Proof-of-Luck is an interesting new proof-of-concept. Do you plan to release a whitepaper with some more details?

it depends on if you want to create a new coin from scratch with new features and tech or if you want to copy an existing one. if first holds, you need really deep programming, mathmatical and cryptographic skills. i would say, you need years of experience in those fields in oder to create a good and secure coin. if second holds, you actually don't need good skills. you even can create a coin with some of the generators or just follow one of the many tutorials in order to copy a coin.

I am considering to store some of my crypto currency related files (statistics, personal reviews, even some keys and passwords ) into a cloud. I want to store them encrypted, so that I need only one passphrase to access all the data. Do you have a recommendation of a secure cloud service?

i like the idea of decentralized exchanges because i made a lot bad experience with centralized ones. the question is, if all that works like you are planning. currently, decentralized services in common have a latency time to execute actions which could be a problem for exchanges.

That is really exemplary procedure to keep the community informed. i like it! Daily updates on the future of digital currency: https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=3156.0On a side note, why do the people in the altcoin section seem so much more intelligent than the knuckleheads in the general forum? I think when Satoshi vanished, all the good coders came over here. From my experience, i would say Nxt devs are one of the most active ones. They deliver constantly what they have promised.

That's a good one. i am going to try some of them and will report here how good it works.

@box0211: Thanks for sharing. i am wondering if the transfering of the passphrase for transactions is save for such online clients?

Bitcoin's march toward legitimacy just took a hop, skip and jump with the news that the New York Stock Exchange is going to start monitoring its value. The NYSE Bitcoin Index (NYBXT) will keep a beady eye on how much the cryptocurrency is worth, relative to the US dollar, with the data being pulled from Coinbase. http://www.engadget.com/2015/05/19/nyse-bitcoin-index/

San Francisco-based bitcoin company Coinbase has suspended operations in Wyoming until further notice. A company blog post cited the Wyoming Division of Banking’s recent regulatory legislation as a decisive factor for ceasing business in the western US state, noting it would render continued operations impractical. http://www.coindesk.com/coinbase-suspends-operations-in-wyoming

My criteria:
1) Good volume 2) Supporting community 3) Skilled developers 4) Future and promising plans 5) Something new compared to existing / other coins

Sorry for the odd question, but cannot find a way to add further account. What dropdown menu do you mean? Can you please implement multi Nxt account management in one of the upcoming releases? it's hard to manage all different accounts if you use one for every purpose.
Its already implemented. Just use the 1.5.x branch and select your account from the dropdown menu

DGEX is a niche exchange with low volume. it was released as the new top exchange over a year ago, especially for Nxt. But it has never reached its own standards. So, you don't need to wonder.
