101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: June 20, 2016, 03:59:11 PM
Cryptopia ETH Markets are closing, please cancel all open ETH orders.

Full Statement:
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Forum/Thread/675

Well written statement outlining their valid reasons for delisting.  It won't have any effect on Etherium but I completely understand the reasoning behind it.  Any fork or rollback invalidates decentralization which has been a cornerstone of Ethereum since it's inception.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] STRATIS | Blockchain Development Platform | ICO Starts 20th of June on: June 20, 2016, 03:47:49 PM
Does anybody know how much price of stratis will be? And where can we exchange it?

Hi Babayega31,

The price of Stratis is not set. The amount of Stratis will be calculated at the end of the ICO depending on the amount of Btc received also taking into consideration the bonuses.

First 5 days (20th June-24th June) – 20% bonus

Next 10 days (25th June-4th July) – 10% bonus

Next 10 days (5th July-14th July) – 5% bonus

Last 11 days (15th July-25th July) – 0% bonus

Regards

Krushang

I thought you said there would be no changes to the ICO structure.

Any change for a day 1 bonus? Smiley

You mean an increased bonus for day one participants?

Yes. It would be nice to have on top of the 20% an additional bonus for day one investors.

Sorry, no changes will be made to the ICO structure.

Hi,

We haven't changed the ICO structure. It's been the same ever since we made the announcement. The user above had requested for a larger bonus then 20% on the first day.

Please check : http://stratisplatform.com/2016/06/14/ico-terms/

Regards

Krushang

Somehow I missed those details.  My apologies.

104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BXC][Bitcedi :: upto 106% Fixed deposit Interest with Encrypted Messaging] on: June 19, 2016, 11:27:49 PM
Bitcedi isn't dead! Just working on some few stuff on Bitcedi!
We also have Two Nigerian Businesses who will like to accept Bitcedi on thier commerse websites.
Trying to get some mobile money vendor shops to buy and sell Bitcedi.

Also discussing with some Ghanian politicians in power into possible implementation of Bitcedi as Blockchain for sales of prepaid units.

Already recieved calls for more information about Bitcedi from a couple of ghanaian locals.

We are actually working on the ground to get bitcedi going.
One of the Use cases, to get Bitcedi circulating with real purchases and services to raise value for Bitced.

For now nigeriafoodstuff.com will be the first to start accepting Bitcedi, considering the wide array of customers they have.

I beleive after getting the work running with locals in Ghana, the rest will be easy to convince since we are going to have a strong use case to argue.

Updates will be posted with info to let the community know about the progress.

A very big sorry, for staying away for so long.

Oh good grief.  Talking with Ghanian politicians?  The website http://nigeriafoodstuff.com is in maintenence mode and the domain was just created two weeks ago on 04-jun-2016 and is WHOISGUARD PROTECTED so how do they have a wide array of customers?  And why is it a protected domain if it's an actual functioning business?  Sounds like nothing but a bunch of nonsense.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] STRATIS | Blockchain Development Platform | ICO Starts 20th of June on: June 19, 2016, 11:18:01 PM
Bonuses are gimmicks.  They have no place in legitimate offerings.  It's like banks offering a toaster to open up an account so they can get your money or a car lot promising prepaid gift cards to lure people onto their lots.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: June 18, 2016, 05:16:22 PM
I can see that fungibility is a very important aspect of both a money and a decentralized programmable platform.

I think Ethereum would be better off to just let the thief make off with the coin. Try somehow to allow for tracking so they can bust him.
But a rollback or software fix is the end but Vitalik has already made that statement.
Ouch.

I'm curious as to what laws were actually broken that this individual could be prosecuted for and if there were any laws that were broken what entity would have jurisdiction for prosecution.

Regardless,  this is certainly the biggest mess to befall cryptocurrency since Mt Gox.  The amount of value that has evaporated is staggering.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] STRATIS | Blockchain Development Platform | ICO Starts 20th of June on: June 18, 2016, 04:39:56 PM
Another ICO hope the guys in here won`t make it a hype and full of trolls will the lambo make his way here soon.

I hope so as well.  I'm hoping this thread doesn't turn into a picture show of fancy cars, rockets, and lame posts about the moon.

what makes this different to other competitive platforms?

The underlying technology.  It uses C# and .NET

What i'm saying is, that you don't have to invest in any crypto coin, if you cannot effort to take a risk... look at the ETH crash, look at the DAO crash... if you don't have money stay away from crypto world from the start.

No you are saying that they should launch at the WORST possible time for an ICO because you are as you have proven multiple times a fan of talking complete crap without any thought or concern for the logic behind your statements.

You completely fail to grasp the point but you just keep on talking.  That's all you do.

I wouldn't be surprised if 99% of the crap on BTC talk is you and your sock-puppet accounts.

You show absolutely ZERO judgement in any investment and would put money into absolutely anything no matter how badly organised or implemented it was.  That is not a good thing (although you probably think it is).

Now I'm sure you will completely miss the point again and give another one of your token spam responses about investing and how it doesn't matter etc...etc...

I share your sentiments regarding this user but it's pointless to engage them so why bother?

I hope that this thread stays grounded in reality and technically focused.  Something that's lacking in most threads.

Ah, yeah thats the old version. I haven't uploaded the new version(The current one on the download link)

I don't understand why you guys don't have everything in place when you launch these coins.  What's the hurry?

I think bitcoin is too valuable to throw away on this junk.

I'm curious why you think this is junk.  I'm a very skeptical individual and never believe all the promises and hype.  Even now I'm in a wait and see mode with this.  I rarely get involved in any ICO and regardless of market cap most of the recent ICO's will never have any significant real world use.  This one caught my eye specifically because it is based on Microsoft technologies and the NBitcoin framework is already developed and code, examples, and even an eBook from the developer of NBitcoin is available right now on github.  That same developer has even stated that they will be building on top of that framework specifically for this project.  That in itself is more than other recent ICO's that I won't mention by name but you are likely aware of.

I also see a space that this could fill that isn't currently occupied.  Many of my friends and colleagues mostly Microsoft veterans like myself have no desire to get involved with cryptocurrency but might give it a second look if it was based on technologies that they are familiar with.  I see many real world use cases for blockchain technology using C# and .NET.  Regardless of anyone's opinion of Microsoft, the fact remains that they own the desktop and corporate markets.  C# and .NET are already widely used in those environments.  This would make it much easier to deploy blockchain technology into those environments.

One real world use scenario would be Unity which has already been mentioned in this thread.  I can imagine a game made in Unity, coded with C#, and allowing for in game purchases using bitcoin.  It could be used as a sidechain for things as common as tracking time cards, inventory, ledgers, etc...  The uses are out there but getting people to adopt it is another story.  The fact that it is based on Microsoft technologies is a plus for the market that they appear to be targeting.  I think it's a long shot but the potential is there.

Anyway, my intention isn't to start an argument.  I was hoping to hear opinions from others good or bad as I make my own determination as to the validity and viability of this project.  I do understand your point about bitcoin being valuable though and that is definitely something to think about before trading it for something else.    Smiley

Well there's this:

I'm surprised (I guess I shouldn't) that some people actually answer seriously.

I bet at the end there will even be some deposits to that address. They will deserve what they get

I know.  It's obviously a joke.

Hey, just to confirm it here, I will work on Stratis Bitcoin full node implementation if Stratis manage to raise enough for financing my work.
This will be a bitcoin full node, based on NBitcoin. Easier to debug, compile, and change on your own.

Just wanted to say that I'm impressed with your work.  I've been looking through the NBitcoin code and the examples you have on Code Project.  Good work.

Any news on exchanges? Come to yobit atleast

Yobit doesn't list coins based on the Cryptonote protocol..

hm, the end of bitcedi.

It looks that way.  It's too bad since this was one of the few Cryptonote coins to actually make it onto an exchange.

Everytime this thread comes up I am reminded of Video Toaster and Lightwave.

Interesting bit of history:

The Video Toaster won the Emmy Award for Technical Achievement in 1993. Other parts of the original software package were spun off as stand-alone products, notably LightWave 3D, and achieved success on their own.

117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRATIS | The Microsoft .NET/C# Blockchain Development Framework on: June 16, 2016, 03:18:49 PM
Is this just another white paper or is anything actually developed yet?

Hi shojayxt,

The Stratis full node and development platform will be built on top of the NBitcoin framework.

Nicolas Dorier has been developing NBitcoin since May 2014. He has made 1280 commits in this time and NBitcoin is a near complete alternative to Bitcoin core. It is also the only cross platform alternative and I believe at this time its the only implementation of Segwit outside of Bitcoin core.

Interesting.  What interested me at first was the fact that this is done in C# and .NET.  I've been a Microsoft guy for a long time since getting an MCSE on Windows 4.0.  While it's been fun learning all the new things I have since getting involved in crypto I always thought it would be nice to see a platform based on Microsoft technologies.  I've been looking over NBitcoin and some of the resources on Code Project.  It looks promising.  I would suggest others to take a look at NBitcoin and some of the samples available if they haven't already done so.

A litecoin clone in 2016. Are you serious?

And a walletbuilders clone at that.  Didn't anyone else notice?

119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PSYCHO COIN PSYX on: June 15, 2016, 08:25:44 PM
Hey DEV, what is the exact number of the pre-mine?  I see 50% being thrown around here, but the OP really doesn't say.  So what is it?

premine is 233.333.333 PSYX  Angry

https://github.com/psyxcoin/psyx/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L1008

Now I'm beginning to wonder is this is a get on the exchange, dump the premine coin.  I could see maybe a tenth of that but that is huge.  Staking doesn't come out of the premine does it?

Is there any other purpose for a wallet builders coin?

For AMD GPU mining use this

https://github.com/wolf9466/wolf-xmr-miner

I used this miner with Neptunium and it worked fine, I can't test it with BikerCoin because I no longer have an AMD card, anyway here is the conf file I used with my old HD 6870 (100~150 H/s), and Catalyst 15.7.1 drivers on a window 7 x64 machine

Code:
{

"Algorithms":
[

{

"name": "CryptoNight",

"devices":

[

{

"index": 0,

"corefreq": 1000,

"memfreq": 1500,

"fanspeed": 65,

"powertune": 20,

"threads": 1,

"rawintensity": 110,

"worksize": 1

}

],

"pools":

[

{

"url": "stratum+tcp://192.170.1.31:3333",

"user": "Np4BgvEZjczLRE2Fz3vBoqLNMNWPJYYXJjMP8rLqU36Z6h5adDKJVQ98L5bQnY4wQ3VgJsmUPEnKCKCFGLDkXHub1fEMosbFf",

"pass": "x"

}

]

}

]

}

Edit the file with your desired pool and user, save it as "miner.conf" then launch miner.exe if the miner close or hangs, low the rawintensity value or you can start with 100 an go up until you find the best value for your card.

Need compile? could anyone show how to mine this coin easily like monero?

Here are the downloads in the same page (no need to compile)
https://github.com/wolf9466/wolf-xmr-miner/releases

Downloaded and did every step in the post. But didn't work even with original xmr.bat file. a black windows opened and then closed immediately

You need to launch the miner using a bat file.
Example bat:

miner.exe biker.conf

biker.conf will be your edited conf file containing your bikercoin address and changes to the settings like raw intensity.
