1121  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [185 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: January 16, 2014, 03:06:04 PM
So, just ran my 120GH on p2pool for 24 hours.  Payout stands at 0.004BTC.  That's shit.  Barely pays for the power used running a PC all day.

Back to a real pool.

1980 called, it wants to get it's cliche back.
1123  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER ASIC FPGA miner monitoring RPC linux/win/osx/mips/arm/r-pi 3.10.0 on: January 16, 2014, 08:26:27 AM
There's something up with 3.10.0 and Nanofurys.  I was using 3.9.0 with 2xNanofurys and a Bitburner Fury.  3.10.0 worked for a few days, and now segfaults with a glibc error upon execution if the nanos are plugged in.  Works perfectly with just the Bitburner.  cgminer segs as soon as I plug the nanofurys in, too.

Running on Debian Wheezy on x86.

Still having issues getting the Nanofurys to work on nwooll's version of bfg.  Running it on Debian, hidapi is installed correctly as far as I can tell (no warning or errors when setting up bfg).

Any ideas?
I've heard of issues with nanofurys on Ubuntu from a friend. bfgminer segfaults and re-plug needed or something.
Could you elaborate more on what issues do you get?
Have you tried compiling bfgminer disabling what you don't need in configure?

They don't appear.  At all.

No, I haven't tried disabling other stuff, because with my collection of miners I basically use just about everything.  Besides, that was an old version of modded 3.9.0 I was talking about, not 3.10.0 - I haven't had a chance to check out 3.10.0.

Oddly, I was using cgminer to run the Nanofurys, but yesterday it's segfaulting with them.  I had to unplug them to get my other, faster miners that need cgminer to work working.

I bet there's no virus at all.  I bet it's a false positive from whatever crapshit AV you're running.

When is Bfg 3.10 downloadable from github ?

Probably a few seconds after it's released, at a guess.   Huh

Wow, such a helpful response...

HERP DERP.   Roll Eyes  New version available when new version released, like always.

Why is Hex Miner infected by Trojan/MSIL.BitCoinMiner.b

Ever since I used your software I have had over 0.2 BTC stolen from my wallet.

This was Downloaded from your site.

Please explain yourselves

Why are you posting this here?  This is not Technobit's personal inbox, is it?  Roll Eyes

OK, so it seems some ASICs work better than they used to.  My apologies.  Still, the bulk of my miners are ASICMiner, which still don't work with p2pool.
1130  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICminer Cube group buy #9 (Accepting orders) on: January 14, 2014, 09:36:13 PM
Got my Cube rewired last week - it's now running on the OCZ 600W PSU using both 12V rails (using a 8-pin ATX to 6-pin PCI-E).  It's got a 6 day uptime at just a shade over 38GH.  Working perfectly.
1131  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Asic Cube switches off after short time on: January 14, 2014, 01:32:49 PM
A lot of people run them off the CX750.  Mine doesn't work off my CX750 at all.

Try and find a single rail PSU, or one that has 2 rails of at least 25A a piece.  The OCZ 600W I have has two 25A 12V rails, and it works fine.  It'll actually run the Cube off one rail at Low speed.

It's a OCZ ModXStram Pro 600W (OCZ600MXSP-UK).  It was the cheapest 'decent' PSU I could get off Amazon.
1132  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: January 14, 2014, 01:29:02 PM
Minepeon work with Antminer devices yet?

Soon - bfgminer 3.10.0 is coming in the next few days which has U1 support.  At the moment you have to hack in the nwoolls version of bfg to support them, I think.
1133  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: help needed getting started with Jones' gear cube on: January 14, 2014, 11:45:37 AM
You need to put your router's IP in the gateway.
1134  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: SERIOUS cooling for Antminer U1 on: January 14, 2014, 11:34:30 AM
I don't know what fans the Antminer uses but there are some seriously fast fans out there.

The U1 has no fan.  You're thinking about the S1.

No, because it's not possible unless you change a component on the board.
My erupter is atm mining emark @ 664 Mh/s: of course I did not changed any component on the board.
If you read the link above, you will get the "trick" to overclock it (changing some timing parameter).

Actually it isn't - it's just a "trick" which makes cgminer's bugged interface report a faster speed than it's actually mining.

But, hey, knock yourself out if you think you're getting more speed than is physically possible.
1136  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Asic Cube switches off after short time on: January 14, 2014, 11:03:16 AM

It runs off a Corsair cx750 M

There's your problem.

Mine wouldn't work at all off my Corsair, or off an old Dell PSU, or off a 30A bench supply.  It does work fine off a cheap OCZ 600W PSU, though.
1137  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: What to do with mining chips? on: January 14, 2014, 10:51:41 AM
If you're asking this question, you shouldn't be buying the chips.

It's like buying the pistons out of a car engine off eBay and then starting to build your own car to put them in.
1138  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.9.0: modular ASIC+FPGA, GBT+Strtm, RPC, Mac/Lnx/W64, Merry Christmas! on: January 14, 2014, 10:46:24 AM
Hi,
is there anyway to overclock Usb block erupter (icarus), like is possibile with cgminer [1]?

No, because it's not possible unless you change a component on the board.
1139  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Can we trust Butterfly Labs to deliver? on: January 14, 2014, 09:27:06 AM

I'm aware of Butterfly Labs and Avalon as ASIC providers and I've been looking into some of the Black Arrow line more recently. Any advice on what's good right now?

Well, there's the Avalon clones coming out of China - they're cheap,  200GH using about 1000W of power.  There's the Antminer S1 which is about 180GH and uses about 360W of power.  Those are the only ones I can think of that are reliably shipping, if you ignore the ASICMiner Cube which is 38GH at about 300W.

I'm not sure that there's much faster that's shipping at the moment.

BFL stuff is slow, and expensive, but it Just Works.  I've a pair of Jalapenos, and they just mine.  I've never any trouble with them.  Can't say the same about any of the other mining equipment I have, which has all given trouble at some point in the past.
1140  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Can we trust Butterfly Labs to deliver? on: January 14, 2014, 09:13:56 AM

Is Butterfly Labs a safe investment at this point? Will they deliver what they're advertizing on time and in an acceptable fashion?

Their equipment isn't competitive any more.  The power/hash ratio is too high.  For the same money you can get much more power efficient miners that are faster.
