1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will It Be Jubilation or Devastation? Ethereum ETF Call Imminent on: Today at 06:32:41 PM

since ETH is already approved and the politics is very different when it comes to crypto, i think it's not just ETH that will be on ETF, there will be more altcoins that will soon follow. i read some people already saying there will be SOL ETF as well. there isn't yet any filing but maybe eits true.

besides the price expectation guess this approval will also allow regulators to finally make a clear regulation for the crypto industry by bipartisan support and balance regulatory environment.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Hyperinflation - Will it lead Countries to Adopt Bitcoin? on: Today at 05:28:38 PM
Although true, it's merely a a matter efficiency and incentivization. Those young workers, if they decide not to be "exported" and earn Dollars, would continue to either be non-productive or under-paid. It would be better for them to migrate, be more productive, and remit U.S. Dollar back to their country. I believe that model is already in use by some financially-challenged nations. It helps with the supply of their country's foreign reserves.

That would not help the country and the people left in it though. After all you need a population, specially young generation, to handle different jobs in your own country. If the majority of them are migrating, a lot of things could halt domestically.

It could even lead to more inflation. It's a simple matter of supply and demand.
Take truck drivers for example. If majority of them migrate for a better pay, locally there will be a deficit and the supply chain will be disrupted. The remaining drivers would demand a much higher paycheck to deliver goods like groceries to the grocery stores. So the price of what the end user has to pay for skyrockets too.
We saw something similar to this (supply chain disruption due to lack of truck drivers) in UK after Brexit.

In such a scenario it won't matter how much foreign reserve the government owns...

But it still wouldn't help their country if they stay at home and be unproductive or under-productive. Plus if they don't get paid enough in form of salaries for the labor, then their country probably has too much supply of cheap labor, no? It's better to have those people go through a specialized training program, then be "exported" to a developed nation to become "earners" of U.S. Dollars or Euros that could sent back to their countries.

my country is one example of this. According to the data, our overseas workers contribute cash remittances of up to US$33.5 billion, which is 8.5 percent of the country's GDP.  we travel to every corner of the world, especially in the US. that's why even if USD crashes up, the remittances will still be one of the biggest economic contributors.

Melei may not look like a competent president but he is an economist afaik. if US is adopting BTC, why shouldn't he not do the same?
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Allow Non-investors to discourage you in your Bitcoin journey...? on: Today at 04:45:03 PM
What is the best advice you got from your parents that have always been a tool of reference through your journey in life?.

nothing related to investment. but i agree to not take advice from someone who hasn't done it before.

you have already decided to invest in Bitcoin, it shouldn't discourage you anymore even if they say it's going to go zero in the next bubble pop. the advice you are going to need is how to keep your BTC safe or how to trade as the next steps. don't stray from what you have been aiming for.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH a commodity now? on: Today at 03:10:26 PM

Gensler must have been crying because of this. whether its a commodity or security, it doesn't matter when its ETF is already approved but Gensler will be losing power over ETH and its gonna be in the hands of CFTC.

the scene in politics has changed after Trump did the 180 turn. the people in the government are going to be making crypto the next asset class to go to.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After ETH ETF, now it's time for ETH ATH? on: Today at 02:12:58 PM
it looks obvious already that it will also go up, it will just take time before it will go to its peak.

and there were also speculations that CFTC is going to take over the regulations since, tables are turned which ETH is not gonna be considered security anymore and all other cryptocurrrencies are assumed to be commodities as well.  we're going new heights even the altcoins sooner.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment opportunity in new cryptocurrencies on: Today at 01:55:19 PM

its a spam. i'm not sure if it was suggested in the forum before where accounts with newbie status can insert links in their posts but so some forums it's not allowed. if he really wants to promote that exchange, he can post it in their ANN thread.

OP already created one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5489489.0 but it's not a decorated ANN thread.

if this exchange is related to nasdaq, it will be cool but sadly, seem not.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you been profiting from memecoins? on: May 23, 2024, 06:14:21 PM
I don't make a profit from memecoins because I'm not interested in memecoins. Moreover, I had a bad experience with memecoin investments in the past where I experienced big losses. After that incident, I decided to no longer deal with memecoins and I focused more on investing in altcoins that have profitable potential such as ETH and BNB.
We have quite good number of projects in the space. I've decided to invest in bitcoin and altcoins but when it comes to memecoins, I'm always selective and doing what I think is always right for us. Everyone have their own part of story to tell and I must say this, we should always keep our strategies alive because winnings comes with straight solid tactics and consistency. How we manage to understand the system and deal with our problems, never stop making accomplishment.
Indeed, everyone has a different story. Therefore I have learned from my bad experience when investing in memecoin. Since that incident, I stopped investing in memecoins and focused more on investing in altcoins which have been proven to provide satisfactory profits and have little potential risk.

i stopped as well but i still have those tokens that i think is just less than $50 worth right now even when the token is more than 13M lol just crazy. i will just let them stink in my wallet and leave it there. but if there is a bull run in the coming years and these memecoins will not die, i would still be glad to sell them for profit.

if i can use these memecoins to bet on casinos, i would actually but there is nothing that accepts them.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do we know retail is FOMO-ing into Bitcoin? on: May 23, 2024, 05:59:16 PM

I think the more objective approaches suggested in the thread, such as using Google trends and some other resources. To me, it's important to not just watch the global trend but see what's going on in my own country. So when there's local news about someone starting to accept Bitcoin, and especially if it's not a standalone case but is something multiple parties are doing, that's a good indicator to me. I also think that crypto fear & greed index can be useful to get the overall sentiment, but it's not specific to retail trends.
When we say global, I think it already includes our own country but before others it would be great if we can start on our own, so that we will know if BTC is now accepted if it's not accepted yet or it is now restricted if it's allowed before. The word FOMO does not only mean one individual, so what you said about multiple cases does make sense.

If we are lazy, we can just refer to fear & greed index website, or tool/app because I think they also have it. Even if we say it's not specific to retail, I think that's fine and I think others can also do the same FOMO thing if they see that someone is doing it. Same goes to the retail when they saw others who are fomoing.

fear & greed index website is the easiest to find out. it always tells the truth though since its based on the market. when the prices are way too high when traders only expect the price to be $150,000 and yet the price goes more than $250,000 i think people will really be FOMOing even those that are not in crypto and they may actually reply on twitter threads why they didn't listen to the kid in the neighborhood who told them to buy BTC.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Take Profit in this Bullrun on: May 23, 2024, 05:20:01 PM

if you bought SOL at $5 then you could really be accumulating every time it dips.

the market will obviously be overbought at its piece peaks which you should be selling at it peaks and wait for the market to reset the momentum to buy back to increase your holding. you could take a profit too but definitely not the kind of things you would be thinking when the bull run is yet to come.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $84k the Peak for Bitcoin? on: May 23, 2024, 05:12:54 PM

with BTC being $70k while individuals only have a fraction of BTC will feel not so good still.
the more uncomfortable it could be for someone who only holds altcoins whose money is less than 50% since the last time they bought during the 2021 peak.

once those individuals feels like they are satisfied and have just cashed out a loot, that is probably the time you can say BTC has peaked.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do your parents invest in bitcoin ? on: May 22, 2024, 08:00:14 PM
Are your parents investing in bitcoin ? Has it impacted your journey with crypto ?
Truth be told my parents are very poor in terms of technology and they are very little familiar with internet world. so they didn't know anything about Bitcoin and didn't understand that I asked them for some money and what I would do with that money, I dared to say that I would invest some money in Bitcoin. they laughed. So I didn't try to convince them anymore because I know I won't be able to convince them. my parents don't know about bitcoin don't invest in bitcoin but my kids can say that my parents invest in bitcoin, use bitcoin and know about bitcoin he he he....
Convincing parents in terms of technology today is not an easy thing we can do and it is very unlikely that we will succeed in convincing them about crypto, because they are very comfortable with investing in real assets that they have known for a long time and it would be better for them We don't invite them to this risky investment which makes them anxious when they experience failure in the assets they invest in.
What you did was very good, because you didn't force your parents to invest with high risks if they invested and didn't understand it well and you preferred to focus on your own goals so as not to make mistakes in the investments they made.

even an older brother actually is not easy to make them invest in something they do not understand.

the easiest to do it is to let them buy from you with a huge discount. i tried installing a local wallet on my brother's phone just so he could try it out. but as long as they find it not useful to their life, they will not use the app either. they likely use the weather forecast app rather than using the Bitcoin wallet i installed. just means the old generation is not interested, i guess less stress for them.

12  Economy / Economics / Re: Canada USA UK and maybe Europe best countries now to become rich on: May 22, 2024, 07:14:02 PM
Canada and UK Are best the Canada leader trudeau is young and no life experince he try to be tough guy to rule over Canada but old guys like me can see this guy is newbie and those who smart enough can find easy loopholes of everything.
UK same thing rishi sunak aswell too Young so it makes easy to use the situation for own benefits.
Best times to make money and business are when leaders are either too old or too Young and in biden times a lot mess in USA but same time a lot opportunities.
So in UK and Canada and USA now there is best leaders Because they don't Understood nothing and If you are sharp you use it smart ways the situation in europe it's little bit different there is still strong leaders.
From the sentences that I have highlighted (made bold), there is no direct relationship between how age of a leader will affect the economy of a country. A young leader can make better economic decisions than an old leader, and also the other way too, it sometimes depends on the advisers that they have.
Leaders are always surrounded by advisers, so most decisions are usually not taken on their own. These advisers are in different age groups, and are not always young and inexperienced, or old and uncreative, so even if a country has a very young and inexperienced leader, or an old one, the chances of him making wrong decisions is still low because he has advisers who have more experience in leadership giving him tips on issues that he has no experience on.

true there is no direct relationship between how old or young the leader is that will affect the country's economy but in the case of Biden, it matters. they know it's not Biden running the country since the old man couldn't even make a sentence. let alone debate Trump.

in the case of Europe, they have MICA which will make a crypto holder's life not easy. so it doesn't matter anymore whether they have a strong leader of soft, it's their regulations and the technology to surveillance that will govern.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best altcoins POS with limited supply ? on: May 22, 2024, 06:45:41 PM
Im looking for best altcoins to invest long term limited supply trusted coins and POS proof of stake or different but Im not interested of any POW (no mining )
Im sure not just me here but many others looking same thing.
First in my mind: SOL,TRX,ETH...any others ?
Cardano or ADA is also one with POS mechanism. I can’t tell you if it’s the ‘best’ altcoin out there as you’ll have to decide on that one for yourself. But ADA has a limited supply  of 45 million. I don’t know if you are looking for one with a smaller limited supply but ADA is the one I am most familiar with.

i'm familiar with ADA too. although it's one of the top altcoins out there, the development however is just too slow which is why it's never attractive to many investors who want to quickly make money.

investors are swarming on SOL and most probably because of the recent ETF, ETH will get more investors because of SEC's approval. if an investor has the money, ETH will be the best option.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Canada USA UK and maybe Europe best countries now to become rich on: May 22, 2024, 06:38:21 PM

we are all rats?  Grin
you want a leader to be soft so you have loopholes in the government and if the country has strong leaders, we better move to other countries because there are more ways to become rich there. that's a nice strategy.

believe it or not, all governments are just the same. whichever party the rules, anything that benefits the country will be supported bipartisan. they all milk the citizens that's why we are testing whether it will work if a currency is not controlled by the government.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Over the next months meme coin investors will get most rich on: May 22, 2024, 05:48:22 PM

a separate bull run is funny to think of but it's happening in some cases. i look at the WIF and not even wonder why people invest in some of these dogs after all they get so much attention despite there being already a dog memecoin that already got to the top. these investors have their own crypto world they have their own bull run.  what's  fun about it is that, when the real altcoins season comes, these memes will also ride the bull market.

16  Economy / Economics / Re: What scares me from investing in gold. on: May 22, 2024, 05:31:06 PM
One should never invest in only one asset as it will be too risky for him. for this it is a good plan to invest in multiple assets and it will reduce the investment risk a lot. In this case it is better to invest in various potential things like gold, real estate, bitcoin, agriculture etc. Yes, Bitcoin is a well-known and popular investment asset in the current digital age and it is a must-have investment asset to start with in small amounts.
By having several types of investment, of course this is very good if it can be carried out correctly and is profitable for us, but the most important thing is that we have a good understanding of the investment that we will carry out so that we don't lose the capital we invest, for now we invest in Bitcoin is very popular at the moment and we can start with an amount that suits our abilities. If we can do it consistently, of course this is very good for preparing us for a better future.

the problem with these multiple assets is that when you are just a regular person an extra couple of hundred for the month is not going to be reasonable. people couldn't afford right now, barely even paying rent because of the economy.

i would still suggest investing in a small amount of gold and BTC, these are the only that one may need to survive a depression while its value is going to increase the longer we hold.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your view and your opinion about Ethereum? on: May 22, 2024, 11:35:20 AM
The second most popular cryptocurrency coin is ethereum, Ethereum is ranked #2 in the cryptocurrency market place. Currently many people are investing in Ethereum and they say that investing in Ethereum can be more profitable than Bitcoin, because they say that when Bitcoin is 100k then Ethereum price will reach 10k. In this they can earn more than Bitcoin. Also, some are saying that once Ethereum's SEC charges are over, the price will rise so much that they will be able to profit more than Bitcoin.

What is your view and your opinion about Ethereum? You can share if you want.

If we talk about profits, we also have to talk about capital because the amount of capital has a big impact on the profits we can get. ethereum and bitcoin are 2 very popular coins in cryptocurrency and have very different exchange rates. so in my opinion it is not ethereum that provides many benefits but rather the amount of capital that we can invest.

it's not only capital but some are looking into a very long-term investment for which they can make money by becoming a validator in eth network. this is like free money for them while they are doing nothing but wait.

now that there is ETF, they would be buying up a lot of ETH as well not just Bitcoin.  Once ETH is also going up crazy like Bitcoin has become, i really think the ERC20 tokens are also going up.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: help me choose the best possible ALTCOINS for 2024/2025 on: May 21, 2024, 07:49:47 PM
Bitcoin is flying currently and already hit new ath milestone than 2021. Altcoins also pumpimg but i don't see any major impect yet in altcoins industry yet but hope, altcoins will also increase once the time come. You mentioned some Catageoy Like Ai, Gaming. Actually category doesn't matter, you should rather investigation about a altcoin based on its progress, roadmap and whitepaper, dev team and some matter. But there are some altcoins Solana, Link, Arbitrum, Sui, AXS, egld, theta, fantom, you can check these out for adding in your portfolio
No it isn't mate but we are still on the same correction. I won't say dip because for me, I think the drop is not too much from the ATH that we got last time which are over $70k. BTC is still not the coin the OP wants because the title clearly says altcoins. What major impact you are looking for in alts when you already said that they are pumping?

The time has come once again for the altcoins but they still can perform better once BTC recovers because the bull run will also resume along with that. That's not true when you say that category doesn't matter. What about the pump-&-dump coins and the meme coins? They are a category in cryptos and we know how bad they are.

only a few altcoins are pumping though but ETH is soaring and all they are saying is becuase of the looming ETF. it's almost sure it gets approved because there is already ETH ETF in HongKong.

for someone who is into games, then gaming tokens are for them that's where category matters. but everyone seems to be on board with memecoins though. well almost everyone.
19  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How Oklahoma state authorities are protecting crypto investors on: May 21, 2024, 07:28:22 PM

sounds good news.
there needs to be more estates issuing this kind of bill to make crypto be accepted everywhere. why does it have to be effective in Nov 2024?

it's not banned now and so it's not banned later. they allow the use of crypto wallets custodial or not. but it sounds like there is more to it. it's not said on the page but the government issuing this kind of bill feels too good to be true. probably what the government will regulate are the wallets?  Grin
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy more ETH..... on: May 21, 2024, 07:03:20 PM

It hasn't yet reached the point of overbought so there is still room for ETH growth. buying more today may still give investors higher yields. if you have plans to make money i guess the opportunity is still up for grabs.

speculations of some influencers ETH will hit $8k this year?  and i think if this is true. the rise of its price will also pull the prices of altcoins which triggers altcoins season.
