141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BookOfPresidents (MemeToken) on: April 09, 2024, 09:21:01 PM

BOPE ticker is already taken by the Book of PEPE meme coin also. it's the only i found after searching for the website of the BookOfPresidents token. there is no site for us to read about it.

If it is a group in telegram where we can see most meme they share about the president's meme, i think we can really enjoy the memes there. it's very timely as both presidents that will compete in the coming election in the US are the funniest.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm all in on kin coin now, but.... on: April 09, 2024, 08:32:56 PM
I was following KIN coin back in 2018 and I thought it would pump because they had a working model named KIK messenger and there were further promises because you don't see much altcoins with any working feature as most of them are just promised but the KIN coin never prospered and even the dev activities stopped hence I stopped following it. But need to review once again about their comeback if any but it's there for a while.

oh. i thought its a memecoin again. there is nothing on every page today but memecoins.

i also look into the chart of the coin, it seems to have bottomed already. surprisingly, a project like this has 58M cap yet is not very well known to many users. it's the first time i heard of it being shilled in the forum. but take the advice of a wise man, if it's not a top coin or a popular memecoin, it may just be left alone. that wise man is Tyrion Lannister.
143  Economy / Economics / Re: Accepting Bitcoin for paying tax on: April 09, 2024, 07:30:35 PM

the city has its token which is probably the preferred option.

i think they should carefully make rules for accepting cryptocurrencies in paying tax like they will only accept this during bull run and when the bear market starts, they halt the payment and then go back to fiat. resume when the bull run starts again lol because after all the BTC they got will still be turned into fiat the time they receive them.

144  Economy / Economics / Re: 2024 & Prediction of World War III - Effect on Cryptocurrencies on: April 09, 2024, 07:17:54 PM
The streak of difficulties with arms supplies to Ukraine should end in a few months.
Could you explain why?
The biggest reason for this particular problem is that the weapons meant for Ukrainian defense is being sent to the Zionists to be used to commit genocide in Palestine. I don't see how that situation is changing considering the terrorist organization those weapons are being given to is not stopping as it sees itself at the end of the line.

Regarding Kazakhstan, you're right in a way. Kazakhstan, Moldova and Armenia are the latest CIA projects and these countries are actively severing their ties with Russia now.
I can't comment on other situations but Armenia is all Russia's fault. The power vacuum Russia created in Caucasus, lack of cooperation with Iran and of course the increasing threat of the usurper Aliyev in Baku, and some other problems has left Armenia with little choices and of course the "journalist" in Yerevan is making the worst ones as the head of the Armenian government!

Out of desperation he is hoping the colonizers can put a leash on Turks that plan on wiping out Armenia from maps.
But of course the colonizers don't help anyone, they just colonize and use you...

But overall I agree that they are the latest CIA projects, we're going to see some messed up situation in Caucasus and Central Asia in the near future.
In fact this is why we suddenly see this new US proxy called ISIS-K appearing and already having committed terrorist attacks inside multiple countries in the region (eg. Crocus City Hall, Russia).

ISIS-K is really the one who attacks the Crocus City Hall?  i'm not really sure to believe that. all of a sudden those guys are mortal enemies of the West suddenly just lose volts and then attack Russia which is far away from them.

i couldn't see how things are going with all the wars in every corner of the globe, my country seem to be joining as well but this time, the West is targeting China vs my country. i guess Bitcoin and all major cryptocurrencies will not be adopted during a world chaos except memecoins. it's the only the poor men can afford when wars break out.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Number of new memecoin traders hits record high on: April 09, 2024, 06:50:34 PM

holding for a long term seem not the right thing but i understood some are doing it. the dogecoinmillionaire still holds his doge since elon hyped it. his money shoot to more than $3M the time when elon was on SNL and from there his doge value shrink below $1M.

regular people buying a lot of memecoin and holding them for longterm looks like the memecoin are going to scam a lot of regular people who wants to be a millionaire thru memecoins.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how do you think meme coinis? on: April 09, 2024, 04:52:01 PM
I often see meme coins on various platforms, do they really have potential? I’m not sure about their advantages, can you guys help me explain them?

We are in the meme coins era but I will not tell you they have potential because I bought some meme coins that turned out to be shitcoins and do rug pulls some meme coins have potential but you have to check every one of them and don't just rely on hype and shilling.

Just remember when there is a trending concept expect developers and scammers to join the bandwagon because this is another opportunity for them to scam unsuspecting investors, you have to be a wise investor and you have to be able to see what meme coins have potential and those who have not.

unfortunately it's true. there was a podcast i was watching the other day, i wouldn't want to mention the name of the channel but what they theorize is that memecoins are developed and hyped on social media to lure regular people to buy the very smallest amount they can afford to invest in crypto just so they will be onboard in this crypto ship.

i think we and those who also tried to promote their memecoins to social media i guess are part of it. Grin i don't even realize i'm part of it.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ve Chain price fall down suddenly ? on: April 09, 2024, 04:03:17 PM
the article didn't say anything at all but the regular price action when BTC fluctuates, nothing earth-shaking to this article. the entire altcoins are also going down when BTC starts dumping. i think op is just spamming his website with an article that says nothing.

majority of the altcoins always follow what BTC does. but they do have some roadmap of their own which every milestone the altcoin may pump a bit and then dumped again. vechain is somehow one of them still.
148  Economy / Economics / Re: Banking on people's ideas, visions, and talents. on: April 08, 2024, 09:13:23 PM
This goes to show that ideas and visions are not enough to create wealth, they're foundations to start the journey of success, so what really creates wealth is the available tools or resources to actualize the ideas or visions. This is like the story of the guy who has written a book on how to become reach but is looking for money to publish and promote the book, very ironic, so despite his ideas on how to make money, he still needs money to print and promote his project. This is why the richest people are not the smartest people, they sorounds themselves with smart people, collect their idea, implement them and become richer.
ideas alone isn't just enough in today's world and the most successful ones are not always the most brilliant ones. Those that are able to go above having brilliant ideas into bringing it to pass are the real MVP.

This is part of the reason why somany first class graduate end up being employed by those that are average in class cause the reality is that most average ones execute every little thing they know without necessarily waiting for everything to become alright and as perfect as it would have been.

the truth of the matter is that many of the immigrants entering the US are very qualified to work and brilliant since they are graduates and with a Ph.D. badge. it's just that there are few opportunities in their country. they have ideas and if they have funds to innovate, they may be product developers.

if they are given a chance to develop in their country and their government supports them, they may not even have to come to the land of opportunity.  but if they have found their way in US i guess this is where they wanna start.
149  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: US Department of Justice vs KuCoin on: April 08, 2024, 07:07:47 PM
And what will happen to those exchanges, which even now do not have KYC?
Indeed, if you are dealing with the Department of Justice, let alone the US, the problem is already long, I think there is one way for the KuCoin exchange to avoid being accused of money laundering, as accused by US Justice lawyers.
1. KuCoin must create a KYC feature for all its users worldwide.

Maybe, if KYC is burdensome for KuCoin, like it or not, they have to implement it, so that money laundering charges against terrorists can legally be resolved, but if KuCoin doesn't respond to this case professionally, Maybe over time, KuCoin could become a problem for the exchange, of course this will have an impact on KuCoin users themselves.

We have seen case after legal case against Binance, but Binance continues to operate as usual, maybe if KuCoin could do like Binance I don't think it would be an obstacle for KuCoin to gain the trust of the users themselves, The point is that each case can be resolved based on whether the case itself is big or small.

they only need to pay the fine to continue operating. a few other exchanges would have done the same thing and not asked for KYC.

but with the kind of departments such as Homeland Security Investigations and FED, i'm sure they are not after a fine of $4B, knowing that South Korea is their Ally, the US government will demand access to Kucoin's database to see user's details. it's not just limited to US citizens who trade in Kucoin.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto loan platform? on: April 08, 2024, 06:27:23 PM
Cryptos are not really loan friendly, DeFi hype is over a long time then NFT and now Memecoins is the trend. If it's possible for a platform to provide loan without collateral then it would end up being trend again but who is going to take such risk?

not really, they come back like cycles. as of now, there are still lots of users investing in DEFI platform, most probably the ones they know not a scam. one platform that i know was the SOV which investors are flocking and kept sending messages to users whether they wanna sell because investors are wanting to buy higher than the market price.

memecoins are also cycling, they've already been making hypes since Shib and they are back once again. i once thought they were just created to test the network's capability but they are making millionaires. but loaning is not quite what users wanted to do on Defi.
151  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Gambling popularity sa social media on: April 08, 2024, 04:45:13 PM

152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your top performing altcoin this year so far?? on: April 08, 2024, 04:17:31 PM
anyone with SOL would say SOL is their best-performing altcoin so far. even when they have some Doge or TON tokens. i did have at some point SOL and TON i recently sold them and just hold BTC for now. currently, my best-performing asset isn't as good as it was unlike last few weeks, the bull run isn't making all cryptocurrencies pumping all at once. it's just picking a few every now and then.
153  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Who should be held responsible for the problems of the society on: April 08, 2024, 08:37:02 AM
it sounds like the mother of the waitress and the Aunt are judging each other. i'm quite sure both sisters are not on good terms. if you have lived in this world long enough to understand what other things are happening behind the scenes, you shall see it's not just the government's fault or the corrupt politicians.

but the culture in Nigeria is just like any Asian countries that we respect the elders otherwise you get a slap on your face. that waitress wouldn't even have to work for her mom once she graduated college. she can decide for herself later whether to marry a yahoo boy or not.

society always tells us to protect and educate children because they are the future but look at what we did to the teachers, the government doesn't even pay what they're worth.
154  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Factors that might affect ATH in BTC price after halving on: April 07, 2024, 08:39:17 PM

the inflation is surely going to affect. it's going to rise because oil production is limited by OPEC, and the rich will be buying BTC thinking it is the hedge.

since Trump had already expressed that Bitcoin is an alternative money, then probably this could be a Bitcoin election, it's still more than 6 months so there are lots of things that could happen. for Biden being the current president, it only takes a few days to promote himself which could alter the course.

155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Temporary Down Turn for Altcoins Over? on: April 07, 2024, 07:11:39 PM
The community doesn't know exactly what will be the reaction of altcoins nor bitcoin in the next few days and weeks but be rest assured that not all altcoins will or has fall up to a 30%.

Mostly we know that altcoins follow the bitcoin trends to make move, so whatever bitcoin does that is exactly what every other coin will follow. But I believe that bitcoin will not longer fall that much so it might be heading to an upward movement, and so the altcoins might be following it too.

So we just have to be patient with the market and be conscious at the same time not to loss our funds.

it bounced though. maybe it's really just temporary. the problem with this market is that, in just a day it will make you believe we are back to rally up again, and then the next day it disappoints you again. today it may have gone up like it will continue going to $75k but the next day you will be tricked again that it will dive to $60k.

so when the price increased to 68k today, a lot may have actually bought and iff they find out tomorrow it falls below 68k again, they may sell.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto loan platform? on: April 07, 2024, 05:12:44 PM
Are people now taking loans from crypto platforms now?

It's the first time I'm hearing of such thing like crypto loans platform.

Firstly, I don't borrow and I haven't tried it and I don't even think I will be doing that at any time, not even from individuals or companies not banks I haven't borrowed yet but if the need arises I might take the risk but only for a good course.

I don't really know about loan platforms here nor outside the crypto space, so I don't have any idea of a what the would be like.

i thought OP is asking your favorite crypto loan platform and no one answered Bitcointalk, people here ask for loans to gamble all the time.  Grin

i don't think the users here know about this Goldfinch GFI actually. not a word from this company but it seems to have existed back 2022. it is however the start of RWA trend so i'm guessing crypto loan platform is where the narrative is going to start. there have been many DEFI projects in the past though so its not surprising those DEFI platforms will also be in this race soon.
157  Economy / Economics / Re: considering the advantage of Fiats over Cryptocurrencies on: April 06, 2024, 09:01:14 PM
Nobody is arguing about the importance of fiat currencies, because we cannot survive in some places without having them, therefore we can never leave fiat currencies.

The world today is becoming digital, keeping fit money is now stress and leaving them inside our bank accounts is also stressful and useless since it cannot add more and will be reduced when banks charge us for keeping the money with them that is why Bitcoin is introduced to give us freedom financially.

Instead of keeping fiat, you can hold bitcoin to save the value of your wealth against inflation and others.

keeping fiat like cash is still a good option since all stores still accept fiat. local stores are not yet ready to accept BTC and other crypto. but with fiat, it's always going to be accepted that's the biggest advantage of fiat and the value is not so volatile, unlike crypto where your asset value will just be half in a few months during a bear market.
It's why even when crypto becomes mainstream, we can't make fiat disappear.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the Altcoins Going to Dip in Short Term? on: April 06, 2024, 07:28:09 PM
Bitcoin price has been pumped very fast for a few days so the price correction of Bitcoin is affecting all other coins but it will not last long.  This is a temporary problem when Bitcoin price correction period is over when Bitcoin starts pumping again or if Bitcoin price is stable then bull market of Altcoin will start so if one wants to buy Altcoin now for long term holding it will be able to give good returns. so if someone have enough money for long-term investment then they can do it

Crypto is a super volatile asset class -- one level above gambling sh*t. There lies an opportunity for someone who is patient enough and has emotional and mental fortitude.

I don't believe the way crypto markets operate one should hold when the investment is well diversified. I think the retail investors should cash out their profit in every cycle.

The goal is to hit that 10x on the original investment, then take the profit and flush it to a more stable investment vehicles such as regular stock markets. And as you age, profits from those riskier investments such as stock should be siphoned to more conservative investments -- dividends/bonds etc.

i sure agree with cashing out every cycle but moving to a conservative investment such as dividends and bonds might not be easier for me.  i speak for myself being a crypto investor, i have no idea which bonds and dividends but these are types of assets that you will have to give up all data while the assets aren't very liquid. vehicle is a depreciating asset which is a no-no. for some one like me who wants to reinvest in back, will just keep the asset in stablecoin and wait.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Temporary Down Turn for Altcoins Over? on: April 06, 2024, 07:04:03 PM
you can't know for sure it's over. the market is still overbought yet there is something that is coming such as the halving which anyone who is analyzing the market can easily be bewildered as to what is happening.

this is the reason why i put half of my coins into usdt while some of the tokens i think are still not doing well in the market remain as is. i couldn't remove in my mind that it could plummet down.
160  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is forex trading a hobby or a skill on: April 06, 2024, 06:34:41 PM

they can trade in the long-term chart where a few pip increments of price in a month, they still make hundreds of thousands. they stick to their trading position while also busy in their brick-and-mortar business while trading. this is like a hobby.

but some people look at forex trading as their sole business that they trade every minute of the day as the market shuts down on the weekends. forex market is just like the futures market in crypto, they players are pros.
