261  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I become a professional trader? on: January 17, 2024, 08:03:37 PM
After searching various online platforms youtube twitter different places I realized that if I want to do cryptocurrency trading it is very important for me to learn many things first including -

  • Technical analysis
  • Fundamental analysis
  • Candle Analysis

Yeah, it is indeed a lot of things you need to learn before becoming a professional trader and that is the reason why only a few traders achieve it. But I will tell you that it is not just enough to learn those things you have mentioned, we will also need to be more patient and know how to respond in critical situations. Many traders fail because they are emotional, a kind of behavior that will make us down.

It was not too hard to learn trading but what made it so difficult was the actual trade which already involved decision-making. It is a big challenge for us if we are too emotional, a cause of usual mistakes ( wrong place of order, ruins the plan, etc).
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: January 17, 2024, 07:45:11 AM
That was on their 2nd fight, but it's the same on their first, Donaire was still aggressive.

You can argue with Kevin Iole if you want, not me.  Grin

You better go back to my earliest post. You were the one who reacted with exaggeration as if Donaire had the upper hand in their first match against Inoue. Donaire only won 3 or 4 rounds in the majority of the scorecards. But here you are referencing their second fight. Here's your joke:

Me: Hey, Fighter A failed to do this against Fighter B in their first fight.
Natalim: Man, what happened to you? You are wrong. Fighter A did that. Take a look at their second fight. Read this article about their second fight.
Me: Lol!  Grin

But anyway let's probably continue discussing sometime in the future after you've actually watched full fights and not just read articles written by content creators from far-away countries for somebody else.

Sorry OP for off-topic responses. I was just responding to a blind fanboy who was triggered by comments on what really happened.

Stay on the argument please. I just reacted with your post claiming that " you cannot remember Donaire fighting Inoue toe to toe". . I don't questioned who makes more punches or who had the upper hand in that fight FYI.

Don't call me blind please because you are also calling those posters who agree with me that Donaire fought Inoue toe to toe.

So these active posters are blind too?
that i could very well agree. in my opinion, donaire really did come close on this fight. he actually was the one who gave a very good fight to inoue.
Maybe he missed that fight and if he could just watch back the old clips of that match for sure he will be amazed of performance done by Donaire.
Yes, he broke Inoue's orbital bone that fight, in their first meeting. We can also say that in the second, Donaire tries to go toe to toe as well ....

or do you understand the meaning of toe to toe fight?

263  Economy / Speculation / Re: Signs you should know to take profit from your crypto investment on: January 16, 2024, 09:58:28 PM
I set a target - that should be the thing to do. Maybe having timing selling during ATH is perfect but that is hard to do knowing how volatile is crypto so it's best to have at least selling them a 50% increase and above is a good decision.

As I experienced in the past bull season, it gives me some learning that we have to feel some contentment. Yeah, earning more is good but we can be too greedy here in crypto, or else, we possibly miss the chance. And this is what happened in the 2017 bull run, some think more but the sudden drops come which I don't want to experience again.
264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing Bitcoin price history is important on: January 16, 2024, 09:33:13 PM
Knowing the history of Bitcoin will somehow be useful in making TA and at least, we know the market sentiment how it grows, and how the price of Bitcoin influences the entire market. It is a way to emphasize that the existence of Bitcoin doesn't gain attention right away but gradually improves until it gains such popularity. In fact, we do speculate usually based on past events and some do the calculation. We can't be good investors or traders unless we know the history of Bitcoin.

It was not just the price of Bitcoin we had to look for, but also its purpose and the reason for its creation.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: January 16, 2024, 11:32:16 AM
You only need to wake up and watch the fight objectively and without bias ,....

Ths is not the argument, but this!

I cannot remember Donaire fighting Inoue toe to toe.
Seriously man? Do you even know the meaning of toe to toe fight? No offense but let me take you to this article.

https://sports.yahoo.com/naoya-inoue-drops-nonito-donaire-twice-en-route-to-vicious-2nd-round-stoppage-125056195.html
Quote
Donaire, 39, chose to stand and fight a toe-to-toe battle with Inoue, pound-for-pound arguably the most vicious puncher in boxing. Inoue caught him with a right hand to the temple to drop Donaire in the waning seconds of the first.

That was on their 2nd fight, but it's the same on their first, Donaire was still aggressive.

You can argue with Kevin Iole if you want, not me.  Grin
266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 16, 2024, 11:08:15 AM
Utah Jazz defeated Indiana at home and continues its superb performance. Match score 132-105
Indiana could only show resistance in the last period.
With this win, Utah rose to 9th place. The next victim will be Golden State in two days.
They can't be stop, I don't know when their win streak will stop, but the way they are playing now where everyone are involved, their chemistry makes their unbeatable. Let's enjoy their good run currently, 9-1 in their last 10 games, that's not the old Jazz their.

I was just wondering, it was rumored that JC is already in the trading block, will Jazz pursue the trade considering their great run?

In the other match I was following, Los Angeles Lakers defeated Oklahoma on their home field. With a score of 112-105. The magnificent trio contributed well to the team in terms of scoring. (Lebron, Anthony, D'Angelo)
The match was competitive. The first half ended with a score of 50-50. The breaking point of the match was the 3rd period. When the Los Angeles Lakers opened the gap in the 3rd period, Oklahoma could not close the gap in the last period and the defeat was inevitable.

A much needed win by the LA Lakers, and OKC just showed their youth and inexperience, it's probably what we will see in the playoffs.
267  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can anyone be a Bitcoin speculation expert? on: January 15, 2024, 09:31:00 PM
Most people make price predictions based on the knowledge they have, so it is very possible that there will be differences in the prices they predict according to their knowledge about Bitcoin and no one has made predictions according to the prices that occur.
You are right, it would be better for us not to rely on other people's predictions regarding Bitcoin prices and it would be better to understand the market conditions ourselves.
Did you know that AI can predict prices more accurately than humans on bitcoin price predictions at the end of last year, I found a thread in the speculation board section that the AI review said the price of bitcoin would reach $45k by the end but humans said the $50k prediction was even the new ATH, so based on Your review is which prediction accuracy is right between AI and humans.
It was not the AI alone made such a prediction but the person who input information on its program. And I was sure that not all humans are predicting that Bitcoin will reach $50k. Well, it is not a big deal because no matter what we do, the price of Bitcoin remains unpredictable, sometimes we just get close, and most of the time we get far. So it is not necessary we have to become an expert in predicting the market as we just end up wrong instead, we'd rather help ourselves to understand the volatility of the market and a sudden change in its trend is inevitable.
268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Logic of some gamblers against math on: January 15, 2024, 12:23:30 PM

Based on my own experiences mate ,  better to stand from the table once you hit a good amount because trust me the longer to stayed there is the bigger you will lose again those amount , why not stand for a while and come back tomorrow that just trying to drain your luck? this is why many gamblers goes home a loser because of greediness.

When you mention a substantial amount, it's necessary to be specific. Without a defined target, you're akin to sailing a boat without direction. This aspect must be considered to ensure sustained profitability. Greediness often leads people to violate their own rules. For instance, $1000 may seem like a sufficient amount before the game, but during a winning streak, the desire for more might prompt you to take greater risks.

However, luck is transient, and there's a possibility of losing your winnings. This is when self-reflection becomes crucial, as losing control could become a reality.
269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: January 15, 2024, 11:21:59 AM
I cannot remember Donaire fighting Inoue toe to toe. Donaire is not a volume puncher. He is mostly a counter puncher who just waits for the perfect timing. Donaire doesn't release 4 or 5-punch combinations most of the time.

Man, what happened to you?  you missed the biggest fight in the career of Inoue, and that is his fight against Donaire, during their first meeting.

People say that if that fight happened during the prime of Donaire, Inoue could not last 12 rounds as he was badly hurt that fight, in fact he was injured that I believe requires him to undergo a surgery.

Here's the highlights of the fight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0L1vYJ43mg
270  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto scams flourish most during bull runs. on: January 12, 2024, 01:57:51 PM
I couldn't say YES but scammers have not stopped yet creating projects maybe if not every day. This is why every now and then we witness some investors suffer losses due to investing in scam projects as these scammers won't just come during a bull market but every day. Not to be surprised that the market has already been filled with these useless projects because the number of scammers is also increasing and at the same time, they are quite improving their dirty tactics which is why many newbies have fallen into their traps.
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 12, 2024, 12:39:38 PM
^^ A lot of good fights indeed for this year. But it's hard to argue though for Inoue winning that coveted Boxer of the year nod against Crawford. Even Haney had a good year as well but they give the award to the Japanese.

Inoue deserves to win that award as he make his opponents look amateur, he simply just dominate unlike Haney and Crawford whom their opponent are really fighting with confidence. Inoue's opponent doesn't fight like that, they are only after for the money (most probably) because when they are in the ring, all they can do is not to be careless so the fight will not end early, but eventually they still get KO in the end.
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: January 12, 2024, 11:49:34 AM
After the Fury - Joshua fight, Ngannou became the favorite in this fight based on the members' poll here, but on Fandurl sports book it's the other way around
Ngannou opened as a considerable underdog for this bout with +470 odds at FanDuel Sportsbook, while Joshua is a -550 favorite.
Anthony Joshua Vs. Francis Ngannou Boxing Fight Odds

I voted for Joshua to win by decision if it goes the distance but if we're talking about who's going to go down it's Joshua because between the two it is Ngannou who is the hard puncher and Ngannou can take a punch, compared to Joshua who's been down many times in the past, Ngannou chances is to knock Joshua out while Joshua's skill in boxing is better than Ngannou and this will save him.

Ngannou is a real deal. I mean,  he could punch hard and he is strong and could accept punches. The only problem I see here is if AJ have more quickness than Ngannou and AJ will use that against a newbie in boxing. With that, it would result to an easy win for AJ and Ngannou's hype will die.

We don't want to see that and we don't believe that, right? So I guess the poll says a lot about how sports bettors here felt about this fight, we can go big or go home here for Ngannou. GL!
273  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Step you have to take before venturing into the market on: January 11, 2024, 09:32:25 PM
Many investors or traders don't plan their exit points. It doesn't have to be an actual and full exit to the market but you set when you're going to take profits. Maybe you forget someday that you're here for taking profits in the market and because you're greedy enough, you are entirely doing the whole thing very wrongly. So, if these tips will make someone remember on how it should go for a trader, you need to set your points of getting in and out every time you plan to trade.
Having a plan and following the plan consistently will end up successful. Unfortunately, most of the traders do it in the wrong way as they enter trading with a lack of knowledge and preparations which is why a lot of traders fail and quit. But I don't see it as surprising knowing that not all are destined to become a trader since not all can't dare to face the risk and can dare to handle stress and market pressure. That is why before we venture into trading, we must be aware of how risky and stressful is this, or else, never try it because surely you can't follow the plan due to mixed emotions.
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather vs Pacquiao II on: January 11, 2024, 12:58:54 PM

I likewise see the Mayweather-Pacquiao as a cash grab. This is certainly not a match endorsed by the boxing alphabet that can merit them in the ranks. Furthermore, this is only an exhibition match. The Mike Tyson and Roy Jones match was also a cash grab. I adore these boxers and support their exhibitions, but there are no added career achievements but to make money.

What could else be the reason why this fight is triggered? Of course man, it's the money they'll cash after this fight. If Paul Brothers were able to sell their respective fights and earn millions, for sure Mayweather and Pac would not miss that opportunity to make easy money. Besides, they deserve this kind of reward because they reach an impressive success during their pro and now already line in the boxing hall of famers.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to check if an altcoin is a scam on: January 11, 2024, 12:04:42 PM
In my opinion, these checks are vital and necessary. Notwithstanding, new projects may be genuinely started with high prospects. But things may not go well as hoped for due to some circumstances.
New projects may not always bring high potential. Be careful before participating in new projects that can be scams. New projects must research different sites. All the information about who is managing the project can be found out and then it can be said as expected. New things may go well in the beginning but may also face tough challenges later on.
They are usually scams and fake projects which is why they just fail. A reason why we should have carefully checked the background of the project and have suspicion is because scammers are too clever and smart, they use known personalities to hide their identity. Extra caution must be practiced and avoid investing in projects promoted by influencers as they are known for such things - scams.

But the best thing to do is to just only invest in old projects, they have records and use cases that are enough to think about earning a profit.
276  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bull run begun ? on: January 10, 2024, 09:44:19 PM
With the current performance of Bitcoins, should we say that the Bitcoin bull run has begun or we should expect the real bull run  after the halving as usual.
The current market state is already bringing joy, is this a sort of trap or what could have led to the current positive market performance.

I do really think, sharing experience can help one learn and avoid the shock of greediness on investment. Tell us your view on bitcoins market performance recently

Well, I could understand if you think that the current pump is a trap as you are a newbie but for us who have been in crypto for several years and experienced bull season in the past years, I could we are on that way to the bull market. The current situation is an indication that we are leaving bear season and now on the bull season. Of course, we can't expect an instant price increase but a gradual movement seems to see. It was been speculated (and expected) that bull runs happen after halving and this is what happened in the previous years.
277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you ready for crypto investing in 2024? on: January 10, 2024, 01:41:52 PM
Always ready for that. My goal is to gain more profits this year compared last year so the only way to make it happen is to keep investing in bitcoin until I can see my goals gradually happening in time. Altcoins can also be profitable if you invest in the right and reliable coins, but it’s hard to tell if we are in the right coins since the altcoin market is the playground of scammers. Hence, sticking to bitcoin for now should be our first and primary goal.
I wish you good luck but if I were you, have your focus on Bitcoin alone if you feel unwise in choosing altcoins to invest in.
We can't rid of scammers but we can't avoid them by taking caution in choosing coins to invest in. But if we are too greedy and easily tempted to high rewards and quick profit investment, that is not a big surprise.

Indeed, preparedness is very important before making a step towards crypto. The first step will cause a huge impact and that somewhat also leads to the wrong direction.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: January 10, 2024, 11:51:10 AM
Dont think that Ngannou would ever return to UFC. UFC rarely pay a million to a fighter (but fighters get more than a million if we calculate payment+ppv sales+victory bonus+sponsors). Here, from the start he got 10 times more he was earning in UFC. Now, as he has a place in board in PFL, media, fame, he dont really need to fight in mma to earn the same amount he earned in UFC.

This is a sign that he will not return anymore, his performance against Fury that created some controversy as some believe that Fury did not win had already made Ngannou an instant celebrity in boxing. So for sure he will stay here, he might not dominate but in terms of paycheck, he is making like a boxing superstar is making, at an entry level.
279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Breaking! Bitcoin ETF approved by SEC. on: January 09, 2024, 09:57:24 PM
Wow finally, this is good news for all Bitcoin investors as all we have been anticipating are coming to reality gradually, the approval of spot Bitcoin ETF is yet another milestone achievement for Bitcoin investors and now that Bitcoin have gain recognition by international standard authority, I think it will enhance more security awareness within the ecosystem and possibly grant investors access to tokens without buying the currency.

Though with the current controversy that surrounds the announcement it seems there is something fishy but however within some few days we will get to know the real story definitely.
It is not good news mate, it is fake news, and the SEC has not approved it yet as the said person announced already that was not true. This news confuses a lot of people especially if they don't follow the trend. In this situation, I'm not sure if this will help the approval rate or if something holds. But it doesn't matter because even without ETF approval, Bitcoin still exists and growing. Well, ETF approval seems it helps to gain more trust but not the sole reason why people are here and are investing in Bitcoin. Yes, let us wait for the next update and we'd hope for the positive over the bad incidents.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Blockchain Games Revolutionize the Gaming Industry? on: January 09, 2024, 09:37:49 PM
We're not sure yet but it may be possible. The gaming projects have been hyped before and many gamers got crazy about them but the sudden collapse happened and we're not sure if gamers would still trust these new gaming projects anymore. They have to work hard in this just to gain attraction on the gamers and investors because that will affect the future of these projects and developers must know that it is hard to change the minds of the gamers/investors if they had a bad experience in the past. It should be more promising, not just a game.
