1021  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: April 08, 2015, 05:45:22 PM
If the miners are mining to a local pool, and the pool is connecting to the bitcoin network over satellite, then the lag will be minimal. Trying to actually mine over satellite would be awful.
1022  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Cloud Services legit? on: April 03, 2015, 03:25:41 AM
Hello, i found this company (Bitcoin Cloud Services) and its giving awesome contracts for 1 year so i would like to know is it legit?
Its had BITCOIN Silver Foundation licence but i still would like to know from members here, Also does BITCOIN Silver Foundation licence giving the trust to companies? because i think its given to supporters only.
(Sorry for my bad english)

The foundation level just means BCS paid for it. The Bitcoin Foundation doesn't do any trust verification of companies.

BCS refuses to provide any evidence that they are actually mining. By all accounts, they appear to be a well-run ponzi.
1023  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: April 01, 2015, 04:22:07 PM
Don't forget potential cooling costs as the northern hemisphere starts to warm up. I've turned off my .9 J/GH miners because AC costs eat up the rest of any potential profit. Difficulty is jumping up again in a few days, too.
1024  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: March 30, 2015, 02:17:02 AM
Theres a bitcoin miner born every minute.

25 every 10 minutes.  Grin

Syke,  Yes, unfortunately we agree but will work diligently to correct over time.  Thanks, Tom

Great, let me know when he's gone and then I can consider your facility for my hosting needs.
1026  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: OregonMines Group Buy $399 Colocated SP20s CC's Accepted on: March 30, 2015, 12:04:45 AM
Oregon Mines/DG Rollins did not acquire any part of the operations of Minersource and cannot assume responsibility for issues arising between Minersource and its clients.

You do get to inherit his bad reputation, which now spoils yours.
1027  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Buying Monarch from BFL on: March 28, 2015, 04:30:11 PM
Stay away from BFL products. They are too expensive, use too much electricity, are too slow, are prone to failure and leaking, and are from a company that will likely not be in business to support the product in a few months. You'll just be wasting your money like so many people before you.
1028  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think Buffett was right? on: March 27, 2015, 03:52:32 PM
The guy has a lot of zeros on the end of his account balance for sure, but if you measure it in ROI % then there are a few people on this forum that have massively outperformed Buffet.

Over the last 5 years, Birkshire Hathaway has performed roughly equal to the DJIA and the NASDAQ. Extremely underwhelming for someone supposedly great at stocks.
1029  Other / Meta / Re: Just remove signatures already. As in delete, disable, gone. on: March 26, 2015, 05:38:18 AM
In the meantime you can disable signatures in your profile under 'look and layout preferences' > 'Don't show users' signatures.' BTW this option is probably going to be used to justify keeping signatures around. "Why you can disable it if you don't like it" they will say.

Thanks for the reminder. I've never seen a sig worth reading. I've turned all sigs off.

8 months to be exact. Those ponzis operated in different circumstances with diff going over the roof. Besides
as I have said, I do not care. And we will be here for long time Wink

Now where did I hear that before...

PB Mining is here to stay.

The parallels are quite canny.

Bow wow wow... Wink
Eveyone who thinks I have no hashrate is an idiot. Running ponzi without the hashrate is impossible for such a long time because difficulty is not rising as it used to. Just do the maths.

Anyone who thinks you have hashrate without proof is an idiot.

"long time"? Your ponzi has run what, 7 months? ROFLMAO. You do not have a "long time". We have lots of ponzi's that have been running longer than that.
1032  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Economics says that mining should be profitable... So why is it unprofitable? on: March 24, 2015, 05:05:45 AM
However, the reality today is that most miners do not make a profit - i.e. the above model does not explain why things are the way they are. Does anyone know the reasons for this?

.5 J/GH miner, 1 TH/s, $.15/kwh:

Daily Income: $2.87
Daily Expense: $1.80

Still quite profitable if you have a modern miner.
1033  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ▁ ▂ ▄ ▅ ▆ Cloudmining 101 (ponzi risk assessment) ▆ ▅ ▄ ▂ ▁ on: March 24, 2015, 02:54:31 AM
Basically I really do not see any reason to answer to any of those questions to show the hashrate, disclose how much we have sold etc.

So you don't have the hashrate. Ponzi.
1034  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: March 24, 2015, 02:49:22 AM
Anyone know what the deal is with Minersource?

I am still  missing 2 BA X1 Miners from them.

Their site is down.

I know BA is saying Minersource never paid them and actualy screwed BA over by convincing a Customer Service Employee to send them hardware.

Is there a class action lawsuit against them?

Is there a new thread?

I am a little lost now on what to do? Lucky I paid for the 2nd order with Cash so I would get cash back vs the first order I payed with BTC witch I received.

What should I do?

You are screwed and will likely have to sue MS or Matt Carson.

Definitely screwed. The time and cost to sue MS would likely cost more than the X1s. And then if you actually do get a judgement against MS, it's likely there's nothing left of MS and you'll never collect. The chance to sue MS was many many months ago.
1035  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: November 16th, 2015, 9am, Courtroom 7D AKA Hi Jody Drake on: March 20, 2015, 10:52:00 PM
Sorry, not Josh.  I just find it amusing that so many are still so sore after so long.

Move on, you'll feel better.

Sonny, is that you? You finally returned to BCT? Welcome back.
1036  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud mining / contracts - share your experience on: March 19, 2015, 07:20:37 PM
ive been happy with PBMining, constant payouts, competitive prices, and 5 year contracts.. even though in a couple years your contract will be making chump change but its still something Smiley

check my sig  \/

How's that PBMining working out for you?
1037  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 19, 2015, 06:04:03 PM
or is that pegging their rig pricing on BTC rather than US $
They price in USD.  You can see the BTC amount vary over time with the USD amount staying the same (except for when they adjust that because reasons).

While the final price is in USD, they also consider BTC ROI in coming up with the USD price.
1038  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cloudmining.website New puppy in cloud mining on: March 19, 2015, 02:03:24 AM
I found in CMW FAQ that their minimum contract period is one year. Can anyone with long term mining experience confirm whether a miner stays equally active all through the year ?

Doesn't matter. CMW doesn't actually have any miners.
1039  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: starting a small farm, should I get s5? on: March 17, 2015, 12:16:39 AM
Hard to say what will happen in the next few months. As of right now, the S5 is the best miner that is sorta available new.
1040  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ClearHash.Net - Trusted Bitcoin Cloud Mining Services - 0.0008 BTC per GHs on: March 17, 2015, 12:00:03 AM
hmmm, FALSE means what? You conclude based on what? You sentence makes no sense.

1) We are happy to provide proof in the coming weeks

Yet you won't provide that proof now. Why, because you don't have the mining hardware?
