541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers trickily claims they wins the bet while they never did. on: January 17, 2024, 06:19:03 PM

But as I noticed, gambling winners usually never say publicly that they win, they prefer to keep it silent which is why it was unbelievable to someone who claim that they win as it is possibly a big lie.

Maybe the purpose of such exposure is to grab attention and give motivation to the other gamblers to gamble more, a sort of mind manipulation. A strategy that is usually practiced by some sites hiring influential individuals to show their (fake winnings).

I feel that the gambler who is making others believe that he won some money while he didn't may be doing that to take away shame from himself for not winning his betting for sometime because really it is shameful that you are gambling and you are not winning so you can be forced to pretend you have won in the presence of your friends but while you are still hoping to win, so this could be a reason.

Another reason could be to show off that you are a consistent winning and always cashing out making people to believe your prediction. This is the strategy that those who sell predictions use. They paste on their social media handles games that they didn't bet as if they bet and won it just to attract people to subscribe to their gambling channel.
I honestly do not know about others, but for me, there is absolutely nothing shameful in losing a bet consistently, as long as money being lost is not one that is significant, this is why it's very important for us to always stake only what we can afford to lose.

In the part of the world where I live, pretending to win a bet when you have not won anything could mean incurring more expenses for yourself, because as a matter of fact, guys must hold you and will request that you give them their own share of your winning, you don't have to give them money actually, but you will be required to buy bottles of drinks, plates of pepper soup (depending on how much you claim you won), and this is completely normal because when next someone else in the circle wins, he or she will also celebrate the winning in the same manner.

So, over here, claiming to have won a bet when you really have won nothing can be a very big mistake, and could cost to alot of money if you are not careful.

in the boxing and ufc threads, users are sharing their bet picks. i don't see them embarrassed, they just pick the wrong fighter and their analysis but most probably just unlucky to have listened to someone else pick.  nothing is wrong in losing, we all lose and they are not the only ones to have chosen the underdog. i lose many times but lying that you won is like losing twice. you know to yourself it's not true.
542  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto investment vs real estate investment : Which one more dependable? on: January 17, 2024, 05:52:02 PM

its not easy to rent out a house or room these days though. when the economy is as bad as these days, the real estate business can be a problem. more people with no jobs couldn't afford to pay rent and some of them prefer to just live on the streets with tents.

buying strategic locations in the city though might be a good idea for the next business. properties today are cheaper than pre-pandemic. still will need a long wait for you when there is crypto bull market coming.
543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 17th FEBRUARY 2024 on: January 17, 2024, 05:41:23 PM

think the fight will not actually happen?
i think so too. the date is so close already yet nothing is being hyped online. the fight will be held in Saudi, this is a place where people are giving away gold bars. the richest country in this region, it can't flop this way for it would only mean, they are pretty much interested in Frank Ngannou than Fury and Usyk.

if they want to make this event noisier, my suggestion is to put AJ vs Ngannou on the co-main event.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the possibility of discovering a memecoin that could change your life? on: January 17, 2024, 04:33:46 PM

you may actually have discovered it and missed the flight.

SHIB and DOGE had their chance in the last bull market. i think they will not be the main dish in 2024 bull market. but some meme else. it could be something new, BONK took its steps last year and this BONK could also fly again as the highlight meme of this bull market. i wanna see something new that is not from SOL or ETH.
545  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: January 16, 2024, 07:18:25 PM
i have not seen a nerd gambling, to be honest. but i would probably a watching the nerds if they start gambling, i would be asking what mathematical formula they figured to win.

i'm sure the crypto casinos are marketing to target Bitcoin users that's why they are here in the forum. or if they are targeting a certain country, i think India would be the first since they are the ones with a huge population of crypto users, and Nigeria too.

if i wanna market a crypto casino. i would be targeting the boxing fans on facebook, they are the wildest when their favorite boxers go inside the ring.
546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Good sportsbetting content on: January 16, 2024, 04:13:21 PM

what about you share with us some tips or sort of a crash course in arbitrage sports betting?

i read your thread about it. i can't remember where to start if i have to remember what it's all about but there are many of those people who tried arbitrage betting profiting so much.
547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: January 15, 2024, 08:38:18 PM
i have been in the same situation when cashing out would have been the best option but because i waited i ended up losing. the next time i will be in the same situation i think i will really be cashing out. winning $31M while staking just $3k, is a huge amount to let it pass your hand. i would even cashout even if it is just $10M.

update us on what you have decided. congrats in advance also.
548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drug (cocaine) addicts compromises gambling potentials on: January 15, 2024, 08:03:54 PM
I think drugs compromise most of the activities in life. Now maybe some people know how to use it properly in terms of dosages and they never exaggerate, but this is rather the exception than the rule. As you said the topic is drug addicts, which implies that someone lost control over using a certain substance. But in contrast to things like caffeine, cocaine really compromises your thought processes and your decision making processes without a doubt. I'd be surprised if someone calls himself a better gambler because of cocaine usage. There might be circumstances where people could theoretically use it to improve their sharp thinking temporarily, but a well trained and healthily nurtured mind should be sharper than a brain of an addict pumped with cocaine.

not cocaine in my opinion.
for many years i have been with many drug users, the methheads are usually the ones that take the drugs of use. until they abuse it. some of them work at night and taking meth keeps them up all night. and for critical thinking, they claimed that meth helps them in making good decisions. i play chess with those guys for many nights, they often checkmate me.

as for the cocaine man with the laundry business, he could have used his business to make more money than losing into gambling and drug addiction in one.
549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Times 03/Jan/2009 - High quality image? on: January 15, 2024, 07:33:16 PM
i think this https://talkimg.com/images/2024/01/15/3fefd.png is already enough and the news headline looks very recent. it says " Israel prepares to send tanks and troops into Gaza"
dang! looks very coincidental.

i also wanted to print this image. maybe it's going to spark conversation when people see the poster right in front of our store.
just a question: is Bitcoin mentioned in the article and who paid for the publication?
550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making too many picks reduces chances of winning. on: January 15, 2024, 04:34:54 PM
i would be taking the sport seriously if i like the sports but if its just something like soccer or cricket where there are plenty of events, just keep betting.

just pick a few if you want but for some of us, we chose a lot of picks in a few hours and then chose again after all of them were over.  i think around 3-5 at a time will be good to see whether you have profited. just spend a few dollars each and then wait and then roll the balance again for another 5 bets.
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to farm airdrops on crypto? on: January 14, 2024, 08:20:33 PM
Some project developers encourage airdrop participants to stake their tokens in order to earn more. That is why they manipulate people and the question is if they are really on aid to fulfill their promise or just to prevent the sudden collapse of the project knowing most scenarios before that when airdrop coins have been released, the drops came next.

And this is not wonder why many people just ignore them because the results are absolutely the same, they'll turn into scams in the end. Because even if the project looks promising but if there is no use case, it still fails.

staking is somewhat the new requirement now. a few years ago, those airdrops were unannounced, they are just surprising people and making people regret why they didn't make a transaction on UNISWAP but now they are trying to make people invest first and you have to claim as well which iff you miss claiming then its lost.

$DUST token will be doing airdrop but seems too long that i've never heard of any update but they are going to distribute to users who are staking ADA.
552  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education and why it should be a priority. on: January 14, 2024, 07:37:57 PM
you can imagine how many people right now would have been trading in STOCKS/FOREX as a means to provide for their family if skills like that were being taught in school. only a few people would have been working for the rich and manufacturing products would be slower.

On the darker side, why would the governments and banks want people to learn financial literacy? when people figure out how money works, they will create money of their own and they indeed create one such as BTC.
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin hidden gems. on: January 14, 2024, 06:51:45 PM
TON is a hope for me and many project ecosystems that have just been born from this big project, may not yet show any significance at this time. I feel like the bull season will come quickly, the promotion of new projects from the TON ecosystem such as tontogether is currently in process where people who participate in staking tokens up can get a tontogether coin allocation later in February and other projects such as TIA, COSMOS, ETHEREUM, BRC20 are being hyped

TON is amazing. we heard of its development years ago and no news comes out about it and then suddenly one token just emerges out of the blue on the CMC and outranks the best ones. right now there are already tokens using its blockchain. TON is big because we know millions and millions of people are using telegram and i they declare this token should be held by everyone in order to chat, it will have the highest demand.
554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land-based Casino Enjoyers are something else. on: January 14, 2024, 06:41:19 PM
if she has that Urinary incontinence she shouldn't be in places like this casino. whatever that condition is but its too impossible not to notice you are already urinating.

she could be just too lazy to go to the toilet. maybe there is someone in the toilet room that she's avoiding.

the comfort room in the casino is too crowded, people go there just to sit and chat for hours. some people even sleep in the cubicle, wake up, and play again.
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins are likely to go up when BTC goes down? on: January 14, 2024, 06:14:54 PM

not sure what you mean by stablecoin being depegged. they seem to be okay, especially the USDC and USDT, you could just be too anxious. but the value of USD could drop because of inflation so prices of stuff will surge. keeping your money in stablecoin is still best.

but it would be cool to see altcoins can be used to hedge when BTC is correcting. when you find one, you will be worried too if there is enough volume when you sell it. if you find ETH growing when BTC falls then it could be a good option.
556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any chances of success? on: January 14, 2024, 05:20:51 PM
A day before, I read a post of Vitalik Buterin and one of the point he mentioned was your portfolio needs to be boring. And you've got one of the boring portfolio which could be one of the best choice when the bull actually arrives. Everyone of us are expecting the ultimate bull that would break the record of last all time high of most coins. The question is not will as this would arrive for sure but when.
You have a combination of established coins which are much safer bets for long term. If your coin doesn't (nearly) die before the next bull, you could buy an apartment. In your case these are tested coins that won't easily die.

everybody's portfolio will be green by the time the bull market arrives since even the meme tokens you never heard of may also go parabolic as more newbie investors are buying them like it's the best investment. the new investors in crypto are hyped by just hearing the word blockchain in their pitch.

XLM looks behind in the race but eventually, it will catch up during the bull market. but OP seems to have overly diversified his portfolio.
557  Economy / Economics / Re: Useful side hustles to sponsor a BTC investment dream. on: January 13, 2024, 07:07:51 PM

wow earning $200 for reviewing songs? i can do this all day. but likely not true. i'd be surprised by the qualifications to be part of this job position. even the VA doesn't earn $150/day, i could be wrong but i worked as VA for someone to chat with his clients in case they needed support.  i would have been the richest if they paid $150 a day.

the easiest is watching ads and we can earn $100/day. but this i wouldn't believe to be possible. who would pay you to watch ads and earn such an amount? if this is possible the rest of the homeless in the city will be housed already, it doesn't make sense.
558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to collect altcoins now or later? on: January 13, 2024, 06:12:30 PM
~~~
I think there was more than enough time to buy altcoins; the market was not in the best condition for more than six months for a long time.It was a great time to form your own portfolio
obviously Valid coin holders or early investors of Potential coins, are taking extra advantage for current market. Although crypto industry is in correction mode now but earlier investors are still in profit. even that was also the best time to purchase altcoins when op was inquiring cause that time prices were also low. But the fact is, everyone can't afford to invest in earlier. That isn't their fault, and so is for op. But crypto industry is full of opportunities, and many are expecting more correction will happep soon for halving effect. So that time will be also good to purchase altcoins with low price
there are still lots of altcoins with a very cheap price and they are even above the rank in CMC, only few altcoins are experiencing rapid growth in terms of price so there are opportunities for crypto investors. the only issue we can see is that there is no assurance when they will pumped. for the time being, only BTC is going up and down, the majority of the altcoin's price in satoshis didn't move high.
the one i think we still need to wait still is the bounce of BTC price after this correction. the impatient investor will sell but if you can hold til halving, its going to be fun to see prices surge.
559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Master node Experience - worth it? on: January 13, 2024, 04:15:13 PM
there was a time when masternode was attractive to investors, it made the network centralized though. the old tokens using DPOS are still alive up to this day such as Decred although we rarely hear of their updates anymore, i have not seen the thread float again but back in 2016, they were all very much active. the investment you need is way bigger since its part of the requirements to set up masternode. this is replaced by Staking now and there is no need of huge investment too.
560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF approved, next Ethereum ETF? on: January 13, 2024, 03:57:12 PM
As we all know, the Bitcoin ETF is already approved. So, do you think the next ETF for Ethereum will be approved as well? Many companies, including BlackRock, have filled the Ethereum ETF as well. I believe the line is already clear to approve the Ethereum ETF since the SEC gave green light to the Bitcoin ETF. We have noticed significant price movements on Ethereum since Bitcoin EFT was approved. I don't see any reason not to approve the Ethereum ETF as well. The deadline is May for the Ethereum ETF. We have to wait for that. What's your thoughts about Ethereum ETF?
only time will tell if Ethereum ETFs will also be approved or not. I think the response to Bitcoin ETFs will also play a key role in making this decision. they'll see if Bitcoin ETFs are successful or not.
Also those companies got ETF how well they manage these ETFS and what will be their effect in mainstream market as well as cryptocurrency market will play an important role too.
There's a good chance of an Ethereum ETF, but I think it'll be a slippery slope: from the ICO frauds of the past, Ethereum Foundation/Consensys dumping ETH pretty much every few months, etc.
The market seems to be expecting an Ethereum ETF though; but you know what's hilarious? If Litecoin gets an ETF instead of Ethereum lmao.
hahah. a Litecoin ETF would be fun. but I don't think these big companies are interested in that. otherwise they would've submitted aplications for Litecoin ETFs too. don't you think?
maybe with time every famoust Altcoin will have a ETF. how does that sounds?
Bloomberg analysts say there is a chance that ETH ETF approved in May 2024. just like what they did to BTC ETF approval, they may also approve it during a time when the ETH market is already about to dump and the market couldn't sustain. eventually, a plunge in the prices will make naysayers i told you so ETF is a bad idea.
when they do it on famous altcoins, it means they are about to control the market of that altcoin.
