What if we see trading starting on GBTC, Nasdaq (COIN) and Gemini on the same day?  Shocked
BTC price will be up, possibly a lot. $400 bid on GBTC and not taken... I doubt anyone will sell until all three are up and running.

I really wonder what Huobi, Bitstamp, etc will show after the trading starts. Maybe there's something to celebrate after all, apart from the price rise or not...

Already added. Please update your Lists!

Regarding the TA, I'm by no means expert - nor I believe it has the ability to predict with 100% a certain outcome of the price beyond the next 5 minutes (sometimes even less than that). BUT; I can't leave unnoticed, the specific pattern that -like a clockwork- repeats itself (now for the 3rd time).

I'm trying really hard to reason this phenomenon, nevertheless, I come with no good explanation so far...

TL;DR:

I expect a bubble... soonish.  Roll Eyes

It's been nice to see so many new names, both senior members and newbies, poppin by the WO thread lately. Almost as if the mood is turning.

Hello, my name is Mr. Snrub. And I come from, uh... someplace far away ...yes, that'll do.
<snip>

Welcome Mr. Snrub. Enjoy your staying into The List.

FYI: If you noticed that there's a constant ban on your new accounts, there's a reason for this. Not that you didn't notice... just saying. Grin

Was kind of hoping NLC would go there. Then again I'd hate to lose some of the sharper heads. Worst case scenario is that the troll cave/WO thread will become a Bitcoin Bier und Blasen.

Beer und blasen ist gut fur mich.

IMHO, it's far more complex to maintain a "generic" list than a personal one. That requires the ability to keep up with the "major" dogma which -in essence- doesn't exist. Newbie ban on the other hand, is not always a good strategy since you never know which is which (maybe a paid troll is after putting all those newbie accounts to ignore, because of his actions and force the community to slow down).

I try to maintain a strategy that follows the 3 out of 3 trolling posts (except it's 100% certain that the newbie is a sockpuppet). So far it works; and I have plenty of time updating it several times a day... Smiley

Trolling is an attitude and a habit. For some it's even a way of life! I've met even professors at the university trolling just for fun on public forums... (Hmm, now I think about it... hmm... Grin) Anyway. It takes a billion times the effort to repel a troll than what it takes just to ignore him/her. Do the right thing. Adopt the list. And please contribute if you have seen something I didn't. This way it's better for everyone. Probably even for NLC. Kiss

Really NLC, I mean this:

You have a sick mind. A really - really - sick mind. I really wonder what thrives you to spend countless hours here for absolutely nothing, if only to rake in a few responses of people that take you seriously to some extent. Then again, your being here is the DIRECT RESULT of BLITZ FUCKING UP MODERATING. Yeah, you read that right Blitz. Fucking moderate these boards, or hand in your badge and gun to someone else.
I think this is because of RLS*. Happens to all of us and when you have a forum with a gazillion members and a thread alone has 8M views since it's first post (ie: this one), sometimes you decide you ought to give up.

*RLS: Real Life Syndrome

PS: Latest additions have been added to The List

Bro, the creature is hell bent on making that list into the Guinness Book of Records for most amounts of ignored forum members of any genre.

That could very well be. I bet though with the rate that people adopting it he will probably have no one to quote him but himself.

That is the picture used on every menu in every greek restaurant I've been to, and that is the music from every greek restaurant I've been to.

I don't have a point really. I am just amazed.

The song has a verse that needs to be translated better:

Quote
Δική μου είναι η Ελλάς
που στη κατάντια της γελάς
της λείπει το ένα της ποδάρι
που της το παίξανε στο ζάρι

Quote
Hellas is all Mine
When you see her plight you laugh
She's missing one of her legs
They've played it on the dice game

Funny to see the almighty Draghi being terrified by... a girl with a bag of confetti! Is this the man who when he talks the "markets" go crazy? Oh Please!

FYI:
The latest additions to hall of fame TROLL A.K.A.: The List  is once more updated. Enjoy and if you care, please share with friends and family.

She caught him off guard. That will not happen again!

Really have to wonder though what would have happened if she carried something... you know... more hostile. I'm sure he's wondering too. Undecided

Really impressed with the UK and their forward thinking crypto mindset. Pound sterling sidechain perhaps?  Grin

"Modern life in "The City" is full of hidden dangers. Why are we here? we are here to learn how to defend ourselves against these dangers"

Good quote.  Cheesy Cheesy

The Brit's adoption of BTC brings me nothing but positive feelings. The City is the most powerful economic center on the Planet. They're no fools for they have maintained their own economic policy all these years (by HODLing their GBPs) and also they had been enjoying the EU's free-market privileges. The BrExit scenario is being rumored for sometime now and after the Greek paradigm (which is heading towards a disaster) after the political EU leaders have proved themselves incapable to decide just for to 0.3% of the EU's GDP.

History has shown that in order for a new system to reign, the old one must be burnt. From the ashes of it, there's a chance we witness the rise of a far better system. This -of course- never happened without a catastrophe. I'm not claiming that this is the best way to do it; just what's the canon of the past. On the other hand, we never had a black swan paradigm like (what I like to believe it is) BTC.

Interesting to watch...

POLL:

Will the GBTC fund...

1) ...be rocket fuel for bitcoin because big investment banks enters the market?

2) ...be pushing the bitcoin price down with tactical shorts because big investment banks enters the market?

3) ...be irrelevant to the bitcoin price because it's an isolated sandbox?

I'd go for 1 too. This thing could give us a nice boost within the next months.
1099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 15, 2015, 10:59:52 AM
^^
I think this is because XMR is younger than the BTC and we expect (I know, long shot) to reach it in popularity. Besides, there are no trolls in here which is very comforting when you're trying to educate yourself price-wise or tech-wise. Admittedly, XMR feels like "the future" into my mind now. I personally managed to build a nice stash (ie: so many I won't regret the BTCs spent if it goes to 0 and so many that I'd thank myself I bought them if it goes to "da moon"). Wink
1100  Other / Meta / Re: "THE LIST" on: April 15, 2015, 05:26:00 AM
User kwukduck should definitely be on there too.
And my list doesn't include BlindMayorBitcorn.

The Mayor has been quoting the trolls all the time (not to mention he was trolling more than them). He was rude, insulting and provocative to me and others. He had been warned and kept going. That's why he's on this list. I have the "3 out of 3" rule to add a person in there. If he/she is keeping at it, he/she qualifies.

@D05GTO:
Your list silences many "bears" which is not what this list has intention to do. For instance Dump3er, tarmi and others are in there. I'm checking now for missing parts from my list, but definitely you should revise IMHO.

Thanks for the help Smiley
