501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: February 18, 2024, 07:26:56 PM
I don't believe in expert predictions at all in gambling, I'd rather use my strategy than hope for predictions, because I think by gambling there are only two possibilities that will happen between losing and winning, so why ask for help from gambling experts, and predictions are not yet available. of course accurate, except maybe in games that we are less interested in, like football I'm not interested in, maybe I would ask for it but don't do it, that's my view
Same here. I also never trust the prediction from any expert. For me, we can make our own prediction, it should be more trustable. Sure, the result in gambling should be winning or losing. And the chance for the prediction to come true will be almost the same, it will be never accurate. If it is accurate, every gambler will be the rich people. In fact, many people get difficulty to win and be rich with gambling. It is the proof that no prediction in gambling accurate enough.

It's not that I don't believe in expert predictions, especially in sports betting; more like, I make their predictions as references so that I have an idea who might win or not, but I will not rely on that solely because I will make my own predictions by searching for information about the team or players, and in the end, my decision will be the one that will be followed. But sometimes, if the predictions are very detailed and come from experts in sports, I will more likely try to follow them, and so far, I have only suffered a few losses because of that. It's not bad to follow others predictions as long as you also conduct your own searching. Because sports can be predicted based on status and the teams or players previous matches, but of course the final decision will come from you, its up to you if you can take the risk or not.

I follow you with your argument,  as long as you are doing your DYOR and you also understand the game, the chance of winning is possible since you verified the shared picks and you see the edge, though it's not always that the outcome can be accurate but there's possibility as you also do your own study,

keeping  away from paid tipsters should be done and instead better to put some time in understanding and learning how the games works, Whatever types of gambling you are involved what matters is you know and understand how the rules and regulations and the teams and players who are playing.

when you are unsure of your prediction i guess the expert's opinion will matter. there are lots of ipsters on youtube and they include the experts on sports who were once champs. i guess it matters still since they know the sports very well.

i just recently followed an expert who also happens to be once upon a time a champion in the UFC. when he predicted Tuporia would beat Volkanovski, i eagerly listened to why and how and so i bet a relatively good amount for it since he is an underdog.

502  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK SHADY/SCAMMY BEHAVIOUR. WATCH OUT GUYS on: February 18, 2024, 07:18:01 PM
I must say that money is not free and OP should learn a lesson that whoever says that you're going to get free money then there is some kind of shady marketing behind that. I won't say that FJ is a scam casino or it did something wrong because most casinos do that especially when someone avails their bonus.

Not only @OP but all we readers are learning from his experience.  This thread will serve as a "warning" for people who value their privacy and probably avoid playing in FJ since the casino implements a mandatory KYC to be able to withdraw our funds.  At some point, the email sent to @OP is somehow a borderline scam telling @OP that he has free money on his account but does not.  I believe any form of trickery to entice a person to play and deposit money on their platform and give the player a hard time withdrawing their fund is a shady action and is a borderline scam just like the email received by @OP.  Grin  The marketing personnel that create that kind of approach should be reprimanded.

OP, now it's your own choice either to complete your KYC information or to let that $50 of yours sit in their account forever. KYC is in their terms and they can ask for it anytime, but surely the way they force users to do KYC isn't fair.

It looks like @OP won't be doing any kind of KYC,

I would know if they will ask for ID or proof of income, or both, just in case I started the verification process, but again for $50 am not even going to waste my time.

i would probably play the amount with my best strategy in the casino, and grow the money up to $5k if possible before doing the KYC. if all is lost then just get out of the casino for good. just hope for the best to happen.

they are the first casino that asks KYC with an account with so little money on it and if no other casino does this, FJis probably losing the competition in the crypto casino race. they had not advertised much since the time the Stake, etc arrived.

503  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Philippines SEC will Ban Binance. Effectivity End of Feb. 2024 on: February 18, 2024, 07:04:00 PM

Any recommendation?

504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) on: February 18, 2024, 06:40:26 PM
Doge was a memecoin during it launched. But after elon musk joined with doge community, then things become changed. As we know that Meme coins are created for temporary hype, not good for long hold cause they aren't stay long but it seems the concept of memecoin is changed, especially for doge coin which is a memecoom but reacts like potential altcoins. So i I'm guessing doge will bring good opportunity as well as its good Future is awaiting ahead

seem to haave taken so long though. major altcoins have already lifted their fingers at least to show the world they are still alive. doge is dormant. it may move a bit but every time BTC also dips the price of doge is more affected. i think i'm already regretting why i still hold this coin.

elon musk is compromised after that. when he goes into doge and tries to make it known to the people the government steps in. and he cowardly backs away when the men in black threaten him they will take away all his assets if he promotes doge again.

i think doge is just one of the coin that will not rise in this bull run and will resume in the next bull run.
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is investing in altcoin futures a good idea? on: February 18, 2024, 06:07:59 PM
Well, my goal was to make some money with the futures, and then I could invest in Btc or Eth and wait

we all have that goal. but do you have the advantage of trying altcoin futures?  while i have seen someone do this already on one altcoin, it would be good to do it if you are sure where the price of the coin is going. probably just seeing a new article that is coming to be published and you are about to position for its futures market in a few minutes.

if you don't have this information, it's risky. BTC is already risky all the more on altcoin futures.
506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Buying and Selling of Casino Accounts (Discussion thread) on: February 17, 2024, 07:48:30 PM
what do they do to the accounts they buy other than playing games and betting on sports?
If the account is KYCed i think many will be interested to buy in protecting his privacy and this is for the high rollers too. otherwise, just register and play, those casinos don't ask for IDs from someone with just $100 in their account.

and for a user who also submitted his IDs yet sold his account,  you are in big trouble if the user who bought your account does illegal activities like laundering.
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Trajectory Of Crypto Based Payment Systems Thus Far. on: February 17, 2024, 06:16:39 PM
good news, it looks like mass adoption is starting to happen, but I doubt the main purpose of crypto as a means of everyday payment.
because this is more of an investment and people put their money there to make a profit.

I agree that people buy cryptocurrency for investment, but do not forget that many people buy and store savings in stablecoins instead of fiat currencies, so the opportunity to pay with stablecoins will be very useful.
Yes, maybe for regular payment transactions using stablecoins it could make sense. and what if you use something else if when the price goes down it could have a bad impact on the company that receives the payment and vice versa if when the price goes up the company makes a profit. So the conclusion is that Crypto is for investment

stablecoin is more appropriate for paying since merchants will prefer it to tokens because they know the value could change at any minute. even in the bull market, those who are trying to make money outside crypto market are going to prefer stablecoins. the issue they could only see is the transaction fee as sometimes it could be way above what they expect.

i tried looking into the $IVPAY, coingecko page has a warning about the project that migrated to another contract address. most projects i know that migrated its token to a new contract died. i could be wrong but this is what happened to them.
508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stick to some Casinos or do you try out new ones? on: February 17, 2024, 04:04:52 PM
I was discussing with a friend yesterday about the choice of Casinos and the great incentives that comes with trying out these new legitimate platforms. He told me bluntly that he doesn't try out new platforms because  it will make him gamble more and will waste his time trying to understand their UI, terms and conditions and their support system. He stressed that he has already developed fondness with a few sites that treats him fine and he even has their support hot lines in case of any issues.
I challenged him that there were exciting offers in these new casinos that he's missing out on but he stressed that he was not interested in their offers, he has already built his gambling life around these few casinos and until they disappoint him, he's sold out to them.

what do you think?. Do you believe he is right with the rigid approach to gambling?,  also should I continue convincing him  to try out something new and enjoy these great offers?.
Once a gambler is used to a site it will be very difficult to get him back from that site. Because everyone has something they like. The site that the gambler is used to gambling on will be most appealing to him. Many gamblers like to limit their gambling to a few sites. Again many gamblers give priority to bonuses and other offers. In gambling a gambler must have the freedom to do what he thinks best or what seems profitable to him. I think if a gambler is comfortable with a particular gambling site then I wouldn't tell him to leave it but he needs to know some advice. Gambling sites often offer a variety of opportunists if gamblers take the opportunity it will not harm the gambler.

a gambler who won big in a particular casino might just stick to it for a long time. he may preserve a loyalty to that casino as i have also been in one casino where i won once with so little capital. the casino reminds me all the time and gives me hope whenever i go login again.

and when the casino is popular where people recommend all the time. i have been in other forum forums not related to crypto but whenever there is a casino discussion, i sometimes mention the casino. trying out something new is an option of course but there is just more attention to where the gambler is loyal.
509  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK SHADY/SCAMMY BEHAVIOUR. WATCH OUT GUYS on: February 16, 2024, 07:48:35 PM

they haven't really scammed money yet but just require users to submit KYC. they did it in the trickiest way though which i could understand the outrage. but somehow one would believe this is quite a behavior that will leave a bad taste, especially with that source of funds.

this is a reputable casino though so it's insane. this thread specifically might just affect the marketing of FJ and everybody will indeed watch out not just the FJ.
510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Escape Debt with Gambling: A Dangerous Cycle on: February 16, 2024, 07:06:27 PM

if you pay his account and lose, you will be blamed by your friend for losing the money. and he may just drag you to the loansharks being your fault. it is in his interest to escape from the loansharks and he may find you part of his escape plan.

while you can help him by just giving him the right advice, just leave the account alone. always be ahead of what the other guy is thinking. while gambling the money meant to pay debt, loanshark learning about you gamble the money will make them furious.

512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 15, 2024, 07:06:17 PM
I like the odds on a 4-game parlay today.

Bostons Celtics to beat the Brooklyn Nets
New Orleans Pelicans to beat the Washington Wizards
Dallas Mavericks to beat the San Antonio Spurs
Phoenix Suns to beat the Detroit Pistons

All of those games should be easy wins. It would take a pretty big upset to lose this parlay, but nothing is set in stone.

You got a win on that parlay. What was the total odds of that 4 legged parlay if you don't mind me asking? Everything was easy except for the NO Pelicans bet since Wizards are staying in the game and the Pelicans could not dominate them as they only win by 7 points, didn't even cover the point spread.

I guess I would love to tail with your pick, do you have a new one for tomorrow?

The odds weren’t great but it was more than a double. I believe that makes 2 or 3 parlay wins in a row for me now. Arguably I just go for the mismatches because it’s fun to win. Tonight I’ll be going with the Bucks to beat the Grizzlies and the Timberwolves to beat the Trail Blazers. Odds on those games aren’t great either.

you will miss the chance. while you are already risking, you just have to give it all. hope for the best. i was about to try out 2 of your bets and then 2 more on football and 2 more on cricket games to parlay them all. just taking all that is suggested in the threads.  because 2 is just not very fun.

parlays are where you bet an amount you can afford to lose but are also worth 5x the when you hit.

513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which psychological stage of the crypto market are we in? on: February 15, 2024, 06:42:24 PM

why does it always mean a downtrend when they say The Correction Stage?  can't it mean that the market is correcting the real value of BTC which is $100K?

but i think yes we are already in a bull market stage without halving yet.
i think in the halving day, the price will also shoot way higher and i often heard to term supercycle back in 2021, i think we are in it already. a bull market without halving is a supercycle.  Grin
514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2 years old kids alone at home for hours, while the father goes gambling on: February 14, 2024, 06:52:15 PM
Apart from gambling discussion, I will like to advice people not to ever entrust their child to any family members, even if they are your blood brothers, you will be shocked, there are many secrets that have been revealed about relatives maltreating their relatives child, many abuses and irresponsible.

If you are still alive, you need to watch over them yourself, don't ever leave them behind to a trusted family member, even those who have no bad habits in them will still maltreat your child because it's not real their own child, may we live longer to watch over our own kids by ourselves.

This man that OP is talking about cares about gambling than a living soul, he has no conscience, I would have thought about the kid, thinking if he or she is mine, and kids are really stupid at that age, we can't blame them because they know nothing, home accidents are very common concerning children, they should not be left alone.

this is very true. this is where you will know who secretly hates you because even the family member will hurt your son/daughter. you best be the one who takes care of your kids and you can be assured you pass them the things you know.  if it's your daughter, she is way vulnerable, she could be raped by an uncle. it happens all the time and sometimes to a person you trust more.

if you are going to a casino and hired a nanny, the nanny cam is a must-have cause you just don't know if relatives can hurt your son, all the more if you entrust them to someone else.
515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why in some religion gambling is forbidden? on: February 14, 2024, 06:17:00 PM
Gambling is forbidden because you are not getting paid for your work. Collecting interest is forbidden because of the same reason. Basically any income without having to work is forbidden because the author (the prophet) thinks "easy come, easy go" and he is kind of right. There was no stock market back in the day. We can't expect him to understand the basic finance stuff like the p/e ratio, market value, book value etc... None of these existed in the past. People were paying and getting paid in gold and gold is timeless so collecting interest on gold was too much to ask... It was a major offense.

The author didn't know that we were going to have central banks and print money continuously... The money would lose its value over time so interest would become mandatory... Everything was simpler back in the day. Now it is all crazy.

Aah.. Good ol' times. I wish were still riding camels. I wonder how fun was that.

god didn't see it coming.  even if he sends flood again and starts new, people will find another innovation of finance to take away money from someone in mid-day.
i remember a story about an African country where their currency was glass beads. when Europeans came, they flooded the country with their counterfeit glass beads lol

anyway, if only god knew humans are born gamblers, it would have been in his 10 commandments. people only look at the 10 commandments as the law, since gambling is not mentioned there, i guess people assumed it was not prohibited.
516  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Philippines SEC will Ban Binance. Effectivity End of Feb. 2024 on: February 14, 2024, 03:12:04 PM

517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make use of what you disliked because you can't stay away from it. on: February 13, 2024, 05:31:55 PM

you are done withdrawing your funds and you can leave and never return to the casino if all you want is to not gamble anymore.
if you are worried that you may not be able to stop yourself from playing, the first thing you need to do is never deposit coins in your account. i don't even get why you need to email them to block the account for you.

we are all users of crypto casinos, we may have an account in every casino and it's good to have the freedom to go from one to another. i go from sportsbet to rollbit freely whenever i feel like going there.
518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can a betting shop be so dubious like this on: February 13, 2024, 04:45:45 PM

would it be different if the man hadn't requested to convert the local currency to USD?  because i think the attendant would have given him the entire amount if it was just Naira. things like this won't happen when the economy is not so bad.

and he was too trusting of Adetola, she must be a sexy lady that he fancied so much that he wanted to go back the next days. only to find out, that this lady is the one scamming him. is it even true that the boss went abroad?
519  Economy / Economics / Re: "Shrinkflation" is coming back as a narrative on: February 12, 2024, 08:37:24 PM

shrinkflation has been happening for some time, it's only this time that a president is actually talking about it and it's not about explaining why. it's trying to blame. does he want chaos to happen there?

the old man doesn't even realize he is the president but can complete a lie talking about shrinkflation to blame the businesses. it is like inviting people to loot the companies that's the narrative. he didn't mention the black national anthem? they must know this is going to happen, no wonder they need police security in the Superbowl in the state where they want police defund.

520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most challenges faced by gamblers on online casino platforms? on: February 12, 2024, 06:38:16 PM
i don't think those issues are rampant. maybe the delayed account verification is an issue and i guess the casino is going to verify the documents but i'm not sure how they are going to do it. other than checking whether the documents you scanned are real or modified.

  • not winning

not winning is probably the most challenging faced by gamblers.  Grin i experienced it myself that i have not withdrawn anything but all i did were deposits for the whole week.
