101  Economy / Reputation / Re: MicroGuy - claiming to be a "friend of Satoshi" in order to promote his altcoin on: April 30, 2020, 06:46:57 PM
In light of these facts, I have unfriended Satoshi Nakamoto on the P2P Foundation website and stand corrected.

And what about the issues raised here?  I'll be willing to edit my trust rating regarding your withdrawn claims about satoshi, but I'll need to see some very convincing evidence that your altcoin is not a scam before I can consider removing the negative trust.

This blog post was addressed in 2013 by our then lead developer in the following thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=231834.msg3289325#msg3289325

The blog author was a serial coin creator who made coins in direct competition with Goldcoin.
102  Economy / Reputation / Re: MicroGuy - claiming to be a "friend of Satoshi" in order to promote his altcoin on: April 30, 2020, 04:29:38 PM
It's true I was claiming to be friends with Satoshi on the P2P Foundation website.

However, after spending a few hours today researching the hacking episode that occurred in 2014, I've learned that most likely his account was hacked several months before he added me as a friend later that same year.

...

In light of these facts, I have unfriended Satoshi Nakamoto on the P2P Foundation website and stand corrected.

Thanks for your honesty and quick resolution. Because you have demonstrated a willingness to be reasonable I am removing support for the flag as it was based on this claim.

Thank you. I apologize for my error and will work on better researching future statements.
103  Economy / Reputation / Re: MicroGuy - claiming to be a "friend of Satoshi" in order to promote his altcoin on: April 30, 2020, 04:24:50 PM
Yeah, never trusted the guy after seeing the amount of censorship on his shitty altcoin thread - currently 661 posts by 22 users deleted.

China has less censorship. Syscoin not though.....lol
Damn! And the stats shown in the deletions are only from the time Theymos Announced self-moderated topic statistics. The number of deleted replies must be way more than that provided the thread has been over 6 years old  Grin

If you have ever moderated a thread in that sub-forum, you'd understand. No one in the community is being censored. Would love to have the staff here review the deletions and make them available. Most of them were from a character calling himself GreatOrchid and creating multiple accounts.

(fyi, I've had three of my posts deleted on this forum this week. and none of them were warranted.)

105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto never used Bitcointalk - new claim by Craig Wright on: April 30, 2020, 02:53:52 PM
Stop trying to confuse the campaign spammers. As you know this is all explained in the following thread.  Roll Eyes

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2112829.msg54323794#msg54323794

Furthermore, Craig Wright was the person from the original team responsible for making posts on this forum. Gavin Andresen and Jon Matonis were both 100% correct when they identified Wright as Satoshi.

Quote
During the London proof sessions, I had the opportunity to review the relevant data along three distinct lines: cryptographic, social, and technical. Based on what I witnessed, it is my firm belief that Craig Steven Wright satisfies all three categories. ~ Gavin Andresen

"The reality of an extraordinary event is rarely what you imagine and I am now pleased to know the creator of the Bitcoin protocol and the author of the Bitcoin white paper, Craig Steven Wright." ~ Jon Matonis
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining: Why choose Solo or Pool? on: April 30, 2020, 01:13:44 PM
Don't get confused by the technical jargons by the technical people. Understand one simple thing, mining will reward you only if you can find a block. If you can't find a block, your mining is of no use.

So in pool mining, you have a better chance to find a block as compared to solo mining.

Hope this helps!

This is the correct explanation in easy to understand language.
107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Information About Bitcoin Halving on: April 30, 2020, 01:11:14 AM
If we will take a look at the chart and on the 2nd halving part. After the 2nd block halving there you see a new all-time-high.
So, for me, probably like months after the block halving we can able to see a new all-time-high, like probably as what others said: The year 2021 is when the Bitcoin is probably getting its new all-time-high.

Please take into account the competition. Bitcoin cannot and will never offer privacy. The people of this world demand freedom. And you can't have freedom without privacy.

Therefore, Bitcoin will become obsolete as other better and newer models out maneuver this dinosauric tank.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Become Negative in Value? on: April 30, 2020, 01:06:26 AM
It is unlikely that this will happen, there are no prerequisites for this. This can happen if only everyone stops investing in bitcoin.

Unlikely? Try impossible.

Bitcoin will never go to zero. But I do see it dropping to around $500 in the next 3 years.
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which investment is a safe haven Gold or Bitcoin? on: April 30, 2020, 01:04:49 AM
Bitcoin replacing Gold? Can governments have bitcoin reserved?  Smiley. What makes gold more attractive as a safe haven its because it has been tested already, you just have to check how Gold was used during WWII and you will understand why government or even individuals prefer it more than bitcoin today. Of course there are still narrative that bitcoin can be safe haven, but that narrative was put into question when the whole corona virus crisis and it seems that we have a long way to go before we can say that bitcoin can be an hedge against pandemic and the looming recession.

Bitcoin doesn't care about the Corona Virus. This entire engineered pandemic is irrelevant as it relates to BTC.
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The growth of cryptocurrency on: April 30, 2020, 01:00:37 AM
Cryptocurrencies has helped me in many ways. It makes me to have unbelievable income when I trade, passive income for my staking and ha made me to have financial freedom

Cryptocurrencies were not designed and should not be promoted as trading get-rich quick schemes.

Passive income for staking is another TERRIBLE idea for entering into this space.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't this the best time for Bitcoin? on: April 30, 2020, 12:57:34 AM
Bitcoin will dominate as the best asset in this financial crisis as we've seen banks and central authority can freely manipulate value and print money whenever they like even some stock market exchange where prohibited from selling by the government. This is not how free market and free money works, this pandemic and economic crisis will prove Bitcoin is way better in payments and as an asset.

I agree just as the automobile was better than the horse and carriage. But eventually, people will grow tired of the Model T.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be the ideal currency of the future? on: April 29, 2020, 11:23:06 PM
This is an obvious NO. Just as horse and carriages are not ideal modes of transportation.

An ideal currency must be like cash and allow the user privacy. Bitcoin does not, and will never, have this ability.

Bitcoin is transparent but it's also private.

Bitcoin is not private. The NSA created it with the intent purpose of tracking payments globally.

So you're one of those conspiracy theorists  Roll Eyes

Does it really matter if the NSA, an institution with no global jurisdiction, finds out that someone from Austria sent some money to someone in Russia? What are they going to do with that information, not knowing what the payment was for?

Do you not think that governments cooperate? I think you might want to rethink your ideas if that's your definition of privacy and freedom.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto never used Bitcointalk - new claim by Craig Wright on: April 29, 2020, 11:04:47 PM
...snip...

Unless you've edited them, I've found at least 3 of your posts supporting Satoshi as being the potential author.

Either way, I don't appreciate being called a liar when I've been nothing but truthful about being friends with Satoshi on Ning.

Satoshi was the 'author' of BTC. Craig Wright is NOT Satoshi.

Either way, it's not the real satoshi that 'friended' you on ning. We have clearly established that above.

This misdirection by you is clearly unacceptable and has already been spotted by many ...

Alas, the spotters themselves have been spotted.

114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which investment is a safe haven Gold or Bitcoin? on: April 29, 2020, 10:55:51 PM
Gold is obviously the safer haven. Bitcoin might rise to $20K or it might fall to $500.
115  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 350 dollars, Eth or Bitcoin? on: April 29, 2020, 04:34:16 PM
Hey guys my first post here, long time lurker first time poster haha anyhow like the title of the thread says, how would you spend 350 dollars(cad)? I am looking at eth or bitcoin but bitcoin is pretty pricey so i am leaning towards eth. I am just curious as to what your guys thoughts might be especially at this stage close to halving? i am playing it safe, i am not too interested in other altcoins just sticking with the top guns right now.

My pick between those two would be ETH. I think BTC is overvalued currently. And ETH less overvalued.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A perspective of the future of Bitcoin.. on: April 29, 2020, 04:20:34 PM
I consider that I am one of the lucky ones who entered the world of Crypto and learned a lot from him. Indeed, I discovered that the real wealth from this field has gained me by obtaining privacy, decentralization and financial freedom that cannot be controlled by governments or banks.
In addition, I still dream of making a second fortune when bitcoin rises.

1. Bitcoin transactions are NOT private.
2. Bitcoin is not decentralized.
3. You can't have true freedom without privacy.
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto holds 980,000 Bitcoins.. does anyone know their addresses? on: April 29, 2020, 04:17:54 PM
I believe that satoshi nakamoto has a lot of bitcoin, and I still believe that satoshi nakamoto is alive and certainly satoshi nakamoto will keep the future progress of bitcoin.

The main programmer behind Bitcoin is deceased. However, there are still members living from the original team.

Based on your rantings, I think this bitcointalk account must have been compromised.

I knew the real BitcoinFX.

You truly are a clown MicroGuy.

This is my long standing account and it has never been compromised.

Goodbye.

Interesting that when Satoshi used Nour on P2P Foundation you weren't so confident his account was hacked.

I guess you need to understand when I'm being satirical and/or facetious.

This forum is nothing like it used to be and neither is the 'Bitcoin' space being presented herein.

You now know the facts here MicroGuy or you have been easily duped.

Unless you've edited them, I've found at least 3 of your posts supporting Satoshi as being the potential author.

Either way, I don't appreciate being called a liar when I've been nothing but truthful about being friends with Satoshi on Ning.

The fact of the matter is, Blockstream cannot allow the truth above to be revealed/accepted.

This is because it would throw a wrench in the works in terms of their hidden agenda for Bitcoin.

The fact of the matter is, you 'MicroGuy' are a manipulating liar and also seemingly complicit ...

I think it's perfectly normal that a Ning account would gain followers over time. This isn't anything out of the ordinary.

What do you mean "known to be" compromised?

https://www.trustnodes.com/2018/11/30/did-satoshi-nakamoto-just-say-nour-and-who-is-wagner-tamanaha-nakamotos-new-friend

It is known that the 'satoshi' email account associated with the ning account was compromised. Hence why you only appear after this snapshot ...
