Liberland has not been offically acknowledged by any country or organization yet. Although it has neither inhabitants nor buildings or infrastructure on its ground. It does not make sense to talk about that NEM or Bitcoin could be the offical currency of that "country". It's just a marketing gag in my eyes.

Awesome! XEM is second (114 votes) after Bitcoin (183 votes) on voting for Liberland currencie:

A brand new cryptocurrencie for a brand new country

10623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most liquid altcoin? on: May 02, 2015, 11:19:46 AM
Why do you think the market cap of Ripple will reacht $1bln after the Bitcoin reward halves? Don't get the point.

Most liquid altcoin would be Litecoin, but if you're an investor with at least $100k you would look for volume so Doge, Ripple and Dash would be a candidate as well.

I would bet on Litecoin, but we will know more after the reward halves in about 4 months. Ripple will break $1B market cap! Doge is dying imo and I don't like Dash.

10625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What is the most liquid altcoin? on: May 02, 2015, 09:32:57 AM
What is the most liquid coin after Bitcoin? I mean, what coin is used at most for trading, buying, investing etc?

If you take the trading volume it must be Litecoin.

What do you think?
10626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | 100% POS | Assets | Names | Voting | Automated Transactions on: May 02, 2015, 09:27:06 AM
When installing the wallet, does it automatically start participating in the POS with whatever balance is in there? And what should I expect to see under the generated blocks tab.. all generated blocks or just related to my addresses?

As soon as your wallet is running you are participating on the network. No matter how much balance you have. Under generated blocks tab, you see all your generated blocks.

Visit TheBitcoinPage http://www.thebitcoinpage.com/
It lists a couple of hosting sites which accept Bitcoin as payment option.

Has someone already installed the script? Is it working the way the creator is promising?

10630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you invest in a coin? on: May 01, 2015, 09:46:41 PM
Points I look at before investing into coins.

  • Good and reliable developers (developers have constantly delivered in the future)
  • Well-structured project organization (developers, marketing, bounty-funds, etc)
  • Promising feature plans
  • Active community
  • New tech (no pure clones)
10631  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BtcBB] - Forum Software made for crypto enthusiast [Market Software] on: May 01, 2015, 09:36:09 PM
Do you develop the forum from scratch or do you use some other open source code as base?
10632  Economy / Economics / Re: German economic conditions are holding up despite the Greek crisis on: May 01, 2015, 09:23:59 PM
In my opinion, there are three factors why the German economy is still doing very well despite all the dangers at the horizon: cheap oil, an extremely week Euro (researchers say that Germany can live with a Dollar/Euro rate of 1.6/1) and the deindustrialization of many other countries.
10633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Freicoin: global community-currency from the Occupy movement on: May 01, 2015, 09:17:52 PM
That's exactly what Freicoin do. If you don't use your coins and just hodl them you will lose a part of them from time to time. If I remember right, it is 5% per year. The aim is to create a liquid circulation of the coins.

Isn't this the coin that deprecated with time as it tried to (in my opinion and in the opinion of a lot other people, which is what made this coin just another meh alt) emulate the deterioration of physical coins with time?
I think it's just pointless. People want to be able to hold their coins intact, that's what makes BTC cool above the classic alternatives.
10634  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin + Altcoin Mini Portfolio on: May 01, 2015, 09:12:39 PM

This was predictable. The dev made a good business and disappeared with the funds. It is the common scheme of the most new ICO coins. Sad developement in my eyes  Embarrassed

10637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Auroracoin - A new chapter in the history of Iceland! on: May 01, 2015, 04:59:48 PM
I was a stakeholder of the "old" Auroracoin. Can you please provide information how this coin differs from the old one and how you are planning to reach all islandic inhabitants this time?
10638  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: May 01, 2015, 04:58:23 PM
Girls are only interested in guys which made a lot of cash through Bitcoins  Grin IMHO, Bitcoin itself is only interesting for nerdy girls not for the normal ones.
10639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: FAUCET for NEM (XEM) on: May 01, 2015, 04:46:36 PM
There isn't a faucet for NEM yet. It has been asked several times on nemforum.

Does anyone know if there is a faucet for NEM (XEM), the New Economy Movement coin?
