10961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: (XEM) NEM Speculation thread on: April 08, 2015, 09:45:04 AM
Currently, the XEM price seems to be backed between 90 and 110 Satoshi. There are big trading walls on both sides. This is good for stability but I guess the most buying and selling offers have been set up some days ago without changing in the meantime. It's time to get onto other exchange to create a competition and increase trading liquidity and volatility. I know that there is no priority from the devs to get onto other exchange but it should be for the community to spread NEM further.
10962  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: April 08, 2015, 09:36:43 AM
Forget the idea to use faucets. They are not worth the time and work. In my opinion, there are currently three options to really earn Bitcoins or altcoins steadily:

First, sign for an honest signature program (find an good overview here). You can make up to 0.1 BTC weekly depending on your member rank.

Second, offer some service where you are good in like web designing, programming, video editing, translating or something else in the services section here. If you are good you will make some good earnings.

Third, invest into serious and reliable assets on the Nxt Asset Exchange which increases in value and usually paying dividends. I know Nxt is controversial for most BTC users, but it is the most well-engineered and matured asset platform in the crypto world so far.
10963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread -100% Original Codebase - Over 70 Team Members on: April 08, 2015, 09:26:25 AM
Importance of 1.6%oo in basis points means an real importance of 0.016%. So your chance is 1:6250 to harvest the next block if all stakeholders are harvesting at the same time. A new block is created every minute therefore you should find a new block every 6250 minutes (about each 10 hours) in average. Since it is unlikely that every stakeholder is harvesting at the same time your chance to find next block increases with each stakeholder which is not harvesting. Thus, the probability should be higher than 0.016% or 1:6250.

Hope that helps!

OK, i have my importance 1.6% but how often should we harvest blocks?

Good job for the opening post. Now it is more clear and all information are gathered on one place on the blog.

You mean the moment when you realize you bet on great tech  Cool

Hi guys how's your Node/NAS/NXT Shitcoin doing?

That moment you realise your coin is just one of many and isn't going to be creating any new economy anything soon. Lolololollolololol

Someone here to answer this question?
I run nix.runNis.sh and nix.runNcc.sh. But what is nix.runMon.sh for?  Huh

10969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: April 02, 2015, 12:34:21 PM
Wow, it's great! I registered and wanted to buy a song but I am a little afraid of typing in my secret key. Couldn't it be solved in an other way? E. g. charging the account with some Nxt before purchasing...

I missed this one... Melodius testers needed

Anyone that wants to test melodius, please go here: http://92.222.18.108/register_page.php
and setup an account.  PM me with your username and I will PM you back your registration link (email is not setup while in beta so I can manually allow accounts)

Thanks!

Edit:  There is also a Slack group for melodius for discussion about bugs and features.

Starting the client I got the following message:

STARTUP ERROR: The application was not closed correctly!

I restarted my computer and even unzipped and started Qora again, but without success. Any idea how to get it run again?

Sorry, it was the wrong thread.
10972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: (XEM) NEM Speculation thread on: April 01, 2015, 10:10:24 AM
From where do you know that sell-offs will lead to a better distribution. When one user buys the stake of a whale you have still one person who holds the same amount of coins.

Lets wait and see.currently it aint pretty, selling all time low.

Less "whales" are good. bigger sell-offs means a better distribution. The wealth of whales is being dumped into more people hands. I think this is healthy for NEM Economy. Dare I say, furthering egalitarianism. interesting...huh.

Good to hear. Now we need to get on more exchanges again. Poloniex should be the next. Qora is still frozen there.

Wallet update, article, winning in poll.. so many good things happen almost simultaneously! We're in a good roadmap!  Smiley Smiley Smiley

Actually the block explorer is on https://chain.nem.ninja/
But it seems it is not available at the moment.

Where is the link to blockchain explorer? And how long is during a transaction? I'm waiting now for 50 minutes??
10976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread -NEM has launched[Updates&Discussion] on: March 31, 2015, 08:12:28 PM
Try to create a new wallet and then import your existing nem account. Worked for me.
HI, I have installed 0.625. have java 8 installed.  I previously had the beta client with my saved wallet.  When I try to open my old wallet using the password which I know is correct, I receive a message, ERROR 121
The address book file does not exist,

any ideas?

10979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | 100% POS | Assets | Names | Voting | Open Source on: March 31, 2015, 03:27:52 PM
one more question. i have the client running, but the syncronization status is always yellow. Can I see somewhere the progress of syncronization?
10980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: (XEM) NEM Speculation thread on: March 31, 2015, 11:36:04 AM
IMHO one XEM will be at least the worth of one NXT.

So, NXT has a current worth of about 4300 sat. This means the worth of XEM will be around 500 sat.
