101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 03, 2016, 08:11:14 PM
Sorry guys, but XMR is just about getting back to break-even for me in bitcoin.  So a dump is clearly imminent.   Angry

I'd think twice before turning into BTC right now...

In this new cryptorush, we could soar to a 300 million market cap easily - That is $30 per Monero, and it could happen a lot faster than you might expect.

+1

This! A lot of people get out of ETH now (taking profit) and getting into XMR. We may witness a nice rally.
103  Economy / Speculation / Re: PnF TA on: March 03, 2016, 04:23:57 PM
so ltc pump has been delayed because eth?

when would be a good call to scoop some ltc?

need to trade a bit im bored Grin

I expected LTC pump earlier this year (precisely, end of January). It turned out that I earned much more by trading EXP/ETH and could have had MUCH more by buying and holding XMR. If I were you I'd focus on those 2 (XMR/ETH).

Have to give kudos where deserved. Good call once again Klee. Smiley

Are you sure there is no conflict of an interest? Apparently it is in the best interest of Risto to have cheap xmr..
Now we can speculate on who is the bear whale in the markets.
1. Aminorex
2. Risto
3. Someone else

Nonsense. It was me all along the way...  Grin Cool Wink Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue

and 15 million USD
Oh, that, LOL. Forgot to mention that. Dunno, but they have it, and we don't. It's yet another strength that they have, and that we have to somehow overcome. Have to hit'em where they ain't. Dogecoin did it with a mascot and a friendly community.

How're we going to do it? Don't know. When some guy attacks me, and he has 50 pounds on me, well, that's an advantage, maybe an unfair one, but I have to overcome it. Or die.

Ethereum is that guy rushing us with 'roid rage, and we're complaining about the illegal juice?!?! Good luck with that.

Might I interfere with your -otherwise- nicely put thoughts; but the one cannot exclude the other (ie: both coins can achieve greatness). FWIW: I never before got involved with alts (trading-wise). I did so with ETH/EXP rallies and the only thing I done it for, was to gain more BTCs that I used to buy XMR. Funnily enough, I managed to rub out my gains from the recent mini-dump XMR did *right* on the verge of "breakout" point a week ago (240k).

I'm not complaining; trading has these 'features' - it could've been worse if I held ETH instead. I'm just pointing out the obvious, that both coins could co-exist with BTC serving different purposes. This is pretty early stage if we're talking about a black swan. I'd say we wait and see what happens (while keeping our eyes open). Roll Eyes

But I think it's much more weird the total amount of claims translates into 23.66 billion USD...

Yeah; I'd call that "wishful thinking" if not "extraordinary expectations"... Grin Tongue

the clients will get ZERO Smiley

Hope not ! Sad

So the biggest creditor of mtgox is just its depositors.  I presumed they would dissolve any proceeds to taxes or some other large entity over any indivuals, usually thats how debt goes

Those will be filled from the cash deposits. They're probably more than enough.
109  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: February 28, 2016, 08:01:30 PM
Apart from the connection problems (try to make a phone call to the hotline if you can't access the site; they have an english speaker there), I dare to report that it's really weird that *the number* of the claims/users are far less than than the 1M accounts... We're talking about circa 10000 approved claims here; where are the rest 990,000? Shocked

Nice article; have to repeat though that *someone* should push an XMR integration in an exchange in China... like ASAP. Roll Eyes

This is just in.

Quote
To all creditors,

On the date of the investigation of claims which took place on February 17, 2016, I approved or disapproved a portion of the claims against to MtGox Co., Ltd. (“MTGOX”) regarding the refund of BTC and money which were filed by the users of MTGOX’s Bitcoin exchange (the “Bankruptcy Claims Related to Exchange”).
On the other hand, this time, I reserved my right to approve or disapprove filed claims which need further investigation or those for which the filed amounts of the Bankruptcy Claims Related to Exchange that was filed are greater than the amounts of the deposit balance that we are aware of.  In addition, I reserved my right to approve or disapprove all claims filed by creditors who filed Bankruptcy Claims Related to Exchange based on the deposits of money (including creditors who filed Bankruptcy Claims Related to Exchange based on deposits of BTC), since it is necessary to further verify user information, etc. remaining at MTGOX and, at present, I am not in a position where I can approve or disapprove the above.  I uploaded the results of the approval or disapproval given on the date of the investigation of claims to the system under which you can file Bankruptcy Claims Related to Exchange through the website (https://claims.mtgox.com/assets/index.html#/), so please confirm the results by clicking the icon which states “Confirm the Results of Approval or Disapproval of the Claims” after logging into the said system.  In addition, if you click the link to the PDF file of the “List of Approval or Disapproval of the Claims” after logging into the system, you will be able to browse through my statements of approval or disapproval that set forth the contents of filings and the contents of approval or disapproval thereto with respect to all Bankruptcy Claims Related to Exchange (they are partly masked).

If the table of results of approval or disapproval that is displayed by clicking the icon that states “Confirm the Results of Approval or Disapproval of the Claims” after logging into such system shows that all the amounts that you filed have been approved, all claims that you filed have been approved and you do not have to do anything in particular at this stage.  I will contact you with respect to future procedures when we have progressed to the stage of making distributions.
On the other hand, if you cannot find your results of approval or disapproval even if you click the icon that states “Confirm the Results of Approval or Disapproval of the Claims”, I reserve my right to approve or disapprove the claims that you filed.  I will conduct further investigations in the future in respect of the Bankruptcy Claims Related to Exchange for which I reserved my right to approve or disapprove this time, by the date of the next investigation of claims that is scheduled for May 25, 2016.  The reason for the reservation of my right to approve or disapprove the claims that you filed may be due to the possibility that the filed amount is greater than the amount of the deposit balance that we are aware of, and in such case, I may request you to change it by decreasing the filed amount.  If I make such a request, I will approve the filed amount after decreasing it as of the date of the next investigation of claims that is scheduled for May 25, 2016, if you change the filed amount by decreasing it in accordance with such request.

Please also refer to the website (https://www.mtgox.com/ ) with respect to approvals and disapprovals.

Kraken.. it is impossible. Any, any little action on etherum your exchange shutting down and it is just impossible to sell an etherum.
check the new status website, if it fits to your observations: https://status.kraken.com/
(at least the API timeline is not correct I think. Every know and then there were problems with API too)

I hope the increased fees will help to improve kraken... but I doubt ...

During a heavy load (like the mass selling of ETH a couple of hours ago) I've experienced trading problems in Kraken and Poloniex as well. This is due to massive selling demand and orders piling up.

It is not excuse! Poloniex is at least trying to do something, and they are lagging sometimes but it is possible to trade there even in heavy load situation, kraken just completly shutting down with 502 error, for MOUNTHS.

It's not an excuse; it's a *possible* explanation.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: February 25, 2016, 08:16:50 PM
A long story short: It means the price is -probably- heavily manipulated at the moment. XMR shows far more stable now than most alts and believe it or not the price does not represent its true potential. If you don't want to take my word for it, check volume-wise the poloniex alt-trading list. For nearly half a day this was the only altcoin that had a positive sign...

ALT coins (with the exception of ETH now and LTC now and in the past) are so illiquid that I decided I will never post again publicly about them a priori.

Only my subscribers will know. I will post signals/analysis only a posteriori.

Because for example a nice buy signal if posted as expected can be easily be gamed into a bull trap.

I do this to protect me, my subscribers and the coins. I hope you guys understand.

That said, XMR is still bullish.

Sad to hear this! Followed this thread with great interest.

I'm interested in a subscription. I'll PM.

IMHO, klee's subscription is far less than what it provides. You won't regret it if you are into trading. Wink
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: February 21, 2016, 12:48:38 PM
The support zone (165k-170k) got tested once again on high volume. Bear in mind that everytime it holds on high volume it gets stronger and is less likely to break in the future. In addition, the ask side is rather flattish back to 200k. I can only spot one (minor) wall so far at 190k. Furthermore, the lending rates are still quite high, which lets me believe that there are still open shorts out their that need to rebuy/cover.

Also, Bitcoin seems to be somewhat declining currently after reaching a local (high) above 450, which usually is a good thing since most altcoin traders tend to dump on a Bitcoin spike.

The fact we're experiencing a fast and heavy BTC dump makes me confident that we will retest 240-260k soon...

For me there is no link for "List if acceptence or rejection for all claiments" so nothing happens when clicking on it. All other buttons/links work fine.  Huh

It doesn't work for me either.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: February 20, 2016, 09:44:41 PM
XMR is currently the only mega-cap coin outperforming BTC on the way up.  This is unusual.  XMR often outperforms falling XBTUSD, but I have never observed it outperforming rising XBTUSD before now.

As klee said into his subscribers' channel:

"When we see an alt coin to go up together with BTC, we buy with both hands"...

120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: February 20, 2016, 07:03:43 PM
I suppose I was wrong about the impending "last chance to buy under 200k forever."

However I can also imagine a world (one which may happen very rapidly, such as by this summer) that brings us $630 bitcoins and Monero at a price of 540k satoshi, meaning $3.40 Monero.

In terms of USD valuation this can be achieved easily (much sooner) if there are no "price taps" like the one we're observing right now. If you want, the worst part of it would be the fact that the actual seller doesn't know what he's doing (highly unlikely). Market ethics demand fair game for everyone, otherwise participants usually decide to leave the game. We're observing this when he has the wall of his on and the 24h liquidity drops.

Let me explain why this is wrong:

Take for example a top billiard player. If he manages to go to a local club and play with the locals for a bet of 10$, after a couple of games nobody would want to play a game against him. If he's smart enough, he manages to "sell" a couple of games in order to gather more profits in the long term. Otherwise he's either fool or desperate...
