Just Clarify one of above pictures. The weight of coin is 61.3 grams in the holder. The decimal point didn't show up in the picture.
Right on, thanks. My cryptonic .999 copper in a yellow slab is 60.8g .. So yeah, close enough!

The guy on ebay been selling those ANACS graded 2012 coppers for years. He must have bought a bunch when they came out. Id say that's your best bet since there is no way to confirm otherwise. Those coins have no holograms or COA associated with it. That Michael Bruce design has been used over and over again so other than having it tested to be 100% copper no way to catch a fake. Having an ANACS graded is your best bet. I have one of these myself. But truly ANACS is just grading the condition not that its an original from 2012. Unless it was graded in 2013 or something like that.
The guy on ebays' coin's are graded in the past few years - if they were older than 2018-2019-ish, they would be jungle-green or yellow. The light green was the last colored label they used before stopping grading crypto coins. I don't think I'd even trust anacs to grade it as copper - Does anyone remember the fake Sol Noctis they graded as ms69 that wasn't even silver? [link needed sorry] thanks for the ANACS info owl. Yeah theres really no way to be 100% certain that the MJB coin your getting is indeed one of the original 2012s thats in the encyclopedia. I did email with the ebay guy about these actual questions. He stated he bought them in 2012 but we all know how that goes. The coins do look good. I did buy one of the ms69 coins years back. I will say that this isnt a highly counterfeitied coin. If you were going to make fakes you'd think youd go for casacius. But still its a gamble. Yep, absolutely 100% - I'd be curious to know the weight of one in the slab. I have another ANACS 1 oz copper of a diff variety that I could compare against that I know for sure is copper lol. I would think you could tell as copper is a bit heavier than steel or brass..

clipse, you won't get any "Bargain" deals on the 1/1 cards. My guess is they'll start at $100,000---$150,000. Because 10 years from now they'll be valued up in the "Stupid" Richie Rich category...bummer Um... Fattcat, ... Did he ask about those super-magical cards you must have? No. He did not. Get with the program and get off your high horse cuz nobody here cares lol.

so the forum holds millions of dollars of BTC and can't implement 2FA? I don't think that's a money thing. Personally, I like using just my password, and I hate how more and more websites make it exceedingly complicated to login. 2FA would also lead to more users losing access to their account. Maybe the minimum password requirements when creating a new account could be updated to be actually secure at least? IDK, I agree on the lost 2FA thing, I just find it confounding that all that BTC was wasted on software that 100% of nobody has any interest in using, obviously.. Don't forget if you're on a TOR like browser, you can get a piece of code at the end of the URL that overrides the need to endlessly Captcha / click on a blade of grass or a puff of smoke etc. when logging in. You should be the only one that has access to that unique URL.
Kind of like a lite version of 2FA (kind of)
Interesting, I didn't know that but then again I don't use TOR, it's slow af for me and I don't see the benefit when most exit nodes are NSA from what I read... Question, do you still have to pay BTC for using "Evil" IP addresses? If you don't know what i"m talking about then the answer must be no...

I'm not sure if assuming everyone is honest because I'm honest is a good practice.
This where people got scammed entrusting funds to escrow without multi-Sig I believe most escrow users don't know about this.
It's definitely NOT a good practice, you will get burned sooner or later. I think most people get scammed not because of no multi-sig, but lately more because their forum account is hacked mid-transaction, and then all hell breaks loose ... Case in point: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5367587.0

Hope this isn't too far off topic, but this is a thread about escrowing: Do escrows get a fee or a tip for their services usually? I think it's typically 1% ($500 in the above case), which I think is a lot of money for very little work. It would totally be worth it if real security was offered including a refund for messing up, but clearly that's not the case. Sorry if this appears to be a silly question, but knowledge is power, and I've been meaning to ask this question for a long time but have always forgotten. Who pays the 1% fee for an escrow service between the buyer and the seller? Or is the money withdrawn automatically from the escrowed amount before it is sent to the seller by the escrow provider? The Satoshi multi-sig idea of simple escrow service is not longer in use, it is still the best practice since it protects both the buyer and the seller from the escrow provider - at the very least, it prevents the escrow from fleeing with the money. In collectibles, the buyer always pays the escrow fee. If I sell someone something, and they want escrow, it's just going to cost them more money and more time. Not to say I don't accept escrow, but generally most people don't request it from me anymore, as trust is earned here and I believe I've more than earned mine. I don't know of anyone using multi-sig for escrow on the forum for anything, other than forum funds held by thermos & "treasurers"..
