101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cash out or let it ride? on: May 03, 2024, 01:45:50 PM
I see that most responses would have opted for cashout, just as the OP eventually did. I probably would have done the same but I don't understand sports betting much. In poker I would have kept the bet depending on the odds. If I know that in the long run out of every 2 times in a similar situation I will win double it makes sense to stick with the bet if I know I will win every 2 times frequency or less, every 1.9 times, 1.8 etc. If you want it in percentage, it makes sense to continue the bet if the probability of winning is greater than 50%. If out of 100 times 50 I stay at 0 and 50 I win 100K, I'm as if I stood up. But only if I have a 51% chance of winning, it is profitable for me. And the higher the probability, the more profitable it is.

Here we would have to take into account to what extent the probability that we sign has a margin of error, because frequently there is a subjective intuition in the assignment of probabilities, and the economic situation, because if 50K is a lot for me the best thing to do is to secure the money.
102  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: EU is set to delagalise decentralised mixers on: May 03, 2024, 01:36:47 PM
The AML directive is nothing new and was already discussed intensely here.
...
... CASPs in the EU won't be able to offer mixing services.

However, it's likely that something like Samourai would not be a CASP under this directive, where CASPs are entities in general which control funds, realize transactions on behalf of customers, or give financial advice. If Samourai only provided a server to receive messages from potential CoinJoin participants, but did not sign these transactions, then it wasn't in control of the funds and also didn't "realize" the transactions.

Anyway, as things stand, I think these are the first steps. The next ones will be to ban all kinds of services that offer privacy, be they mixers, coinjoin services or whatever. The defense of privacy has always been stronger in Anglo-Saxon countries. Nobody in the EU is going to protest strongly about this. In the same way that cash payment limits will continue to fall and even if they do not fall, it does not matter because inflation will do its job. This is in line with the launch of CBDCs.
103  Economy / Reputation / Likely low quality poster alts. on: May 02, 2024, 05:57:25 PM
I see them in the Economics section and both by the way they write and by their nickname it seems to me that they are alts. They look like they have a lot of time to write nonsense from their mom's basement while eating Doritos and drinking Monster. Sorry for the overquotes but I think this way it will be clear:

Get ready for goods and products shiped from china india area sea to get very expensive.
Also USA stand behind india and will give all the military aid to India it means stock market commodities and btc looking bullish becouse just start of the china India war the fed might lower the rates.
Now they can't do rate cuts but If there will be world one of the biggest war definately fed ecb boe will cut rates fast.
This one is very important for USA so they will support with money even more then ukraine.
We might see fed rate cuts in 1-2 months the emergency rate cuts to give military aid.
Also this area is important becouse a lot sea traffic with shipments goes from there to the world.
Fed cutting the rates + tensions on world one of most important area can make shipping cost by conteiners sky rocketing.
China India war will have huge impact to Global economy but one thing is for sure markets will go up.
Also Since India own currency fall i guess blackrock is ready to start sell btc to India and to china.
Both have huge population the china and india and If from starting the btc adoption and USDT USDC adoption to get btc then it can move the markets like grazy.
We could see the fed cutting rates but dollar will be still strong becouse of strong demand of USD specially USDT and USDC.
Everything comes together exacly timing.

Yes Markets need war and it Will start soon the war is like water for flowers for the Market.
In war we can turn on money printer and buy the bonds so after war year 2028 Will be biggest rate hikes again and no more QE no more money printing so it will be last money printing orgie enjoy this make most of out of this and nobody don't listen anymore If anyone talk about inflation because powers to be even are in gold and btc and making grazy gains.
So enjoy the money printing it will be last one take maximum of this become rich year 2024-2025 or never Will be rich you only Will pay year 2028 higher taxes and higher rates and everything Will be cheap you want to sell Property 2026-2025 then all crashing down.
Just invest in some cheapest coins you make grazy money
Many people Will make so much money in one year from today that they lose their minds.
But off course without bigger war we not going here is the plan start war lower the rates fed ecb boe and send all the markets to biggest bull run in the history get ready for become so rich that you lose your mind.

Over the next years people Will be separated those who are with good mindset and Open minded they will be one place those who not they Will be another place so those who don't want to invest or crypto they Will be another circles those who are in good things they Will be connected.
By wealth society Will be divided 50/50 you will be very rich side doing nothing / poor side working and getting nothing If you know any good people whos going to be poor side then you can save them because you on the good side Will make more money you can spend yourself.

Wealth are not gambling or chasing the quick profit.
Wealth true strong wealth it's like energy creation of value+utility + hard work + quality+ and finest craftmemship.
Not just money and material things but everything even what you eat how you treat yourself.
The success and wealth it's all your lifestyle and how you also respect and treat yourself.
In life things happening to be the way that everything comes full If you are poor it's not just money problem you need better healt better education and better friends around you and more good vibes more quality and more value in material things and in knowledge and Even in your time.
In otherwords If you seems to not making money you have to change everything.
When it comes to investing in crypto or anything else those who really search for utility and value Will be winners.
I have learned hard way that money comes when i focus on value knowledge and hard work.
So If you surrounding yourself with people who value their time and they seek for quality and value then you connect with same kind of people.
People tend to think that If they see ultra super wealthy person and see the numbers that there is main thing money but it's not there is high value high quality of everything you have wealth more how you value your life your time and who you associate.
So in crypto it's fun to search fast gains but to be honest you make more wealth with patience and focusing in value and quality.
So the truth is you have to become quality minded person forget about numbers just focus on what ever you do it's associated with value and quality and utility

In USA 3000$ minimum Europe 300€-3500€ minimum wage i think UK there 4000$ minimum. Wage
But goverment need to regulate just
Rent prices , energy prices ,food prices.
So If you want to put food price up then you need to be approved by goverment only then you can go over price limit.
We need wages up but same time our regular costs need to be not go over limits.

So things we need goverment must keep prices check becouse the economy is playground and goverment duty is to be judge that everybody play fair game.

104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling excites you ? on: May 02, 2024, 03:59:46 AM
Well, in general, no. Both when I play poker and when I occasionally play casino games I try to detach my emotions as much as possible, although in that sense I am not the typical gambler, who does get carried away by emotions, as you can see in this section. Precisely if gambling is so successful is because it is exciting but if you want to win money in skill games or if you want it to last in casino games you should bet as rationally as possible.
105  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Alert on Cryptocurrency Money Services Businesses USA on: May 02, 2024, 03:52:13 AM
A few simple steps can prevent unintentional use of non-compliant services. For example, avoid cryptocurrency money transmitting services that do not collect know your customer (KYC) information from customers when required."
They are gradually reorienting the people to believe that decentralized platforms are evil and should be avoided. Meanwhile, the government is the real problem that wants to control the financial dealings of everybody in the US. In a few years, many people in the US will know nothing about privacy and anonymity.

Well, it's a bummer and I've had discussions in this very section saying that's where we were headed. If this happens in the USA, which has always been known for defending privacy more than Europe, I take it for granted that these measures will be copied by the EU if they do not go further. Besides, this kind of measures are being taken at the same time that the launch of the CBDCs is being developed. I know some retards who will willingly use them saying they have nothing to hide.
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You Submit KYC Before You Win Big on: May 02, 2024, 03:43:28 AM
That's what happens in fiat casinos. If you want to bet with real money you have to verify your identity beforehand, and the most common way to deposit is by card, or even bank transfer, which have your name on them. So it is not surprising that cryptocurrency casinos tend to do that. What happens is that there was a freedom and privacy in previous years that is increasingly being extinguished. So if you are going to gamble regularly in a crypto casino and require KYC better do it early as the OP says and avoid delays if you win big.
107  Economy / Economics / Re: Stagnant Salaries vs. Inflationary Savings Tax on: May 02, 2024, 03:35:46 AM
I don't know why you are making such an unrealistic situation. It is clear that the first situation will not happen due to fiat monetary policy, but neither will the second because it is confiscatory. If you were taxed on your savings and not on their yield, people would either not save or would take their savings to another country, things like that. What a genius to come up with such examples.
108  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: May 01, 2024, 01:43:34 PM
...many have the view theymos banned mixers to protect himself and the forum name from possible future scrutiny by various legal authorities.

I am not going to comment on the other question but about this I think it is no secret, and I would say more, not only the forum and himself, but also the participants in mixer campaigns.

It wouldn't be illegal to continue allowing mixers here. That's why we're able to offer a 1-month grace period. But allowing them has become too risky/problematic, and it's only going to get worse. Imagine 5% of all active forum users being sanctioned due to being paid directly by mixers, or all participants in a big signature campaign being targets of a search warrant, or our service providers suddenly banning us due to being "associated" with mixers, etc.

As events have unfolded in 2024 I think we can say that his cautious decision was a good one.
109  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: May 01, 2024, 01:33:44 PM

All this fuss about a Full Member account not wearing a paid signature and without trust feedback?
110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery Fever. What are your range of thoughts in response to Lucky Winners? on: May 01, 2024, 07:55:24 AM
My thoughts have to do with the lottery winners who end up worse off than before they won the lottery, totally broke and with more debt. They had better learn how to manage their wealth and not get carried away by the drunkenness of joy when it comes to spending their winnings. Have a little brains, please.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CZ Sentenced, Your Bitcoin in their Custody on: May 01, 2024, 07:47:21 AM
Well but 4 months is a laugh, and he won't go to prison, it's all a consequence of a pact. Although if we think about it more broadly this is part of an attack on privacy, for which it seems to be money laundering anything that has to do with protecting it. And the bad news is that it seems to me that this has only just begun.
112  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: May 01, 2024, 07:38:18 AM
That feeling when you finally trigger that bonus spins but it's a dud LMAOOOO

Damn! What a bummer! Only 0.41 won with 12 free spins played? That's bad luck. Well, at some point you will have the luck that you lacked this time. Good thing you took it with humor.
113  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does your Sig-Camp Manager counts gambling posts that moved to off topic on: May 01, 2024, 03:10:32 AM
A post that has been moved to off topic is as if it was written there. I don't think my manager when he counts posts stops to think if the ones in off topic have been moved there or were originally written there. So no, I don't think he pays for posts moved to off topic.
114  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: April 30, 2024, 01:49:46 PM
Damn, they still haven't published Round 10 Lambo winner? Such things doesn't looks good.
TheQuin is quiet for a long time, not sure what's going on behind the curtains, but something definitely isn't ok.
If we compare it with the previous year, TheQuin's activity on this forum has dropped a lot. As a result, the feedback between the project and the community has almost disappeared. By the way, this year, from January to April, he wrote only 8 posts on the forum, while for the last year, he wrote 161 posts.
As for the delay in publishing the results of the 10th round of the Lambo lottery, it's certainly alarming, but I don't think it's because of finances. Otherwise, they wouldn't have launched the 11th round of the Lambo lottery.

I would like to think that the site is doing so well that they have neglected the forum because they are so busy with other tasks. Although I am not justifying it, the truth is that it does not give a good image, but a site that has worked so well for so long and must have earned so much money I find it hard to think that suddenly it is because of economic problems or something.
115  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Top 9 Campaign Managers of 2024..... on: April 30, 2024, 01:40:11 PM
You should have put the names in alphabetical order, OP, otherwise it is understood that you put them in order of importance, which is consistent with Hhampuz being number 1 (by total number of campaigns and weeks of duration managed on Bitcointalk to date).

So, even though it was probably not your intention, maybe some of them don't like the way you have put the list together.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 U.S. Presidential Election Bets! on: April 30, 2024, 01:35:41 PM

Okay, so according to the pic the most likely candidate to win is Trump, followed by Biden, and the others are basically throwing money away. If I had to bet I would bet on Trump, because I understand that Biden is worn out from his presidency and doesn't seem cognitively very stable. Although who knows, as I am more of a supporter of positions that defend the free market so maybe I am a little biased but that the lowest odds are paid if Trump wins I understand that I am pretty well on track.

117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin halving is hours ago. Will you hold your BTC to April 2028? on: April 30, 2024, 01:26:52 PM
For me this is not a question of all or nothing. In 4 years I will have holded part of the Bitcoin I have now, but how much will depend on how the cycle goes and how much the price goes up. It's not like someone who starts now, starts accumulating and is clear that he will not sell anything in the next 4 years, I do plan to make partial sales as the price rises.
118  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will communism ever be realized? on: April 29, 2024, 03:59:56 AM
It has already been, several times during the 20th century and so far in the 21st century. And as it usually happens, one thing is theory and another is practice, and in practice what it does is to cause famine, political repression, death everywhere and an exodus of those who are able to escape from such a system.

The paradoxical thing is that the more it fails and the more people it kills, the better reputation it seems to have, especially among intellectuals.
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are online/crypto casinos the most profitable digital business? on: April 29, 2024, 03:51:40 AM
They are profitable but to make them work you need a good initial investment and good management. It's not an easy thing to do, otherwise any moron could make money with one.

It is a very competitive space and making a niche for yourself is not easy. However, if you manage to launch a casino and attract regular customers, you have a cash cow. Just look at how important they have been in the history of bitcoin and this forum.
120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you cashout or wait for the game to conclude? on: April 29, 2024, 03:43:02 AM
I would cash out, but I wouldn't have made such a high risk bet in first place. Something tells me that type of player who likes to make such high risk bets, so close to getting 36M would not be satisfied with 12.

For context, we're talking about $27K vs $9K, although the purchasing power of that money is greater in Nigeria than in the US.

I would prefer the $9K in hand for sure.
