101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is It Time to Buy More BTC? on: April 13, 2024, 03:56:52 PM
For me yes this is the right time to buy bitcoin both as a long term or short term basis,  this is significant enough since most of the market speculators are cashing in on all the befits of bitcoin both at long term or short term basis and this is what is most Important for any investor,  some of the gains of holding bitcoin is that it value always changes at frequent time and is out of the control of any centralized or individual influence or control so bitcoin will continue to recover even if it falls below your buy price.
102  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price will you bitcoin holders sell if we have a major price spike? on: April 13, 2024, 03:40:01 PM

103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making bets with my stupid friend on: April 12, 2024, 11:52:00 PM
You don't know what gambling or betting is all about and from what you wrote it pourly off topics and at smthe same time invaluable because I what you said is anything close to being true which I doubt because I can't Imagine grown up forks engaging in such worthless and thoughtless way of discussion to call a bet.

It's quite funny and sarcastic!
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the good days for meme coins gone forever ? on: April 12, 2024, 11:10:06 PM
Some of the altcoins moved quite high in prices in this current bull run. But meme coins had been disappointing for long time. Even influencers do not promote meme coins at all.
Are the good days for meme coins gone forever ?
Ordinarily memecoins are just for speculations and gamble nothing more, amd 99% of memecoins are worthless a d only a few that are successful are just pump and dump, based on hype,  there is nothing like liquidity to support the price of those memecoins so for that, their could not sustain imthe market pressure.

So this unique nature of memecoins make it hard for us to predict what the future holds for the memecoins market,  but already we know their foundation so let us be wise and analytical enough whenever we are speculating the price and market.
105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling between the past and nowadays on: April 12, 2024, 11:03:06 PM
We have all noticed the changes that have occurred in gambling over the past years, as gambling in 1990 or before is not the same as it is today due to several factors, including:
-Ease of playing and more casinos.
-Inventing new tools and methods of playing.
-Online gambling and the emergence of easy-to-use applications that support all games.
-The method of advertising has changed, becoming more effective and attracting more players.
-The presence of liquidity due to the increase in the amounts that players bet.
-Provides more profit opportunities..

In your opinion, what are the factors that brought  change in the field of gambling? What is your outlook on it in the future?

The introduction of the internet has made it simpler for gamblers to gamble online, and mobile devices have increased accessibility. But, in the future, I believe we will witness even more changes. Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies are already affecting the casino business, and I believe this trend will continue. I also believe that the sector will be more regulated as governments struggle to stay up with the rate of development. The difficulty will be to identify the correct development while safeguarding consumers. There have been certain projects, such as the ones you highlighted, but I believe there is much more that can be done. I'm really interested in how technology may help encourage ethical gambling. For example, several organizations are trying out with using artificial intelligence to monitor player behaviour and identify possible indicators of compulsive gambling.
There have been increased in the number of gamblers now compare to the olding days, this is what have changed alot between now and in the old days, I am sure that I we look closely we will still see a number of ways that the gambling sector have changed now and the past.

One other way is in the general public perception about gambling,  in the olding days, gambling is seen as bad actor in the society so many people take it as a negative act, but lately people conception amd perception about gambling have changed,  and this is because of the access to available casinos both online amd offline.
106  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Delegate your Income and you'll earn more money on: April 12, 2024, 10:37:53 PM

A man without risk can't make money in his life. Rich people dey like to challenge themselves and others e no fit face any risk way dey come their way and because of dat em still dey poor. Real businessmen use risk management to handle many things. When bitcoin come out, poor people say na Ponzi Scheme but rich invest small amount to see how it works and when they discovered that na legit thing dem come invest am with plenty money. And even now dat bitcoin is rampant in every corner in the world, poor people still dey tok say na Ponzi Scheme. That one na fow dem, anyone wey dey ready to invest go come and invest. And di best time to invest na di dip (bear) market.

Na only money person dey use to find another bigger money again. And na be di hustle be dat. From your original work when received you pay, you go delegate some portion to another areas to get more.
Na the matters be that ooo, na money person the use fine money, but first get knowledge before you get the money because na the knowledge go help you invest the money wisely and also not to try to get rich quick,  those who try such never get rich at all, besides they lost everything because greed is a virus.

First be open minded and never invest in anything you jave no knowledge of, amd also when you fine a legit way try to build on it and afterwards diversify to secure your future financial freedom.
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shocking rate of women interested in gambling. on: April 12, 2024, 10:31:04 PM
Edited

The first time I came across this thread, I didn't even flick about it for once because I have seen them multiple times and I know some of them from their social media handler. Some people has even believed them to be men just disguising as female but they have prove them many times with a live video to book games, play them with their fans and win some and lose some but the number of times they won is always more than the losses. Ladies are indeed very intelligent species of human beings you will ever see.

How some of them even used their own money to bet always stoke me by surprise. Women are known for this feminine character to always wants a man to do for them but this one's are special breeds that just love analysing sports and also playing them, though not only them, even women that are not sporty also use the money given to them but guys to also gamble in other to double the money.
It is no longer a new thing for women to be seen gambling,  and sometimes I even wonder why forks pay special attention to some of those gender differences,  because for me, I won't be surprised to see women doing what they male counterparts are doing so gambling should be one common thing that women involved in and we shouldn't be surprised to even play against them and being won.

Most of the times, all this segregation comes from some few set of people that believe it is out of place for females to be seen gambling,  since they see gambling as an irresponsible act.
108  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Delegate your Income and you'll earn more money on: April 11, 2024, 11:23:26 PM
You are right, because it is far better to use money to work for more money, and even in this cryptocurrency industries you can see how important it is for holding more coins, because for example when you decide to accumulate bitcoin against any particular price,  you make more profits if you are able to stash more bitcoin because your profits margin will come in proportion with your total holdings.

Same it is with every other aspects of life and business,  you make more profits via the amount you invested as capital.
109  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: April 11, 2024, 11:04:55 PM
The grievance of people buttress towards the way and manner cryptocurrency was introduced. Cryptocurrency mostly promised decentralization, privacy and anonymity, but the situation now is beyond that. Despite most of them still retaining those characteristics/attributes, the government has found ways to limit them by regulations through the companies and individuals transacting with them. This is a brilliant idea and I will always support it. Cryptocurrency cannot just be operating the way people want unchallenged, not when there are still working governments in the land. Fine, when it first came on board, the government would certainly be unaware or taking time to know how to deal with the situation. Those are the times you mention.
I use to think that way in the past that reasons why many gamblers are against regulations birth kyc is because of how casino handle the subject of kyc and how their go about their marketing,  quite alright some casinos promised to be decentralised and none kyc by along the li e their get it introduced into the system,  although this casinos should be classified in the class of scam casinos because most of the casinos that involve in such schemes always do so with the intended motive to scam the gamblers.

Because no legit casino will ask for kyc when the terms and conditions states their decentralised.
People have really suffered at the hands of those casinos and it could be worse elsewhere. Imagine, decentralisation means that there is no central authority or oversights, so why demand KYC? Who is deceiving whom? Well, a lot of people will still fall victim to this, that's the extent of how gullible they can be. This issue of running away from KYC casinos to find solace in the no-KYC casino has made many become a victim of scams as easily as possible. What baffles me is that many of these people only have a small amount of money to gamble and they got the money through a legit means as well.

So why are they so particular about privacy and no-KYC casinos to the point of abandoning the respectable casinos that would not scam to try those they knew little or nothing about to the point that they lose all the money to them? To make it worse, for those of the casinos who would stay, the No-KYC casino over time may switch to KYC casino, is that not using their heads?
The thing is clear, because when a casino call themselves a decentralised casinos, it becomes 100% free from kyc and by that it means, that casinos have no right to ask players for kyc verification and anytime their so is either their have become centralized to avoid crack down by regulators.

Or their have become outrightly scam being that only when a decentralised casino want to scam someone that their come up with what is not and that way the make it impossible for the gambler to pass through their verification process.
110  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can we ever live in peaceful Coexistence on: April 11, 2024, 10:54:07 PM
This world have experience more War and her very foundation have been built with blood.Nations fought against nations,Brothers against Brothers,Father's against their Sons,Religion leaders have fuel more hatred than achieving peace in our society. We have seen how powerful Nations Uses Weapons of mass destruction(Nuclear weapons) against weaker Nations not even minding the Number of deaths and excruciating pains this weapons can cause, are we  gonna continue killing ourselves all in the name of power. Can we ever live in peaceful coexistence in this world.

The people of Ukraine and Palestine have the right to live in peace.
Peace I far more better than war, and sometimes we can't even see the reason behind wars other than show of power and suppression by individuals which have transformed into Nations against Nations.

This have separate the world in the most negative line which have damaged alot of development that could have helped the cause of human peaceful and prosperous existence.
111  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are your expectations for Casino coins in this coming bull run? on: April 11, 2024, 10:44:55 PM
To my view I think betfury is more popular on the forum, they ran a signature campaign here, don't know if any other deed.

Well for the bull run I still believe betfury is going to be part of the promising project, they have been steady in value. However, I don't know of a project that will not bull during the bull proper because volatility will be created in the market but it depends on how many coin will sustain their hype. I would invest in bfg if I should, the price is still cheap and marketcap is still moderate at 58 million.
Really what i have fine out with most casino tokens is that, they don't normally follow any trends like bitcoin bull run trends this is so because in the last months I have followed Betfury project closely and how their price involved and their current conditions, all this have made me have clear understanding of how this projects acts.

Not only Betfury but also a few of the casinos coins like owl tokens and others have also acted that way, so for us to expect alot from them via a bull run season may likely end up negative.
112  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are your expectations for Casino coins in this coming bull run? on: April 11, 2024, 08:47:06 PM
I have been an advocate of casino remaining casino while leaving cryptocurrency to do their things. I think there is already enough ground to cover in the casino industry. Instead of the project owners to diversify in cryptocurrency, they should instead intensify in casino activities.

I think when I was new in this space I invested in Betfury token. But then, for the sake of bull run, I think there are alot of projects which are promising. It is not necessary that you will cover every area with your portfolio.
To some extent I support what you said, because what is the need for casino owners to get distracted with the cryptocurrency volatility when they already have enough liquidity to cover their marke,  gambling is highly lucrative a d if any casino should develop a token it should be based on the fact that their want to have a liquidity provision for they platforms.

Instead of trying to figure out how to compete for price allocation during the bull run I think casinos better pay more attention into making their coins/tokens have a stable price.
113  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Na Dollar Cause Am? on: April 11, 2024, 12:00:54 AM
The cost of materials for construction have tripled or minimum double,  take for example the price of building cement used to be between #4500 to #5000 back then but now the same cement is sold for #10,000 or even 15k in some places,  all this and many others contributed to why the cost of housing increased.

But where it becomes unfair is at the rate at which landlord's are adding to the cost of rent for old buildings,  this is where the exploitation comes in because why taking money for what you did not build new and don't make any renovation that could call for new materials to the building before increasing the price of rent on such houses.
114  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: April 10, 2024, 11:43:07 PM

Most of the time, it is not really mandatory if the casino is not centralized. The difficult thing here is that it is not legal to ask for KYC from gamblers. The chances are very high that our KYC will be used for bad purposes, and that's a scary thing to look at, in my opinion.
Some part of this statement is wrong, like where you mentioned that kyc demands is illegal,  that is not true a.d infact the government regulations is what bring in kyc and even though chances are there for those kyc document to be used for illegal deal that is if the data is leaked,  but such situations is very hard to happen unless when and in case of hack.

Quote
The KYC only becomes mandatory when a casino platform makes a demand, and when it comes to situations like this, we really can't do anything because they hold our funds, and at any moment they can hold them and block our accounts. and it has happened many times to other gamblers in this field of crypto space.
I think majority and all the centralized casinos are mandated to collect kyc of their users but their are criteria that is followed to accomplished that in some instances,  since not all casinos ask for kyc outrightly unless there is need for that.
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you advise a friend in the same way? on: April 10, 2024, 11:28:26 PM
I told him to think about investing that money if he wants to keep the company growing, I told him about how MicroStrategy is doing so well using Bitcoin as a strong backbone of the company, I believe that even a small company can turn big if they use Bitcoin as their main investment.

Investing in Bitcoin can potentially bring high returns, but it also carries significant risk due to its volatility. Your friend should carefully assess whether it aligns with his company's goals and risk tolerance. Diversification and understanding regulatory risks are important considerations. Consulting with financial advisors is advisable before making any investment decisions.
Aside from the risk of losing at instant anf having to wait a long term to witness the significant profits from bitcoin,  it still remains the best ifor of investment and at the same time savings for anyone looking foe long terms, but in this case the ops did not mentioned if the money was saved for the day to day running of the company,  or a cash flow that is like in excess profits.

But whichever ways,it depends on the friend investment mentality and his knowledge about Bitcoin as an alternative to fiat investment and also the advantages of bitcoin being an assets.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Betting. Why the Distinction? on: April 10, 2024, 11:16:49 PM
I was today years old when I found out that if betting and gambling isn't exactly the same thing. If you Google the word betting most of the  results will be in regards to sports betting. Also Google the word gambling and you will see most results refer to casino games. In my own opinion whether we bet on the outcome of a sports event or we bet on games of luck and skill in the casino, they are both the same thing. Which is why I wonder why there is this distinction between the two? Why can't we say casino betting just as we say sports betting or sports gambling just as we refer to the casino when we talk about gambling? I know it sounds weird saying casino betting or sports gambling but what do you think about this?
We may see some few difference between sport bets and in house games and one of the notable discrifesy is in the area of house edge in casinos games, which is not present in sport bets since the result of a live match can not be minupulated to favor the house unlike in in house casino games where the casino interests is always put first before the gambler which is included in the terms of service as house edge.

But aside from this notable point above we may likely not need to make so much differentiation between sport betting and in house casino games since both rely and depend on a number of similar factors and outcomes of events.
117  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: E no resemble local board. on: April 10, 2024, 10:51:58 PM
Having the title or the post in Pidgin is not necessary. If you like, post in English. If you like, post in Pidgin. We do not have to force anyone to post in Pidgin.
For my post above, where I force person to post for pidgin. Abi I no dey entitled to my opinion again?

Please, we are having peace already, no need of bringing what is not.
E get the time wey war dey for here? I no too understand the way you carry respond to this post, hope say nothing sup.
Anyhow anyhow, I believe say people done understand wetin I post. People wey go first make their title to be pidgin go try from henceforth. Person wey no fit go continue for English, e simple.
No vex if my post looks like an attack. What I just felt is that we should leave people to make their own choices.
The matter clear na just mis understanding, if not both of una mean the same thing,  because in as much as e be say we get the freedom to yan in clear English for this board, e still dey important make we dey try make the local board look more organic or representing the multi lingua board which is English/pigin,  any ways the thread call for more pigin discussions,  while charlse make emphasis on the accessibility of the current English topics trends as acceptable also.

E clear like that, I been don't the losgard my pigin skills since majority of my comments lately come be English,  but never mind na because most pf the comments na about bitcoin or cryptocurrency related topics.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When is alt season likely to be? on: April 10, 2024, 10:08:02 PM
Right now the value of Bitcoin has been somewhat stabilized around $70k so we need to wait for the period when Bitcoin's price surges and then after the surge the price will stabilize, that's the exact moment when Altcoins will start pumping as you will see most of the Altcoins going bonkers. You need to ensure you sell it at the peak else it will drop down real quick.
Exactly because no altcoin can make any bull run without bitcoin being the major market leader,  only bitcoin have the ability to changes the face of the market and it will rob up on every other coins I the market,  altcoins may make some attempts but on the long run, the can't create any significant market sustainability to built up a bull market on their own.

But bitcoin has that chain control and that is why you always see strong altcoins like bitcoin and a few others following the bitcoin trends each time it happens.
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shocking rate of women interested in gambling. on: April 10, 2024, 10:00:56 PM
It shouldn't be a shocking thing to see more women coming into gambling and for sure, as much as we have higher percentage inflow of women into gambling so also we have men too coming into gambling,  this is an equal ratio and we have nothing to do about that at this moment.

There is no gender differences when it comes to some certain things, and even though gambling seems to have negative influence on women more than the men, it still doesn't eliminate the right of the women to gamble same way the male forks does.
120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Anyone +18 Play Gamble? on: April 10, 2024, 09:44:37 PM
Now a days very young children are using smartphones and browsing the internet thus they are gradually attracted to gambling at some point. Because kids love to play games and gambling also has variety of interesting games. Many children under 18 are addicted to gambling so it cannot be said that no one under 18 can gamble. however, since children under 18 have no ability to control their emotions, they should not be involved in gambling

If my children are trying to claim to be smart, I will give them the same energy. As a parent, when you want to get internet phone for a child, these are some of the things you should but into consideration, you can't just buy a phone that can do everything them. They have kids tablets isn't? Most of these tablets can't download big things and if there is an option for credit card, I will makes they don't have one and I may even remove browser from their phone so they don't see some things. As a parent, we can help our children be what we want if we pay close attention to them.

There should be limitations for childrens even though you love them, not just gambling alone, learn to limit them from internet unless they need one for assignments or do some projects, password the wifi and make sure to always check their phones. As long as they leave under your roof and they are less than 18 years old, they must obey your rules as a parent.
The rule of the parent is quite significant,  because kids will always try to explore alot of things and most times the parent will need to pay close monitoring attention to they activities,  and sure Internet exposes kids to alot of content and the ability of the guidan to sensor whatever the kids access via the Internet the better.

Leaving kids to have an uncontrol access to Internet is a bigger risk that could destroy the mentality of the kids and that is whyit very important to pay close attention to them right from the beginning until they come of age to have such freedoms and being able to control they emotions.
