Thanks very much for nice explanation. I will support XSPEC, please create light secure wallet, like Electrum.
Already asking for alternative PC wallets here haha. Although personally I like lightweight wallets like Electrum more than fancy UI designs, I'm afraid that this will not be a top priority for many months until the 'main goals' of the project have been fulfilled, or someone from outside of the official dev team decides to make an alternative wallet. Maybe ask again when we have a market cap like 50M, maybe some more people will be interested in this then. Most people seem to be fine with heavy HTML based fancy UI based wallets.

It depends on what you want to accomplish. - Do you only want to enable people to make payments between each other in a general-purpose currency? Then there is no need to create a new coin for it, just use an existing one.
- Do you want to make an in-game currency that can be traded against fiat? Make a new chain based on an existing coin's source code, and give a new name to it. Optionally you can edit the source code of the coin.
Which coin you choose depends on the specifics of your use case of course. Note that everyone will try to convince you to use their coin.

but this is just a ripoff copy How do you come to this conclusion? I'm really curious about this. Did you read about what the goals of this project are? Well, not fixing the little things is a sign of second rate Devs, for example: (1) After many months the Windows wallet crashes on exit. (2) After many months the Windows wallet triggers warnings from Avast about web sites that are accessed. Fix this shit, please. If you encounter these types of problems, please come to Slack and I'm sure they will be solved. We have a #support channel for this. The first one is a known problem afaik. If you want to help, please also open a bug report on https://github.com/spectrecoin/spectre/issues and describe the problem. Open bugs on Github will (normally) be solved eventually, as that is the nature of a bug tracking system. It is not a "ripoff copy", devs are honest and working hard. There may be technical problems as well as communication issues (bug reports being overlooked etc.) because this project is in alpha stage yet. Please report any problems you encounter and try to solve these issues, so at the end everyone will be happy!

Just wanting to draw attention the IRC channel here that we have on Freenode: #spectre... it is not currently owned by the devs, but they may be able to claim it, if there are enough people who use it.

Transparency is a good thing, the ICO looked fair to me.
I've always believed the only fair coins are mined with an announced start. I made an exception for SDC due to the concept, execution, and unique features. I'm sorry to say this coin looks like a complete scam. But that's just me. I'm not normally one to piss on another coin, but this is just a ripoff copy, and in this case I think a lot of people are going to get screwed. Hope I'm wrong... What makes you think that way? Just the fact that it has been an ICO? but this is just a ripoff copy How do you come to this conclusion? I'm really curious about this. Did you read about what the goals of this project are?

So, how is this going to work? Is the current web-based chat just a prototype? Is the final chat going to be fully decentralized with people chatting via the wallet? Or what other role will the web-based chat play?
only chat room anybody chat and earn chat coin Sorry I don't quite understand what you are saying. I don't see anything decentralized here, could you elaborate a bit on how this will be decentralized?

There was a time when CryptoCoderz would write a weekly status update (Update Friday?), to keep people informed what was happening. Can we have it back please? This place has been silent for weeks, with no notice from the devs whatsoever. Even after asking on Slack what they were doing, I wasn't able to get a clear answer. I'm sure everyone here is hungry for news, even if it's bad news ... just something ... The devs working hard, as BelgianBoy stated. I can also confirm lots of work being done, very busy in a lot of aspects (hence the silence) Yes I understand, but I fail to see why one couldn't free 10 minutes a week and write 3 sentences about WHAT is being done.

I don't get these kind of platforms. Every investor will be profiting more if he is only investing for himself, because doing a trade with amount A is always easier, buying as well as selling, than doing a trade with amount A+B where B is the part that you investing with other people's money. Unless I'm getting like 50% profit share, this only makes my life more difficult.

how many btc raised? anyone?
This has been answered a dozen times. About 16 BTC were raised. @mandica maybe you should really include it in the ANN regardless, just to stop people from asking the same questions over and over again. The ICO results were low, but nothing to be ashamed of so maybe just put it on the first page in big red letters. If some noobs will be scared away by "oh my god the price has increased by factor 30 already since ICO", then only people with some technical understanding will profit, so what. The large user base will come later with people who have no technical background at all.

Im waiting at 500sats. ICO price - ~83 satoshi. Waiting for the dump. As I said. Do you really believe that the "true" market cap of Spectre is 15k USD? Pls announce the ICO result in the thread and official web site, it helps this coin to make forward. How much bitcoins did you receive by ICO? How many accounts join in ICO? Could you explain this? The problem with the ICO result is that it is pretty disappointing, so it's bad advertisement for the project. IIRC they were something like 16.5 BTC were raised, and the total supply (pre-POS) of 20.000.000 was distributed, which makes a price of 83 SAT. Now when people read this and see that the current price is 2000 SAT they may think it's extremely overvalued already. But the truth is, Spectre started at a market cap of 15k USD, which was extremely undervalued, and now has a market cap of 360k USD, and may go up to 1+ Mio. easily in the future.

Yes, sir. The first address that you are seeing here is the escrow address used by OgNasty during ICO. You can simply find it by pasting it into Google. Uuh, very suspicious. The pattern of funds transfer is not object of my judgment here. Apparently they used a software that splits the fund for every transaction, and creates a new address. Nothing wrong with that IMO. Am i missing the document url to see whats happening with the ico funds in real time? Is there one? If not why not? Will you start one?
In real time?? Stop making yourself even more ridiculous, for your own sake. As has been said, devs are not accountable for what they do with the raised money. Especially not to you. Staking has been disabled in the Android version but may come as an option if there is any need for this.
I don't think staking makes much sense for an android wallet, it's better to use something like a Rapsberry Pi for that. But why not implement it as an option for those who want it?

Coin with 20 000 000 suply can easy reach 10 cents per coin. It's sure that all depended from development. I'm in We have completed the first stage of building a Spectrecoin Android wallet and will be releasing the beta in the next few days. This is a full wallet, i.e. it connects through Tor and has all the anonymity features of the desktop wallet but with a simple user interface.
There you go! The funny thing is, some fool dumped his XSPEC down to 0.00001000 just today. I'm sure he will regret it very soon. Great job @ Spectre team!

Its just strange now that Mandica and you lot want to convince yourselves that its a big future here but don't want to answer some simple questions that prove many things at next to zero cost for you. If so, can you please explain in a short summary, the reasons for not choosing each one? Did you even know they all existed? Could you explain to me why you chose the sdc source over Pinocchio, dash and or monero or your own? Again, short summary please. You are asking for "short summaries" for the reason to not base on each of one of 8 projects! Comparing one to 8 different projects in a technically accurate way is a LOT of work, certainly more than "next to zero cost". Also the choice of the origin software that is being forked from is part of the MISSION of a project. The mission of Spectre is to improve on ShadowCash, not any of the other ones you listed. Devs decided to ignore your questions and instead spend their time on the project, as you requested. There are a lot more important things to do. More times then not, If i end up in a thread challenging the community and developer of it. The project goes no where and is usually dead in a few months. Do the math here. THIS is a huge red flag my friend. Are you trying to threaten this project? You keep spreading poison here. People on Slack call you a troll, but trolls only try to annoy other people. You are spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD) here, in the most disgusting way I have ever seen. Are you seeing anyone else here spreading FUD? Or even agreeing with you? You are the only one. Please leave us alone. Missed that ICO....what was the ICO price?
quick answer would be nice 83 sats 83 sats dump it! people are really crazy if not dumping it As has been said many times, the ICO was massively undervalued. I don't know the reason for this, but it's not the dev's fault. All early investors here are headed for the future, not the past. 3000 SAT is still undervalued, that's why people hold. We're waiting for the project to build the App, which is in the making, and bring it to the masses.
