whats the Price???

Were all waiting on this. There have been rumors but no official quote (I do not believe).  Also it most likely depends also on size or order.

I'm waiting for a few informations regarding the 2 chips boards before I can confirm that it'll be a viable miner that's worth manufacturing.
The design isn't fully fixed yet for the voltage regulator. The first board uses a converter with integrated MOSFETs to save some space on board, but the definitive one may use a standard pair of MOSFETs like the old gridseed pods/blades to reduce cost for the end user.

Waiting patiently....  Cool

I still have a bunch of my gridseed accessories. I look forward to updates J4bberwock. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for a group buy thread.  Cool

The board is an upgrade kit for the gridseed pods.

I wouldn't hold my breath the only way I see this being close to reasonable for home miners is if Litecoin drops super low and they aren't afraid of a price drop from bitmain.

yeah I agree...it will be either stable price of say $4.50 after halving ...ie LTC gained some converts who bought above $4.50 and due to halving now feel safe
to hold such and/or continue to mine LTC as such

or it will dump to 2 bucks and at that point LTC will prove it still is ONLY a speculative coin and bag holders like myself wait till next august 2016 or so for the BTC halving
and hope that LTC speculatively rides the BTC coat tails and then we dump our hoard then Smiley

see always room for 'denial' as  a bag holder of any crypto in question ..its an art Smiley

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

Of course its purely a speculative coin. Noone really uses it for anything outside of speculative trading, hell even BTC is struggling w/ that, in the grand scheme of things.

Please Be Careful!!!!
We only have one official SFARDS Skype account sfardsservice. If there is any other similar account such as sfardsservice [ASIC market] contacting you. Don’t listen to them and please double check the account you have talk with and make sure you add the right one Smiley

I got the price today, and the chance to order. They will only sell high scale,  so that's probably why they do not post prices. Its an deal to deal price depending on order size. Only I can say,  its not cheap and not for homeminers.
I would guess 100+ th farms only.
Clever,  I do not know. Nice product- hell yes. Expensive - wrong site of 1000$ each including shipping.

Final specs and price:

Quote
The miner is 1.72T sha-256, 54M scrypt, 970W power consumption. The price is RMB 8000 Yuan, namely 1290 USD.

Way overpriced for a miner that will produce a total of ~ 100-150USD profit after power cost and litecoin halving. Would take nearly a year to ROI lol. Even at half the price it would barely be worth it.

Yeah I could justify 400 MAYBE 500 max, but 1200$ no thanks Sfards, litecoin doesn't give me enough faith to throw so much more money in a mining machine like this.
I can't rationalize this pricing at all. Why would ANYONE want to purchase this at that pricing ? Major mining farms included.

It doesn't make any sense.

It's kinda a bummer.  I was really hoping for a decent amount less.   I am willing to pay a premium to get the scrypt miner as I want to do it again for fun.  But I have limits in my mind.

It's hard to justify when I see the sha speed and that price.  I really hope it goes lower and 1200 is not it.  But guess we will see.

I could also see it coming out at first with a higher price.   Limited amount makes where you can charge more for those who have to have day one.   So we might see a drop after initial orders.

If I had to guess, I'd say they're trying to recoup as much of the R&D/wafer prices as quickly as possible.  I can't say I blame them, given the un-certain nature of Bitcoin hardware in general, and how quickly companies can go bankrupt due to market conditions and tight cash-flow.  That being said, their pricing should strictly reflect how many units they want to sell, not what other hardware is selling for.  Everyone always mentions price wars with BMT as a possible scenario if priced reasonably for the market, but a price war is a conscientious decision by 2 parties, certainly not an eventuality.  When SP-T and BMT kept dropping prices on their flagship home-miners, it was very likely due to the low coin price and fear that they would end up with excess stock of obsolete miners.  SP-T mentioned that they sold their SP20's at a loss near the end.  That isn't a marketing strategy due to price wars, it's called liquidation.

Anyone can price where they want, and how many units they sell will be directly tied to their asking price. At this price, demand will be very, very low.  Hopefully it works out for Sfards, as I for one want to see them around for the long run.

I have limited free power (noise and heat restraints), and haven't even considered this miner since they unveiled the price.  I'm just looking forward to the GekkoScience projects, and hopefully some good news about the S7.

Definately a must have but not at that price.  At the beginning of the year, maybe but litecoin split emminent price is $200-$300 too high.  Awaiting other contenders unfortunately.

Performance-wise this is like an SP20 plus half of an A2 Terminator, roughly speaking.

You can get a used SP20 for what, under $400 now? And if there were 54 Mhs Scrypt options out there, I wouldn't pay more than around $275. This is with free power and a probably low 3% difficulty.

I'd be somewhat interested for around $650. But not interested at all if the price really is around $1300 (twice what it's worth, from my perspective).
