821  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can copy trading be profitable on: May 19, 2023, 01:10:43 PM
I haven't tried copy trading, but that is possible, but it is not stable. You can earn that amount on this day, but tomorrow you lose the same amount. Also, the trader you'll copy should have a good track record. Still, I don't recommend copy trading because you don't have control over trades; you only have control over your funds, and you also don't know why the trades took place. It is better to do it your own way because we don't know when traders in the future will be gone.
Just like any trading strategy, copy trading never works perfectly or something to say it was really efficient in earning a profit. Because the market is absolutely unpredictable and also it depends on the trader.
I have tried copy trading in the past but later on, I quit and make my one strategy because I was not really comfortable always relying on others when we can do it the same or even better. Well, I would say copy trading is good for newbies but I won't suggest just staying there otherwise, our success is limited.
822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 19, 2023, 12:04:21 PM
I know, Haney is boring, but I don't know, if you guys heard him in interview, he sounded like Floyd Mayweather to me? Is he copying Floyd up to the way he spoke and that stutter? or it is just me?

I'm intrigued by what you said so I watched the recent interview on both boxers but for me, he sounded different from Floyd hehe or it's just that people from Vegas spoke, Mayweather is from Las Vegas right, correct me if I'm wrong.

But there might also be a chance that Haney is trying to emulate Floyd, trying to be the villain in a match to sell more tickets as we know that he is not a PPV kind of boxer, boring as they say. If only Loma is not his opponent, this could not be a blockbuster fight I think.

Loma is an entertaining fighter, so even if Haney is quite boring, people would still watch the fight. Haney is still in the early stage of his popularity, and although he is a boring fighter, if he continues to defeat popular boxers like Loma, then most probably he'll earn big paychecks in the future. This fight is not going to be a one-sided fight for sure, but the edge here is on Haney because he is younger and quicker, while some say Loma has already passed his prime.
823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 19, 2023, 11:07:12 AM
Jamal Murray is another player as soon as April starts and its not his first year when he goes in beast month after April and during April. Coincidence ? maybe or maybe not but last night Denver really played way better than Lakers and I'm afraid this series is already over. I also saw a tired Lebron that had low energy in  2nd half and also missed some important points.

What do you think guys ? Can Lakers tie this series at 2-2 ? or Denver will make it 3-0

If the Phoenix Suns can even up a 2-0 deficit against Denver Nuggets, I have no absolute reason to believe that the Lakers can't do the same, but the for Denver Nuggets, it's gotta be case of once beaten twice shy, now they need to get one win on the road, then this series would be likely done and over with from there.
I'm confident it could occur since LeBron has experienced this scenario repeatedly. However, if you're betting on the Denver Nuggets, you're likely feeling quite positive right now since the Lakers still need to win two games to tie the series. Regarding betting odds, the Nuggets' odds are already quite low, making the Lakers' odds highly appealing.

Now that the series is headed back to Los Angeles, the major thing the Denver Nuggets needs to avoid is allowing the Lakers get to the free throw with relative ease, Lakers have more free throw attempt in the first two but the differences weren't so significant, but it's likely going to be a whole new different affair in LA, the Nuggets must ensure they attack the rim and get the at least the around the same number of free throws unlike the Warriors taking bad shots and sending the Lakers to line at almost every possession.

When it comes to free throws, the Lakers only had numerous attempts because the Warriors are relatively undersized. This allowed the Lakers to exploit the paint. However, with the Nuggets, it's not as straightforward. The Nuggets have Jokic in the post and their lineup is significantly taller compared to the Warriors.
824  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to maintain profitability in crypto trading on: May 18, 2023, 01:13:24 PM
The higher the amount of capital that can be trained, the higher the profit. Not only increasing the capital is more likely to be profitable, we also need to do enough research about the market to determine the best time to invest. If we buy tokens at the wrong time with too much capital, we are more likely to lose than gain.

Increasing capital binds also with high risk. What I mean is that it was great to increase our capital but it should be on a certain level and must not go beyond that level. I would tell you that we can't be greedy in trading and we should not be because this is the main reason why many traders had failed their journey here and quit.

Because for me and based on my experience, capital doesn't make you earn more but it was you how to outplay every trade you've made - it means "how effective are your strategies".
825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 18, 2023, 11:46:54 AM
Butler is really unstoppable recently. He had another marvelous game against Boston Celtics in the first leg of the semi finals with 35 points. Tatum had a really decent game with 30 points maybe but it wasn't enough to prevent Miami Heat from winning the game. Even the odds were highly favouring Celtics for this one so congratulations to the people who still bet on Heat.
Heat is the right play now I beleive if we are talking of the series betting. If the trend will continue, heat has a huge chance of winning.

How often does the winner of Game 1 win an NBA playoff series?
Historically, Game 1 plays a major factor in determining the winner of a series.

Of all best-of-seven series in NBA playoff history through 2021, the winner of Game 1 went on to win the series 75.6% of the time (433-140).
source : https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/warriors/how-important-game-1-deciding-nba-playoff-series

I was expecting many people to bet on Heat anyway because they have been one of the surprising teams of the playoffs considering their regular season performance. I'm not sure if they can win this series as well but even if they don't this effort deserves appreciation.

With the large handicap spread, I'm sure a lot of people bet on the Heat, and they are likely celebrating now. Additionally, the moneyline odds are very enticing, so if they also placed some bets on the ML, that's even more potential winnings for them.
826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 18, 2023, 11:23:07 AM
Playoffs Jimmy Butler was at it again, and today it was against the Boston Celtics, the team that eliminated the Heat last, in the finals, so taking game one at the TD Garden is quite very advantageous to the Heat, If the Heat can defend their home court and get the 2 wins they'll play on home court, then that be theirs first step towards the regardless of what happens in the conference final, I definitely they'd stand more than a decent chance against either of them, if they can see off the Boston Celtics, but it's rather just too early to make any form of concrete assertions.

Cheat mode activated with playoff Butler, taking control in the 2nd half we witness how he really influenced his teammates. I like the
way he takes charge as he's finding the right plays, either taking a shot or passing the ball.

Though not just him but the whole squad, they are all bringing everything to win the game. Boston needs the right adjustments not to allow Jimmy
to take that control.

His passing skills are exceptional. I like Butler because he does not force the issue. In Game 1, we again witnessed the long pass from Kevin Love that led to an easy 2 points. There are a lot of things that the Celtics will have to keep in mind when they are playing the Heat, as they are very unpredictable. If they cannot attack inside, they will shoot outside, and their shooting percentage is quite high.

Quote
Too early to conclude these series, Boston still has the winning chance as we also know them in terms of good adjustments.

I agree with you because, until now, they are still the favorites to win. However, if they lose in Game 2, then I guess it might be over for them.

Well, the best thing to do is not rush into investing but rather and must spend more time doing research. I agree that those points seem to give us an idea of which project is good for investment but we should not also be confident that it all be safe, especially for new projects.
Their market performance is the metric that I use to assess a particular project. Seeing them improve and fewer corrections during the market crisis, it is likely to tell us that this project will survive and has the huge potential to grow year from now.
828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I believe that Bitcoin will make me independent on: May 17, 2023, 09:45:24 PM
With your Bitcoin investments, it might not be a lot but it is better than nothing, and it will surely give you something if the price goes too high in the future, so you should keep holding. Also, regarding jobs, maybe you should try and do freelancing which you can do on your laptop and your health conditions won't be an issue for that and you will earn some money too in your free time.
I agree with that, even in small amounts at least he makes things that he never regrets in the future but certainly give him a fortune. If he consistently grows his investment monthly, it becomes more significant.
Actually, it was not necessary to start with a huge amount, what is important is that we see this thing as an opportunity that most people never see it. Well, at least he has a reason for doing this, unlike others who are just influenced by influencers but then leave because they never understand the market behavior.
829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 17, 2023, 11:14:56 AM
I didn’t feel like it was a one sided game. The Nuggets had the lead the whole game but they never got too far out of reach. LeBron even had a chance to tie it with a 3 late in the fourth. Both teams shot excellent from the field. It was a great game to watch. It had everything you’d expect. The big difference in the game was rebounds. The Lakers need to step it up on the boards. They can’t be outrebounded by nearly 20 and win.

Thought earlier that its one sided game but lakers slowly eating the lead until they make the lead of Nuggets to single digit. But they caught off guarded as the time nearly ends since if they could just sustain that energy on early part of the gane well maybe they will not get dominated by Nuggets on game 1. But for sure they learn a lot from thus so they need to be more aggressive and exert more effort on defense since provably they can take the win on game 2.
.

It's really hard to sustain that kind of comeback though, yeah, they cut the lead into single digits, and as low as 5 points if I'm not mistaken.
They were only down by 3 points at one point.

But it just took one mistake on the Lakers side and then the Nuggets capitalizing on it.

Yes, it was a game between Jokic and Davis, but Murray has a good game and that fast hands to tap the ball and steal the ball from James, that was one hell of a defensive play for him and I think that its the crucial play of the game for the Nuggets.

But the coaching staff needs to address their defensive mistake. Putting Murray to defend against LeBron was a wrong decision, as LeBron could easily dominate that matchup and drive the ball inside without much resistance. Murray is the team's best scorer, perhaps next to Jokic, and if he gets tired from trying to stop LeBron, his production might decrease. In my opinion, it should always be Gordon guarding LeBron.

Here is my pick.
Denver Nuggets - Los Angeles Lakers‍ - Denver Nuggets (-6.5) @1.94
Over 220.5 @1.77 Good luck everyone.
This is like good bet but home games was likely nothing right now with most of the remaining teams, so my bet was for L.A. Lakers (+7.5) @1.81 and Under 223.5 @1.85. My bad for countering your picked bet though haha, I just like how it will play since this is Conference Finals and I think defense will be the key factor now for Lakers or both team.
Then we are both 1 of 2.  Grin
The Lakers did a great job at their comeback in the 2nd half. The Nuggets could've ended it with a blowout game but they got careless defensively and let the Lakers make some short run that but the lead into as low as 3 points.
Thankfully, the Nuggets played well at the last minute of the game and secured their win. But, my spread was not covered. I thought Reaves was fouling Murray at the last possession but they didn't find the energy to whistle.  Grin

Good job for the ones who didn't get greedy and took only the -5.5 Nuggets and then over 220.5. That is sure a hit for todays match. Let's see in Game 2 on how the Lakers will adjust after that bad performance in the 1st half.

The Lakers' offense clicked in the second half. We can't consider defense as the problem here, as we know the Nuggets aren't focused on the defensive end. They prefer to move the ball around and find the open man for shots.

In the first half, the Nuggets' three-point shooting was very efficient, and Jokic also had a great first half. However, in the second half, the Lakers had a consistent mini-run that lasted until the fourth quarter. The Nuggets almost had a big regret, but fortunately, they made some excellent decisions down the stretch.

Bounty hunter is considered as investors with a big patience.
I actually laughed when the OP used this comparison when talking about hunters, although I don't think much of a hunter-related investment in this environment, I fully admit the bounty environment is getting worse and worse. quality and not many projects are really right about the value and the way they build the project. Maybe now there are many different approaches to project dissemination, but in general, hunters are the ones who always suffer more when they accept to participate in poor quality projects, Sometimes I'm also curious to see if the number of people willing to spend money to invest in projects where they participate in airdrop, bounty, testnet,... are really many.
Well, I have to agree with that but nobody has pushed them to join in airdrops and bounty hunting, it was their will to do it.
I would say that they are more than an investor, they are sometimes hopeless from their shitcoins holding them without any assurance that it give them returns after a long time of waiting. If they got lucky they will get more and easy money but unfortunately, most of the time they never get what it deserves from them in promoting projects which in the end it fail then and give nothing to the hunters.
832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 16, 2023, 12:14:00 PM
Stephen A Smith has reported just what I suspected about Suns coach Monty Williams… He said that DeAndre Ayton “Got Monty Williams fired.” After two straight years ending with Ayton seemingly not playing because of disagreements with the coach I think the GM probably wishes he’d handled the problem last year.

I think both have issues that are not beneficial to the team. Ayton is not on the same level as Durant and LeBron, so even if the rumors are correct that he got his coach fired, I believe it wouldn't be wise for the Suns to keep him. Perhaps they can consider trading him and acquiring big men who are truly hungry to win a championship.

When there are internal problems within a team, it can significantly affect chemistry and result in failure. This chemistry issue may have also affected the Warriors, as Jordan Poole didn't perform at his usual level in the series against the Lakers.

I'll go with danherbias07 because I believe that the Lakers are currently receiving a lot of hype, and bettors will certainly take the handicap. Since this is the first game, the home team might start strong while the Lakers struggle to make adjustments. Therefore, I think the Nuggets might win game 1 in a blowout, and game 2 will be a close contest.

Good day to you all, I am new here and I will like to get your advice, apart from bitcoin,do you think that there is a high possibilities of making profit from other altcoins. Also which wallet do you advise a newbie like me to use to store my coins. Are exchanges wallet an open source wallet. How can I differentiate an open source wallet from a close source wallet.
I would say 'YES". However, it doesn't mean that if you have to buy altcoins today you can then earn a profit by tomorrow. I tell you that we can't just buy any altcoins but have to choose coins that are really profitable. Because a lot of altcoins in the market and many of them are worthless and shitcoins, and must avoid them.

And talking about a wallet where to keep your coins, well, I would say not to use an exchange wallet. Many issues about losing their coins, so it was not advisable especially if we hold long-term.
835  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of bitcoin is not rising soon!. on: May 15, 2023, 09:30:49 PM
If we look at the price chart, it will be seen that the increase has been very slow, only a few times a year the price can increase by more than 10% in a day, and March is the first record this year because prices can increase by more than 20% in a day. of course this is a good consideration for us if we want to invest in bitcoin and don't ever think of getting rich immediately after buying bitcoin.
Actually everyone wants to be rich by what they do in this world, but if buying Bitcoins is just to trade the market, obviously there is no need to think about getting rich in the near future because it always takes time for everyone in terms of the process. But if those who buy and keep it as a long-term future investment, I think they are more worthy of becoming rich after being patient for a long time, although this is also not without luck.
People wanted to become rich but only a few people are also willing to hold long-term while the majority got influenced by FUDs and emotions.
Well, I would admit I'm not like those people who hold for many years but I'm not also like those people who think I'll become rich from investing in Bitcoin because I was already contented with what I get from them. I would say it was just a small profit but I can't afford to risk and hold more because even though we think that Bitcoin has a bright future, still it never gives us 100% assurance that it stay valuable forever.
836  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is buying BTC now, the best option ??? on: May 12, 2023, 11:00:44 AM
I think buying at any time has the same potential and opportunity for profit, the main key after buying is not to panic when you see the market situation, it's better to keep it in a private wallet and make bitcoin a long-term investment so that the opportunity for profit is greater than we are tired of monitoring daily prices.
This is it and that is what HODLERS tend to act and yes they are making money from this , there is no need in waiting when you can afford to invest the very moment you have funds and willingness.
the problem about those they called themselves "Investors" are only here to buy and sell instantly with big profit.
i hate seeing people that look at the market to be a bread and butter but not willing to risk.
they should invest in Shitcoin and not in Bitcoin .
But I say not, more chances to earn more if you buy at a cheap price compared to buying during the recovery.
I'd never say there is perfect timing in accumulating Bitcoin but one must know the reality that long-term investors usually take their opportunity to buy more BTC during the bear season, hold, and then sell until during peak. Such a strategy is really working efficiently granting huge profit awaits them.
But unfortunately, some people only got the courage when the price is increasing, something I would say they miss a great opportunity.
837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10k investment on: May 12, 2023, 06:11:53 AM
xrp and cardano are not bad altcoins, I think they are suitable for investing, especially since they are still at the top of the coinmarketcap ranking. but if it's just the two altcoins I don't think it's complete, considering that there are still ethereun and also bnb which are altcoins with great potential today and for the future. on the other hand I will add polygons to complete the diversification of my investment, considering that polygons are growing and more and more are using the network
These coins are not looking good at all, you can't rely on a profit from them. I have had these coins before and too bad to say that I really in regret buying them after almost 2 years of holding, I can't say it was worth enough. From now on, I was hesitant not to just consider those coins among the top coins but to see their performance as well. Because many projects are even worthy than these coins (XRP and ADA), and they are more profitable.
838  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin trading be my sole source of income? on: May 12, 2023, 05:37:24 AM
Yes it is possible for depending solemnly only on bitcoin trading for a living. Bitcoin trading is a whole time business in which people can be engaged. But you don't have to resign from your government job. Since trading can be done at anytime and anywhere therefore you do your trading even in the office in your working place so there is no limit for that. There are many people that are here that doing the same thing here.

Working from 8 m-5pm and doing trading after getting home for at least 2-3 hours, well, that is pretty enough. Because trading doesn't require a whole day facing on the computer and even if you are a full-time trader, nobody is doing that for sure. It is really all about managing our time properly and if we can get on the schedule. But I see it was not the main concern here, what I'm trying to say is that we need financial assurance which is why it was hard to leave our job just for trading. Maybe we can do this in the future when we already have enough savings.
839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 12, 2023, 03:20:28 AM
Jason Tatum became the hero of the 4th quarter to steal one on the road, and extend the series to a Game 7 on their home.
After being miserable in the first 3 quarters scoring only 1 point, he scored 18 points in the 4th quarter, and he scored 13 in the 14-1 run in the final minutes of the game to win on the road 95-86.

The Celtics lead most of the game with the highest lead of 16 in the 2nd quarter, but the Sixers cut it in the 3rd quarter, and got the lead in the 3rd, and 4th. It was a see-saw battle until Tatum's threes. Points on the Celtics has been spread, and it's unusual to see a low scoring game like this coming from the Celtics who is one of the top in terms of three-point attempts. Anyway, they forced a Game 7 on their home. It's a do-or- die for both teams. Sixer fans out there are frustrated and disappointed on what they saw. Harden, Embiid, and Maxey played more than 40 minutes, but it wasn't enough for them to close the series.

You are right, Tatum's performance in the last quarter was special.
Though, his performance in the first 3 was far from that.

Anyway, this series is really good going back and forth. I thought after losing yet another game at home this would be it for Boston but I was very wrong. Bringing the series back to Boston for game 7 is great for the fans, but bad for Philly. This was their chance. I don't see Boston giving up another home loss in this one.

But since they got them MVP we never know what to expect. Maybe they can pull off another upset. I would prefer Boston though, personally not a Fan of Embiid and Harden.
That's cool.
I prefer the Philadelphia 76ers to win this series. It will be at Boston so it will not be an easy mission for them but I'd like to see them having a chance at the championship. Something new. Especially James Harden who had experienced that height of the game and I bet he will be forcing anything just to return to the Finals.

Jayson Tatum really did a great job today. Huge 4 clutch 3-pointers to put the gap where it cannot be reached anymore. 76ers fans were stunned by what happened and it's not that their players are in bad shape, the Celtics were just better offensively.
Game 7. I won't miss that game as there will probably be a lot of heat that will happen.
Although the Celtics will once again have the homecourt advantage in this game, I will take the 50/50 chances and bet on the underdog. Instead of betting on the moneyline odds, I will opt for the handicap to be on the safer side. If this turns out to be a low-scoring game, I anticipate it being a close contest, giving the 76ers a significant chance of covering the spread.

As this is the last game, both teams will certainly give everything they have.

At the moment, I'm hoping that the Lakers vs. Warriors series will be the same as the 76ers vs Celtics series.

Denver Nuggets currently dominating the Suns, not a good sight but with their 2 stars KD and Booker, 20 point lead will just take 1 quarter to go back so the Nuggets cannot stay relaxed yet.

No way the Suns will still be able to come back from this huge deficit. No CP3 and Ayton, Suns are done.
840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Confident Are you With Altcoin In This Time on: May 11, 2023, 01:22:44 PM
Based on the performance of altcoins in this season, I have 100% that the price of altcoins will pump massively before the end of this year to allow long term investors to experience favour from their investment. Since the price of Ethereum and binance has increased higher few months ago showed that there will be enough income to achieve any moment from now, because the price of Ethereum will hit $2000 to maintain the second position among other cryptocurrencies. I think, I will still invest in altcoins so that I will have full confidence of making a good profits from Ethereum and binance when the price increase higher to my satisfaction in the market.
I couldn't agree with that - unless the market went bullish but that is somewhat impossible to happen. It is to remind us that the market is unpredictable but having those previous years' events will give us some insights into when the bull season comes and we have the idea that ATH comes after halving. Though I can't say I was right as it remains a prediction something I was not going to believe that massive comes this year, in fact, the price of Bitcoin is increasing low and so are these altcoins.
