1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A known enemy can easily be defeated on: May 27, 2024, 09:59:17 PM
Before saying that I am a fool, I know this is a scam, but I need to ask about what could possibly go wrong if he submit a wallet address? I did told him to submit a random wallet address that is empty with no single transactions in the past though but I can't stop thinking what this could lead to.
Is it really necessary? Why waste your time doing all this? You know the person is a scammer, so I see no reason why you should even communicate with him. If I am your brother, I will just ignore the person because I know it’s totally a waste of time, and the person will make me keep on remembering my past. I do say that anyone claiming to help you recover your coin is just trying to scam you, they want to increase your loss, so stay away from them. It’s better you just accept your loss and move on rather than trying to recover the coin.

If you know their trick you can always be ahead of them and possibly be able to Warn others too, I am just wondering what they could possibly have in mind, I think they will track his transactions to know his worth. Or there is more? What do you think?
I don’t know what the scammer will be doing with the wallet address, but I am sure after asking for the wallet address, the scammer will also request the wallet private key, and if your brother can also provide that, then anything remaining in the wallet will be moved.

If you have hints that you are talking with a scammer, then the best thing to do is to get rid of him instantly. Don’t act as if you can take advantage of him instead by biting his own offer, scammers can sometimes be smarter than us and may left us falling into their traps instead. Besides, lost coins are someone’s ownership already and not yours anymore, so just forget it and move on. And don’t let scammers have in contact with you, you’ll never know what’s running in their heads and they can easily locate you if you fall on their traps.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you feel that the global economy is declining? on: May 26, 2024, 09:45:55 PM
One of my colleagues told me that his salary is lower now than it was five years ago. Sadly, the price of goods is rising.
I don’t believe that an employee’s salary may decrease but it’s more on the rate will increase especially if you are doing excellent in your job title. Maybe you are trying to say that his salary now is likely struggling to cover all the bills and expenses due to rising prices of goods and services which I think is understandable due to rising inflation. Well, your friend is not alone, as I bet everyone here has experienced that. Having a side job is the key so that if your main job salary is not enough, you still have another job that you’ll expect to pay you.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust bitcoin holders? on: May 26, 2024, 08:59:10 PM
Well, I am a Bitcoin holder so I did want to say we are not all like this. I am not anti governments and I am not anti banks. I do trust in myself for this reasons. We have to be very patient with our Bitcoin.

I do like what Bitcoin does have to offer. But I do not want to to overpower the powerful governments and the banking systems in this world.
Going into bitcoin and investing on it does not mean that you are also trying to be against the government. The government cannot guarantee your financial stability so you have to find your own way and stick to bitcoin as long as it’s needed. But nevertheless, as much as you want to pursue with bitcoin, that won’t definitely mean that you’re becoming an anti-government in the process.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are confident with your picks, do you win most of the time? on: May 24, 2024, 10:38:09 AM
According to the information from the OP, it looks like he had bad luck with his recent gambling activities. Right now, it is really hard to come to a conclusion about whether to continue with the instinct of the mind or go against the mind, as the recent picks were all lost bets. In my view, rather than going against the mind, it is good to take a break because when luck isn't favoring us, whatever way we try, we're not going to win. Even sports betting is connected with luck, though 90% depends on the data collection and recent match history, the remaining 10% is completely on luck. When the 10% isn't supportive, the bet is once again going to lose.
That's tough when you keep fading yourself, as it's never fun to gamble like that. If we are not winning, then we should check our strategy and improve it. It's never a good strategy to keep betting against yourself, as eventually, you'll also experience a losing streak, which might cause you to lose confidence in betting. It's important to understand that there's no fixed strategy that works in sports betting. If we really want to succeed, we need to act based on the current situation and make adjustments when necessary, as odds markets are also doing the same. We have to level with them.

DALLAS MAVERICKS @ MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES
Mavs Win / Kyrie Irving more than 30+ Points
Timberwolves Win / Karl-Anthony Towns more than 30+ Points

So this game will be tomorrow, I just like to clarify, if I will only bet on Mavs to win, and it happened that Irving scored 30+ points even if I didn't bet on the player prop, I will be a winner?

I think this one is easy if my understand is correct, so I'll opt in, I'm just waiting for a confirmation.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 24, 2024, 07:04:59 AM
Celtics is going to Indiana with 2-0 lead in the series. Haliburton is injured, it's alarming for Pacers. Brown is having his best game in the play-off. It looks like Celtics will finish this series pretty fast and have time to rest before the finals. The Pacers' regret of not winning the first game seems to be growing even more now.
BTW if the Celtics win the championship, the Finals MVP could be Brown instead of Tatum. It would be very interesting if Brown, who was mocked in the dunk contest, becomes the FMVP in the same year. Smiley

Yes, it's now 2-0, Pacers is not on the brink although this is just game 3 and playing at home. But their best player is injured and somewhat will have to step up to avoid a sweep. But I think it's a forgone conclusion now, even without KP, Celtics is really solid and proving why they are the best team in the regular season by having defeated their opponents and they are like average 10.5 winning margins, so that's speak how great this team is. And I do agree, if they are going to win the conference finals, I think Jaylen Brown will be the MVP, base on the strength of his 3 point in game 1 that forces OT and get the win for them. And another stellar performance in game 2 with 40 big points.

I'm sure the Pacers cannot forget their big mistake in game 1, they could have won it and the series after game 2 is tied. That would still make them confident going home with 1-1 record. But now, they'll be playing with 0-2 record and they'll need to win both game 3 and 4 so they have a chance to beat the Celtics. I hope the injury of their main man is nothing serious, he'll come back in game 3 and showed their dominance at home, they can get back in the series.

Quote
But the odds for the Eastern conference MVP favors Tatum at 1.75, Brown at 2.20. Might be good to throw some money Brown now.

I would go for Brown this time as Tatum is inconsistently, we can't blame here because the defense are so focus on him, so most likely it will be Brown that will produce more points. And his confidence now is very high after scoring 40 points on a big win in game 2.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRADERS are not UNEMPLOYED on: May 24, 2024, 06:48:49 AM
Being unemployed means you don’t have any sources that provide you an income, thus you might be only doing things but are not profitable on your part.
This is clear understanding in the very simple statement.
Yes, the point is, unemployment means someone doesn't make money. If you are still able to make money, that means the person is trying. In fact, even if a person is not yet able to earn money but he is working or trying, he still cannot be said to be unemployed.

It's just that, in fact, in society, perhaps sometimes there is still a strong relationship with what is called work:
Wearing a uniform - leaving for work - coming home in the afternoon - there's an appointment - a clear place of work - there's a definite salary every month - there's a pay slip.

Meanwhile, others are considered to be doing unclear work and unemployment, or worse still, in my place, worshiping the devil to get money. Grin Grin
The statement is very clear, those who spend time working and exert some effort are employed (by themselves or by other people). Therefore, although we can't say that trading is not a good choice but at least, it gives those who are looking for something, a way to earn money while looking for a stable job to land with.

Well, it is just the fact that some people confuse themselves while trading because they think that being an employed person's money is certain.  But unfortunately, trading can't ensure such a thing.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lack of capital or knowledge, which one is holding traders back from profits? on: May 23, 2024, 09:47:17 PM
Both are important things that a trader must acquire but still, they can trade without knowledge, yet it is very expected for losses. But if you are a smart person, I don't think we have to do that when we know this would be the thing we get instead of profit. Besides, trading is not a competition to think that who will come first will earn more but it is those who have capital and the right knowledge.
That is necessary to make ourselves well-prepared or else, we are making no fortune in trading. If we want to become a successful trader, then we have to equip ourselves with knowledge, skills, and enough capital.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will always Survive on: May 23, 2024, 01:14:05 PM
Bitcoin is a digital currency that governments of countries that have legalized Bitcoin are investing in Bitcoin with great success. But the popularity of Bitcoin is increasing day by day, people are showing interest in Bitcoin and the amount of investment is increasing. Many times it is seen that we are too hasty to invest.
That gives us confidence that Bitcoin will stay long and be able to survive from the dips. This is the reason why investors prefer to invest in Bitcoin over other investments in the trust that despite the unstable price, it has a huge chance to rally back. Yes, nobody has such interest when they see the market price is declining, they will ignore Bitcoin for sure. But as we can see, it is a life-changing opportunity that we must not ignore instead a thing to be involved with. Many people become rich already from this and I think it was an obvious proof that investing in Bitcoin has a profit potential.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wich altcoin has that similar to btc ? on: May 22, 2024, 09:53:58 PM
Im looking for altcoin wich POS proof of stake.
But it's similar to btc limited supply and maybe with halving kind of thing.
I like btc only thing what i don't like it's POW thing so Im looking for similar supply game but just POS.
You will just find nothing because BTC is the only coin with a unique feature and characteristic whereas altcoins have nothing to compare with. Don't waste your time looking for it but rather go buy BTC directly. Or, stop doing that and invest in potential altcoins.

 - in terms of market supply and prices, BTC is special but altcoins have an unlimited supply. However, the chances of earning huge in altcoins are high, a lot of coins in hyped x1000 but yes, the risk of losing is too high as well. So, you better think what really the option you take, or choose to be safe with Bitcoin.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: This Will make you rich on: May 22, 2024, 09:34:20 PM
This is not financial advice but I think it works - follow what rich people are doing if we want to be like them.
Rich people do not just have a single source of income but many. Rich people are not lazy, they work hard in order to get who they are today. They are also risk-takers, willing to spend money for their future. I believe we can do it if we really want it but unfortunately, most of us don't have such kind of mindset and plan. That is why not all become rich but that is life, we make our destiny and all the things we have depend on our personality and mindset.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 22, 2024, 02:50:39 PM
I bet on over 213.5 as it looked so obvious this game is gonna go over. If you look at the last 2 games, the total  were below 200, and now the total offered is over 213.5, this is fishy, so I like to follow my instinct here.

That's very clever, nice pick. It looked like it was going to go under after the first half, but the third quarter saw a lot of points scored, which easily brought the game over. The right pick was SMB -5.5 as they beat ROS by 10 points. Now the series is already 3-0, and there's no way ROS will be able to come back. I think it's going to be a sweep. Congratulations.

Yup, slow start but after 1st half both teams  start to rally and the over was easily covered, same with the handicap as SMB manage to take the win with a double digit leads, as you mentioned it's a 3-0 series now and the chance of getting sweep is almost at hand for SMB, though maybe to extend the series a magical hands will comes out and provide that luck for RoS bettors, it's not over until the series is not over hahaha. Let's wait and see if SMB will sweep this or ROS will manage to win game/s against the powerhouse SMB.

The same scenario happened with the Ginebra vs. Meralco game. It was a high-scoring 1st quarter, but the succeeding quarters were low-scoring. I even saw the live total reach 193.5 when it was only 178.5 before the game. Here's the breakdown of the quarters' scoring:

1st: 49...2nd: 33....3rd: 49....4th: 36
The total score was only 167, so the under wins. Additionally, Meralco now holds the lead in the series as they dominated Ginebra in this game.

That's the real defense, these two are both defensive teams, so the outcome should be under. And also, we have to consider that they are not playing in a familiar court. The 3 point shooting was missing as both teams shoots below 30%. I'm sure game 4 will also be a low scoring game as Ginebra is going to activate better defense to even the series, going down 1-3 is already very hard for them, so I guess I'm gonna side on the Ginebra in game 4 and will just forget betting on total.

We thought that AI was a helping tool to the community but sadly, it is a tool for scams now. The more we develop new technologies, the more we are prone to such things, and the more we become careful about our actions. It is a very tricky situation now and we too hard to determine if you are talking to a real person or a fake one (AI).
Scammers are really smart, they take advantage of the current technologies which we can feel no safe and no excuse for scamming activities. That is right, we take time to decide and be cautious about our actions especially when talking to strangers.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 21, 2024, 12:06:18 PM

Based on the betting odds they are likely to meet in the Finals, but we can wait, and let's see if they can beat their respective opponents because I think the Pacers and the Mavs are in the conference finals because they are also good.

That's right, we can see the complete odds here. https://www.covers.com/nba/finals/odds

Celtics is the heavy favorite with -165, followed by Wolves, Dallas and then the Pacers.

Dallas are currently at +500, honestly I'm quite tempted to bet on that, but at the same time, I'm also tempted to bet on the Pacers with +3000 because they are  healthy team, they rely on each other so they can last as long as they'll be able to compete with the team like the Celtics.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is boxing the worst sport to bet on? on: May 21, 2024, 10:29:02 AM
Betting is different from just being a pure sports fan. If you're just a fan and don't like gambling, you might criticize the sport. However, when it comes to betting, we only bet if we believe we are knowledgeable about the sport we choose, as this increases our winning chances.

Actually, all sports have their critics. Some people believe that certain sports are rigged, including boxing, but not only boxing because even basketball, tennis, and soccer (football) have their critics. At the end of the day, it's up to us to decide which sport we will bet on.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What type of a trader/investor is this? on: May 20, 2024, 09:45:11 PM
I could be wrong but that is not a real trader/investor. If you are a smart person, you can't just let go of your hands, you will certainly take it.
IMHO, I don't believe such a story. Imagine it is more than a 100% increase, in fact, some people sell their coins even with just a small increase. If not greediness, I don't think this person is aware of the situation.

But to assume it was true, then I can say that this person lives in greediness. Contentment is not in his mind but instead, aiming for more. Many people suffer from this kind of mental disease and to find out that those people have never improved as they always missed the chance.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake curse strikes again, rapper loses on Fury, Usyk bet on: May 20, 2024, 12:54:42 PM
i'm sure that people who believe in the 'drake curse' have won a lot of those fights. and it was quite unlucky that i didn't place a bet on boxing, because maybe i could have made hundreds of dollars from that bet. but i think that loss is nothing to drake, since he has $250 million in his wallet and losing a few hundred thousand dollars is just a small game for him.
Still big IMO, because that loss is almost a million. He worked for that money through his career, so it's not an easy money.  But since he keeps sharing his bets slips, the losing ones, then I guess that's fine with him and he can afford to lose that amount, but I don't think it's "nothing".

I haven't been able to fade Drake's bet yet, may I know where he is posting his bets slips? I just want to try to prove if it's really a working strategy. Grin
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: May 19, 2024, 11:31:45 AM
I didn’t think I would wake up to videos of Mile Tyson saying that he got an erection watching a 16 year old Jake Paul do tik tok dances, but here we are. As sick and twisted as that statement is, it’s somewhat refreshing to have an insane Mile Tyson back saying insanely gay things to terrify his opponents. I almost forgot what it was like. Lol

Well Jake Paul started it when he said that he wanted to kiss Mike Tyson's lip,

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xFLaptG2iNs

LOL, but it was really uncomfortable hearing what Tyson says though and then the reaction of the crowd was funny, awkward silence with some boo's.

But this is the old and classic Mike Tyson, remember when he said that "I want your heart, I'm gonna eat your children". The interviewer was also shock when he heard this explosive stuff coming from Mike's mouth.

Best way for the fans to talk about the fight is create a headline, and talks like that can easily create a headline. Mike Tyson may talk too much but less action in the ring, we can understand that because he is not the young Mike, he's old, probably have change but still have his talent in selling the fight.

I don't what I would expect in this fight, but as much as it's hype a lot now, I'm afraid I would be disappointed in the actual action in the fight, hopefully I'm wrong.

That's how bad Mike is, but honestly, I'm not very confident in him anymore, probably because he's getting older. No matter what he says about Jake Paul, it cannot be denied that Jake is the stronger boxer right now. If their exchanges add some excitement to the fight, that would be great. However, since it's just an exhibition fight, I don't expect a real bout where a knockout could happen, especially not against an aging Mike Tyson.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here who retired with Gambling winnings ? on: May 17, 2024, 12:19:31 PM
Anyone here who retired with Gambling winnings ?  If not, how much you think is sufficient to retire as Gambling winning ?
Obviously there is no amount sufficient enough to retire. And it is difficult to retire with gambling wining because almost everybody that gamble usually lose, so the chances of wining is slim, talk more of retirering In gambling wining. Although there may be some folks who may have retired through gambling wining but I believe they are few which I am not even part of them. I hardly win in bet talk more of retirering through it.
Maybe we can only retire if we win a lottery as that sure is already enough to live our life with sufficient money. However, if we are just gambling for fun, retiring means killing the fun, so there's no sense of retiring if we have no gambling problem like being addicted to it. If I win a lottery, I can still gamble and just manage most of my funds into investing in business, that way I have an entertainment and business at the same time.
