381  Other / Off-topic / Re: specialty or "Jack of all trade? on: March 09, 2024, 04:57:12 PM
are you guys familiar with the saying that goes “jack of all trade, master of none”? because if that is the case then i would not want that i would choose being the best at one thing instead of being average with a lot of things i mean yes it would be advantageous and you would have a wider range of job opportunities but i would like to excel at something and be recognized to be the best in that field

that's exactly what i want lol jack of all trades, master of none.
this is the only option ffor someone who wasn't allowed to take a degree of their wants or is simply just undecided in what to do with their life at age 21  Grin

you know when you grow up in a poor family where you are forced to fix things on your own when something gets broken, you end up becoming a jack of all trades. and then you are just known in the neighborhood to have fixed plumbing and electrical problems in the house.  if you end up learning how to trade in forex because of the necessity to make money, you have a pack of skills.
382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake loses $615k bet on Joshua-Ngannou bout on: March 09, 2024, 04:31:29 PM

so much for trusting Ngaannou to deliver. i am disappointed too since i was betting for Franc to win. but $615k is just a huge amount of money. i wouldn't want to replay to watch again because it hurts. i and banking for Francis to make it in boxing and be a champ.  it would be a good story of his life. anyway, hope he will fight again.

at least thinking about Drake's loss compared to mine makes me think i'm not the worst gambler.
383  Economy / Economics / Re: Banking on people's ideas, visions, and talents. on: March 09, 2024, 04:25:35 PM

some people are brilliant and can materialize ideas because he has the money to pour on this idea. some just have the ideas but have no means to support this idea.
everyone has ideas. regardless of how small these ideas are, they only need a bit of funding from someone to make things happen and the opportunity to make money can then be easy.

entrepreneurs are often inventors but if he has no one to fund his product, he will have no opportunity. ideas are always there, its the money that is needed.
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why not try out a less popular but promising token? on: March 08, 2024, 08:28:35 PM

the good thing that might happen in diving into the new token is that you become an early investor and the possibility of getting millions is what you hope for.

but there are lots to consider when you want to invest in a new token. scam is just one that you have mentioned but whatever makes sense to you will end up in your portfolio and if that doesn't yield ROI for you then it's a liability which is not good for business.
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 08, 2024, 08:21:00 PM
Definitely, it will hurt his career. I don't know why Joshua would pick up a fight with Francis after seeing how he dealt with Fury's face. I really don't like this move because it will be another match loss for Joshua, who wants his boxing career to be resurrected back to the boxing field after losing his world heavyweight title to Usyk twice(2021 and 2022).

Anyway, another man's downfall is a rise to the other. This is a win match for Francis against Joshual in my own opinion and it will help Francis's career in boxing since he left UFC for boxing.
In my own estimation, Francis is going to win. Looking at him and what he has done. For Joshua he looks like a shadow of himself. These two are my favorite African fighters and I know it really has nothing to do with boxing other than more money for both fighters. I do not know what will be next move for the both of them. Will Joshua retire is he loses? Will Francis build up momentum from this fiight should he win and try to see how far he will go in boxing since he left the UFC?

francis is also a skilled boxer. that's why it's not making sense when the bookmakers are presenting francis to be the underdog when in fact if we are to measure which of them has the hardest punch, everybody will pick him. they were just banking on who has more experience in boxing.

there could still be an upset but i would see francis winning almost 90% if he would just be careful with his strategy.
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your go-to sports betting risk management strategies? on: March 08, 2024, 07:34:07 PM

hedging can be good since you have already the strategy to make wins. what i always do is a single parlay with just a few matches and then bet on single matches that i think i can sure win. with just a few USD on parlay and then give at least wage a little bigger on single bets.

arbitrage is for the very experts, very technical to me. and cashing out looks tempting but i would rather finish the game.
387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I just woke up and saw wins in my gambling app on: March 08, 2024, 06:35:39 PM

do you mean the sporty Nigerian bookie?
there is never an accurate prediction but people can do their analysis of the teams playing. It is a sport, you can think of it like the team is always matched to another team that could beat them.

you got lucky in the beginning so there is another chance for you to play again. If it is just luck for you then try your luck again but for sports lover, it could become his way to make money.
388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many satoshis are there per person in the world? on: March 08, 2024, 06:02:08 PM
wealth distribution has always been unfair for everyone. when you are born poor and turn into a self-made millionaire, you have done your job well in improving your life. to people with less opportunity, this is just a struggle, this is why we tend to migrate to other countries to work for it.

the internet is not even available in some parts of the country so i don't expect the adoption to spread quickly not everyone having 0.002 BTC.
389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 07, 2024, 08:30:47 PM
Francis Ngannou’s story is fascinating, I think Netflix will make a movie about him soon. For the Antony Joshua-Francis Ngannou fight, my favorite to win is Francis Ngannou. I watched his match against Tyson Fury and with all due respect to Tyson Fury, he was beat in the match and should not have been declared the winner. Francis Ngannou took the world by surprise on that fight, and his confidence is very strong. That being said, Anthony Joshua isn’t in the best of form and I don’t think he can defeat Francis Ngannou tomorrow.

somebody said about this who is also on his side in pushing back Dana White. his story being a poor boy from a poor country who used to be working in a mining company just shoveling sand and gravel now a millionaire in a country he migrated to.  its a fascinating story of success. but i think he needs to win against AJ for the world to see how he overcomes challenges in life. this is the kind of story that inspires someone from Africa.

i think he could KO AJ as early as 3rd round.
390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Massive withdrawal of Bitcoin on: March 07, 2024, 07:13:56 PM
Anytime the price of Bitcoin skyrockets, there would be massive selling of Bitcoin and this practice(s) have always lead to the price of Bitcoin falling back afterwards. During the approval of spot Bitcoin ETFs, it was observed that the massive selling of Bitcoin when the price got to $48,000 made the price to fall to $38,000, it was after the corrections that the price began to soar higher again till now that it has set a new ATH of about $69,210 and immediately, massive selling and withdrawal of Bitcoin was also noticed.

Wouldn't this continues practice of withdrawing and selling off whenever the price skyrockets going to slow the volatility of Bitcoin to continue skyrocketing? Since the price automatically starts experiencing a dip after every massive withdrawal.

What you said is right, OP but, In as much as that's the best time to hodl, so one's worth continues to increase, it's also just how the market works. Besides, not everyone sells off their Bitcoin and altcoins at this moment. Having Bitcoin at its ATH period is a factor and huge influence on people's wealth skyrocketing, but at the same time, not everyone sells and accepts Bitcoin, leading to the withdrawal and exchange for fiat currency.

those who sold their coins as early as now i think will regret it when they see the price goes more than 70k sooner. they are likely short-term investors but this is the time to become a long-term investor which makes sense because these investors are waiting for the effect of the halving.

those who withdraw BTC are among those who wants to hold and this makes BTC supply fewer and fewer in the circulation and the demand keeps rising and we all know what will happen in this case.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use profits from the crypto market? on: March 07, 2024, 06:49:40 PM

reinvesting your profit is the way to still be in the industry. you're gonna have to look at this trading and investing in crypto as your business to make money so that you can be in crypto for as long as you like. or take it as your second job. some of us have prepared to even pass their investment to their kids.

i have taken profit every bull run, and used the money for my house projects, and then reinvested the rest in the bear market.
392  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is it possible Cash out Crypto without KYC? on: March 07, 2024, 06:24:16 PM

p2p in the no KYC dex is still unsafe. though i have not yet tried it before i'm concerned about the bank learning that the money comes from another country.

you can try just trading with someone in the forum especially here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0
you can be sure they are not going to be asking for KYC as long as you sell your BTC but buying BTC is different. i tried selling going to my paypal which is quite the normal way.
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam called ''INACTIVITY FEES'' - HitBTC on: March 07, 2024, 06:05:18 PM

HitBTC reputation was tainted a long time ago that was enough for users to avoid the exchange since then. its withdrawal fee was very high as well even back in 2017, a lot of people already sense they will become a scam exchange one day and it did.

you can already tell there are less users in the exchange that they are not making enough money so deciding to collect fees from inactive users i guess is another way to make money. is logging in at least considered an activity in the exchange?

394  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto survey: your chance to improve the work of cryptocurrency exchangers! on: March 06, 2024, 07:32:52 PM
Hello everyone, this survey was created in order to identify weaknesses and strengths of cryptocurrency exchangers and to understand what is missing in the cryptocommunity, I am grateful in advance to everyone who will answer these questions and even if you add something from yourself, any feedback about the exchange process is welcome.

1) What do you like about the work of cryptocurrency exchangers?

2) What do you dislike about cryptocurrency exchangers?

3) What features or services would you like to see in cryptocurrency exchangers?

4) You have a choice of where to exchange currency and you can do it in different exchangers. What criteria for choosing an exchanger do you use?

This survey will be used for analytical purposes only and no more.

Have a nice and productive day!

1.  exchanges that are not asking KYC, that's what most would like i believe. i only see few of them and somehow only few people are also mentioning the exchange here.
2.  scam exchange and sending unnecessary emails.
3. i like the old version where there is no need to transfer from the spot wallet to the funding wallet and futures wallet.
4.  exchange that has credibility and is already reliable.

395  Economy / Speculation / Re: When is next significant correction coming? on: March 06, 2024, 07:00:19 PM
Hey hey hey everyone! Did you catch that dip? I did. Got some more Bitcoin for a very good price compared to $68. $60 and $68 is a very big difference.

People are saying there's a lot of manipulation involved in this price dip - well, I say - thank God there are manipulations like that!
But it is only a manipulation if someone classifies it as such. In other words, an authority that is of the opinion that it was manipulated, otherwise its just speculation, so we all speculating, arent we? In the case of altcoins, I would say manipulation, precisely because they are not decentralized and are perhaps controlled by their creator. Bitcoin is different. This price drop seems normal to me, I remember it from the last halving, there was also a drop shortly before that, but I think it was even bigger than the current one. if we dont see -70%, then we should see a few more good months or a year. But if you look at the price over the last 7 days, we are still at +10% for bitcoin, so everything is okay.

identifying when it will go down as if a correction is what i think he is asking for he is probably looking for a good price entry to buy BTC.
i think it will continue to go up and it will just correct its price when there is a big money going into big exchanges giving the new investors a low-price entry. a chance to hold BTC for newcomers.

if there is a correction right now, i would expect it to happen in the daily chart on the price of $40k. and wil rise again after a week.
396  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull run again, huh on: March 06, 2024, 06:35:29 PM
On this forum, I found out some information, and seriously want to ask it here.
What is a realistic expectation from the bull run, given  the last one in March 2021, Bitcoin hit  $61,000 and fell down to 31k about two couple of months later... It rose later on, amazingly though. But is this price fall normal in the bull run?? What is a helpful tip here.

a realistic expectation is the price going up but most important of all to learn is that there is halving. again huh.
well it's just what it is huh. halving is near. this is what you should have learned when you got into BTC. even without the technical knowledge as long as you know the halving date, i think you can make money.

when the price dips at least 30% - 50% it just exhausts the bulls and they are just resting.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔷 Waves Tech - a powerful blockchain-agnostic ecosystem on: March 06, 2024, 04:35:44 PM
waves can hit 50usd in 2024?

No, this coin is dead like Emercoin, Maidsafecoin,Bitshare... and others. it had potential, reached top 20, now only few dozen still support it.

even WAVES is getting old, its still reaching heights. in the last bull run, it touched $50 so it will not be surprising as well to see it go up again. the bear market also exposes this project to be very manipulated and very volatile which you will be losing a lot of money if you are going to keep holding. it has its own ecosystem that blows up every bull run.

but not a good token for long-term hold unless you wanna make more WAVES by staking.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rate AltCoin value between 2021 past bull run and this 2024 halving season on: March 06, 2024, 02:43:22 PM

altcoins are still not up there. LTC ATH was $400 in 2021 just a little higher than its ATH in 2017 which wasn't worth holding for some of its holders. i thought it would also go 3x its previous ATH but just not happening compared to BTC which could go parabolic and way beyond people's expectation.

same with the other altcoins in 2021, its ATH was a bit disappointing. but its more disappointing if you wouldn't be selling when bear market begins.
399  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dont chase your loss on: March 05, 2024, 07:56:48 PM
when is the time that it's necessary to gamble?
however, it's been the usual advice not to try chasing the loss. the more money will be lost in doing so. the martingale strategy is basically chasing the first loss and then you who applied the strategy kept doubling to get back that loss.

i have not seen a single user who tried chasing their loss and got it back successfully, i hope to see one actually.
400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: March 05, 2024, 05:23:46 PM
Well in my own opinion I will say it depends reason been that there are some person who claims to be an expert in prediction when they are not even one,as a means of extorting Money from people, I believe there are some person who are expert in prediction base on my experience so far, there's this man I met on social media the man predict correctly, whenever time he makes prediction it normally play just exactly the way he predicted it.and people keep winning with his tips,so in this case I think expert prediction work most times.

It was rare to find such a prediction expert. Most of them are just general predictions that anyone can make. Some of them only have a little expertise and claim to be prediction experts. If I found a prediction expert like you said maybe I would believe him. But most of them can't be trusted. To be honest I prefer my own predictions because there is fun in it. When you lose you have to accept it. And when you win you will feel very happy because your prediction was right and it will increase your dopamine hormone.

we are all seeing channels on social media that have been predicting good results. sometimes these people have been a part of a team somehow in the past and have been watching the sports still and having time to make money betting on sports.

i do think they have credibility but sometimes they make mistakes too. i can always forgive the mistakes as i am not into parlay all the time and not betting huge ffor parlays but i bet most of the time single bet.
