1121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.1c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: November 22, 2020, 05:52:42 PM
I am not a developer and wish I was. I have been mining since 2016. I would have had this miner well tested before deployment. I cannot comprehend to you the number of issues I have run into the latest Phoenix miner, DAG level, and Polaris cards when running large scale GPU farms. I manage and own a few, all running Windows Server with proper data center infrastructure management in place. It's as if Phoenix miner has only focused on development for Vega and Navi GPUs, but forgotten about Polaris as the DAG has limit increased. All of my Navi based rigs are fine for the most part. I manage many. Yes Claymore should be getting just as much backlash for not at all providing support but he is not available for commentary. Phoenix has been here and known about this encroaching issue. Please do something about this. We rely no stability.

HAHAHA....big time miner so he says...but just registered here today.

His first post....way to soil the waters and remove all doubt about your idiocy.

ETC will soon have a dag that fits 4gb...we are talking days away. just over a week.  Then this card can mine ETC no isssue.

Have error on reboot of miner. HiveOS, phoenixminer 5.2d.

Any advice?

What are the cards in the system?
Assume you are mining ETC?

1125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: November 19, 2020, 10:02:29 PM
Yeah every so often ive seen it on ethermine and they had something else as payments were pending for 48 hrs.  Then late last night came the days payout and the one before.

Nano lost its account look up on its pools last night for hours.  It was restored this morning.  Was getting shares accepted but no matter whos wallet you put in was not found.  Even the last mined blocks wallets.  It showed the last 10 or so mined blocks and who mined them but when you clicked them same as when i hit my usual pool page to check my miners.

And Nice Hack had some issues with its web page evidently (dns attack / screw up).  Anyways...such is life on the internet.
1126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TeamRedMiner 0.7.17 - Nimiq/Kawpow/Ethash/Cryptonight and More on: November 19, 2020, 05:37:27 PM
I have 15 GH eth mining hashrate. I use Phoenixminer but it gives many incorrect shares only on navi gpus last two days. There was any problem before. I m looking for a different miner. I m trying TeamRedMiner with RX 5700 XT GPUs. I realized TeamRedMiner gives lower hashrate with same settings. What should i do ?

Figure out if higher hash rate with more incorrect shares is better/worse then lower hash rate less incorrect shares.

Generally less hash rate with fewer incorrect is better but YMMV.

Ive got both 5.0e and 5.1c mining away on linux rigs with no issue.

Running AMD 4gb cards churning away on ETH still.  (average 29~31mhs .... just like life not all cards are equal)

So what is the big problem here?  There are linux versions and for me they work great Smiley. Yet i see people begging for a linux version..and yet...i run 2 different ones.... hmmmm
1129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v15.0 (Windows/Linux) on: November 17, 2020, 08:23:34 PM
I run a single bat with 4 green an 1 red card. 3 1070ti, 1 1080ti, 1 RX580 all 8GB with a restart every 6 hours.

Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-us-west1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal XXXX -epsw x -rxboost 1 -r 240

Why the restart every 6 hours?
1130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on Nvidia Jetson Tx2 on: November 16, 2020, 02:25:05 PM
250khs is very low for kawpow.  Generally done in Mhs.

Also the gear you are using is simply not powerful enough.  This thing only have 1/8 of the cores of a 1070....   about 1/4 to 1/5 of a 1060..so not much there.  Even a 1050 (non ti) has more cores.

You are wasting your time trying to mine on this thing...but that was clear 3 years ago.

Fun to play and learn but no good for mining,
1131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.1c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: November 14, 2020, 03:21:17 PM
i try only pool.binance!
not Fee, one month.
yes , 3000 shareds to Diff 2000Mh as 1500 to 4000Mh

As it shoud be as diff goes up shares go down...but value of each share goes up so it is a wash.

Why this is important...if your mining effort is too small then you may not be able to find the higher difficulty share...so for some very small mining it is better to have a lower diff so you can actually hit blocks.  But generally this is not an issue.
1132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Pool and Solo Mining niggling question on: November 14, 2020, 03:17:49 PM
If you dont run the gpu (or cpu depending on coin/algo) then you will never find a block.  You run the hashes on the gpu/cpu attempting to find an accepted block.  Without all those tries your odds become ‘0’ (zero).  Even though you hash a lot only accepted shares count towards your pool....and blocks found in the case of solo mining.

There is no short cut.  You are constantly racing all the other miners out there to find a share/block.

Low Difficulty shares wont make more esrnings.  im mining eth at 4000mh not the 536mh binance is using.  Yes you get more shares but they are worth less than the nearly 3000 shares an hour im getting.  In the end earnings should be identical for same gh in.
1134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETHash on FPGA on: November 14, 2020, 12:52:57 AM
Eth mining on FPG is currently about 60mhs per unit.

please help me to configure tmr, all cards are 8g polaris cards windows 10.
rx480 = 26mhs and rx 570=19mhs, for 570 it is very low,claymore was getting 30mhs on rx570
dont know how to do it, since claymore dead looking good miner please help me. please share bat file, thanks

same here, rx570 4g = 30mhs but rx570 8G = 29mhs, phoenix was getting 31mhs on 8G

well you got good results. im happy for rx570 to get 28-29
how you getting 30mhs? im getting fucking 19mhs for rx570 core1150 mem=2050
core 1150 mem 2050 too, i download trm & run it, dont do anything else except change wallet

i did not do nothing just download and run. it auto tunes to A275 something like that and final results are rx480 26mhs and rx 570 19mhs fucjing. or is it your cards are bios modded? i cant mod again these cards way to many. anyway back to phoenixminer looks like not many people are using this shit teamredminer anyway, no help from developer no manual nothing, this miner sucks

Way to be a complete ingrate.  TRM is great software.  You wanna know what sucks..you as a miner.  You blame and ridicule miner authorrs when it is your problem.  TRM currently getting 30-31mhs on my 5xx series amd cards.

I would help but your attitude is so bad i dont care what happens to you.  Enjoy.

does anyway here tried this gpu, what is the hash result? I wish someone here share the mod for this card.I am still hoping that the gpu mining will soon goin to become profitable, because as a small miner we never get a good profit much of the minted coin will goes to the electricity consumption billing.

Well seeing as the cards go on sale in 8 days no...no one has much real info on them.
1138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Asus Rog Strix B450-f Gaming Amd Ryzen on: November 10, 2020, 12:40:14 AM
I had everyone filled.  That was using risers because my cards are to thick to put side by side.

You will also want to use risers because this motherboard does not have supplimental power for pcie bus like some mining boards.  Riser prevent bad things from happening.  👍
1139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: November 09, 2020, 11:12:31 PM
just the 3080 has had a lot of complaints so far as they have the inferior cap pattern.

a mixed pattern of round and rectangle caps seems to be good.

gigabyte is all of one cap (can't remember if all round or all rectangle)

this causes the hash rate to fade  from 95-100 to 75-80 over an hour or two of mining

caps? as in capacitors?

if so, seems an odd thing for caps to affect hash rate.

Not really those caps are directly on the back side of the gpu chip.  The use of loer cost caps also means they geneally have less tolerance on operational temperature.  This the ones using the cheaper mlcc caps have over heating issues that cause lost of hash.  Probably not an issue in gaming but sure creates issues for mining...which may be part of their plan.

Remeber a chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
1140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Asus Rog Strix B450-f Gaming Amd Ryzen on: November 09, 2020, 09:18:26 PM
Looks like it should.  May need an M.2 to PCIe adapter to get the 6th.  Googled a block diagram and can see 3 of the lower chip and 2 off the primary then 1 off M.2. Or you can use a 1x4 splitter on primary or secondary...should be fine but will depend on the bios control options for slots.

YMMV
