1141  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the most used indicators by institutions to detect divergences? on: October 20, 2022, 02:05:32 PM
As institutions have big capital, their main priorities are volume and they will find projects with high trading volume. That will help them to get in and get out without so much delays and issues of price impact by their big capital.

Volume is important to consider a pump is an actual growth or just a pump and dump game. Volume is critical to consider where small investors shake their hands and capitulate. Testing volume is one of last test from institutions and whales to see whether they can start to manipulate the market easily. If they test and find that they are biggest controllers in the market, they will kick off their manipulating game.
1142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum price get to 4,000 in 2022 on: October 20, 2022, 01:59:40 AM
eth may not reach 4k this year, but what i am confident with this network is it won't disappear without prior warning. as long as vitalik's team is doing their job, the possibility of reaching new price levels is always there. this is not a crap platform where devs are after for their pockets. this network is truly doing something to innovate something that will cater a lot of users, not only in crypto businesses but they are tapping other businesses that may possibly use their application to improve or enhance a specific business.
With ETH, people should apply a same approach like for Bitcoin. Invest in ETH and invest in long term. With Bitcoin as well as ETH, you don't have to worry about scam, rug pull, loss in long run.

However invest into something is easy but whether you are able to hold it long term, skip all price changes in mean time is very difficult. If you can not hold it long time, you are not real investor. Because you are not actual investor, you will likely exit when the market is boring and makes you disappointed. Loss is what you get for your investment and lack of patience.

I agree that ETH won't be able to climb to $4,000 this year but it will break $4,000 in 2024.
1143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good News: Bitcoin Achieves Guinness World Record Titles on: October 20, 2022, 01:40:17 AM
More likely that would gonna happen because right now they already started the records and they will gonna catch other records as well. They won't lose anything when they record this stuff rather they really making something new in their books because honestly, people are getting bored reading those new records that are not really necessary to be recorded like for example the fastest man to wear multiple underwear or something like that.
When newspapers and social media have more news, tweets, statuses about records for Bitcoin, we will have more noise globally. At the global extent, we will see more potential Bitcoiners be exposed to Bitcoin news and sooner or later, part of them will actually become Bitcoiners.

It is a magic natural transformation from non-Bitcoiners to real Bitcoiners. After the years (more than 1 decade), and with recent increasing adoption, more applications, more stores, merchants which accept Bitcoin, we will see the progress becomes faster. It was heated up year by year and now it has been blossoming.

Quote
This time, it is educational and seems they are a trusted source of news, more people will be recruited to find out about bitcoins and the crypto industry itself.
Education is important and globally we are witnessing many educational efforts to bring Bitcoin to the crowd. From universities, colleges to communities, officially and unofficially educational initiatives are hosted in different geo locations.
1144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins Will Go Parabolic on: October 20, 2022, 01:29:54 AM
Correct, there are a few instances in which altcoins went up in value on their own without bitcoin doing so first but this is so rare that people cannot really count on that, so until bitcoin is on a bull run then the possibility of altcoins going parabolic are basically zero, and since this is not going to happen during this year or the next one the ones that are holding altcoins will have to wait for a long time before they see any return on their investment.
It is hard to say about values of altcoins. Most of them are created in bull run, during a hottest period of a new trend, and you can say a market price at $100 is its value, if a coin listed on big exchanges, and make a top at $100. It is not a real intrinsic value of that coin. It is just because of FOMO and overvalue it from investors or traders or speculators or gamblers.

After such top up, altcoins will fall back and even will be divided 10 times, 20 times or 100 times. At that time, you can start to consider saying about their values.
1145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is due for a big break on: October 19, 2022, 01:55:04 AM
It's been undervalued and passed over by many pump and dumps over the years. It's a solid alt coin to use alongside Bitcoin.
People call Bitcoin as a digital gold and Litecoin as a digital silver. Litecoin has many years in history and it is used to deploy new technology before a real big upgrade for Bitcoin. An example is Segwit upgrade in 2017 and later is Lightning Network

Quote
Accepted more places than any other crypto, Litecoin is one of the few altcoins that I actually use.

It's low fee, fast confirmations and 2nd oldest crypto. Can't go wrong in my opinion.
Litecoin gives us lower transaction fee and fast confirmation time but you did not mention one important characteristic of Litecoin network. Its total hashrate is high enough to make it as a third safest cryptocurrency networks, after Bitcoin network and Ethereum network.

Because Ethereum changed from PoW to PoS, now Litecoin is the second strongest one in total hashrate.

From chart, I would like to wait for price from $25 to $35 to think of accumulating Litecoin.
1146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good News: Bitcoin Achieves Guinness World Record Titles on: October 19, 2022, 01:43:59 AM
The marketcap figure is not correct if we know there are many bitcoins have been lost since 2009 and very most likely those bitcoins won't be recovered.

We can not know the exact number of lost bitcoins so that we can not calculate the absolute marketcap of total bitcoins left in circulating supply. Anyway it is still good to have a rough number for Bitcoin marketcap as it somewhat shows how big or small Bitcoin is in cryptocurrency market as well as in a comparison with other markets.

I don't mind about records, Guinness World Record for Bitcoin or cryptocurrency but in reality it is not harmful but helpful to spread Bitcoin news to more people. And it is a part of Bitcoin adoption journey that is long and has lot of things to achieve.
1147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum POW - ETHW on: October 19, 2022, 01:33:48 AM
I don't think developers will join ETHW simply because they have no reason to. The PoS ETH chain has the biggest userbase in the crypto/Blockchain space, so developers will "stick" onto it for a little while. PoW-based forks of ETH are just created as a means to enrich miners and their "hodlers". But they really have no substance behind them. Just like Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, and eCash (formerly known as Bitcoin Cash ABC) turned out to be a failure, the same will happen with ETHW within the not-so-distant future.
We can not expect too many developers join ETHW and I know many Proof of Work altcoins even don't have active developments from developers. Especially altcoins from years ago like Cryptonight algorithm coins. Their networks still run by miners but it is super hard to see any updates from their developers about anything new. Many of them even don't have any tweet after many months. They are like walking deads and only wait for each altcoin season to join the wave and rise then dump again.

Quote
There are better options out there on the market with active development and innovative features. Instead of choosing ETW, you can choose ETC which is the original ETH chain going strong since 2016. It hasn't attracted developers into its platform yet, but it's a tried-and-tested blockchain network that's built to last. Ultimately, the market will decide which coin will stay and which will fade away into oblivion. As long as you don't invest more than what you can't afford to lose, there should be nothing to worry about.
I totally agree with you that Ethereum Classic ETC is better than ETHW because it has been tested by market and at least we know they actually have some sort of developments after many years. We don't know what will happen with ETHW in development and on market.

You are also right about don't invest if you don't afford to lose it. It is more than right with new coin like ETHW.
1148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin to be used for micropayments on Twitter? on: October 18, 2022, 02:49:44 AM
One of the use case of DOGE is for online tipping. Now, DOGE is a few steps away from reaching that use case with the help of Elon Musk. Now the only question is, will he really integrate crypto online tipping in Twitter if incase he will be the new owner of Twitter.
If a coin is available at crypto payment gateways like Coinpayments.net, Coingate.com, Coinsbee.com, nowpayments.io and more similar payment gateways, it would be easy to be used as a tipping method.

The challenge for Dogecoin now is just whether Twitter accepts to add it as a tipping method on Twitter. If they want to do it, the process would be done quickly.
1149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hash rate hits new all-time high! on: October 18, 2022, 02:31:28 AM
Ironically, Bitcoin's mining hashrate is increasing at a time where energy costs are rising like crazy. That's good because it means miners (and people as a whole) have faith on Bitcoin. The more the hashrate increases, the stronger the blockchain will become.
Bitcoin network is stronger with time and it is continuing even during the energy crisis globally. Sometimes, hashrate can have hiccups along the way because of weak miners capitulate or natural disasters or other reasons related to policy changes. In general, the network has a solid upward trend in total hashrate.

Quote
Those people saying "Bitcoin is dead" really don't know what they're talking about. They're only saying this Bitcoin because has fallen in price from its ATH of over $65k per coin.
Price can have pumps and dumps because of greed and fearful but value is only increase year after year. If people want to find out about value growth, let's see lowest price of each year. We can see a clearer upward trend and it reflects the growth of value for Bitcoin. The value of Bitcoin is contributed by increasing use cases and utilities for it as well as expansion of Bitcoin communities globally.
1150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Just went short on LUNC on: October 17, 2022, 02:26:25 AM
I don't think there is a need to look for the weakness of Terra Luna Classic because investors' attention may have turned to other, more promising coins to give them a profit.
It is not a perfect time to short Terra Classic. If you want to short it, wait after it has 3x, 6x increases like weeks ago when it hits $0.006. Now it has been corrected a lot and if you short it, then it blast off again. What will be your ending with your short position? Get rekted, more likely so.

Trading and speculating Terra Classic is for professional people. If anyone is newbie, don't join and use leverage with Terra Classic. You can be killed by news and fud, anytime. They can be killed by both shorting and longing it.

I will keep holding LUNC many months and wait for next bull run of Bitcoin with 2024 halving. I do it with Spot, not with margin as I expressed my worry about risk above.
1151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Provides $500M Loan for Bitcoin Miners on: October 17, 2022, 01:11:41 AM
Because if you are running an unprofitable business, the best possible thing to do is to lock up your assets for 2 years to take out a loan at 10% so you can continue to run your unprofitable business and end up even more in debt than you were to begin with. Roll Eyes
Every miner, investor has own limit and when we have a majority of miners reach their limits, we likely witness a miner capitulation. Weak miners can not afford to temporary loss and after a few months of fighting with loss, they have to capitulate and exit.

Quote
Don't be fooled in to thinking this is Binance doing something good for the network. It isn't. This is Binance doing whatever they can to make more profit for themselves, at the expense of anyone and anything else. Just as they have always done.
As a company, running a business and getting profit from its operations are most important. Binance definitely is not an exception as well as their opponents like FTX. However, consider it as a win-win situation and if people can take it to lessen their difficulty or resolve it, they must accept that they are bringing profit and reputation to Binance or FTX. It's fair enough.
1152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Usage of Blockchain technology on: October 17, 2022, 01:04:29 AM
For users who have been thinking about the real life usage of blockchain technology, here is an example. The Indian Police have launched a polygon blockchain based complaint registration portal.
Blockchain technology has so many use-cases and we will see more real applications into societies including government-based facilities and management. Data registration is only one of such application for blockchain technology. It can be used in agriculture, commerce, finance, police, health and so on.

With more developments in this technology, we will see a longer list of possible applications from it. India is not the first country that has acceptance from government like this.

Quote
Anyway, I don't know why they decided to choose Polygon. Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain are more likely better options for them than Polygon. Let they get's started, make trial, get experience and they still have lot of time and chance to change to other chains.
1153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Provides $500M Loan for Bitcoin Miners on: October 16, 2022, 02:35:11 PM
Miners have to afford to lose temporary because they can not have profit from mining in both bear market and bull market. It is easily to have profit from mining in bull market but in bear market, it is different.

In bear market, they can have very slim profit and sometimes, they even have loss. However, if they can keep mining and hold their mining rewards and wait for a next bull run, they will get very good return at the end. It would be more similar to long term investment for miners. If miners are short term miners, they will have more risk to get loss.
1154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Altcoins? on: October 14, 2022, 03:17:58 AM
In terms of potential ROI, especially if you are looking at the short term, I have to admit that at this point in time certain altcoins are definitely better than Bitcoin.
Problems with altcoins are: You can get high ROIs with them, higher than with Bitcoin in a few weeks, a few months; but when the trend is broken, you will lose more with altcoins. Another problem with altcoin investors is: they believe too much in altcoins and they hesitate to cut loss, to exit early. Therefore, when they get loss with altcoins, it should be -50%, -90% or even higher.

Quote
But, as I've always been saying, it's like finding a needle in a haystack. How many altcoins do we have now? How many of them have the potential to x10?
Bitcoin and altcoins have correlation in market capital flow that moves around between Bitcoin and altcoins. It is reason we have Bitcoin season and altcoin season.
1155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra Luna Classic - Take profit or hold? on: October 14, 2022, 03:12:44 AM
Terra Classic or LUNC can indeed be said to be one of the projects with great potential to reach 100x,
but LUNC also has the potential to dump to zero, because we know the problem at Terra LUNA is very serious
LUNC can have a very good growth after all the massacre it did on its investors in May 2022. However, the journey to 100x is not easy and I am sure it won't be a rosy one. So if you want to invest in LUNC, please don't use all capital you have for it. It is a very risky investment but at least I consider it is not gambling. Personally I have some reasons to believe in it and don't consider it as gambling.

Quote
Do Kwon the founder of LUNA has also become a fugitive, so according to me if you buy LUNC make sure you have to monitor it every day.
Do Kwon won't be a reason for LUNC to have 100x growth and I don't count him as one of factors for my investment decision. I believe that community and exchanges will play very important roles to help LUNC to grow 100x, not Do Kwon.

Forget about Do Kwon if you are LUNC investment. If you think he has effects on LUNC, you will be panic and shake hands easily when bad news about Do Kwon released.
1156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: #btc Hashrate Reach New ATH a day ago, will the bull run has begun? on: October 13, 2022, 05:27:59 AM
Hashrate can rise and fall but its general trend is upward. If you see this point, you will see that using the network hashrate as reason to invest is dumb. You can see even in bear market, hashrate still increases but price drops a lot in bear market.

Another fact is capitulation is needed for a market to start a new bull run. Do we see miner capitulation yet? I could be wrong but miner capitulation has yet occurred in this bear market. I would like to wait longer to use most of my capital to invest in Bitcoin. Current price is good to accumulate it but I don't use all my capital for accumulation at the moment.
1157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum POW - ETHW on: October 13, 2022, 05:23:06 AM
ETHW does need some developers who will start looking into the codes and bridge the ERC tokens to ETHW. If this isn't happening, the fork will just end just like ETC.

Most forks ended the same way with fewer people in the community. At the end of the day, the winning force still is ETH for on top of it are thousands of projects.
If ETC is lively and has good trading price on market, it's good for ETHW if it is moving onward similar to ETC.

However, I agree that fork project must have more developments in order to be lively and catch more attention and capital from investors. Bridge is risky at least with current bridging technologies. If ETHW team are not careful, bridging can cause so many risk and attacks on ETHW that would be death call for the newborn fork.
1158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Sport betting smart contract on: October 12, 2022, 09:42:01 AM
If you use Web3 casinos, you can connect your non custodial wallets to their casinos and bet. Because of Web3, I would like to be free with KYC but in some cases, casinos require KYC for big wins or suspicious activities when you want to claim your won money.

If the casino is legit, has good reputation (ready to pay their users), I don't mind if I have to finish KYC to claim my big win.

If the casino is new, I am more doubtful that they try to scam me and KYC is more risky. Because even if I submit documents for KYC, they might disapprove it and I will lose both, money and identity documents.
1159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STEPN (GMT) Price Prediction 2022-2030 on: October 11, 2022, 07:41:07 AM
With Play to Earn, Run to Earn tokens, the longer time you hold it, the more risk you will get.

With time, more players or runners join and they earn more tokens so that they create more selling pressure on market. Even if number of gamers or runners reaches its peak and drops after that, selling pressure from previous gamers or runners is still exist.

I don't think it is realistic to predict price of STEPN till 2030 and we even don't know will that project be lively in 2030, not mention the token price yet.
1160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin to be used for micropayments on Twitter? on: October 11, 2022, 05:43:40 AM
Why? Why Dogecoin? We all know Dogecoin is a meme coin that was built by forking Bitcoin.
So for me, this is impossible to happen (Only Dogecoin) Maybe in the future, there are lot of options buy major are the high market cap coins,
primary for sure will be Bitcoin (Lightning network also), Ethereum, and many more.
It will very likely happen if Elon Must actually buys Twitter. He is a big fan of Dogecoin and I am not doubtful that if he owns Twitter and wants to add new tipping methods for it, Dogecoin will be one of his first priorities.

If you want to explore more about Twitter's Tipping, Bringing tips to everyone
