"ain't we got fun" immediately reminded me of the Little Friskies commercial from the mid 1970's - that damned TV is a powerful tool weapon.

Thank gawd I'd already almost freed myself from TV by the 1970s.

I was thinking more of the classic from the Roaring '20s a century ago.

Here's a more recent version:

Good morning Bitcoinland. Now that April NFTers' Day is officially behind us, we can get back to reality.

After a splendid month of March (soaring from $49k to $59k) we can look forward to continuing this amazing bull run by going for an unprecedented 7th consecutive green monthly candle.

For now, we're still going sideways in the $5xxxx range, albeit knocking on the $60k door... currently $59315USD/$74538CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

When we finally break through, watch out.

Go Bitcoin go.

If you are buying 600mm worth OTC what's 1% to keep the price "oracle" in line?

People are probably tired of me saying this, but I just can't see how this is not what is currently in play... and it is ridonkulously bullish once it stops working.

Indeed. I've been trying to remind people about this for years but there are still some who act as if online exchange prices are strictly the result of supply and demand with "whales" being equal participants.

Obviously since most high-level holders operate over-the-counter off-exchange, they can use online exchanges mainly to dump to keep nominal prices artificially low for buying offline.

Where do people think the "bear whales" keep coming up with the coins to crash (correct) the price down periodically? Not at online exchanges.

...and the rich get richer and the poor get poorer... ain't we got fun?

Badger is toying with 60k again.

And immediately a $6m sell wall appears.

Only after it went down from the pump though, that 6mil will probably be pulled if it goes back up.

Or is that Bob's 60k sell he was talking about

A third if it got eaten in nibbles.

Started at 100 coins nibbled down to 70.

Did the trick... slowed down the rally.

Ok guys, I'll have to come out: I AM PROUDHON! Muahahahahahahaha!!!.....  Cool
Yeah and I'm csw

Screw both of you guys.

I'm Proudhon and CSW.

I even don't know who they are.... Do they matter for any reason ?? Anything worth mentioning ??

CSW invented math and science. Proudhon invented "blockchain technology", which powers the NFT revolution.

My gift to all you WO Members on this April Fool's Day.
Enjoy.

-bunch of oversized pics-

Thanks for posting all your pics at 850 width. I can make them out even with my old eyes.

Maybe you could try something wider next time so we can all have the fun of scrolling them sideways.
1088  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 01, 2021, 01:53:38 PM
Good morning NFTland.

Still going sideways... currently 3.14159btc (NFTaverage).

I need more herbal tea.

Go altcoins go.
____

Edit:

Who stole all my fNFTs? I worked so hard to get them. All my Theymoscoins too.

Now I can't afford Uber Eats. I'll have to go to Taco Bell to get authentic food.
1089  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2nd Part of the big bullrun is starting now on: March 30, 2021, 02:42:59 PM
Looking like we starting stage 2 of the big bullrun, target 89k

Are you kidding? Stage2?

We're right in the middle of stage 1.

$89k?

At least 6 digits. Quite likely $300k-$350k maybe more.

"Be like a cat, my friend. Be strong like a #strongcat with #stronghands." I could have been possibly drunk too, can't remember.

Maybe the cat was drunk too.

Good to HoDL, but better to (also) enjoy while we can!

It's possible to do both. Easy in fact.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still in the $5xxxx range but creeping higher... currently $58188USD/$73311CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

$60k soon? A new ATH shortly after that? $70 within a week?

Go Bitcoin go.
___

All this talk about merit begging got me wondering. Why all the fuss about merit? It seems activity is more precious.

I'll give 1 merit to anyone who sends me activity points.

Oh, wait...

 Cool

I've still got a couple of BTC logo ballcaps which I bought with Bitcoin. This one is the most recent and it's over 6 years old:

I got it because I was sick of people seeing my first one with the proper orange logo and thinking I was a Boston Bruins fan.

Needless to say, I haven't worn either one for years. Almost everyone can identify the Bitcoin logo now.

I seem to recall paying about a third of a coin for the first one. I was happy just to be supporting the Bitcoin "movement" by using it to buy something.

Of course that was a lot of money for a ballcap but I have no regrets. I feel I was doing my part.

Hopefully Laszlo is living extremely happily ever after. He more than did his part.
1094  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you guys happy if bitcoin will dropped to $10k? Why? on: March 27, 2021, 08:01:15 PM
I think the whole premise of this poll is flawed.

There is very close to zero chance of going as low as $30k let alone $10k.

Even $40k might be rock bottom after "the big crash" after visiting 6 digits later this year.

$10k is just wishful thinking on the part of no-coiners and tarders.
1095  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 27, 2021, 04:19:01 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

The $5xxxx range consolidation continues.... currently $55700USD/$70251CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

It is rising though. Go Bitcoin go.

Here we have it, another classic example from someone winning a lot of money and blew it away on drugs, fake friends, parties, three boob jobs, impuls shoppings, etc... all gone.

Don't end up like here, if you became wealthy make sure you stay wealthy.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/14458885/lotto-winner-callie-rogers-car-crash-cocaine-benefits/

These things are inevitable because the satisfaction we crave is in seeking rather than achieving the goals we set; either the bar or the person must get higher.

I guess I'm lucky for having been raised so strictly that I actually get a higher kick out of avoiding to spend money instead of spending it...

I think a large part of it is consumerism propaganda. People have been brainwashed into wanting to spend money instead of saving and investing it. They've been trained to want silly crap like designer clothes, cars, hookers, blow, etc.

Even when they do invest it, it's in the form of retail scam "investments" like stocks, bonds, mutual funds etc., instead of creating new enterprises or promoting new technologies.

The whole lottery scam is just an extension of this. First you brainwash people into spending as soon as they earn. Then you get them to spend what they haven't earned yet. Then you con them into gambling on a scam with much worse odds than Vegas or Monte Carlo. Even when they do fluke a win, they often (usually?) blow it all anyway, mostly on consumerist crap, and end up back as debt slaves.

...and the rich get richer and the poor get poorer...

Ain't we got fun!

I kind of wonder what is considered to be official forum time... frequently, I consider it to be UTC.. but then other times eastern time is used as a reference...   Likely you are referring to UTC.. and that seems to make the most sense.,. in terms of bitcoin and when daily candles close.. etc...

I was referring to EDT.

Actually I consider "morning" to be whenever you get up.

I used to get up at the crack of noon but lately I'm getting up a lot earlier. I still think of 9:00AM as farmers' hours though.

Thanks. Married a Mexican cutie 28 years my junior in February 2020 after being with her for about a year.

Old-fashioned girl... understands the differences between men and women. Also smart... knew about Bitcoin when it was worth a buck but couldn't do anything about it at the time. We'd already been together some time before I told her I was a hodler and it blew her mind.

When it was worth a buck, couldn't or wouldn't? Even in Mexico, there must have been some exchanges accessible to buy a few bucks. That's everyone's story though ... everyone knew about Bitcoin when it was a buck.

Mexico's a big country. She was living in the state of Quintana Roo where there is no Bitcoin infrastructure and banks are basically for tourists. Most natives don't use banks. She was also in a remote village where there is no phone service and intermittent internet connectivity.

I wish I knew about Bitcoin when it was $1. I didn't discover it until January 2013 and by then it was already $15.

we added an extra $100kCAD an hour before the vendor was considering all the offers. The extra hundred grand was nothing compared to the millions by which our coins increased in value while we patiently waited.

Wow, that's a pretty good vendor intel right there.
Is it typical in Canada to be told the decision time by an hour?
I never heard about it here, where they just vaguely tell you that a better offer was received.
One time my buying agent was clearly in cahoots with the selling agent (that is completely illegal)-we even had to have a consult with a lawyer.

On Wednesday when I made an appointment with my agent to put together an offer and meet me on Thursday to sign it, there were no other offers.

On Thursday when I met her to sign, she said the vendor's agent had told her there was another offer. I signed for the asking price. I trust my agent but I don't know the vendor's agent.

Then later that afternoon she called to tell me there was yet another offer. She also said that the vendor's agent told her that the vendor and his lawyer were going to meet with him at noon the next day to assess all three offers.

Later that night after clearing my head with a few drinks, I was suspicious about the flurry of last-minute offers. I realized that maybe the other agent wasn't being completely forthcoming about all the offers and maybe he was holding back an offer where he stood to make both ends of the commission by representing both the vendor and the purchaser. That's when I decided to throw in the extra $100k and waive several conditions to make a preemptive strike and make sure we got the lake.

I met my agent at 9:30AM on Friday, initialed all the changes to the offer and she got it to the vendor's agent around 11:00AM.

Talk about the eleventh hour!

Good morning oops, it's after noon Bitcoinland.

Still dragging along in the $5xxxx range... currently $53851USD/$67743CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

March was OK, got us over $50k, but it's time to move up. C'mon April, take us to $70k (and beyond).

Go Bitcoin go.
____

Thank gawd my wife is smart enough to let me make the Bitcoin decisions.

Closest she came to interfering was back in January when she was worried about missing out on our lake and wanted to sell enough for a deposit. I explained that holding on for even a couple more months would make a big difference and that I didn't think anyone else would grab the lake in the middle of covid winter.

Turns out our timing was good. By the time we signed an offer, several other offers had been made but we added an extra $100kCAD an hour before the vendor was considering all the offers. The extra hundred grand was nothing compared to the millions by which our coins increased in value while we patiently waited.

She's glad now that we waited. We get our lake and our millions.

Thank you Bitcoin.
