101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: About mining ETH and holding BTC on: April 20, 2022, 10:42:46 PM
Does it make sense to mine ETH and get paid in BTC? Any advantage to value here? Something that the Nicehash platform has to offer, Is anyone still using this platform?

Also, Nicehash introduce a NiceX swap platform, they promised the lowest exchange fee but I haven't used it, I just want to know if anyone is using this platform swap engine, anyone?

I have used Nicehash when I was still exploring on mining and the best experience they gave me is it automatically mines the best coin in real time and pays you in BTC. I am mining on a pool right now and whenever the payout limit is reached it directly sends to my local wallet which saves me extra hassle, and it leaves me the choice to either hold it or convert it to our local currency.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My Gigabyte mobo acting up on: April 20, 2022, 09:42:09 PM
My motherboard won't work with mixed graphic cards, if you add AMD GPU with Nvidia GPU the motherboard will start behaving abnormalities, boots and shut downs, boot and reboots, long time to boot on, all this stuffs but if I use 1-6 sets of the same graphic cards it will work perfectly, I've never seen anything like it.

Mine works fine, I have a combined AMD and Nvdia GPUS mining together. I've put my Nvidia first and boot it, after that I shut it down and put the cards one by one, boot and reboot. Try it first with 2 cards, a single Nvdia and a single AMD.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty is taking another direction on: April 20, 2022, 08:36:49 PM
The term 'BOUNTY' refers to as a reward for some specific act, especially one given by an authority or a government. But this definition is taking another dimension because most of the project owner or BMs don't really care enough about bounty hunters reward(s). To participate in bounty now is good as wasting your time. How on earth can someone earn $1-2 for working at least five days each week in a month? Does that sound good to you? This is incredible! Something has to be done about this before bounty turn to scam in it entirety. What's your view, opinion and suggestions on this?

Seriously, even you have managed to gain coins with bounty right now of a weeks worth, it wouldn't even be enough to cover the gas worth. Better you go for faucets than Bounty Hunting. I wonder why it is still available despite the fact that it isn't worth the time spending anymore.
104  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: April 20, 2022, 07:43:43 PM
I made a topic 4 years ago that asked if casino site owners and operators were interested in integrating/implementing the Lightning Network for their service. It had just three replies, and two were mine. Hahaha.

I want to ask again, and this time to the users. Will you use the Lightning Network if available? Or will you continue to use whichever altcoin you're currently using?

Which ever is offering the lowest fees, I can wait and it doesn't matter even it takes three days to receive my money as long as I know it will come. As of now I am using Bitcoin and eth for withdrawing and nothing else.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A new warning for iPhone and Apple product users on: April 20, 2022, 12:29:06 PM
Are there any similar case for android users? This should be  at the top of discussion, most users are android and installed Metamask on their phones. Oh my, I was planning to buy an Iphone, icloud is a very nice features especially when you've lost your apple gadget. I wouldn't dare to turn it off, I was using iphone way back before I entered crypto but I am not aware of this until now.
106  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S. links North Korean hacker group to $600 million crypto theft on: April 19, 2022, 09:33:49 PM
Saw that on the news and I'm not gonna say if I believe the thefts were from North Korea or not because we cannot be sure about it even if we have the IP range of the theft group from North Korea there is still a possibility to say some scammer is doing this to stay untracked while the governments and organizations are pointing to North Korea due to bad name they have, but still considering the relations between North Korea and the USA that's not surprising to see us governments saying such thing, true or not.

So true, all the hackings would be pin pointed to NK after this. There is no solid proof and all are just theories. However the story would be different if NK would admit it and tell the world which is never gonna happen.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICO tracking site are you following? on: April 18, 2022, 08:21:00 PM
You have the answer mate, ICO is no more and you are asking about ICO tracking websites? I don't use them since many are scam projects I just hunt for new projects using coinsniper, too much of shit tokens this days so be careful out there, make sure you look deep into projects by doing your own research.

As far as I know they've changed the name to IDO, IPO and so on, however the process is the same and that is to raise funds. Now at this time of moment, I don't know what they call it anymore as I was aware of them back when I was active at bounty hunting. Well times flies pass and I my self wanted to look for something like what OP is trying to find.
108  Economy / Economics / Re: Sri Lanka defaults on its $51 billion external debt on: April 18, 2022, 03:08:28 PM

Most countries should be able to survive and run themselves well without taking on debt as they'll have economies to fall back on. Sri Lanka is quite good at producing and extracting raw materials afaik so they've likely still got that part of their economy they can keep running to help build themselves back.

Name the best countries that produces raw materials and exporters in world, it doesn't matter how many they make as long as the leaders of their country is a person of self interest only-those numbers won't still suffice. These folks are sold to their foreign investors and little they know their country lies beneath at their feet. I hope it won't happen in my own land, good thing there are some sane leaders in here and puts first the interest of the nation and it's people.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounties dead? on: April 17, 2022, 03:20:07 PM
Personally, I can say that practically nothing has changed, as it was in the 2018 bounty, and in 2022 the bounty is no different. As there were a large number of fake projects, so many fake projects remain. But there are also good promising projects. Where the participants receive the earned profit. So I think that bounties in the future will develop and bring a lot of benefits.

I don't see it coming, good days are over for bounty hunters. I was one back the days but now I lost sight of it because of many failure projects that I have engage in. So better to look for a productive work of that time than trying to make a fortune out of bounties. Unless you are okay with coins that are worth pennies.
110  Other / Archival / Re: Do you see ETH @ $10k? on: April 17, 2022, 01:46:49 PM

I am not into NFT but I am hoping the price of Ethereum will be even more than what you are predicting. If the POS takes place this year, it could lead to new ATH of eth, but if it doesn't it'll just be another normal days for eth.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy concern for bitcoin users on: April 17, 2022, 11:11:45 AM
If you are concerned about privacy, just use DEX but what they are asking for is no different from what a bank asks for when you go to open an account. They have to know the origin of the funds you are going to put in because of anti-money laundering policies, which I don't think is so much a question of them as of government regulation, as has been said:

This is not exchange, it's the government that is demanding a lot of these things to be fulfilled...

The government policies are to be followed unless we go fully outlaws leaving us wanted in their eyes. It is normal for them to ask where did the money came from especially when the sum is huge. I've already passed my KYC on my local wallet years ago and I never had any troubles withdrawing funds. I could get 8k USD max in a day for withdrawals which I have never tried before. DEX are somewhat old school and the features are limited, Binance , there are only 3 exchanges I mainly used, Binance, Bittrex, Kucion. The rest are just back ups and for other purposes only. There is no much to offer when you use DEX and I have a bad experienced about it so I don't use it anymore.
112  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and investment on: April 16, 2022, 11:18:14 PM
We all know that almost the entire world is currently experiencing variable inflation, and my country is no exception. Almost all goods prices have gone up, financial stability has been disrupted and most of us have had to incur additional costs to pay our bills due to rising tariffs and taxes.

At the same time I am still thinking about investing even though I am really having a hard time achieving financial stability at the moment. If previously I could save 50% of my total income for investment then for now only 25% seems difficult. If you are also experiencing this condition, then I have a few questions to answer.

  • Will you continue to invest even if it is only 10%-20% of your total monthly income?
  • How do you achieve financial stability during this inflation?

Share some of your thoughts, I think it would be good to consider especially as long as this kind of condition persists for a long time.

Really bro, gaining 10-20 percent of income on a monthly basis is golden opportunity in my situation. It is sure money rather than doing nothing, stagnant money on banks gets you nowhere, I'd put them where they would gain some.
I describe myself being stable in a way all of that 20 percent income goes to untouched, bills paid and things I need are bought. If those incomes is intact, I would prefer them to added as a capital and gain more.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ADA had a potential like Ethereum on: April 16, 2022, 10:15:18 PM
Currently many projects are incorporated in the ADA network system and while Defi and NFT are growing rapidly in Crypto so the ADA network is one of the platforms that provides a good space, however the price on ADA has peaked last year and now the price has fallen so deep that if we want to buy coins maybe now is the right time because the price has fallen quite deep. And speaking of Ethereum-like potential, it looks like ADA isn't ready to compete with Ethereum yet.

I wouldn't dare go invest on ADA anymore, I have waited for almost 4 years and all I got was a 30 percent lost. I did not know what to do with it anymore so I have converted it to Bitcoin rather than any other coins. Good thing I was able to get a 70 percent of my initial buy. If it was as they say, potentially in comparable with eth, how come it isn't worth the price like it should be. Well it is thousands of dollars worth each while ADA is lurking around a dollar and hardly moving on.

What is Blockchain Gaming?

Blockchain games are games that allow players to monetize games and have full ownership of their game items using the same technology as Bitcoin or Ethereum. Unlike the conventional gaming model where the creators of a game have central authority over things like player accounts, game assets, or governance, blockchain gaming is decentralized. This gives players more of a say in how the game works, gives them the flexibility to tweak their games, and allows them to monetize the time they spend playing.

Non-fungible tokens are at the heart of this innovative way to play and play to win. Game assets like XP, heroes, weapons, etc. are securely stored on a blockchain network and can be transferred from one wallet to another like any cryptocurrency. Some NFTs can also be ported to other games. For example, you can play the same heroes in multiple games or apply skins from game to game.

There are already review sites of games related to blockchain, how could this be different or any better than any of those? I use the site play2earn and gives me decent info about upcoming and already running games, there are also charts of their tokens price etc. So what could your site give us  better than any of the site that I am already using?
115  Other / Off-topic / Re: Big Project, looking for an investor on: April 16, 2022, 12:54:55 PM
I think you are making a mistake by targeting a certain nationality only. In this case, Lebanese people. Giving them an opportunity to bet is OK, but broaden your horizons. Are P2P deposits through your agents the only way to deposit money into your sportsbook account? And if I am not Lebanese or live in Lebanon, I wouldn't be able to bet? Crypto doesn't have borders and can't be sanctioned.

Why would they target the Lebanese people? Their economy is collapsing, and people are migrating to other countries. Their money is losing power so how would they be able to earn with a country which has vague future?
It doesn't make sense, because a wise gambling site would be targeting a booming country not a falling one.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if all cryptocurrencies merged together? on: April 15, 2022, 09:45:46 PM
What if all cryptocurrencies merged together? Cuz if it merges, then the price of Bitcoin would pass $100,000? The market cap would be at $3 trillion dollars but what will the price be for 1 coin?

We can say it is in the similar state, you know most of the coins are traded with BTC, they are valued out through BTC. The more coins made are, the more fiat money comes in due to new investors entering crypto. Now if those new coins are deemed to fail, either the holders convert it back to fiat or they choose better options like BTC, that is why it is possible to reach that 100k mark even no merging is occurred. We just wait for good news around the world, new investors come in and then boom, prices surge.
117  Economy / Economics / Re: Life is a puzzle ! on: April 15, 2022, 03:21:25 PM
We have to choose the right pieces and get them together , if we choose them wisely we will have a dream life and if not it will be full of dislocations and struggles!

Main parts of this puzzle are study, proper job , marriage, smart housing move and retirement plan! We shall Live like economist and study each step economically.

Not all applies for everyone, we have our own separate beliefs and ways in terms of living in this world. There are people who did not get enough education but still manage to become a successful person. A good retirement plan for me is seeing my kids grow up and take care of our business. A saying once came to my life, that choose a great partner and life and become what you wanted to be. If you have a supportive spouse, she or he is a gem, so both of you should be in your decisions in all aspect of your lives, you are in this together. Like a shoe that one doesn't go with out the other. A small and humble house enough to cater a minimum of 3 kids is acceptable for me, so I am living my dream and will continue to do so. So far I have lived a smart economist life on a small scale, super glad I have this in life.
118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez 130-pound Title Unification Fight on: April 15, 2022, 01:25:49 PM
These are on their prime, one of the best fighters in this generation of boxing. I would go for Stevenson on this one, I remember his fight between Herring and he gave decent blows to him before racking up points before the referee stepped in. These two boxers deserve each other, the first one to beak his defense will surely be in advance position.
119  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I found telegram chatbox where traders can talk live about trading on: April 14, 2022, 10:33:18 PM

Join only groups that had already proven their credibility. If those traders will give you tips for free then it is a red flag, unless they are your trusted friends. Also there are shillers who just wanted to sell you there tokens, just be very wary of the situation.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safest browser for Metamask ? on: April 14, 2022, 08:40:39 PM
Firefox ? Chrome ? Brave ?

Kinda worried because all of them try to collect information about your activities online. I've purchased BitDefender AntiVirus, and taken some other precautions but... can never be too careful as they say.

I personally use chrome, even though there are lot of browsers that offers good quality they say. In terms of safeness, all of those mention above are goo browsers including Opera. It depends on how you manage your accounts security. I recommend to store your seed outside your gadgets, just in case you will be breached you won't regret , however hardwallet is the best choice out there.
