661  Economy / Speculation / Re: Monday Is the Best Day to Buy Bitcoin? on: January 20, 2020, 06:01:14 PM
I don't believe in such things, come man maybe it was just a coincidence that the marks had happened always on Monday. For me the best day to buy bitcoin is when you see it on sale and you have the money to buy at your fullest.

662  Economy / Economics / Re: Thoughts on the World War 3 and its possible impacts on future? on: January 20, 2020, 03:58:16 PM
Both parties would not go that far I think, if Iran ever have the guts to go head to head with US, then maybe it will be their dooms day and most of their enemies in the gulf like the Sunni Muslims would be happy about that, and surely will help the US army in their fight. And if it really happens, then so be it and let's see whose country will side Iran, I think there would be few, even China and Russia would have doubts to support Iran, maybe for it is because these two would probably want both countries lose their armies, and certainly China and Russia would be laughing at their backs.
663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending Bitcoin over Bluetooth? on: January 20, 2020, 11:09:35 AM
I've seen that it's possible to interact with the Bitcoin blockchain using mesh network antennas, satellites and even radio waves. This is great, because it further decentralizes Bitcoin as we know it. But I'm wondering if it's possible to send/receive Bitcoin over Bluetooth? Considering that most devices of today are powered by Bluetooth, it's much easier for anyone to interact with Bitcoin this way than using satellites, and other means mentioned previously.

Do you think something like this is possible these days? If so, how can I do this with my mobile device? Any recommendations or suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance Smiley

I don't think this is possible as of now for bitcoin as it really needs the internet, but maybe another coin could do this and rely on bluetooth so we will just have to wait for the scientists to discover it. It would be efficient as long as it can not be compromised.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market moves in like a mystery! on: January 19, 2020, 10:37:06 PM
One things for sure, organically driven or not, if you are making profits out of it then it is a good sign you are doing well in crypto currencies. We nee to learn on how to go with the flow here, we are not capable of manipulation like the whales do, all we had to do is wait for them to do so and make the most out of it. I know this is crazy but we will have to be vigilant and do extra efforts to gain, it is out purpose here- to earn more.
665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you currently holding cryptocurrencies and now speculating what will happen? on: January 19, 2020, 09:26:51 PM
Yes of course and for sure most of the people out here also. But in my case I only put my hopes on coins that are worth the hold. About speculating, I really don't want to because it would just make me feel dizzy and all, I'll just have to wait for the right moment and have profits when it is the time to.
666  Economy / Economics / Re: 10M Bitcoins Haven’t Moved in More Than a Year, Highest Since 2017 on: January 16, 2020, 10:15:51 PM
I think they are rather thinking of adding it than to sell. Now that halving is nearing it's time, maybe more Bitcoin would add up to their own existing wallets. And what comes after that? Maybe another record would be seen but this time it is about selling and moved Bitcoins from one tot another, just my thoughts though.
667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Motivate currency exchangers in big city centres to exchange bitcoin ? on: January 16, 2020, 09:30:13 PM
Since the idea of motivating local stores to accept bitcoin is IMHO pointless, i have another proposition which could work in the close future (1 year):

Motivating big currency exchangers in centres of major cities to accept internet currencies: Bitcoin, Liberty Reserve, Pecunix and such.
Because those companies are already into "currency buisness", they may be much easier to motivate to use electronic currencies, than local stores.

After people could exchange money for bitcoin on their street, perhaps it will be much much easier to motivate markets/supermarkets/shops to accept bitcoin.

Well said but it is only possible when the owners of those exchangers are open to innovating their ways. Most of the running people are old also don't have the guts to study the new tech and even don't want someone from their firm to.
668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Promote Bitcoin..... It is for "us" on: January 15, 2020, 01:04:56 PM
When I knew about bitcoin, it was about 10,000 USD. I started understanding how it emerged and how it works. I did (and still do) my best to promote bitcoin too (include my purchase of a branded bitcoin shirt). Though the increase of bitcoin between 2009 - 2019 is the biggest increase I've ever seen, nothing got me as weak as this (a thread Laszlo made on the 18th of may 2010)

Quote
I'll pay 10,000 bitcoins for a couple of pizzas.. like maybe 2 large ones so I have some left over for the next day.  I like having left over pizza to nibble on later.  You can make the pizza yourself and bring it to my house or order it for me from a delivery place, but what I'm aiming for is getting food delivered in exchange for bitcoins where I don't have to order or prepare it myself, kind of like ordering a 'breakfast platter' at a hotel or something, they just bring you something to eat and you're happy!

I like things like onions, peppers, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, pepperoni, etc.. just standard stuff no weird fish topping or anything like that.  I also like regular cheese pizzas which may be cheaper to prepare or otherwise acquire.

If you're interested please let me know and we can work out a deal.

Thanks,
Laszlo

Reading thought this, I felt somehow. First is because he was doing that just to promote the bitcoin. Second is that he offered 10,000 bitcoins for it. 😕
Since I went through that post, I've been feeling weird though I learnt something but....... That is touching 😔

I know that many people are focused on the 10,000 bitcoins (wishing they could get it) but then, let us ALWAYS PROMOTE BITCOIN.
Laszlo served as a very good example here by trying to use bitcoin (22/5/2010) to purchase pizza (and obviously, his goal was achieved as bitcoin is now used for purchase).  Let us all find a way to promote bitcoin! It is for "us"!

I am already promoting Bitcoin when my mini business started last year. I was receiving Bitcoin payments, but only few because there were few users here in our place and most of them are my friends. It really is hard to teach people what it is if they themselves don't want to know. Maybe the next generation could do better as they are open in many different kinds of things such as this unlike old folks out and everywhere.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do scam ICOs really taken to the court? on: January 14, 2020, 02:44:45 PM
I think only big scam projects are taken to court if its small time projects scammers can easily fly away and thats sad reality. Will never know but its up those victim’s on where they will bring their complaints and charges to bad actors up to what level but maybe some of them just gave up chasing justice.

I hope it could be changed. The way the justice system in the crypto space is just so lame. Most ICO projects have slipped from the shackles of the court. If only this could be solved, I think investors will have more assurance and will feel safe, also they could lead to investing more and projects leading in a successful state.
670  Economy / Economics / Re: Halving is approacing: HOLD YOUR BITCOINS AND NEVER SELL THEM on: January 14, 2020, 01:13:16 PM
Unfortunatly, while you are hodling, you dont have any profits.  To get them you should find right date  for selling. And i guess, after halving will be right time  for that

You have lost your mind, holding gives you profit, as long as it is sold more than you bought it. You see, divide your profits of selling by the days of holding it, that is answer is your daily profit.
671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are giving too much attention on the halving on: January 13, 2020, 10:14:35 PM
I am bullish for the long run and I have no reason to sell, as the way I see it Bitcoin will become massively accepted and widely used across the globe.

Although, I seriously think that we should be promoting Bitcoin for the tech and not for the price movements.
Talking about the price does not provide anything useful and does not help with people starting using Bitcoin. It only attracts speculators.
What we basically need is wide adoption. The 2016 bull run was extended in 2017 because of the news from two of the greatest Asian economies, South Korea and Japan.
The halving has it's purpose, but is there anything else to wait besides this event?

I think there is something that we don't discuss in the appropriate length and this is the development of the Lightning Network.
With instant transaction speeds and extremely low fees the Lightning Network has the potential to make Bitcoin the dominant method of transactions.
I think this subject should be discussed more and promoted further by influencers to convince everyone to give Bitcoin a chance.

I dream for the day when every merchant, online or physical store, will have the price of Bitcoin tagged next to fiat price and I think it will become reality soon.

My first feelings about bitcoin is same as yours now, but people changed my friend and I am one of them, hell yeah I would sell if I make money even the slightest possible profits. Ask most of the people here, they most likely here to earn profits.
672  Economy / Economics / Re: Ok. Number of Bitcoin transaction increased double. Expect price increasing? on: January 13, 2020, 01:50:56 PM

So i heard that the number of Bitcoin transaction increased double recently.

which means i can expect price increasing near future right?

Btw, i recently got airdrop token, which is exchange token, BPX?

Do you guys think that this kind of token may have a good value or nothing?

Better not expect from airdropped tokens. Were are on the year 2020 now, it is not like what it is when it was 2017, where airdropped and free tokens could be worth hundreds of bucks.

for the bitcoin transaction, well it is good for the community of crypto, see what a lively market is from the perspective of what you see on the real market on malls were there are hundreds of thousands of people busy trading and buying what ever it is they are selling. There are only differences though.
673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not being sold for $24,000 in Iran on: January 12, 2020, 11:50:43 PM
True or not the fact that Local bitcoin Traders are only just getting ready make profits is still there, either cases, whatever happens war or not they are trying sell their Bitcoin and ready to take off if they make it alive somehow when the war breaks. It is justifiable anyone would do that, even me myself would sell my Bitcoin higher than what Iranians btc holders did. It just makes sense, they can't use the money if their country will be destroyed and that is why they are making an alternative get out vehicle and used Bitcoin, fast and secure.
674  Economy / Economics / Re: Iran/US tension's effect on crypto and economy ? on: January 12, 2020, 02:51:54 PM
The recent Iran-US war like situation has already pumped up the oil prices and it has shown an postive effect for crypto and bitcoin as of now but how will this affect the national economy of other countries if a war breaks out?  Who will suffer most and where will this lead our economy as wars always leads to inflation.

Most likely all the human beings would suffer, in case escalation goes beyond and affects other countries as well. For instance they call upon their allies and then there goes another inhuman war. I was amazed though when the tension between the two country was aired, the crypto world became suddenly alive and kicking once again.

676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we review 2019? Please leave few things you achieved or lost in crypto on: January 01, 2020, 02:45:18 PM
Generally we want to learn from you. Its important we review the year and probably correct our mistakes in 2020.

Regards.

I have earned little doing bounties, the only thing that I regret was the doubt that I felt when my coin was worth about 1000 USD but I did not sell, since I am greedy I want more and the result turns out bad. Now it is just worth some pennies and hoping that it could achieve even just half of the last price that it was suppose to be. Lesson learned? Don't be to greedy, this is common in the crypto industry since we or most of us here wanna become big time in jsut a short amount of time, well that isn't reality, face the truth and don't be foolish.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to 2020, the year of cryptocurrency bull market. on: January 01, 2020, 01:26:33 PM
Good words but when will be this bullish market is happening again? Before the year 2020 ends? so maybe that could also be December 31 ,2020, I hope not, I hope this will start soon because  I can't wait too much too longer anymore. There are so many predictions that ere saying stuffs like this but the truth is it never happened. I hope you are right about this coming halving were Bitcoin and most of alts are going to the moon or else there is no turning back for me now.
678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any specific video channel for cryptocurrencies same like bitcointalk? on: December 31, 2019, 11:43:52 PM
If there was, I bet the owner is super rich now because of the followers and so many offers of promotions for the crypto industry, but as far as I know there is only Yoututbe and the sad thing is, the views of crypto related vids are lesser than expected. In this forum there are so many users, million of users, it is very opposite to what expect the viewers in videos of crypto related ads.
679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Before 2019 ends, crypto addicts should check these! on: December 31, 2019, 04:26:17 PM
XLM on keybase, BAT on the Brave web browser, and some coins on coinbase. and yes, that is one of the airdrops that I received before 2020, actually there are still many airdrops this year, but I cannot mention one by one, but there are also legitimate airdrops from ICO or IEO, but only a handful, of course very was different 2 years ago. The crypto room will not be devoid of airdrops and bounties, because this is the easiest way to do promotions, even though the current market conditions are bad.

Even the greatest promoters out there needs the Airdrop for the liquidity, I had some free coins where they haves used famous Hollywood actors just to get their fund raising a successful one. I don't know for some other coins like Libra since they are already known through out the world for their social media app.
680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Under supervision, do you think that anonymous coins have a future? on: December 30, 2019, 10:46:14 PM
Hello everyone and Merry Christmas! According to the current situation, cryptocurrencies are about to be brought under government supervision. Do you think that anonymous coins have a future in this case? How should we choose, thank you for your proposal
Now it wouldn't have the anonymous tag in it if it were be to supervise by the government. Most of the shady people engage in shady businesses and they would do their thing with shady tactics an practices. To maintain that they have to use anonymity and it includes crypto, for most alts they are anonymous so if the government supervise it I bet there will be only few coins who would pass the screening.
