Could this plugin fully replace torrent sites like thepiratebay theoretically? If so, this would be a huge potential for getting new users.

when is the torrent client released?

I don't know but keep up with these two project threads to see how they are progressing:

https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/%28preview%29-torrents-plugin/
https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/nxttorrents-my-efforts-updates-and-need-help/

They are the two torrent projects that I know about.
10605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | 100% POS | Assets | Names | Voting | Automated Transactions on: May 05, 2015, 05:24:32 PM
Wow that is amazing. It shows the potentional of decentralized storing. No website can be take down from authorities for instance.

btw. vbcs is now setting some constants for AT, including block height after AT is enabled. So, an exact date is going to be known soon.
Fee per one AT step will be most likely 0.1 Qora...

This topic is kinda old but I am looking for an API of Bitcointalk in order to fetch information about forum users (post counts). Has there an API been released in the meantime?
10608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Auroracoin - A new chapter in the history of Iceland! on: May 02, 2015, 02:35:06 PM

10609  Local / Biete / (WTS) deutschsprachige Cryptocoin Forum Community on: May 02, 2015, 02:30:42 PM
Hallo,

@bennybong: If you reference to my post then you need to know that the computer does not need to be online in order to be unsecure. What I meant is completely independed from your wallet.

Read this to get what I meant: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=354518.0
10611  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: News sites and blogs about crypto coins on: May 02, 2015, 02:09:00 PM
Why? It also matters Bitcoin and I think it is also interested for new users coming in to the crypto coins topic.
If the mods are consider that this is the wrong section they should move the thread.

I think you should move this thread to altcoins board
10612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most liquid altcoin? on: May 02, 2015, 02:02:24 PM
It would matter. But people will not have trust in it for long when it is not fully decentralized. Same as with all the fiat currencies. Why should people use Ripple when there is already Paypal, Neteller etc which doing exactly the same. So in my view it is doomed to fail as a digital currencies long term.

Okay, got it, but in my view Ripple is not a fully decentralized crypto coin as the most other ones.

Maybe that's the beauty in it and makes it different. Smiley I don't like the concept, but it is something which can make you profit. It's like 95% of the coins out there - we don't like them, but we day trade them.

But if it went from .01 to 10 USD, would that matter to you?  Honestly...

You mean Litecoin?

No, Ripple.  Or anything for that matter.  Rocks, marbles.. whatever...  If the value went from .01 to 10 USD, would it even matter what it is?
10613  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: JUST HAD 0.92329 BTC STOLEN - HOW??? on: May 02, 2015, 01:58:10 PM

Hmm... it is really not probable.

Probably I am a little paranoid but every time I am creating a new bitcoin address I check first if it is among the first 10000 addresses. I even wrote a simple python script to check this Smiley
10614  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: JUST HAD 0.92329 BTC STOLEN - HOW??? on: May 02, 2015, 12:49:58 PM
Have you proofed if your address is on the first (lets say 500) pages of directory.io? It is almost unlikely but it is possible. Many people are trying all those private keys of first pages in the hope to find an account with some balance.
10615  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling Cheap Ciggarettes!! Need Advice on: May 02, 2015, 12:32:29 PM
You forgot the custom fee you need to pay extra by importing them into the most countries. Custom fee on cigarettes is usually very high, so the cheaper buying price is equalized.

Hi, I came from a country where cigarettes are cheaper. I am thinking if I could sell this Item legally accepting bitcoins as payment and ship it worldwide if possible. I need advise everyone cause I want to make a piece of this kind of business.

Thank you in advance.

I can sell.

Marlboro Fliptop or Any other cigarrettes depending on your request!

Okay, got it, but in my view Ripple is not a fully decentralized crypto coin as the most other ones.

Why do you think the market cap of Ripple will reacht $1bln after the Bitcoin reward halves? Don't get the point.

Bitcoin is halving next year. Litecoin has nothing to do with Ripple's market cap - I just pointed that the reward will halve. I think that Ripple will break $1B, because it is not just coin/asset and it actually have business-oriented team behind it. Not just some trolls who post here.

How the hell is betting on the result of a soccer game related to Bitcoin discussion. Go to Off-Topic section and post your question there.
10618  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: News sites and blogs about crypto coins on: May 02, 2015, 12:11:50 PM
It is a nice list now, but I am wondering if there are some more good sites?
10619  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What's your contribution to the Bitcoin ecosystem? on: May 02, 2015, 12:06:16 PM
My contribution to Bitcoin ecosystem is using Bitcoin daily as payment system for web-based services like webhosting or buying stuff by exchanging Bitcoin against coupons and stuff like that.
10620  Economy / Lending / Re: [Must read] This is important on: May 02, 2015, 12:00:31 PM
Are you not afraid in losing your Bitcoins by using Windows XP as your operating system? It's really careless  Cool

Please don't waste your time, no collateral = no loan for newbie
