101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market manipulation? on: June 27, 2017, 05:58:30 AM
It's quite worrying if there are individuals who have the power to manipulate the market in such a manner.

Crypto market grown a lot in the recent years but if you compare it to the forex or stock markets it's still illiquid. If you have a few thousand Bitcoins (and maybe a few buddies with similar holdings) you can manipulate it at will. Such swings are pretty normal over here.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves platform stole my bitcoin on: June 27, 2017, 05:50:06 AM
Yup, this is a thread not about waves but about bitcoin scaling issues and an impatient/uninformed user. Hope the mods lock or delete this thread

I hope they don't. Actually this thread is rather useful and informative for folks who experiencing similar slow transactions when trying to send BTC to Waves wallets. At least they'll know that they are not alone, nobody scammed them, and this is a Bitcoin issue.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IF ethereum dies... on: June 26, 2017, 09:30:41 PM
"IF ethereum dies..." I'd be genuinely surprised Smiley. There are wast amounts of money and corporate/banker support behind it. They also have a big developer community and plenty of investors. As these folks don't want to loose a lot of money they will do everything what they can to keep it running. So I doubt that ETH will suddenly die overnight. If it ever will then that will be a long process and probably because of one or more more capable competing coins.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA - the scam is being pumped hard now don't fall for the trap on: June 26, 2017, 09:20:32 PM
Can someone give me a list of accounts that would need to be tagged with negative feedback?

No need for that. In a nutshell: the ICO was public indeed (not hyped tho') and lasted for a month. OP missed it, then he asked for a second ICO. CFB refused that and since then Cryptohunter thinks it's a scam. He might or might no right, but AFAIK the IOTA guys put some work into the coin and came up with some real life applications/prototypes, I tend to believe he's wrong on this.

BTW probably it isn't a good investment right now for someone who looking for significant price rise in a short term.

Statement: I have zero (i.e. 0) IOTA, and not planning to change this, so no shilling here.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BANCOR ( BNT) on: June 26, 2017, 08:47:13 PM
bancor didn't go down, it has same price like at ICO: 100 BNT = 1 ETH

It went down to 0.00903981 today but recovered above 0.01 by now. Will see what will happen in the coming days. It would be nice to buy some around 0.005 Smiley.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone Made 100X Profit from Altcoin Investment on: June 26, 2017, 07:15:39 PM
I've made 700-800% Waves and Lisk and counting (downwards at this moment).
Some of my early ETH buys were also good and the same with Monero. (Good means tenfold rise.)
Of course Rome wasn't built in a day, so it took more than a year to make these percents.

Still BTC was my best investment from zero to $2400-2500 in five-six years Smiley.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves platform stole my bitcoin on: June 26, 2017, 07:05:28 PM
Similar thing happened to me too. My BTC what I sent to my Waves wallet was in the limbo for a long time, before the transaction went trough. As it turned out I did not set the BTC transaction fee high enough to be a temptation for miners :/.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BANCOR ( BNT) on: June 26, 2017, 05:52:25 PM
Three things.
1 - I guess many ppl expected to see 5x-10x increase in price within days or a few weeks. Unfortunately for them, Bancor seems to be more like a long term investment what not really able to grow in value without some practical/real life use cases (what it certainly doesn't have at this time).
2 - Also, the ICO price was quite high for it's current state.
3 - The ICO happened during the peak of the latest altcoin price upsurge.

Probably we'll see one of the biggest dumps in crypto history.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do u think about KoreCoin (KORE)??? on: June 25, 2017, 04:55:18 PM
KoreCoin (KORE) is better?
can u tell me what about this?

I also think its can be good..

Need a perfect answer

Thanks

Is it still alive ? Better? Better than what? Would you mind to elaborate? You know, we need the perfect question for the perfect answer.

I guess you bought into it during the recent pump and now you want to "raise awareness" to be able to dump without a loss. Am I right? Of course not. You are just genuinely curious about KORE Smiley.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best Way to Buy ETH, Litecoin, Waves? on: June 25, 2017, 10:53:39 AM
For ETH and LTC the best place to buy is Poloniex, for Waves, you can use its internal own marketplace after you deposited some BTC in your Waves wallet. Bittrex is also fine for all three coins but there they are asking for identification.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop the word SCAM on: June 25, 2017, 10:48:48 AM
Indeed it would be better to support scam accusations with some facts and proofs. I've seen many such accusations around here when some retards who didn't read things were screaming about scam, however clearly they were at fault (by not claiming their coins or not claiming in time, by sending their stuff to wrong address, and so on).
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Year 2017. Poloniex vs. Bittrex vs. Kraken service comparison on: June 24, 2017, 02:24:06 PM
It appears Polo screwed their Cloudflare settings again. Today I'm getting rate limit and temporarily banned errors quite often. Even if I don't touched the page for an hour. Perhaps it's really time to move partially of maybe fully somewhere else :/.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help Needed on Token on: June 23, 2017, 04:41:33 PM
Your gas price was too low. By that time 51 was the minimum to get through. You can buy Bancor on Bittrex. As I see at this moment people dumping it and the price is only 20-30% higher than the ICO price was (at one point price almost hit the ICO price) and I guess it will go a bit further down.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO to fund development of robot to replace real life jobs on: June 23, 2017, 04:30:04 PM
This is already happening but not reached this place...yet... Sooner or later it will, I guess. Most of the necessary technology is already in use or ready to go.
115  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Magyar (Hungarian) on: June 23, 2017, 04:27:01 PM

118  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Magyar (Hungarian) on: June 23, 2017, 02:44:49 PM

hello guys, I need one advice for you but sorry I dont speak Hungerian.

I will come to Budapest next week and stay there for vacation 2 weeks, and just curious to know how you cash out bitcoins in your country?

In Serbia we use cex.io and withdraw to telenor bank...and it works great. We can cash out up to 10k euros without paying taxes. Above 10k we need to pay 20%.

Just curious which bank and ways are you using to withdraw for example from Bitstamp or any other?

Thank you

There is a Bitcoin-ATM in the city centre (5% fee):
https://coinatmradar.com/city/33/bitcoin-atm-budapest/

Otherwise the only possibilities are localbitcoins or the forum on bitcoin.hu.
