Looks like we'll be getting to that 30% correction.
1022  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 22, 2021, 09:37:56 PM
Forget it, after that announcement 43K.

LoL, like 43 is a sure thing .... Damn man have hear those bear predictions so many times for the last 6-7 years ... Its all BS imo and all nothing burgers just like most if not all TA and stuff

A drop, possible, rise possible as well its just a coinflip for the traders and a whatever for the long term hodlers...

Gonna hit the HODLnest and keep on the HODL.

Just looking at support levels.
I'm not selling but people are stupid and we know what happens with FUD news and a panic.
Hope we don't dip below 50K at all but if it does who knows where it goes.

When there are TA's suggesting up, then i'm all ears... if not then whatever support, rsi, wma, fib, clouds, triangles, whatever of those things... Its all just noise and indicators to lose money or to make people scared etc nothing more...

People user account increase,  halvings--> decreasing supply, scarcity, FIAT out of thin air, inflation .... just give me this above whatever TA BS anyday...

That 43k roughly matches a 30% correction from ATH, which is traditionally the kind of pullback we get in a pull market. I think 45k is a safer bet which is more of an exact 30% correction. Do I want it to go down there? No. Will I buy more corn if it does? Yep.

Looks like the PI Cycle top indicator was right once again. I was suspecting a similar run to 2013. Double top with a bearish summer between. Was watching the Pi cycle top indicator for months on a daily basis. Yet all other indicators showed we are not there yet. Looks like a bearish summer indeed.

no no no no no no no no no no no no no

stop that negative vibe this instant !

True! We are still millionairs right  Smiley

It's just so hard to take profits. I never took any profit in the last 8 years. And it's always this greedy thinking "what if I take profits and we go higher...". I bet many here are trapped in this swampy thinking as well no?

My first goal was to take profits at 40k. Then I Moved it to 50k. Then I said ok 60k for sure. And so on... Now I say ok 95k.

Not taking profits has been a good plan. Be thankful you're not one of the many who sold early. I have decided to hold onto all my coins until we see a parabolic move and even then I'll sell only 20% at most, with the goal to buy back in. However, I have a feeling I won't even do that.

Basically, I'm not fucking selling.

@sebdebandt
This isn't the cycle top.
#bitcoin  has been trading within 20% of ATH for 51 days.
That's not what a top looks like.
Zoom out.

Speaking of past cycles, there is something interesting I've noticed in the present bull run which resembles the 2017's bull run. We can divide 2016-2017 bull run in two parts. The first is from May 2016 to May 2017. The price increased around 600% from the average price 500$ to 3000$. At the same time 3000$ is a 300% increase from the previous ATH 1000$. Then we had 2 months sideways action in the range 10-20% below the 3K ATH. And from August 2017 to December 2017 the price increased 600-700%. And now we have exactly the same situation as in the Summer of 2017 - 600% from the base of 10K in May 2020 and 300% from the last ATH of 20K. We have already 1-2 months of sidewasy action, so it remains to be seen if the next 6 months will repeat the 2017 pattern of 600-700%. Starting from 60K that would be a top between 360K and 420K.  Shocked I can live with that  Wink I mean, literally  Grin And this time I really doubt we will see a 85% bottom from the last ATH. IMO it will be more like 35-55%-ish.

Yes, that would do nicely.   Smiley

Curious to know who drive again the price down... Didn't think there are still much people to liquidate after the drop to 50K$...

Then we reached 57K last night.. to go back now to the 54K' (or less?).. really ?

Yes it is annoying, but give it time and this consolidation phase will pass.
1026  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 21, 2021, 10:49:12 AM
Thinking out aloud here. My thoughts are we are now in a 2013 type market. I don't think we'll get a huge dump like we saw in April of that year, 30% correction from highs at most, but I think that we will be doing a lot of sideways action for several months.

On chain is still showing coins being moved off exchange to hodlers, this is good and will be the reason for the next pump, but like a halving, this takes time to flow through to price.

Weekend shenanigan. It's the only time they can do it. Everyone buying on Monday will love them.
1028  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 18, 2021, 04:29:11 AM
Yeah wow, what a dip. I've missed a lot of it I see.

Quick! Quick! sell BTC and buy fiat, fiat with about 20% a year inflation is the receipe for success.
1029  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 18, 2021, 02:21:15 AM

$60,000 not holding at the moment. Those fucking weekend bears.

Yep, every weekend this happens, getting tedious.

Temp low now I reckon, going back to 61000k now. Just needs to break that to get us out of this down channel.
1030  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 17, 2021, 01:24:21 PM
A drop since the Coinbase IPO launch, while shitcoins pump. Oh what a surprise.  Roll Eyes  Tongue

I swear, you can set a clock to all the bull trap/bear trap games these traders play.

I set one of mine in 2013, hasn't missed a second since.

Looks like we are in a short term down channel, support at 59k resistance at 62k. I'm thinking we don't get to support though, and we'll break resistence when we hit it again. My buy orders are set, I have no sell orders.

Shit coins will crash again, just like clockwork
1031  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 16, 2021, 06:32:43 AM

Expect increased purchasing of BTC in Turkey from now on then.
1032  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 16, 2021, 06:29:24 AM
Will it be 61-63k for a month now like 57-59?

Doge? wtf Cheesy

I hear doge is going to be the new BTC. Nah, just kidding but wouldn't surprise me if plenty of shills are out their saying that.

What's nuts though is everything. XRP for gods sake, and binance coin?? Seriously, a coin for a dodgy exchange worth almost 80 billion.

I don't like where this is going. Not because I'm worried these oscillators will dethrone BTC, they will have their 90% crashes again, but rather that this kind of crazy stuff has signified market tops in the past.
1033  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 15, 2021, 11:00:23 AM
are we poor again? i cant remember the cutoff points anymore

Maybe not poor but I'm surprised that we are slowly drifting down. After breaking through heavy resistance like we did I thought we would of pushed higher to a 15-20% move. Can still happen of course, but I wonder if the shitcoins are stripping too many BTC buyers away right now. Good for the institutions though, on chain is still showing that the larger players are hoovering the coins up.

It very much seems like there is someone out there doing everything they can to keep this thing under 60k. I would love to know why. When this thing breaks though it is going to 70k very quickly.

Ugh.

I know I am constantly defending the idea of "Bitcoin Banks", and "Trusted second layers" which probably ruffles cypherpunk feathers a little...  And I stand by the idea that bitcoin is big enough for "all the things".

But this?

This smells like NYA 2.0 Sad  It's the same usual suspects, all of them seem to be anti-segwit.  The Square team is the only one that seem like it ever had a pro lightinig stance.  I dunno.. I feel like Fidelity has been a good actor.  But I do not trust that bald f^%k.

The next war begins.  Get ready for a push for PoS, the rejection of the Lightning network etc.  I imagine this time there will be a public marketing campaign to sell the ideas... I have a feeling it is gonna get nasty as hell.

I am most worried about the seeming inevitable push for PoS.  Because would a group of the biggest custodians benefit from PoS?  Yes.  They would.

I hope I am wrong.

Yeah PoS is downright near evil in my opinion. Talk about giving power to rich. PoW means miners have to actually work, make capital investments, develop future strategies etc. If they make shitty decisions they will get weeded out by the market. PoS means the rich, can simply sit on their riches and get new coins without doing any work at all. They will therefore always hold onto power, and with no running costs like PoW miners, their piles of riches will never decrease, only grow. Hell, PoS is even better then owning politicians or succesfully lobbying government, the protocol becomes their's without any effort.

PoS must be avoided at all costs, to fail in this mission means a certain return to lords and serfs.

This got anything to do with the recent drop? I'd say probably not but who knows, plenty of idiots easily scared

Everyone knew he was going down though.

Yeah for sure but fuck knows; it's like some people want a reason to be affected by FUD

ha, I hear ya.

Poor again.
Lost all your fiat to forgotten buy orders?  Wink

Corn price going lower than I'm comfortable with at this time. Was hoping we'd be closer to $60k by now.

Got a ranch to build. That shit doesn't come cheap.

As an alternative, fiat is cheap. It would be possible to get a temp fiat loan to hold you over.
1040  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 07, 2021, 11:49:56 AM
Support line just above 54k. Let's see if we hit it.

Is price being pushed down prior to coinbase IPO and US ETFs?

Just remember that the lower the USD price the more BTC you get for your fiat. 1 BTC = 1 BTC
