1021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nitrogen Sports is proud to offer "high odds" and high limits? on: February 19, 2019, 05:21:34 AM
The over lines were never at evens when you checked. When you saw 1.87, the Under was at 1.97. This is a 4.2% margin which is only slightly higher than Pinnacle's 3.6% and understandable for a game that sportsbooks can't very accurately price. This is consistent with other sharp books. All books shifted the line upward (likely due to sharps hammering the over), and Nitrogen's volume is almost certainly not high enough to cause line movement. The Over 311 line also started on Jan 15 as 1.93 evens on Pinnacle, so 1.92 evens on Nitrogen. Not their fault you didn't bet early enough. I highly doubt any book offered 1.93 or higher when Pinnacle was down to 1.87 as only slow moving sportsbooks would still treat the line as evens and they generally run 1.91 or lower evens.

If it was 1.87 evens, then you can complain. But, that was never the case when you saw the line, and if Over 311 was a 50/50 bet, then you'd get 1.92 odds from Nitrogen. This is like complaining that they don't give you 1.92 odds for a full Manchester City squad to beat Huddersfield in the EPL (top team vs bottom team), which is very reasonable as the chance is not 50%.

Pinnacle allowed you to buy a point or sell a point for higher odds, just like they do with all NBA games - but Nitrogen did not allow it this time.
For instance, when the line went up to 313 you could have easily bet OVER 315.5 for over 2.XX odds in Pinnacle but Nitrogen (1) did not offer these options (2) had the stakes limited to half a Bitcoin.

Also unlike Pinnacle, Nitrogen doesn't allow you to bet 0.5 BTC and then place another 0.5 BTC ... once you hit the limit you can't place any other bet until the limit is raised - Pinnacle does allow you to place several bets on these big events.

So the comparison you made to Pinnacle is not similar neither for these reasons.
1022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The owner of Bet365.com pocketed $1,000,000 every day in 2017 on: February 18, 2019, 06:46:46 PM
Is op suggesting that the owner of the gambling business is fraudulent or something?
Guess there is  something special about her gambling centers that makes  gamblers attracted to them?
I guess this is one of the reasons people should embrace the blockchain gambling

I am the OP and I am not suggesting the owner is defrauding other people, however the type of business she's running is an unscrupulous business, however you want to look it - now you can be an affiliate, run their promos, promote Bet365 and like the old saying "if you can't beat them - join them" - but all I'm saying is that this way of making money is in some way dishonest (not fraud), it's unscrupulous, it's not something I would be proud of if I was in her shoes.
1023  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Developerx11 is Scammer on: February 18, 2019, 02:14:34 PM
Just another retarded scammer.
Dude, don't go at any discord or telegram private chats with this guy because he will twist your words.
Always and only in this public topic.

hahaha yeah i wont, he will play with words at all..thats most scammer do everywhere.

I have to agree I don't understand why developer cannot simply pay you instead of hassling you or asking for more actions from your end etc.
Seriously, developer, just send poly his rightful amount using Bitcoin and get this thread closed - why are you going around with this?

 Huh
1024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2018-2019 betting on: February 18, 2019, 12:50:29 PM
Isn't it about the likelihood of event to occurr ?!

No, it's not.
If you had believed the game would go UNDER you could have had UNDER 319 for 1.64:
https://www.oddsportal.com/basketball/usa/nba/team-lebron-team-giannis-xneZl3Je/#over-under;1;319.00;0

Does that mean that 1.64 increases the "likelihood of that event to occur"? No.

Sometimes games end near the line and "buying a point" might be worth it, but you can never know when it would happen and by placing 1.60 bets you are killing your bankroll.

Even taking UNDER 330 in the All Star game, in live ... would have been a losing bet ... the fact the initial line was 315 and you get live line of 330 doesn't necessarily mean it would be "under".
1025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nitrogen Sports is proud to offer "high odds" and high limits? on: February 18, 2019, 11:44:56 AM
I don't understand NBA, it's impossible for me to take a bet. but it seems to be a big topic, the place is also big, and I once had a problem with nitrogen sport, I didn't dare to bet there again.

Can I ask what was your problem with them?
1026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2018-2019 betting on: February 18, 2019, 07:47:28 AM

I think you are overreacting here. The Spread for even odds(1.91x) was 315 points. He is betting at lower odds to have a better chance to win the bet. First know what the spread is before reacting to the odds. The game ended with 342 points, so an easy win.

The opening odds were 311, not 315.
I did look at the numbers many hours before it even started.
So I do know what the spread was, and just letting him know, regardless of what he bets on - it's better to get higher odds than risk it like this, especially in the NBA where teasers are mainly losers' bets.

The only way to profit "long term" is either - not to gamble at all - or - take only EVEN odds or 1.90 minimum, otherwise the bankroll is destined to get wiped out.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2018-2019 betting on: February 18, 2019, 06:45:42 AM

Total points - Over 310.5 @ 1.63

Wow, these are terrible, but simply terrible odds!
You realize you lost 37% of your stakes when you accepted 1.63 - when people like you accept these bets they turn gambling into a sucker's game, seriously ... how could you accept 1.63? That's just terrible ... even if it won - betting on low odds like this will annihilate your bankroll/deposits sooner than later ...

When you bet over/under you need to take 1.90 minimum, if not more ... and if you bookie doesn't have it - look for another one who does.
1028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Nitrogen Sports is proud to offer "high odds" and high limits? on: February 18, 2019, 06:43:33 AM
Last night there was the NBA All Star Game.
The over/under line was 311, and went up towards the game.

Every possibility of betting on the over was limited with 1.87 odds at most (i.e. you lose 13% of your stakes, the under bettors lose 100% of it).

The limit was 0.5 BTC (ish), even towards the game it was 0.78 BTC, less than 1 BTC.

Nitrogen probably got lots of action on the over, but the odds were terrible.

Normal bookies in such events let you bet with much higher stakes, and with much better odds (e.g. 1.93-1.95) .... but Nitrogen offered extremely terrible odds and also had terrible limit on the NBA All Star game. It's a huge event, how come it was so limited?

The only explanation I can think of is that Nitrogen got so many over bets - so they paid them out with 13% juice/vig however you call it.
1029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler's mindset! on: February 18, 2019, 06:39:50 AM
Well have a mind of winning your bet to me is a greedy mind and may lead you to develop high blood pressure if you must be a gambler and a trader both in crypto currency and exchange. Most of the successful gamblers do it for fun of it and that is how one should handle gambling so as to reduce it's effect on you when you lose.

Are you sure "most of the successful gamblers do it for fun"?
If they do it for fun then they are not "successful", aren't they?

And if they are successful then they must do it on a "professional" basis - the thing is even with professional poker players - you won't hear about the dozens if not thousands of players who lost the plot, got suicide, went bankrupt, and what's not.

Gambling is a game of losers, the only "professionals" who make money from it - are the ones behind the "house" because the house always wins (reminds me of Nitrogen sports offering not more than 1.87 odds on the "over" in the NBA All Star game ... they took 13% from every winner and 100% of losses from under bettors ... is it fair? Any winner who had bet on the over lost 13% of his original stakes - automatically) ... some other sites were even more rude offering 1.75 or so.

Gambling is a game of losers, you can find an edge at some few events, but even then - it's not 100% certain, and the risk of getting sucked into it is so much higher - that you are almost destined to lose it all .... so it's a losing proposition one way or another.
1030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Perfect Dice experience on: February 18, 2019, 06:34:26 AM
the design, the withdrawal time (instant, automatic) and the community (must have some sort of chat)
Chat is important so the players can enjoy playing together and also some sharing of tips lol

The chat is mainly used by some beggars asking for "loans" and other types of shady requests.
The game itself whilst might be provably fair - doesn't seem to make it enticing for all users, gambling is a losing proposition one way or another.

If you're paranoid, you can keep track of blocks here :

https://www.blockchain.com/btc/blocks

You can see there's a 1h30min gap between the last block and the one after it, the network is having a hard time finding them.

Every time a new block is found, see if it included your tx.

Doesn't seem reasonable.
1033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Transaction with decent fee stuck without confirmations on: February 17, 2019, 10:25:14 AM
There is a new block now, your tx was not included. I guess it will be in the next one though.

I told you, it doesn't seem to be normal.
Could there be any technical fault with this?
Have you experienced something like this before?
Any feedback is appreciated, thanks.

1034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Transaction with decent fee stuck without confirmations on: February 17, 2019, 10:02:49 AM
The last mined block was at 8:38 and your transaction was at 8:44....

So its normal. No blocks mined for over an hour, it happens sometimes. Nothing wrong with your transaction.

Last mined block: https://www.blockchain.com/nl/btc/block/0000000000000000001c08a03f45739692fa9e32e4b3684b7d8d97a405e7f23d

Your transaction: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/40a076cced744360d130652ab146ab85d45028315657dea8c5c76b8593db892d

Look at the time received.

So why viaBTC says "Transaction has been confirmed" ?
1035  Economy / Gambling discussion / NBA All Star 2019 - Total Points in the game - Over or Under 312 Points?! on: February 17, 2019, 09:59:51 AM
I must say this game is quite interesting because this is not a regular game where 2 teams are competing against each other, here we have players from different teams playing for one side and competing against other players - it's a mixture of all the NBA players into 1 interesting night.

Nonetheless - the bookies want to take part in this night and thus they offer betting options on this game. What I really liked investigating so far is the total points that will be scored in this game.

Between 2014 and 2017 the All Star games have easily crossed the 300 line, in 2017 they scored a total amount of 374 points!

In 2018, last year, the oddsmakers  set the line as 332.5 and the game ended with 293 points, Team LeBron (East) managed to beat Team Stephen (West) by 3 points, and the tight game also was a factor that kept the scoring board with less than 300 points in total.

What about 2019?

If you check out this video you can see another interesting angle to it:

https://www.nba.com/bucks/video/teams/bucks/2019/02/16/2469012/1550361471972-all-star-defense-021619-2469012

Giannis, the captain of Team Giannis (East) has chosen lots of defensive players in his lineup, he is actually asking his teammates to put lots of emphasis on the defensive part of the game.

Now... usually in these All Star games there is quite a common concept that the players don't play any defense, they just play for the show and to make it fun ... so the million dollar question is - will 2018 repeat itself or are we going to experience what we had in 2017 ?

According to several betting forums, I see a tendency to bet on the OVER in this one, because 312 points is not a huge number, it requires less than 80 points in each quarter, and 80 points is definitely not a huge number where the players are relaxing their defense.

However,

In my opinion, we could be heading to a 2nd consecutive year where defense has more emphasis in the game and it won't be just dunks and 3s, in fact I would expect a nice amount of misses from the 3 point line, as well as ball stealing, blocks and other defensive show from both sides.

Don't be surprised if you get a 50-60 point quarter in this one neither!

TLDR --> in my opinion this one is going to be UNDER 312 points. Expect more defensive actions from both teams. Good Luck and enjoy the game!  Grin
1036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Bitcoin Transaction with decent fee stuck without confirmations on: February 17, 2019, 09:48:36 AM
The following Bitcoin transaction doesn't seem to get confirmed:

https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/40a076cced744360d130652ab146ab85d45028315657dea8c5c76b8593db892d

We have tried submitting it using the "ViaBTC" website to accelerate it - and the message says "Transaction has been confirmed"

But it has 0 confirmations and it doesn't seem to get any confirmations so far.

Does anyone have any idea what's wrong with this one?!
1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CloudBet allegedly defrauding customer for 330.58 Bitcoins? on: February 17, 2019, 06:10:14 AM
The scam accusation is the place where the original claimer posted so he could show everyone what cloudbet did, the other cloudbet topic is run by cloudbet itself. I feel like this is more like viewers point of view type of topic so I think this should stay as well. At least we can talk here without the user and the cloudbet both going back and forth with each other and just talk among ourselves about what happened.

I agree about that.
Whilst the thread in scam accusation is the appropriate place for that discussion - this is a god thread to discuss the topic without CB and the user involved.

One thing that bothers me the most is the amount of deposit the user could add into his CB account ... 129 BTC is a lot of money, by all means whatsoever ... even if CB claims they are contacting their licensee in Curacao (which is useless) - they are the one to be blamed for this incident ... how can you think a 129 BTC deposit from someone?

1 BTC? ok
10 BTC? well, it's a lot but some websites take that amount....

But 100+ BTC? That's huge, over $300,000 ..... only BetFair takes these amounts but I'm sure they scrutinize the depositor and give him hell before he can get to that position of depositing so much money ... CB did it without any type of verification - they should be blamed for this IMO.
1038  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Developerx11 is Scammer on: February 16, 2019, 08:01:06 PM
Developer,

You acted in an extremely bad faith in the Oracle thread that you opened about a week ago, you failed to communicate with us - and by doing grace with you we decided not give you any negative feedback as we don't want to damage your account.

But honestly, why don't you become a better person and stop cheating other people? Karma is a bad thing, don't mess up with it please.

Just sending this reminder for people to read.
Developer - I've been going through the messages here and you don't seem to act in good faith with other members here neither.

Just based on my experience alone I would mark it as a negative experience, but I've decided to give you a pass.
Nonetheless - please don't try to fool other people here, you would only find it going against you.

Respect the other members - and thus you shall get respected likewise. Right now you seem to go in the other path and it's not favoring you in any way whatsoever.

1040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there a "betfair" for bitcoin up and running yet? on: February 15, 2019, 08:37:23 AM
You can use a betting agent with Bitcoin such as AsianConnect88, BetInAsia and others - and deposit your Bitcoin with them and withdraw via Bitcoin with them as well.

They can open for you an account with Orbit Exchange or 9Wickets which are BetFair clones!

This way you would participate, indirectly, in the real BetFair website - and would pay even smaller commissions (3% instead of 5% on the winnings).
