop in gear caused miners to hate scrypt. But with this gear seems to be positive miners, and new change in LTC. Which is good I think. LTC will forever be the "silver" to BTC for lack of a better term.

There may actually be more details next month when things supposedly ship. You would think that somebody who is actually buying something would know the price. Maybe they would be willing to say what the price was.

This is on the brink of becoming a farce of sorts. Over a week & a bit into July, whence we were promised details of pricing, and nothing but a deafening silence. In the meantime (coincidentally in the same first week & a bit of July), bitmain has upped the price of its flagship cash-cow twice to an eye-watering $399.
If ever there was a time for the SF100 to hit the shelves (is it actually real ..?) , it has to be now. Unless ofcourse it can not be priced competitively (in which case, just tell us!).

Yes.. Bitmain playin their hand in a market of greed. Mining equipments price should decrease. That would be the norm and honest thing to do not in this market though. Same should be if your product is late to market....time is money. They're all holding back for someone to show their hand.

yeah this is getting out of hand, seems like more and more the days of home mining is dwindling away. companies dont care about timeframes and releasing to the mass market now, they sit on their gear and the big farms contact them to purchase hundreds of thousands of dollars worth
