281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Blockchain Games Revolutionize the Gaming Industry? on: January 09, 2024, 09:37:49 PM
We're not sure yet but it may be possible. The gaming projects have been hyped before and many gamers got crazy about them but the sudden collapse happened and we're not sure if gamers would still trust these new gaming projects anymore. They have to work hard in this just to gain attraction on the gamers and investors because that will affect the future of these projects and developers must know that it is hard to change the minds of the gamers/investors if they had a bad experience in the past. It should be more promising, not just a game.

Have you noticed the Eastern Division standings? 21-15 record from 4th to 8th place hehe. The playoffs is going to be more competitive in the East this season.

Wow! That's a tie. An Eastern conference that was boring before is not very exciting already. This starts when Durant transferred to the East and the Celtics gets better, also lost of teams in the East now gets better, so I can say that we are having a balance league now. Before, during the all star weekend, usually the West Wins as they have most of the individual talents and good teams.
283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: January 09, 2024, 12:07:55 PM
As expected, Inoue is set to defend his title against Luis Nery of Mexico. Just don't understand why the venue will be in Tokyo, Japan as Nery was banned from fighting in Japan due to cheating but I guess it has already been lifted (for confirmation).
I was expecting the same though. I thought it will be outside Japan due to the ban issue, but this confirmation eliminates the doubt that Nery is still ban. Good to see Inoue finally getting a good opponent, hopefully Nery would give Inoue some good challenge as he looks tough in that picture.

Still, I would favor Inoue to win, he is unbeatable I believe.

No odds yet but as usual, the Japanese Monster will be the heavy favorite on this fight.

https://www.boxingnews24.com/2024/01/the-monster-returns-inoue-vs-nery-clash-confirmed-for-may/

We have this (https://www.oddschecker.com/boxing/naoya-inoue-v-luis-nery/winner), not sure if it's official though, but Inoue is 1.10 heavy favorite in that.
284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you willing to bet $50 spin for a chance to win $42 million? on: January 08, 2024, 09:40:28 PM
If gambling was about luck, then I wouldn't be so brave, risking an amount of money that I couldn't afford to lose. Because everyone has different luck. and if this gambling is talking about a strategy, then I mention that there is no single strategy that can give me a guarantee that I will win that amount. I will only bet, on the amount that I am prepared to lose. 50 USD, for me it is quite a large amount of money, if I have to dedicate it to gambling. I'd better spend the money on more important things.
Gambling needs more luck and less strategy, that is what we know. But in the case of winning $42 million is a $50 spin, that guy is really lucky that time.
This would really attract gamblers and think that they can be soon an instant millionaire in gambling if they will continue --overspending will happen.  This will eventually happen for the gamblers who never realize that gambling is based more on luck and the chances are very slim. Even though $50 is just a small amount but if we keep doing this every day, that even costs more than the amount we could win, unless our luck comes too fast.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 08, 2024, 01:04:26 PM
Yes, that's true... I even dare to say that currently Lakers are an underrated team, but they could surprise everyone as i said before, I could even include the Warriors, but I believe that this NBA season the Lakers have a greater chance of making the playoffs than GSW.

They can really surprise everyone with their teamwork and they proved it against the Red Hot Clippers by beating them in a fair game. If only they could not lose some more games after this one, their chance to reach the NBA playoffs could rise, and Yes! they have a greater chance of making it than the current GSW today and now that CP3 is resting because of injury, they cannot get any more chances to win unless they will gonna come up with a working plan with their other bench player but as we know GSW dynasty on championship has already ended this season because of the way they are playing.

Warriors defense aren't working fine already, they even struggle to score sometimes, and when they take a good lead, they will easily give it up. They aren't the same warriors anymore, and missing Green is really a big problem since he used to be the guy that brings energy for the team and that's why the Warriors are playing with high confidence.

Also, we have to consider the age factor, the big 3 ( Thompson, Curry, and Green) aren't getting any younger anymore.

there you are , another member of the SCAM VICTIMS GANG of 1xbit  Grin Grin

I'm always wondering why after all our bumping of this scam thread yet there are still coming victim .

Most of the bitcointalk member's knew how 1XBIT operate and their scams but not with other people who found out about them through ads, affiliate offer, local agent in certain countries and else.
As we can see, most of the latest scam complains/accusations are all coming from newbie accounts
I have to admit that their marketing team does the job really well, they able to bring more and more new users into their platform trap.

They tried to come back here and hire campaign participants with red tagged but it didn't work out. However, I'm still impressed that they were able to run a campaign for a long period, more than months I guess, so they must have a decent budget with marketing. And yes, they are very active in different platform, specially in social medias where they hire vloggers who are into gambling related vlogs to promote their site. So we can't really expect that no one would get victimized despite a warning here as not everyone visits the forum, and not all who visits the forum visit the gambling section.

Don't get impressed for running that since they are targeting users which doesn't know their reputation that's why they don't care if they hired those red tagged users since they know that there are still newbies will come in this forum and they try to lure them. But they failed since maybe they really feel how big the damage they have done that's why they never succeed to scam a lot of forum users.

Although there are new cases still happen but for sure all of those can be avoided once there's still a lot of people will keep discussing about negative actions they done from the past and even now so that people could see it and decide not to gamble here.

I'm not impressed with their actions but I'm impressed that they have a lot of funds to spend for signature campaign despite knowing they have a bad reputation in the forum. So at the back of my mind, I was thinking that maybe they were very successful with other platform like youtube and facebook, the reason why they are still operating profitably.

Of course, I will not use the gambling site as I know anytime my money would be gone, but I can't help but say that they are really good in marketing. If only they were able to manage their reputation, they are probably one of the biggest casino now.

288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 05, 2024, 11:57:42 AM
I would've liked the Warriors if the handicap was a few points higher, given that Green is still suspended. Going for an obvious play and that's the Nuggets to cover the handicap since the Warriors recently struggled against weaker teams.

Everyone was probably betting on the Nuggets. More money was entering for the Nuggets bet as evidence by the line movement. Line opened at -2.5 now it's already at -4. However, I still like the Nuggets here since they were playing impressive basketball (X the blowout loss to OKC), they are 8-2 on their last 10 and they have a decent road record, same with the Warriors record on their home court.

Good luck bro!

Nuggets did not cover the handicap. When they are matched with the best teams, the Warriors can step up their game and nobody can take them for granted. I learned not to wager when they demolished the Boston Celtics last month.

But the Nuggets won by three. Nikola Jokic hits a buzzer from 40 feet behind. The pro Warriors audience was briefly taken in silence by their disbelief that the match just ended without overtime.

What an incredible match! The Warriors have missing members of the squad however they played well and took us by surprise.

That was unbelievable for Jokic, it was a shot that 90% will not went in, but it happen. It was a complete come back and it only happen in the 4th quarter, that's how dangerous the Nuggets are. And to the Warriors, they have in this situation many times that they take a good lead, a very comfortable lead but end up losing because they can't sustain their energy on the last quarter.

If that didn't go to OT, Nuggets will still likely to win as they already have the momentum, and there's also a chance that the spread will be covered.

Bettors of Nuggets was probably praying Jokic would miss.  Grin
289  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for January on: January 05, 2024, 11:37:57 AM
Not totally we are in the bullish state but this is an indication for somewhat we want to see - Bullrun.
This month may not reach far from $40k but still believe that the price of Bitcoin will not fall below that price if there is a correction. Of course, I don't expect early hype this year, we're just about to start and the halving is likely to have a huge impact on its trend.

$43k - $48k - is already a satisfying price for Bitcoin to see this January.
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you actually think a Bitcoin ETF will be accepted this month? on: January 04, 2024, 09:15:38 PM
We can't assure but never been hopeless for that to come. We have to give them time to study the situation as I believe they have a plan for it but yeah, if the SEC leaders are against Bitcoin, we could expect delays of approval or the worst is rejection.

That is why I'd never choose to think about it now and then as something will disappoint me. Better I hear the news about the date of approval rather than hearing "soon" because that is possible it never happened.
291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 04, 2024, 12:44:14 PM
The Lakers continue to play poorly. Although in LA Lakers there are many star players with super salaries and contract values every season.

I think it's not only for playing well on the court because they are also making huge money from others the way which means they don't get bothered about their game result as long as those players are wearing the Lakers uniform when playing. I wonder what happened after they won the season tournament because all goes downhill after that for them and it seems like they are losing focus and struggling too much just to win a game in their last 10th games.
No one sees it coming. I don't know, maybe they thought that what they are playing now is a different season and their success in the IST was the NBA Finals. haha. they must be dreaming. If only Lebron and AD will carry the team, this is very bad for the Lakers as it could lead possible to a possible injury of Davis if he'll be more aggressive and play more minutes.

They have to figure out now. Not sure what the problem is here, is it the players now or the coach?

They need to give more focus on their improvement and continue to look for another opportunity to fix their lineups because this is not how it should end for Lebron when he wanted to be recognized as the GOAT in the NBA.

Kobe didn't end well his remaining seasons in the NBA but he was still recognized as one of the best. And I don't think Lebron is better than Kobe, Kobe wasn't even declared as GOAT as there's only one who is, and that is MJ.
292  Economy / Gambling discussion / How do you see a gambling review website that has its own gambling website? on: January 04, 2024, 12:06:13 PM
I am asking this question because, for me, there could be a possible conflict of interest here.

As a review site running its own gambling site, there might be a concern that they could potentially undermine their competitors on their website to boost their own standing in the competition. This could involve making biased or false statements to praise their own website.

While I'm not certain if this is happening in the real world, it raises the question of whether you would trust a review website in such a case.
293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Know, But Can i Invest In Bitcoin? on: January 03, 2024, 09:22:46 PM

Should I invest money with the suggestion of that guy? He told me that if I invest I will get good profit. He said, he will open my bitcoin wallet and help to buy bitcoins. Should I invest in bitcoin?

Many people get scammed because of trusting strangers and based on your story, that was not far from happening.
@OP, you better stay with that guy and ask no help from him. You may appreciate how he helps you now but be careful, the next thing that may happen will be your nightmare.

There are a lot of tutorials about how to create a wallet address, you can make your own rather than letting someone (strangers) do it. Had to think that NOBODY should know your keys/password aside from you or else, the safety of your wallet be compromised.
294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I succeed as a trader in 2024 on: January 03, 2024, 01:34:20 PM
As we enter the 2024, many people are making plans on how to achieve financial success and personally I have decided that trading will be one of my area of focus. I'm gathering information on how to go about it. Your opinion will be highly appreciated.
Not a wrong choice but if you think this would give you financial freedom, then that kinda be a big struggle for you. I'm not going to disrupt your goal/plan but must have thought it through several times if possible because many traders haven't gone through to the finish line (success), and many had quit along the way. Why? Lack of knowledge and preparation as we can't underestimate the market volatility and if you think that trading is easy, then you are wrong. But as I've said, I don't stop you OP and I hope you'll succeed but in the case of failure, don't blame the market for that.

I would like to know if anyone has any further updates on Lonzo Ball's situation ? Is there an exact date for his return? Or are these just rumors?

There's no exact date for his return but definitely he is not gonna come back this season.

Positive update on knee
December 28, 2023
Ball (knee) is expected to return to running in January, Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune reports. "The pain that he was experiencing has been eliminated," head coach Billy Donovan said Thursday.
ANALYSIS
While Poe notes that the Bulls still don't expect Ball to return this season, this is nevertheless an encouraging development for the No. 2 overall pick of the 2017 NBA Draft, who hasn't played since midway through the 2021-22 campaign. Early in his career, Ball dealt with a handful of lower-body injuries, most notably a cartilage issue in his knee, which was addressed via a transplant procedure in March 2023. The plan is for Ball to accelerate his rehab within the next month, at which point the Bulls may have a better indication as to whether he'll be able to resume his NBA career. Back in October, Ball said at the Bulls' media day that he "definitely" plans to play again. The former UCLA standout has a $21.4 million player option for the 2024-25 season that he'll likely exercise this summer.

He will have more time to heal and get back on his old self if he will not force returning this season. Next season, we will see if Ball would return, and he will probably have to play with new some new teammate/s as Zach Lavine is likely to be traded.
296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Single or accumulation, which one do you prefer when it comes to sport betting on: January 03, 2024, 11:40:38 AM
I just wish to see people view about single bet and accumulated bet. Which one do you till can be profitable when it comes to gambling. Although I normally do the two but in most cases I prefer accumulated bet to single bet.

Single bet over accumulated bet or parlay. We are gambling with chances here and single bets have bigger chances of winning compared to accumulator.

Accumulator may look attractive mate but you have a very slim chance specially if you'll increase the parlay legged.

Here's a real picture of parlay and its chances.

297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Maybe future trade is gambling on: January 02, 2024, 09:47:07 PM

Now my question is futures trade is actually gambling? Or how did he lose all his dollars?
It was not gambling but he chose the wrong platform which caused their losses as they should not have chosen Futures Trading as they didn't have enough knowledge about trading. Unfortunately, with the influence of social media, many individuals have fallen into the wrong assumption that trading is the best way to earn money quickly, that is a big scam and lie coming from the mouth of these influencers as it never happens in real life.

In reality, Futures trading is not gambling but for some people, that can be like that. Trading with empty knowledge is even more than gambling IMO.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rollercoaster of emotions. How to deal with? on: January 02, 2024, 09:20:49 PM
Hey everyone, I've been grappling with a question lately and would love to get your thoughts. How much of my monthly income should I realistically invest in Bitcoin, considering the emotional rollercoaster of the crypto market?

Go for 1% of your net income, I think that is reasonable enough but if you can go for 5% that is even better.
Honestly, it is only you who could decide the amount to spend on this stuff but for me, 1% is good enough. Of course, we can think that amount is quite small but doing this consistently monthly that be soon big. That really matters in your income because even if you have a huge monthly or daily income, I don't encourage you to put everything on crypto, you know the risk for sure.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Pacquiao vs. Buakaw - April 20 on: January 02, 2024, 11:29:41 AM
There are a lot of what if in a athlete, Floyd is different that's why he hasn't lost but you can't say that to other fighters as well?

And maybe you can say that to other sports athlete let's say a NBA player who also earn a lot but after retiring, all their money is gone?

Honestly we don't know their real financial status, but if they are smart enough to use their popularity, they'll continue making money. Some celebrities are living a lavish life but they are making a lot of money as well, they continue to work to sustain their way of living, that's their life.

Here, I guess let's just focus on the upcoming fight, what I'm sure is this fight gonna give both fighters good paycheck, and people are gonna watch it because both are very popular, especially Manny who is a legend in boxing.
300  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will SEC delay on Spot ETF approval do to Bitcoin's price? on: January 01, 2024, 07:04:21 PM
I am not sure if all of us are aware of not as SEC has delayed their decisions on Spot ETF application but they were supposed to take the decision by now and will this delay cause any set back in price ? People were speculating that there would be a price drop before halving and that didn't happened due to ETF as it helped increasing the value and since it's been delayed now will it cause any impact for the Bitcoin price? if yes then how much would it be and will it be that way till halving?
Bitcoin ETF approval can be within January 7th to10th  but not guaranteed. The positive movement of the market has come so fast mainly due to the provable ETF approval. The Halving event is still a long way. If the market was bullish for Halving then the market would not have grown so fast. The main reason Bitcoin price is currently capped is the pending approval of Bitcoin ETF. As long as we don't get anything positive, we may not see the upside of Bitcoin. If the SEC don't approve ETF, the price of Bitcoin is likely to fall further.
Until now, there has been no clear announcement or declaration about it, probably it could be moved again (and again). Honestly, I was not hoping for it to get approval. In fact, I don't see it as a reason to help improve the price and stability of the market, I'm even more excited about the halving than this.

Does it fall? I don't think about it because the SEC is not a tool to drive the price of Bitcoin increases and it doesn't matter if we never get approval as the growth of crypto will continue. Just look on the market, it pumps right? and that will simply tell us that even without SEC approval, the bull season is still to come, not fall.
