701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: July 11, 2023, 11:54:57 AM
On that note, if the coach is prioritizing those players who have already secured their spot, we might not see Kai getting good minutes. Maybe he will be playing to give some rest to those priority players, enough to say that he is able to play during the summer league, but the hope of being noticed might be another question. As a fan, I want him to show his talent and develop, but if there's nothing to show up, or I mean there's not enough playing time to showcase that talent, then we might not expect anything great to happen to Kai.

Maybe it's still not for him, or we never know what will happen. We're still hoping and looking for the best outcome for Kai.

I think you may be right there mate, Kai Sotto might not get good playing minutes in the summer league because of that reason. On its second game, the Magic still hasn't fielded Kai Sotto, even a single minute so we might as well not hope that Kai Sotto will make it into the NBA, sad to say that but that would be the truth.

The crowd was even cheering and asking the coach to play Kai, but it appears that the decision is final, and they are not giving Kai any minutes. It's frustrating, but that's how the game goes. Better luck next time for Kai. I'm sure that as long as he continues to pursue his dream, one day he'll achieve it, especially considering he is still young.

NLEX vs Meralco Bolts
TNT Katropa vs Rain Or Shine

^^ Games for tomorrow, odds not out yet but the first game looks pretty even I think and either team could win the game so will bet for the underdog on that game but on the second game, ROS will be the favorite and I'll go for them.

I'm leaning on the Rain or Shine and Meralco Boltz, I might make it a parlay bet.
702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Education and money as the key to Bitcoin adoption. on: July 10, 2023, 08:32:41 PM
Lack of education, technical knowledge, and awareness has been the major challenge for Bitcoin enthusiasts, it is high time we kick-start the mass eradication of Bitcoin illiteracy in our society, preach about Bitcoin, but don't force it on anyone,

...

The sad thing is that many people know about Bitcoin but only a few gain interest while many of them just ignore it. It is important to have a proper education about crypto but also, it was very important if that person had an interest in this. Indeed, we can't force someone to adopt and use Bitcoin as currency, it was their choice either but somehow, correcting them with their negative views could help and enlighten their thinking and would possibly change their mind.

Honestly, convincing people was hard and we can't expect them to change right away but once seeing it was been used by others, this will also boost their trust and confidence.
703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching Bitcoin is not do or die on: July 07, 2023, 07:36:28 PM
Trying to force someone to learn Bitcoin should not be the case. As all activities are becoming digital day by day, everyone needs to know about digital virtual currency.  But there is no need to invest or force someone to invest.I have told many of my friends about Bitcoin but I have not forced anyone to invest in Bitcoin.  If someone is more interested in Bitcoin and wants to invest with risk tolerance then he can invest.  I think there is no need to force anyone to invest in Bitcoin. Most people think Bitcoin investment is only profitable and they encourage others to do so.  But later most people suffer losses.
We don't have to force someone to learn but we just cater to those individuals that are willing to listen and are able to change their mindset. But still, don't overly think that all of them will believe you as well. They might listen but unfortunately, they also carry some doubts which in the end, they do nothing and ignore the opportunity. That is why if you are teaching 100 people, we can't expect that all of them will invest and adopt Bitcoin, it was good to see if 50% of them will follow what we said.
704  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The price dropping, any reason the huge dump? on: July 07, 2023, 07:12:50 PM
Drop isn't new in the market, just consider it as free fall as everything happens here - up and down. And it was not the thing we worried about but rather think that this is really how the market works. Might be because of the SEC, some FUDs, negative news, etc - all of them are a sort of manipulating factor that would affect the price but just believe that Bitcoin won't go that low anymore that we must be worried off, better make this a reason to buy more the same thing that the others did.
705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 07, 2023, 12:26:25 PM
Currently, there are no concrete news about Dame's trade and Portland is still giving the Heat the chance to have Dame this offseason.
Regarding about the trade, it seems that a 3rd party is needed on the trade and it's the Brooklyn Nets who surfaced amongst all teams who are interested to facilitate it because Portland have changed their mind and that they are now not interested in getting Tyler Herro.

Here's the Mock Trade:
~
Source: https://allucanheat.com/2023/07/06/perfect-3-team-trade-damian-lillard-miami-heat/

It's funny. This site calls it "a perfect 3-team trade", but I'd say it's a perfect deal only for the Nets and the Heat but not for the Blazers. The way I see it, getting a few future first-round picks, as well as an aging Lowry and a weird guy like Simmons, would be a dumb decision by the Blazers' management. In that case, the Blazers would look like the Rockets, who have been trying to rebuild their team for a few seasons now.

That's what would happen if they give up their main players without receiving quality players in return. They might need to wait a little longer to rebuild their team effectively. It would be beneficial for Portland to acquire a star player, especially considering Lillard's desire to leave the team. As for the Heat, Jimmy could be a good trade option, but it remains uncertain whether the Heat would agree to such a trade.

We don't have a clue yet about what will happen, as the teams involved have already laid their cards on the table. However, it appears that Portland still remains uninterested in the situation.
706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do 90% of Bettors Lose in Sports Betting in the Long-term? on: July 07, 2023, 11:17:26 AM

Usually people who are in a hurry or are impatient will experience chaos in gambling,....

That's for sure, gambling is a kind of fun or entertainment that is too risky. We are dealing with money here, so if we get too emotional, especially when we experience significant losses, it can lead us to chase our losses in the hopes of turning a profit.

However, we fail to understand that winning every day in gambling is not realistic. In fact, the majority of gamblers experience losses in the long run. This reality alone should serve as a strong reminder for us to manage our finances responsibly and not spend more than we can afford to lose.
707  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will fall or rise? $30400 the recent price on: July 06, 2023, 10:37:06 PM
Sideways are always possible, but having a little more optimism on the price won't hurt either. If actually bitcoin is going sideways over the course of the year in the $28k - $35k price range, then this would be a good phase to do a lot of entries and DCA. Of course that's because there's a lot of confidence about the coming year especially since the halving is very likely to push bitcoin prices even higher.

If you want to invest at the current price, then the best advice is still to do DCA. Prices can fluctuate sharply due to FUD which sometimes just attacks the market, but recovery will also follow. Accumulate as much as possible and hold on to your bitcoin for the long term.
Holding on to bitcoins for the long term is the best way to go. By implementing the DCA strategy it will be very helpful. Instead of having to panic to keep selling, it's better to buy gradually with the money we have. the price keeps fluctuating and the FUD keeps coming, so it's an opportunity to start buying. The price will not continue to fall, there will be times when the price will be bullish and reach the highest target again.
FUDs still give influence the market trend, many people got hooked up when hearing negative things and started to worry about the future. So instead of making themselves calm, they get into panic selling. Now, the news has become the main market player and it dictates what will happen next that is why whales and those manipulators are using this to manipulate the situation. But despite the change after the SEC announcement, I don't see the price of Bitcoin will dump hard instead, I was believing that it continues to move high surpassing $31k.
708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin halving next month - worth investing? on: July 06, 2023, 09:58:15 PM
I have only just come across Litecoin after reading it’s next halving is in early August.

Everyone says how well the markets move when Bitcoin halving occurs so is it not an ideal time to invest in Litecoin with its halving so close?

I am thinking of throwing in a bit of money in the hope it at least does a 2x in the next month or so.

Anyone else into Litecoin and will it rise during the halving next month?
Honestly, only a few people got to look and become interested in Litecoin because it did not really have the potential to grow and be profitable. We can't blame them either because even me, it never encourages us to invest. Because it was not just the halving is our metric to see if that project has the potential to grow but we are looking at its monthly performance and sadly, Litecoin doesn't make it well which it means that there are no active trades happening. And even if the halving comes next month this won't hype the project and see no impact on its price.
709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How is your Gambling Pattern Like? on: July 06, 2023, 01:54:44 PM
Others are unable to control themselves because of greed; others want to win back their losses, and others want to win big, which is why they keep losing. But again, we are lucky that we can control our emotions when gambling, and we should continue it. Also, it is better if we can limit our gambling habits to once a week or once a month so that we are not prone to addiction. Also, we shouldn't treat it as a source of income, as that can trigger us to bet more. Gambling is just for fun and entertainment.
It's not called luck, as controlling our emotions is based on our will. Luck is when we can't control the outcome, and it turns out to be in our favor. If we can't control our emotions, then it is likely to result in bigger problems in the long run. Therefore, I believe we should not consider gambling, as self-control is a must.
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Emmanuel Navarette - Aug 12 on: July 06, 2023, 01:09:30 PM
These are two great boxers with their own boxing tactics and skills. I love to watch Valdez fight as he is a boxer that never gets tired and don't accept defeat easily. The booker gave Valdez more advantage of winning this fight and I wouldn't doubt Valdez strength and skills. It wouldn't be an easy fight and I look forward to see if this fight will go down like that of Morales vs Barrera. Mexicans are very good boxers and this fight is between two boxers from the same country.
Valdez may have been dominant before his loss to Shakur, but now that he's not undefeated, it's likely that his confidence has been affected. Navarrete may be considered the underdog in this fight, but I believe he has the capability to win. He just needs to execute the right strategy, perhaps even replicating what Shakur did if possible. However, if Navarrete prefers to fight toe to toe, it could still be entertaining for the crowd, even though the advantage may not be in his favor.
711  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I become a successful Bitcoin investor as a newbies? on: July 05, 2023, 09:48:19 PM
 -work hard
 -keep on learning
 -be patient
-keep motivated despite the losses and mistakes

Well, it wasn't easy as we read. Trading is a difficult job that most newbies had failed. Because if we want to succeed in trading, it was not just by simply following those things but also, it needs consistency which I find usually missing. To become successful, we have to step up and never called ourselves as newbie anymore.
712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 05, 2023, 12:06:13 PM
If in case he will win and Casimero will continue his winning stats, we might see them meeting in the same ring as long as Inoue
choose to stay in this current division.

f Inoue is also willing to fight Casimero, it would be intriguing, considering that Inoue had a chance to face Casimero in the bantamweight division but chose not to pursue it. Now that they will meet in the super bantamweight division, hopefully Casimero will become a mandatory challenger, leaving Inoue with no excuses to avoid fighting him.
713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: July 05, 2023, 11:35:56 AM
Just one question to the veterans out here, if i bet for Ginebra now for that ML odds, would i be violating bookies' TC since i already bet for Meralco last night with an odds of @2.05?

Firstly, I am not a veteran, but I can answer your question based on my experience. I have done that before, and I have had no issues when it comes to waiting for the bets to be settled. In my opinion, there is no violation involved in taking advantage of such opportunities to make money by betting on both teams and accepting the odds offered. Such opportunities are rare, and besides, the potential winnings are typically just a small percentage when betting on both teams with underdog moneyline odds.
714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are giving too much importance to exchanges on: July 04, 2023, 09:56:19 PM
~snip~
You don't need an exchange to buy Bitcoin. At least centralized ones like Binance. There are a lot of P2P exchanges.

You literally need an exchange to buy Bitcoin with another form of money. That's what an exchange is.

It can be centralized or decentralized, that doesn't matter. We will need exchanges in one way or another as long as most people get paid in fiat for their goods and services.
Besides, their participation and existence make help gain more attention and traders. In fact, this is also the reason why cryptocurrency becomes known globally due to ads that flooded the internet. Yes, without them, I couldn't think it will survive and even if we think about P2P transactions, I know they are also reliant on exchanges. These exchanges play an important role in the crypto space whether it was DEX or CEX, they are really making the crypto space alive.
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How big is your optimism for crypto investment? on: July 04, 2023, 09:29:34 PM
I have been involved in the crypto market for 6-7 years, and my optimism for crypto investments remains consistently high. Over these years, I have understood both bear and bull markets, which is why I have complete trust in crypto investments. Despite encountering various instances of fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD), the market has consistently overcome challenges and risen every time. I have no doubt that it will rise again this time as well. The survey you mentioned also reflects the same sentiment, showing that investors are highly optimistic about the crypto market.
That is how we were supposed to do - understand and adopt the situation because it was volatile.
Those who will be able to understand will remain strong and keep believing that it will rise from the dip and make a bullish again. That is why we are encouraged to hold when market crises come because it eventually changes later to avoid losses. Perhaps, we are looking forward that after halving next year, we are able to experience bullish moments again.
716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 04, 2023, 11:06:23 AM
Nope, Inoue already has established a good name and he has been mentioned by several boxing legends and some active boxers as well. Whoever Inoue is facing it will always going to generate a good money because the boxing fans would come to see Inoue's performance.

A boxer who have an excellent skill sets can be easily become popular that will attract boxing fans.
While he could generate a good amount of money, it doesn't compare to what he could make in the higher division. We can take a cue from the experience of Pacquiao. He was already popular in the lower division, but he didn't earn the same kind of money until he moved up to the higher division.
717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: July 04, 2023, 10:04:39 AM

And to think, maybe Moloney can indeed evade Donaire for good because there are other vacant belts that needs to be possessed and given the latter's situation, he might not last that long in the industry where he can fight Moloney and be the undisputed champion while there are no boxers that are much stronger than him.
That doesn't sound good; a champion evading his fellow champion gives the impression that he doesn't want to achieve the ultimate success of being the best of the best. If only champions were required for a unification fight, we would certainly witness an entertaining matchup. As it stands, Moloney can cherry-pick opponents to maintain his championship status.
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash is pumping, why? on: July 03, 2023, 09:40:00 PM
Just another normal day for a useless altcoin.  They get manipulated all the time to catch a quick pump.  I haven't tracked bcash for awhile funny to hear its stick kicking along.  Don't be fooled by it though it will dump just as hard as it pumps.  Nothing moves permanently until bitcoin starts moving.
It was highly suspected as manipulated pump but this have no impact on the market because people already know what will happen next. They're thinking that they could get investors by doing this just like how meme coins got much attention and massive buyers - and they fail their expectations. Yes, this project can't be trusted and how much it pumps these days, the more it drops. And the good thing is that nobody has the guts to participate in their doings, it tells us that they are learning already.
719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Let's find out which gambling game is the most played among our community... on: June 30, 2023, 12:26:34 PM
Sports betting is currently leading the way with 46% of the total votes. This is not surprising, though, as even in the real world, the sports betting industry is the biggest in terms of attracting bets from gamblers. Additionally, it is a type of gambling where many of us believe we have a chance to win in the long run, hoping to overcome the house edge.
720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 30, 2023, 11:55:17 AM
It's been a few days since I've been analyzing the negotiations/trades that are happening with several NBA teams, especially the last draft.

Wemby is one of the most commented and discussed player nowdays.
I even believe there is a hype.

I clearly remember the Holmgren's injury at the beginning of the last season

Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama are similar players, they are tall, they have good ball handling, they can shoot, they are fast players and they are also skinny and maybe even fragile compared to other NBA players.

Something that worries me is Wemby's body.
Guys, do you believe, Wemby could get injured soon because of his skinny body size?
I will just base on history with regards to 7 foot players in the NBA.

There are many 7 footers that played in the NBA, and not all of them have a long NBA career. Which 7 footer has the longest NBA career? If you know Zydraunas Ilgauskas of the Cavaliers. The old teammate of Lebron. He has the longest NBA career as a 7 footer with 13 seasons. Most of them had short NBA careers, and the main reason is injuries.

Now I'm not saying that Wemby, and Chet will have a short season, but I expect them to be injury prone especially Wemby if his body will stay like that. It's good that Holmgren at least gained weight, and his body frame is better now compare to what it was when he got drafted. For sure it will be the same for Wemby, or else he might be an injury prone player. We know how the pace of the NBA is. It's always very fast.

Wembanyama has been hyped by the media for months already, so I hope that he will reach the expectation of the NBA Fans especially those Spurs fans who have been very happy to get the number 1 pick in this year's draft.

Let's hope he will last. Actually, you forgot to mention Yao Ming, who played 9 seasons with the Houston Rockets but retired at the age of 30 due to injury problems. However, nowadays, medical advancements have made it easier for injuries to heal. What Wemby needs to work on is his conditioning, and I'm sure there are professionals who will take care of him to help him achieve his goals. So let's relax and allow him to enjoy his NBA career.
